BIC25 Happy Birthday & MOJO55 Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday!!! Beate has chosen this beautiful Canvas as the Inspiration Piece today!!! Isn't it pretty???

While the first card (below) was posted I started working on another idea - I need a couple of Birthday cards and I thought I'd continue with the same Set and color combo.

This time I'm using Julee Tilman's MOJO55 Sketch.

Since I'm using *Kraft* CS on both of my cards I'll submit these in Julee's VVPP06 Challenge too.....(today is the last day to enter - hurry!!!)

Next is my BIC card!!! Keep going....

I must admit I wasn't so sure about the colors on the Canvas first, but once I took a closer look I was getting excited.....Here is my interpretation of the Canvas - Baja Breeze, Groovy Guava, Close to Cocoa, Kraft, Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White.

Here is what I have done - I used the gorgeous *Eastern Blooms* SU Set and inked it up with Groovy Guava first. Then I took a *Q-Tip* and erased the Groovy Guava off the stem. Next I took a Close to Cocoa Marker and traced the stem. Then I used the fine tip from the Bravo Burgundy Marker and slightly tipped the outside of the flowers (I didn't want to blend the Groovy Guava and Bravo Burgundy to much). Plus I wanted to achieve the same kind of look as the flowers on the Canvas.

After stamping the image I used the new SU *Floral Frenzy* Brass Template and *Dry Embossed* around the flowers. Click on the picture to see the embossing :)
Anyway - after the embossing I inked the *Happy Birthday* sentiment from the *A Little Birthday Cheer* Set in Close to Cocoa and pierced right below it. Then I added the Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon and the small Silver Pearls.

Next I have adhered the Whisper White, Baja Breeze and Bravo Burgundy CS together and placed the image in the center. I used the *Faux Stitching* technique right around the raised image using the Bravo Burgundy Marker. Once I was finished I raised this panel again onto the Kraft CS base.

Hope you like it and we have inspired you to play along???

OCC, IC147, MTVD12,VVPP06, TECC35

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

I was up early again......and started browsing around to see what kind of card I could create today and boy, boy there are so many fabulous challenges out there and I've only a couple of hours to play today. So I decided I'm gonna pack a couple of these challenges into *ONE* card!!!

Here we go....this card qualifies for the IC147 - I have chosen this room for my inspiration. Next the Verve Visual MTVD12 - add *purple*. VVPP06 - get *krafty* - I used Kraft CS as my card base. The Sketch is TECC35 and to finish it all off I have added the sewing/stitching from today's OCC Challenge.
Here is a little bit more info....the DP is from Deja Views - *Fresh Print Plum* Collection. It matches the Orchid Opulence CS for my *purple* theme plus I added some Chocolate Chip CS as my BG layers. The fabulous cupcake is from Jullee Tilman's VV *Cupcake Affair*. I also added some pretty Silver Gemstones (Michaels).

Now I think I have completed everything I wanted to do for the week - LOL!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~
BEFORE I FORGET - Kelley Holland the owner of *Our Daily Bread Designs* has a wonderful *FREE SHIPPING* offer going on click here for all the details!!! Start your x-mas shopping early!!!

ssnotime#54 Maple Tree

Happy TGIF!!!

I have not played any *ssnotime* Challenges in a long time.....and finally I had some time to participate!!!

You can read about Sharon's Challenge#54 right here.

For my card I used the new *Innovative Stamp Creations* Set called *Maple Tree Paintings* - it is sooooooo beautiful and this Set comes with three different sized *trees*!!! The sentiment is also from a *ISC* Set called *Textured Backgrounds and Sentiments*.

For this Challenge I opted for the deeper, richer colors - Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I used Markers and Ink to achieve this look. Unfortunately I don't own any dew drops in this color so I've added some mini Gold Brads!!!

You all know my super talented and sweet friend Denise *peanutbee* - she has come up with this fab idea to stamp/decorate the inside of her cards.....so when I saw this Set I knew I wanted to use the smaller tree inside my card - I really like the way it looks!!! Thanks Denise for inspiring me today!!!

Have a great weekend!!! ~TFL~

Projects with my new Scor-it

Hello again!!!

Here are some projects I created with my new toy - the *Scor-it*.

Halloween is right around the corner and I was trying to come up with a fun little treat box.

I followed the 2-5-7-10 box instructions over on SCS and instead of using my Fiskar Cutter - I used my new *Scor-it*.

The fun Set I used is *Haunting Halloween*.
The colors on my box are Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Lovely Lilac and Pumpkin Pie.

The image was stamped onto Whisper White with Basic Black Ink and colored with a Blender Pen using - Basic Gray, Chocolate Chip, Lovely Lilac and Kiwi Kiss.

I finished the box off by punching it with the Scalloped Edge Puncher and layered another Pumpkin Pie CS below. I tied the whole thing together with the new DS Kiwi Kiss Ribbon.

*************
Next I created this card using the new *Beautiful Borders* Set.

I've inked the image in Tangerine Tango and layered it onto a Tangerine Tango CS. Right after I 've pierced the top and bottom of the TT CS - I started distressing the edges with the *Distressing Tool* from the *Cutter Kit*.

Then I added a layer of Wild Wasabi CS - which I scored with two rows on top and bottom. Next I distressed the edges again and added this whole panel to my Whisper White card base.

To dress the card up a bit I've added the fab Tangerine Tango SG Ribbon and three tiny Silver Brads. BTW - did I mention I love this new Set???
********************************************** My third and last project is another card.

I scored the outsides of my base starting at 1/8" and 2/8" - each side two rows - to create a *frame*.

Inside the frame I've added my main image from the new *Eastern Blooms* Set - using Riding Hood Red Ink and Old Olive Marker.

Just in case you've wondered how I've done this..... - here is a little trick I've been using.....after stamping the whole image with RR Ink I used a *Q-Tip* to get the *Red* off the stem and once I've done that I used the OO Marker to create the stem color....voila that's it!!!

Next I've layered the image onto a Old Olive and Riding Hood Red CS. Both panels were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

I dressed my card up with the Old Olive *Poly-Twill Ribbon* that was featured in the Occasions Brochure and in the center of the flowers I've added some tiny Silver Pearls (Michaels).

Hope you liked all of my projects??? ~TFL~

SC195 Here for You

Good Morning everyone!!!

Isn't today's Sketch Challenge beautiful??? Endless possibilities....

I decided to use my new *Here for You* Set from *There She Goes*. I love Jessica's new line of stamps!!!

For my card I have used Whisper White, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango CS. The image was inked in Basic Black, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi.

I've added the retired DS Wild Wasabi Ribbon and medium Silver Brads from Making Memories (Michaels).
I pierced right around the Wild Wasabi CS to add a little bit of interest.

The sentiment was inked in Basic Black plus I also pierced right below it. Voila!!!

Hope you like my take on the SC??? ~TFL~

CC185 Footprints and BIC24 Inspired by Nature

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I think Tuesday is my favorite kinda day....We have Beate's *Be Inspired* Challenge and the Color Combo Challenge - I don't think it can get any better??!!??

Today's CC#185 - is simply beautiful - Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss.

For this card I have used my gorgeous new soon to be released (October 1st!!!) *Our Daily Bread Designs* Set called *Footprints in the Sand* - did I mention I love, love, love Kelly Hollands Scripture Stamps and I'm so grateful that she has asked me to be a Guest Designer in October and November!!! (click on the picture to see a detailed view)

Here is the next *Be Inspired* Challenge #24 from Beate!!! This time Beate has chosen this *Glassware*. Simply beautiful and great colors!!!

I took these wonderful colors from the glasses as inspiration for my card . I used Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White for my card base.

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I was finally able to use my new *Inspired by Nature* Set - YEAHHHH!!! I stamped the *grass* image with Kiwi Kiss first and then I've inked my *flower* image with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip Ink. Next I trimmed the whole image down to my liking and layered it onto Tangerine Tango CS.

Next I added some Medium Copper Brads in each corner and then I raised this panel with Stamp Dimensionals before I layered it onto a Baja Breeze CS. Next I started piercing right around the sides and added Stampin Dimensionals again before I've layered it onto Chocolate Chip CS. The CC CS was adhered to the Whisper White card base. At last I added the Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

Luke woke me up early this morning.....YIKES!!! My boy is getting bigger and bigger...I'll have to comeback and show you some pictures again!!!

The good thing about getting up early is I have quiet time and I can browse through SCS - that's when the IC146 caught my eye.
I must admit I was nosy and looked through the whole collection and this *Parisian Dish Set* really inspired me. If you know me long enough you know I love, love *Black and White* cards and I couldn't resist to play along!!!

CC184, BIC23 Happiness Always and Thanks

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! I had to sneak in today's CC184 - Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke -with my BIC cards....hope you don't mind?!?

Wasn't sure how it would turn out....the Color Combo Emily has choosen are all darker colors, but with some White CS it turned out really nice.

All items are from SU except the Pewter Brads (Making Memories Value Pack).

Hope you like it???

Today Beate has chosen this beautiful *Living Room* - lots of inspiring images to choose from.
I was inspired by the *Love seat* . As soon as I saw the pattern I knew I would use the striped DP from the new *Urban Garden* Collection. The pillow in the Inspiration Photo matches the *Kiwi Kiss* color and I've added that to my card as well.

Actually I've made two cards today....I wasn't too crazy about the card I have made down below, but what the heck I thought I'd show it to you anyways....LOL!!!

Anyway - here is some info about my first card.....If you have seen the OCC Challenge this past Saturday - you already know that Amy Sheffer has choosen this fabulous Sketch and I had to use it again!!!

I've inked up my *Live Your Dream* Set. The flowers were inked in Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. The added flower is from the new SU *Flower* Design Brads and I've topped it with a light blue Gemstones from Hero Arts plus the three larger Gemstones on the left side.

This next card was stamped with the retired Sell-A-Bration *Happy Harmony* Set.

If tried to incorporate the colors from the DP onto the flowers. I've inked them in Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Going Gray and Kiwi Kiss.

To dress up the card - I've added the new Kiwi Kiss Ribbon and some Jumbo Pewter Eyelets plus Brads.

Hope we have inspired you to play along and please stop by all the super talented ladies from Beate's team!!!
Have a great day and ~TFL~!!!

Hello everyone!!!

Did someone say add *sparkles*??? YEAHHH!!!
What a fun TLC186 - you know that is right up my alley - he,he,he!!!

I've never ever put any kinda glue on my stamps...I thought it would ruin my precious stamps - but thanks to Lynn - I was able to try a whole new idea!!! Thank you Lynn for this fun technique!!!

Okay - so here is what I've done. I used Plum Pudding CS from PTI as my card base. Next I inked the Glue Pad (Tsukineko) all over the gorgeous *Batik Flower* BG Stamp from *Innovative Stamp Creations* and started adding the *Amethyst*
Glitter from Martha Stewart all over the stamped image. Then I've let it dry for a while......carefully I've added Stampin Dimensionals to raise the image onto a Whisper White CS.

Next I've added the Plum Pudding Satin Ribbon to the card. I also inked the sentiment from the retired *Warmest Regards* Set in Plum Pudding and added it to the Ribbon. Voila!!!

Hope you get a chance to try this fun, fun Challenge??? Have a great day and ~TFL~!!!

LSC185, CCEE Challenge and Sketch Challenge

Happy TGIF!!! Hope you had a great week???

I thought I'd add my LSC185 card to the other two cards down below....

Since we are only allowed to use Stamps, Ink and Paper - I chose to use this brand new image from *Innovative Stamp Creations* called *Walk in the Woods*. It reminded me of my childhood years in Germany roaming the gorgeous woods in our area!!!

I focused on the colors and stamped this image on a Glossy CS. Then starting sponging using thes colors -Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango and Soft Sky.

The sentiment is also from an ISC Set called *Textures and Backgrounds* and I've inked it in Chocolate Chip. ~TFL
***************************************************

Have you all seen the *Innovative Stamp Creations* Sketch Challenge #12??? I thought I'd play along........can't resist the fabulous goodies Betsy Griffin is giving away!!!Hope you'll find time to play too???

For my card I have used two different ISC Stamp Set's - Marvels of Nature II and About Me.

Of course I had to use Tangerine Tango again and this time I've added Chocolate Chip - don't you think they look great together???

The *medium* Brads are from Making Memories Value Pack (Michaels).

Check out the next card I made!!!
**********************************************************

My second card is for - the fabulous CCEE ladies who are challenging everyone to try the *Crayon Resist* technique and believe it or not I've been a stamper for over 3 yrs now and I have not tried it until last night.....I'm so flippin' happy, because I totally love it and the outcome is so pretty!!! Thank you CCEE ladies for inspiring me!!!

For this card I used the new *Upsy Daisy* Set. The colors are Whisper White, Glossy CS, Baja Breeze and Basic Black. The long panel was embossed with the *Dotted* CB folder.

BIC22 Just Because

Hello everyone!!!

Today's BIC22 is based on a tray from Martha Stewart filled with lots of glasses - soooo pretty!!!
The inspiration I took from this photo are the colors, the flowers/leaves. I thought it would match my new *Urban Garden* DP, my new Hostess Level I Set's *Organic Grace*. For the sentiment I have used another Hostess Level I Set *Best Yet*.

I inked the Silhouette Stamp with Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. Matted it on to a Chocolate Chip CS and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals. The Brown Satin Ribbon is from Walmart. I've completed it with some *Tiny* Copper Brads next to the sentiment.

Hope you'll find time to play along and please don't forget to swing by all the other DT Members.

Have a great day!!! ~TFL~

FS83 I am the Lord

Happy Monday!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend and got to play along with the *Featured Stamper* Challenge???

Well - I did, but by the time I was finished I didn't have enough daylight to take pictures.....so I waited until today.

Yesterday's lucky lady was *Denise aka Card Crazy*. She has a wonderful gallery and so much to choose from, but eventually I have cased this card.

I really liked the layout and tried to keep it that way. The only thing that I have changed is - I used DP, different colors, different Stamp Set called *Hope* from *Our Daily Bread Designs* . (Matter of fact the DP comes with the Stamp Set plus much more!!!)

Before I forget please stop my Kelley Holland's blog to sign up for some *BLOG CANDY* - YEAAHHH!!! You don't want to miss it!!!

OCC Amy you are still hot!!!

Hey you all!!! Sorry I've been so quiet - this crazy weather here in the South has really been kicking my butt!!!

Today I feel normal again and of course I've been trying to catch up on housework, entertaining my girls and the dog...etc.

Couldn't stay away from the computer and blogs either...and as you all know the *OCC Girls* always have something fun up their sleeves...and when I saw today's challenge I couldn't resist to play along!!!

Well - Amy is turning the big *4-0* this coming week - WAHHHOOO!!! - and she is hosting this months challenges!!!

I've been a huge fan of Amy's - she started blogging right before I did. Not only was she an awesome stamper back then...oh no she has blown me away with all of her stunning creations over the last couple of months!!!

Plus I'm so flippin' excited that she became a *Dirty Girl* and I get to spent some time with her on the *Our Daily Bread Designs* Team....even though it's only a short time.....make a long story short - SHE TOTALLY ROCKS!!!

Back to the card - in order to keep Amy smiling on her journey to the big *4-0* we had to make a humorous card....and I thought I'd use my super duper fun *Still Hot Granny* Set from *Little Paper Shop*. (Here is another card I made with this Set.)

I used Whisper White, So Saffron and Basic Black for this card and colored it with Prisma Markers (PM132 Jasmin, PM211 Jet Black) and the Colorless Blender Pen. I added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the image. The Black Satin Ribbon is from Walmart and the Black Medium Brads are from Making Memories.

I also scored my base card every 1/2 inches - just to add a bit more interest.....!!!

Hope you will find time to play along and celebrate Amy's birthday?!? Watch out I'm right behind her.... as I'm celebrating my way to the big *4-0* next month!!! Hope you will stop by and celebrate with me too....until then!!!

SC192 Sing to the Lord, TECC31 Bonus Card

Happy Day!!!

Here is my input for today's SC192.

Kelley Holland from *Our Daily Bread Designs* was so sweet to tie me over with this gorgeous Set *Sing to the Lord* until my Guest Designer appearance in October/November. Thank you Kelley!!!

The DP is from SU *Berry Bliss* and I used the new Pink Pirouette CS plus Whisper White.

The image was inked up with Basic Black first and then colored with Copic and Prisma Markers. I have added some Silver Pearls and a Pink Satin Ribbon. To give this card a more interesting look I have torn the right side and also did some piercing on the left hand side of the image .

Hope you like it???

*******************************************************

Here is my second card with the same Set.

I have used the same DP and CS. I've changed the Pearls to *pink* and added a pretty Ribbon Slide. The Ribbon itself is from SU *Taffeta*.

I created it for Taylor VanBrueggen's TECC31. My inspiration for this card actually came from these talented ladies - CCEE Stampers and also from the *Verse Visual August Parade* which you can view right here.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

BIC21 Bloom and CC182 Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I'm always looking forward to this day, because of the BIC and the CC.

Today's CC182 - is to create a *Monochromatic* card. I already had an image that I've colored with a light purple *Watercolor Pencil* and blended it with the Delta Blending and Shading Solution for the WT181.

The main image is from *Innovative Stamp Creations* Beautiful Flower Set and the only thing I have added was the Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Next I have stamped the sentiment from the *It's Your Birthday* Set with Orchid Opulence and added the beautiful purple 5/8" Ribbon from PTI. Voila!!!

*********************************************

Next I've created a card for the BIC#21.

Beate has chosen this beautiful Console Table from *Pottery Barn*.
I really like the colors and ran with that idea.
I've used Whisper White, So Saffron, Basic Black Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango.

I wish I would have had a *tulip* stamp....but I've settled for the *Blooming Beautiful* Set - I really love this Set.

For the layout I used Jen del Muro's Sketch.

My card measures 5" x 5". I started out with Whisper White and layered it according to the Sketch. The DP is from the Tangerine Tango Prints Pack. I matted the panels with Basic Black. The top panel was cut out with a circle Nestabilitie and embossed with the *Dotted* CB folder. Plus I have raised them with Stampin Dimensionals.

The main image was colored with some Prisma Markers and Copic Markers. Of course I had to add some mini Pearls to make the flowers look pretty....The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and I've pierced right below it. Hope you like it???
Please stop by the rest of Beate's Team and see every ones take on the BIC.....
Hope we have inspired you to play along?!? ~TFL~
