PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #341

Happy Day!

Today, I'm playing along with the PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #341 - PAINTED BRUSHSTROCK BACKGROUNDS ......which is hosted by the fabulous Dawn McVey.

I started out with brushstrocking my base with the Zig Kuretake Gansai Color Set.

Next I dried the cardbase and cut out the frame by using the PTI - Mix & Mat: Postal Die. The sunflowers and sentiment are from the beautiful PTI Anniversary Set called Painted Petals (no longer available). To finish it all off ...I added some Clear Sequins...voila!

THE CARD CONCEPT #99

Hello and happy Sunday!

After a turbulent weather day yesterday...including tornado warnings all around us I had to calm myself down with crafting. A few days ago I came across THE CARD CONCEPT #99 challenge...

Here is the INSPIRATION PHOTO.......

I knew I wanted to ink up my beautiful PTI Anniversary Set called Painted Petals (no longer available).  I used the matching dies to cut out the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from the PTI - Penned Elegance Set. For the background I opted for the PTI - Diamonds Stencil. The frame is from the PTI - Cover Plate: Pretty Frame Die. I finished it off with some Clear Sequins.

We had some house trouble this past week that kept me from stamping...but happy to say it's been taken care of!

PTI - SEPTEMBER 2018 BLOG HOP INSPIRATION

I'm participating in this month PTI - SEPTEMBER BLOG HOP INSPIRATION....

Here is the INSPIRATION PHOTO....

My inspiration came from the overall "Thanksgiving" theme, the pumpkin color and the leaves. 

I kept my card clean and simple using the PTI - Text & Texture: Leaves Stamp Set, along with sentiment from the PTI - Autumn Pumpkins Set. I also incorporated the simple leaf from the Leaf Prints Set and matching die. I simply finished it off by adding some Gold Pearls on both sides...voila!

PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #337

Hello and happy Monday!

Todau, I'm playing once again in the PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #337 - PACKAGING WITH PRINTED PAPER.....

Melissa Phillips always has the cutest gift ideas and wrapping. With "Halloween" right around the corner I figured I'd craft something along those lines.

I used the sweet "Frankenstein" face and "Hugs" tag from the Halloween Hugs Mini Kit. The treat bag itself is from the Favor it Box 2 Die using the Amethyst Allure Design Paper for my base.  I decorated the bag with the "Spider Web" Corner Adorner from the August Release...next I bedazzled it with lots of Black Glitter, plus I added some Ribbon and a tiny Clothes Pin.

PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #336 - FAUX GILDED

Happy Monday!

I was smitten by the fabulous "faux gilded"card Laurie Schmidlin has crafted for this weeks PTI - MAKE IT MONDAY #336 CHALLENGE....

I decided to use the PTI - AUTUMN PUMPKINS SET for my design. I really loved Laurie's tone on tone card and I also decided to use the Kraft CS. For the background I used the PTI - Text & Texture: Leaves Set. For adding a little bit more interest in the design I added some piercing, some splatters of black ink and some Pearls.

PTI - CREATE ALONG WITH US: SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE

Happy weekend everyone!

Hope you are have a great relaxing one? We are just chillin' and enjoying a few college football games on TV.

Since I'm trying to get my stamping groove back on, I decided to play along in the PTI - CREATE ALONG WITH US: SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE......

Once again, Papertrey Ink hit it out of the ballpark with their new holiday release. I love the new collection by Dawn McVey called "Sweet Stitching"....and of course all the fabulous ideas she crafted for this September Release and I chose this card to case....

I also tried to keep my card clean and simple. The PTI - Paper Clippings: Thank You Die was the perfect pick for my card, along with the PTI - Dot Spot Stamp Set....voila!

CASE THIS SKETCH #289

Happy Day!

Gosh, I can't believe I have not stamped in almost 4 months....yikes! I had a very busy, but yet relaxing summer. Our girls are growing up way tooooo fast and I enjoyed hanging out with them. We know our days are numbered with them showing interest wanting to be with us....so I had to soak in all the time they wanted to hang out :) !!! Hard to believe...our Sarah is a Junior in her Marketing Bachelor Degree, Rebecca is a Senior in High School and Miriam is a 8th Grader this year. WOW!

Anyways, I'm a bit rusty.... and needed some serious inspiration. After looking around, I found this fun sketch by CASE THIS SKETCH #289 .....

PAPERTREY INK - TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY

I took the chance to play along in the PTI - TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY  hosted by Michelle Leone.  Here is my new transformed card......

based on my older creation.....

What can I say...I love the PTI -Gran's Garden Set...my new go-to now!

I simply transformed my new card by using the True Black CS and opting for different colored flowers. I stamped a different sentiment which was heat embossed with White EP. I also framed the edges on the top cardstock with the Fresh Snow Ink and added some sparkles with the Zig Glitter Pen. Voila!

What a fun idea to spice up your word dies! I really enjoyed trying this technique!

For this card I used the PTI - Thick & Thin: Hello Die, the PTI - Watercolor Wonder Set and the smaller sentiment from the Heart-2-Heart #4 Mini Set.  I chose the colors PTI - Harvest Gold, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Hawaiian Shores along with True Black.

PAPERTREY - MAKE IT MONDAY #318

Happy Monday!

Of course, I had to give the  PTI - Make it Monday #318 Simple Stitched Stems a try.....

..... it was really fun to use another way of creating a focal image.

For this card I used the Bitty Button Stacks Dies for the flower petals, the leaves are from the Bunny Blessings Dies, and the sentiment is from the Ways to Say it: Thinking of You Mini Set. I also used the Mix & Mat Scalloped Dies, the DP is from the 2008 Bitty Dots Basic Collection.

I was in the mood for exploring some fun techniques and came across Betsy Veldman's Make It Monday #290: Combining Stenciling and Masking challenge...

It was definitely a bit tricky, but I really enjoyed making this card. If you have not tried this technique you should :) !!!

For this card, I used the PTI - Seasonal Borders: Spring Set and Dies. The framing was done with the PTI -Mix & Mat: Scallops Die. The sentiment is from the PTI - Think Big Favorites #3 Mini Set.
