Hi my sweet stampin' friends!!!

OMG - what a week....I'm in the middle of preparing for our *Garage Sale* on Saturday!!! I had no idea how much work that is!!! Miriam caught the stomach bug, yes, it's still making the rounds!!! So no sleep...I've been a walking *Zombie* for two days - LOL!!! Thank goodness she is doing much better today...hopefully we are done for good !!!

Well...since I don't have a card for you right now I thought I'd take the opportunity and share some awesome news with you all!!!

Some sad news and some fun news!!!

Hello my fellow stampin' friends!!!

What a roller coaster ride this week has been!!! It started out really fun and as of yesterday we were overshadowed with some very sad news.....my 52 yr old stepbrother passed away of pneumonia....he was admitted into a German hospital a few days ago and two days ago he was placed into a deep coma....which he never made it out off!!! SHOCKER!!! The doctors are not a 100% sure if pneumonia was the only reason he suffered from.....I'm not sure if his immediate family is calling for an autopsy?!?

Unfortunately we were not very close, but he always treated me very kindly when I came home to visit!!! My heart is very saddened by his unexpected loss!!!

Please keep his family in your prayers as they see thru this difficult time!!! Thank you!!!

On a happier note....I *socialized* this Wednesday as my friend Penny and I met up with some super sweet and fun stampin' friends from the Atlanta area!!!

After talking about meeting f-o-r-e-v-e-r...we finally decided to do so!!! We - Julie Warner, Robin Kirkpatrick, Sue Prather (who doesn't have a blog or SCS gallery yet for me to link you to, but who has blown us away with her fabulous cards!!!), Penny Allen, my fellow OCC girl Jenny Gropp - met at Olive Garden. After having a yummy luncheon with lots of laughter we decided to hop over to my favorite store *Archiver's* - wahoooo!!!

We did some serious shopping at Archiver's we caught...... Julie action - LOL - got ya GF!!!

I had such a wonderful time. There is nothing better to meet some friends that you have so much in common with and instantly feel connected to!!! I'm already looking forward to our next meeting which hopefully we'll be in February - wahooooo!!!

Thank you girls for making this a fun day for Penny and me!!!

TSG Birthday Bash!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend??? Ours was fun and busy!!! My two oldest daughters attended a GSU Volleyball Camp on Saturday. Right after the Camp our local *GSU* Volleyball Team had a fun Scrimmage game!!! We are so excited that the Volleyball season is starting up shortly - wahooo!!!

On Sunday we soaked up some of the beautiful sunshine we currently have....we hung out at the pool for over 3 hours...I love it, since it wears my girls out and they go to bed early without a fuss - LOL!!!

Enough about us.....this week it's all about There She Goes celebrating it's 1st Birthday!!!

TSG Sketch Challenge!!!

Here is my take on it....

I used the Flowers of Happiness Set for it. I thought I'd give the other new SU In-Colors a try since I've been stuck on the Razzleberry Lemonade DP - LOL!!! I started out by inking the leaves with Soft Suede. The flower base is Soft Suede as well and then I colored them with matching Copic and Prisma Markers.

Talking about TSG....I had the pleasure of meeting my blogging friend Nina Brackett this Monday!!! Some of you probably already know/met Nina......if not let me tell you she is sooooo super sweet and I'm so glad she took time out of her busy vacation time just to meet up with me!!! I also had the pleasure of meeting her husband, her three gorgeous daughters and their friend Irena as they joined us a little bit later on!!! ~Thank you Nina - I had so much fun meeting you and your family!!! Enjoy the rest of your time here in GA :) !!!~

Nina designed this super awesome TSG Set - Cupcake Mix & Match - that I absolutely love!!! That's not all - she just recently released this fabulous Elegant Post Set for Gina K. and guess what??? - Nina gave me this Set as a present when we met :)!!! I was soooo touched and honored that she gave it to me - I love it and will cherish it forever!!! I'll have a card for you this Friday - hope you'll be back to check it out!?!

Sorry I have been so quiet. I had a couple of doctor appointments....plus our little Miriam has caught a stomach bug and has passed it on to me!!!

So I decided to rest and take it easy....today I'm feeling much better and ready to conquer the world again.

Hey everyone!!!

I have stamped so much the last two weeks that my mojo needs a break today!!!

I'm still shaking this darn head cold....one day I feel better and than I feel like I've been run over by a truck - LOL!!! Anyway -I went to bed early since the girls and I have been busy trying to catch up cleaning, laundry etc.

Also I wanted to give you heads up....the wonderful Holly has challenged the *There She Goes* Design Team to their first *Blog Hop*!!! I'm so excited to see every ones card/project!!!

Hello everyone!!!

Did you all watch the Superbowl last night???

Oh - I must say my heart was really with the Cardinals.....just because they were the underdogs!!! Not that I know much about Football...well - a little bit - LOL!!! Did I ever mention that my hubby played at VMI??? He is a big fan of this sport!!!

So we went to our friends house for a party and we all chipped in $5 a person for the jackpot....All tickets were lottery drawn and mine was *Steelers 4-7 points*!!! What that meant was the Steelers would have to win the game by 4 to 7 point lead in order for me to have won the jackpot.....

If you followed the game you know it was an awesome game all the way to the end....I really thought the Cardinals have won with their last touchdown, but my hubby told me that there is toooooooo much time left on the clock and everything is still possible, well as you all know - the Steelers did a fabulous job turning the game around and are the triumphant Team!!!

The Steelers won 27:23 - 4 points difference - that means I won the jackpot all $75 - wahoooo!!! Well I thought I'd reinvest and spent it all on my Sale-A-Bration order - LOL!!!

I also wanted to tell you that our *Friends of Flourishes* posts have changed from Fridays to Tuesdays!!! So stay tuned for a fun Challenge tomorrow and thru out the next few weeks!!!

So much going on.....now I want to share my card I made for the SC209.....

Like I said our family is completely of schedule.....so I was up again late and just saw that Roxie posted the SC209. Since it was a pretty simple Sketch I thought I'll play along!!!

The colors I chose are from Tuesday's CC199 - So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy and Handsome Hunter.....pretty though colors if you ask me, but I had no choice - it's late and my gray cell's are running out of steam - LOL!!!

I used the new *Special Delivery* Set from *There She Goes*. It will be available on January 1st, 2009 - check out Jessica's blog for more *Sneak Peeks*!!!

I made the Sketch into a 5" x 5" card. I colored the image with some matching Prisma Markers as well as the Handsome Hunter Marker. To dress it all up I added some Silver Brads.

If you go down one more post you can see another card I made with this same darling Set!!!
