SSSC297, CAS175 APPLE PIE....

Hello and happy Hump Day!

It's been raining here pretty much all day....it's kinda depressing! I should be cleaning my house, but I decided I'd rather make a card ;).

The awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch #297 caught my eye and I decided to combine it with the fun CASology #175 - Pie theme!

What do you think...the pie looks good enough to eat...right?!? The image is a retired Flourishes Set and unfortunately I don't know the name of it anymore!

Wishing you a fabulous day and I hope to be back soon!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and Blog Candy Winner!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Time does fly by these days and I can't hardly believe that my girls are heading back to school in about 3 weeks.......wahoooooo!!! In the meantime we are enjoying some more quality family time!!! Today we are heading down to Savannah for some shopping. I'd rather be stampin' ...LOL...but I promised my girls a trip to the mall!!!

Hope you have time to stamp, because it's time for another fun round of the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC75!!! This week Betty is our challenge host and she is challenging us to use *FELT* !!! Felt is everywhere right now in the crafting world....you can create flowers, borders, accents, and so much more!!! We can't wait to see your ideas!!!

Here is my idea...........

I wasn't sure what route to go....so many options, but then I saw Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #77 . I knew immediately that's the layout I wanted to use. I still had some felt left over from Rebecca's birthday party....(you can see our fun creation right HERE) and created the Large Scallop Felt Borders.

The main image is from the gorgeous Cherry Blossom Set and the sentiment is from the Fanciful Flourishes Set. I inked them in Memento Black and colored the blossom with Copic Markers ~ R000, R00, Y15. I bedazzled the image with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.  My card measures 3 1/2" x 7".  I finished the card by adding some piercing on top, some Black Satin Ribbon, a Black Button, Black Scrapper's Floss and the Silver Pearls on the side.

Now it's time to reveal the winner of my *Blog Candy* giveaway from last week!!! Congrats to CAMMIE ~ Sweet Violets Paperie!!! Please e-mail me under silkeledlow@yahoo.com to claim your prize!!!

Please make sure to check out the fabulous deal on Flourishes Christmas Stamps!!! You can find all the info right HERE !!!

Don't forget to stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog to see their gorgeous felt creations!!!

Thank you for stopping by today!!! Enjoy your day!!! Hugs ~S~

Curtain Call #35, SSSC74 Happy Birthday

Howdy friend!!!

I'm trying to get my mojo back since I haven't stamped in over a week!!!

I thought I'd take it easy and tried my luck with the SSSC74 Sketch. I combined it with the Curtain Call Act #35 Color Combo ~ using Green Galore, Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise and Cameo Coral.

I used the beautiful SU Watercolor Trio Set. The Design Paper is from the SU Pink Flamingo Collection. The leaves and the flowers were randomly inked with the required colors. Next I bedazzled the image with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Here is a tip....if you love Cameo Coral and you are looking for some matching Ribbon... the Papertrey Ink color *Berry Sorbet* is a perfect match!!! Matter of fact I'm using the Berry Sorbet Topnotch Twill Ribbon on my card!!! At last I added the Filigree Brad and some Silver Pearls

Thank you for stopping by!!! Have a wonderful evening!!! ~S~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC71 and FS175!!!

Happy Tuesday friends!!!

We are heading out of town tomorrow and boy did I try to get some stampin' in before we leave!!!

My first card is for today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC71 Challenge!!! Our host is Cindy Haffner and she is challenging us to *EMBOSSING*. There are a lot of different types of embossing options to choose from, such as heat, stencil, plates, folders, scoring, textured die cuts, and more. In addition, there are many different techniques to combined with embossing. You can also use anything from vellum, clear cardstock, or other textures for your embossed projects. We would love to see what you all create!!!

This is the card I made last week already, when I confused the challenges...oops!!! I used the fab layout from last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch # 72 ( I flipped it)!!! The super gorgeous blossom and sentiment is from the Cherry Blossoms Set. I inked both in Versamark and heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder. I colored the blossom with various Copic MarkersR000, R00, Y15, G24 and Colorless Blender. The white panel was dry embossed with the Linen & Canvas Impression Template. The So Saffron DP was also dryembossed with the Elegant Bouquet Folder. I finished the card off with some Black/White Checker Ribbon and some Silver Pearls!!!

Please make sure to check out  Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog for their ideas!!!

**************************************

My second card is for this weeks CAS71 ~ Things That Fly and this weeks FS175 - LeAnne Pugliese. Congrats LeAnne...your gallery and blog are filled with so many gorgeous creations and I chose to case this CAS card. I switched the layout to this weeks Sweet Sweet Sunday Sketch #73.

I changed the image to the fabulous newly released Humming Along Set....isn't it fabulous!?! The colors were changed to Green and Red. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R27, R29, R000, YR91, Y17, B35, G00, G21, G24 and Colorless Blender. I added some scoring to the Green CS, a double tied Red/White Checker Ribbon and some Silver Pearl on the side.

Thank you so much for swinging by today!!! I'll see you again next week when it's my turn to host the FTTC!!!

I have my awesome new i-Pad with me...so I don't miss your fabbo creations!!! Have fun playing!!!

Hugs ~S~

C4C33, CCCC26 and SSSC65 Happy Birthday

Hello sweet stampin' friends!!!

I finally took my first Zumba class last night and I LOVED IT!!! I'm a little sore today, but I guess that's part of working your hips, legs and upper body...LOL!!! I was the OLDEST participant in the class....but the girls & guys (mainly 18 to 22 years olds) were so sweet and made me an awesome compliment...they thought I was in my early 30's  - wahoooo!!! When I told them my *real age* (41)  they couldn't believe it!!! They totally made my night...LOL!!!  I'm looking forward going again on Sunday.

Today I have two cards to share....my first one is for the Curtain Call Challenge #26 - using Basic Gray, Going Gray and Crushed Curry. I really love the chic look of these colors!!!  The layout is from this weeks C4C33 Sketch.

I can't remember what this new SU Set is called, my friend was sweet enough to let me ink it up!!!  I think I'll have to have it....just one more week and the new SU Mini comes out!!!

The second card is for this week Sweet Sunday Sketch #65. Once again I used the colors from the Curtain Call #26.

This is a new Two-Step SU Set called Awash with Flowers. Isn't it neat!?!

I scored the background first and then stamped the image. The DP on the top card and on this card is from the  SU Urban Oasis Collection. I topped this card off with a matching Basic Gray Corduroy Button and some White Scrap Floss that I colored with the Crushed Curry Marker.

I'm also submitting these card to this TSC Wednesday Challenge...the theme is to make a *birthday card*!!! Plus the SSCC#35 - adding flowers to your card!!!

Thank you for stopping by....I have to go and feed my little monsters now!!! Have a wonderful evening!!!

Hugs ~S~

SSSC62 Love You - Impression Obsession last day!!!!

Hello and happy TGIF!!!

WOW this week has flown by.....can't believe it's Friday already!!! I was invited to a Stampin' Up event last night and had the opportunity to meet Shelli Gardner.....yep that's right.....she is the sweetest person and I'm so thrilled I had a chance to meet her in person!!! My friend Penny and I had so much fun meeting new stampin' friends and I promise to share some photo's and projects soon (hopefully tomorrow)!!!

Anyway, today marks the last day for the Impression Obsession Week over at Stamper's Dream !!! It is also my last day with the fabulous ladies from the SD DT and I want to thank Michelle for the wonderful opportunity to be her Guest Designer!!! Thank you Michelle!!!

I inked up the sweet My Funky Valentine Set!!!  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #62 for my layout. The image was inked in Memento Black and I colored it with Copic Markers.  I embossed my background with the sweet Cuttlebug Heart Folder. My colors for this card are Red, Pink and Black. At last I added the sentiment, the Black Ribbon and the Red Gemstones.

Here is a *CAS* idea......

The flourished image was inked in Memento Black. The flower was punched out with the Scalloped Circle Punch and I used the DP from the Riding Hood Red Collection. I added a Large Silver Eyelet and a Clear Rhinestone Brad in the center. The sentiment was created with this Set. To finish the card off I added the Black/White Checker Ribbon.

Please make sure to stop by Laurie, Tosh and Michelle and see their ideas with the Impression Obsession Stamps. Just in case you missed the entire week of fabo Impression Obsession creations...stop by HERE to get caught up!!!

FS151 Casing Stef, CC251 Thank You

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

I have two cards to share with you today!!! My first card was for this weeks FS151 - SmilynStef. Not only do I enjoy Stef hosting the Inspiration Challenges each Saturday, but I really enjoy her clever and artistic stampin' style!!!

Not to long ago she made this beautiful card and I had to case it!!!

Here are the changes I made - different layout, I added a different sentiment, at last I added some butterflies and ribbon.

The *Agapanthus Cluster* image is an older Stampendous stamp. I think I bought it at Hobby Lobby!!! The sentiment is from the A Little Birthday Cheer Set from Stampin' Up.

Hope you like it???

******************************************

Next is my card for this weeks CC251 - using Barely Banana, Dusty Durango and Basic Gray.

WOW - what a color combo...I'm in love!!! Who would have known that this combo works sooooo great together...make sure to try it!!!

I finally had a chance to ink up some of my new Stampin' Up Stamps I've bought a few months ago :)!!! I know what a shame...my poor neglected stamps - LOL!!! Now that I have less commitments I hope I get to use some more of my SU stamps :) !!!

I used the beautiful *For All You Do* Set. The layout is from this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch - SSSC50.

I started out by scoring my card base. Next I added the punched out border and the Urban Oasis DP. I finished it up with the Dusty Durango Ribbon.

The flowers were inked in the CC colors and I cut them out leaving a small white card base. After cutting them out I raised them with Stampin' Dimensionals. At last I inked the sentiment and added another small flower.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Make sure to come back tomorrow for a new sweet Valentines card :) !!!

Have a great day!!!
