Curtain Call 70 Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far??? We are officially done with basketball...Sarah's team unfortunatly lost yesterdays game, but that's okay! We can finally enjoy our evenings and weekends again :) YEAH!!!

With this nice weather around here and the beautiful Curtain Call Color Combo Act #70 that Stacey has chosen this week, I couldn't resist making another *Spring* like card. Check out the colors for this week....

Here is my take on it.....

The leaves in the background are from the PTI Turning A Leaf Set and the butterflies are from the
Butterfly Dreams Set. I inked the butterflies in Memento Black and colored them with these Copic Markers ~ BG000, B0000, B02, B06. The Satin Ribbon is from Martha Stewart and I added a Silver Button as well as some matching Scrapper's Floss. The DP in the background is from the SU Tangerine Tango Pattern Print Collection. I also added some scoring on the side and some Silver Pearls.

Please make sure to check out the beautiful cards the rest of the Curtain Call Team created:

Curtain Call Act 68 Lifes Moments....

Happy Sunday you all!

We had a fun, fun day yesterday...the girls had basketball picture day, games right after. Mimi felt good enough to take her team picture, but I didn't let her play the game. In the later afternoon we went to see the GSU Womens basketball game. Becca and Sarah won their games and so did the GSU Team...yeah! Right after the game we went to our favorite pizza place with our friends and celebrated the happy and very successful day :) !!!

Somewhere in between coming and going I created this card for this weeks Curtain Call Act #68. Here are the gorgeous colors Stacey chose....

Here is my quick take on it......

I decided to use the beautiful SU Elements of Style Set. The rose image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R0000, R000, R00, RV00, R85, R23, YG11 and G24. I added some PTI Hibiscus Stitched Ribbon, a Silver Button and some matching Karen Foster Scrap Floss. At last I bedazzled my card with some Silver Pearls and Dazzling Diamond Glitter. Hope you like it :) ?!?!

Now it's time to check out the rest of the Curtain Call Team:

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments
                                     Jean Martin ~ Stampin' Scrapper

                                     Laurel Seabrook  ~ Seabrook Designs

Curtain Call 67 Live simply..love much

Happy Sunday everyone!

How is your weekend going so far? We had the most gorgeous day yesterday...the temperatures climbed all the way up to 68 Fahrenheit and we just had to be outside!!! Sarah's team won the basketball game...yeah! Mimi and I had a fun time at the birthday party :) and  I did have a chance to create a new pendant with a matching ring...yeah! I'll be able to show it to you next week, when I get it back!

Anyway, onto my card...this one is for this weeks Curtain Call Act 67. Check out the color combo this week.....

I must admit the Almost Amethyst totally threw me off...LOL!!! But after trying a few different ideas I came up with this card.......

I finally had a chance to ink up some of my PTI images again...they have been poorly neglected. I combined the Falling Leaves Set with the flowers from the Merry Little Christmas Set and the sentiment is from the Little Bitty Bird Set. It's a pretty straight forward CAS design....hope you like it :) ???

Oh, before I forget...I replaced the Cajun Craze with Really Rust. The matching Stitched Ribbon is also from PTI and it's from the Terracotta Tile Collection and so are the Buttons!

I've been asked several times on how I created my bows....I'm using a Bow Easy.....a must have!!! Next I was asked how I *curl* my Scrap Floss...I'm using my SU Piercing Tool and basically just twist the Floss tightly around the long front needle until I'm at the end of my Floss. I pull the curled Floss off very gently so it stays nice and neat...voila! Try it and let me know how you like it :) ?!? If you have any questions please e-mail me directly at silkeledlow@yahoo.com. I'm more than happy to answer your questions!

Anyway, now it's time to check out the rest of the Curtain Call Team ~

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments
                                     Jean Martin ~ Stampin' Scrapper

                                     Laurel Seabrook  ~ Seabrook Designs
                                     Makiko Jones ~ MakInk Studio
                                     Monika Davis ~ M.A.D. Stamper
Piali Biswas ~ Touch of Creation

Curtain Call 65 Happy Birthday......

Aloha friends!

The weather is finally starting to warm up around here! Which put's me in a much happier mood...yeah!!! We had a busy day today...girls had their basketball games this morning and after we came home we started some *spring cleaning*! Our Christmas tree is finally gone...LOL...wahooo! Now that I'm working full-time things don't get done as often anymore and since we have a long  holiday weekend here in the US I thought it be a good time to get crackin'...!!!

Stacey, also helped me getting into the spring mood with her fabulous Curtain Call Act 65 colors this week...check them out!!!

Totally fun bright colors right?!?  Here is my idea....

I used a fun SU Flower Set called *For All You Do*. I love this Set, because you can use so many different colors with it!!! The Design Paper in the background is from the SU Pacific Point Prints Collection. I embellished my card with a matching PTI Stitched Ribbon and some White Lace Ribbon on the bottom. I found these beautiful Silver Buttons at Michael's on the discount rack...definitely and an awesome fine! I added some matching Karen Foster Scrap Floss in the center and topped all the flower off with some Silver Pearls..voila!!!

Curtain Call 64 Faithfullness....

Happy Sunday!!!

Hope you all are having a great weekend so far??? I'm so thrilled to tell ya, that both of my daughter's basketball team won...yeah!!! Not, that they had to....I just want them to have fun, but it's like the icing on the cake right??? Mimi was super hilarious, she is the only girl in her *Wizard* team and she has no clue how to triple the ball...or really shoot a basket. She is in her own little *Mimi World* when it comes to playing basketball...LOL...but hopefully at the end of the season she'll have at least an idea what to do!?! Our Sarah on the other hand was amazing.....she played awesome and lead the team to their win! Can you tell I'm a proud mommy?!? All of the girls really played awesome and my Sarah is just proud to play with her friends!!!

Okay, after coming back from the games I had a chance to make this card for today's Curtain Call Act 64.  Stacey, choose once again some beautiful colors for today's challenge .....check them out!!!

Here is my take on it...........

To be honest with you I really didn't think that the Pacific Point would coordinate with the the new Marina Mist, but they really do look great together and I'm glad I had a chance to try this combo :) !!!

Here is how my card came together....My card base is White PTI CS. I added another White CS which I scored and pierced on the top. Next I added the Pacific Point DP and I decided to round of the corners. My sentiment is from the new ODBD Faith Set. I also made a card with this Set yesterday...just in case you missed it click HERE. I'm in L.O.V.E with these new Beaded Spellbinder Dies. Can you guess why I love them so much...LOL??? That's right, because I can bedazzle them with my Silver Pearl!!! You have to admit they do go good with the Die :) !!! At last I added some more Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist CS, a punched border using the SU Eyelet Border Punch. My card was embellished with some Marina Mist Satin Ribbon, Anna Griffin Silver Button, a Red Felt Prima Flower and some Always Artichoke Leaves. Hope you like it?

Now it's time to check out all the beautiful ideas my teammates have created:

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments
                                     Jean Martin ~ Stampin' Scrapper
Julie Lacey ~ Stamps & Taxes

Curtain Call Act 63 Bless this Nest

Happy New Year again!!!

Hope you all had a good start today!!! Did you make any fun New Years Resolutions??? My Resolution is to take good care of myself, since I don't get any younger *wink* and trying new things!!! Pushing myself out of my comfort zone is another thing I'm trying this year, since I'm so stuck in my ways!!!  Not sure if that is a good thing or not...LOL!?!

Today, we are showing you the new Curtain Call Act 63 colors. I hope you like them as much as I do and play along with us!!!

Here is my playful idea.....!!! My inspiration came from the Moxie Fab World Trigger Tuesday Challenge ~ Strickly Stripes.

I used the super cute PTI Set called Bird Watching. Definitely one of my favorite PTI Stamps :) !!! The image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colors with Copic Markers. I also used a Blender Pen for the *grass* using the Always Artichoke Ink with it. I also had to opted for SU Dusty Durango instead of the SU Cajun Gaze. Kinda the same anyway :) !!! So the DP in the background is from the SU Dusty Durango Prints Collection and the matching Satin Ribbon is from the PTI Terracotta Tile Collection. The clouds were done with the DP from the SU Bashful Blue Prints Collection and the PTI Cloud 1 & 2 Dies. I also added a border of the PTI Medium Scalloped Border and topped it off with some Silver Pearls.

Now it's time to check out the rest of the Curtain Call Team:

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments (on vacation this week)

I was trying to clean up my super messy stamp area the other day and I came across this awesome SU Set called *Friends 24-7*. I thought it was perfect for today's color combo plus it hasn't seen much ink lately!

I promise my next post will NOT have this image again!!!

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ YG11, YG95, R29, C1, E27 and Colorless Blender. The DP is from the SU Ski Slope Collection. I finished the card off with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter, some yummy Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, matching Button and some Gold Beaded Cord.

After I printed the digi image I colored it with some Copic Markers ~ R14, R29, R46, E27, E47, B29, C1, C2 and Colorless Blender. Of course I had to bedazzle the snowman with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter :) !!! The DP is again from the SU Ski Slope Collection.
