BIRTHDAY SURPRISE......

Happy weekend!!!

Today we are celebrating a very special lady named Theresa Winslow!

A little birdie told us, that it is a BIG *50* BIRTHDAY for her and I couldn't resist participating in a special BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP....you also have the chance towin some goodies if you hop along!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THERESA!!! I hope you have a very special and fun filled day! 

The little birdie also told us that her favorite colors are *Pink & Green*......

I used the beautiful Flourishes Set called Sweet Nature. The rose image was inked with the Memento Angel Pink Pad and the sentiment was inked on top with the Memento Tuxedo Black.  My card started out with the Flourishes Classic White CS base. Next I added the Design Paper from the BasicGrey Olivia Collection, a Doily, and another piece of White CS, some Satin Baby Pink Ribbon, some Metallic Silver String, some Kaiser Pearls and the Wild Rose.

My layout for the card was inspired by this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #261. I'm also entering this card in this weeks Flourishes *THINK PINK* Challenge and the Moxie Fab World ~ CWMD Make a  Birthday Day Card.

Flourishes THINK PINK....

Happy TGIF!

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely ready for the weekend!!!

If you have time to relax and you are looking for a challenge then how about joining us for a fun challenge......as you know, October is a month where moms, sisters, friends, aunts and daughters unite to tell our "sisters" to remember to raise breast cancer awareness and take care of their personal health. Well, it's also a time when you can send a card to someone affected by breast cancer. It's a time when your creations can actually help save lives! 

Today, we're unveiling a handful of challenges you can take part in to help others THINK PINK!!! And, that's why we've decided to make this challenge the focus of our Release Week Challenge! Simply play along in the........

Here is my take on it.....

I decided to pull out the beautiful Background Set called Antique Lace and the flower image on the side is from the Flowers and Frames Set! The card base was created with the Flourishes Classic White CS and with the Spellbinder Label One Dies. The background image was inked in Memento Rose Bud.  The flower image was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ R00, R02, R09, G82, G94 and Y08. Next I added the White Lace Trim, some Satin Baby Pink Ribbon and some Kaiser Pearls. At last I added some ink distressing with the Ranger Antique Linen Distress Pad.

HOW TO PLAY: Make a card with a pink flair and you'll be in the running. After you make your creation, simply link it up on this post using our Inlinkz widget. Play as many times as you like. JOIN SCS! This month, Flourishes is joining dozens of stamp manufacturers and card making retailers along with Splitcoaststampers for the Hope You Can Cling to month for breast cancer awareness. Each day this month, there are challenges with some fabulous prizes on the line -- including a $100 gift certificate courtesy of Flourishes! But, the most important piece of this month is the donation of cards to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. 

These cards can be sent with encouraging words or can be sent blank, so that families have a way to write notes to their loved ones in care. So you see, there are many ways to touch lives this month and you can enter all of them by just making a card or two! So, get those fingers inky and pink!
