Flourishes October Release DAY 1.....

Happy Monday and welcome to Day 1 of our Flourishes October Release!

As always we have a fun filled week ahead of us and we hope you will follow along as we show you what we have in store for you!?!?

Today we are introducing a really fun Winter Set called SNOW DAY.....

A whimsical way to enjoy the season in your cards and creations - ski, skate or take an old fashioned sled for a spin - you choose! This set, illustrated by Marcella Hawley even offers five sentiments to match and a Nordic pattern to use for backgrounds, borders or accents!

Here is my take on it................

My card started out with the Flourishes Classic White CS. Next I stamped the cute skate image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with these Copic Markers ~ R000, R00, R02, C1 and C5. The image was then cut and placed on the Spellbinder Label Eight Die. The next layer was created with the Color Made Easy - Candy Pink CS. The card was then embellished with the White Sheer Ruffled Edge Ribbon, the Gray Plaid Ribbon, some Silver Metallic String & Button, along with some Hot Pink Kaiser Rhinestones. At the end I stamped the sentiment for the new set and colored the heart...voila!

Today we are also showing you the new picked October 123 Kits called Viola that will be available for you to buy with this new release....it's full of beautiful lavender, teal and blue hues that are perfect for these icy months ahead.....

I am so excited today to be posting another special Birthday Wish to Our Daily Bread Designs owner, Kelley Holland!  This is a very special birthday for Kelley, as it's the BIG 50!!!

Here is my card for the birthday girl.....

I pulled out the beautiful ODBD Lilac Set and for the inside I used the beautiful ODBD Happy Birthday Set. The images were inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and the Lilac image was colored with these Copic Markers ~ BV000, BV00, BV15, BV17, C1 and C5. Next I embellished the card with the PTI Plum Pudding CS, DP, Ribbon and Button. At last I added the Halfback Pearls. 

My color inspiration for this card came from this weeks *The Play Date Cafe* ~ PDCC152 and the layout if from the Deconstructed Sketch #72 and the Moxie Fab World ~ Make a Birthday card.
