Dirty Girl Challenge - Day 6

Happy Day - and what a good one it is !!!

I won last weeks OCC Challenge - WAAHHHOOO!!!
You need to come and check all these talented ladies out right here.
Don't you just love them???

With this weeks *Christmas in July* theme I can actually check off two Challenges in one - YEAHHH!!!

Sharon Johnson is also hosting the same idea for her ssnotime #45.....you can see the info right here.

When I was digging for my x-mas Stamps I came across this cute little Stamp from *Hero Arts*. This Stamp is from my *first* stamping experience - I think I bought it like 3 yrs ago at *Archiver's*....but I'm still loving it!!!

The card measures 4 1/2 " x 4 1/2". I have stamped the *Snowman* with Basic Black and colored it with Real Red, Green Galore, Garden Green. For the *hat* I have used a Dark Brown Copic Marker #E47 and a Colorless Blender to soften the image. The outlining was also done with a CM #N1.

Next I have layered the fun *Snowman* onto Real Red CS and pierced around it. This image was raised with Stampin Dimensionals onto the next two layers. Before I added the whole panel I have added the 5/8" Real Red Ribbon from SU. Then I have stamped the sentiment from the *Snowfall* Set. At last I have added two *medium* Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

This card was made for Holly's and Taylor's *Dirty Girl* Challenge over on SCS.

The layout came from Holly and the *Cupcake* idea from Taylor......love both of them - awesome stampers!!!

I have used my favorite new *In Color* Tangerine Tango and a matching DP from *Bo-Bonny* Shabby Princess Collection. Doesn't it look great together??? It matches the *Kiwi Kiss* too.....

The Cupcake Stamp is from Hero Arts and I have colored the bottom part with Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss. The top part was filled with the 3-D *Liquid Applique* from Marvy Uchida. I love this stuff for *Cupcakes*!!!

Before I've started to dry it with the *Heating Tool* I have bedazzled the 3-D Applique with Dazzling Diamond Glitter. Then I have punched out a flower and added a Silver Brad in the center - it was attached with a Glue Dot.

The Ribbon is from Martha Stewart and I have added three *medium* Silver Brads on the right hand side.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

I use (and LOVE) Google's Reader and generally flip thru blogs quick-like and don't post comments often ... but had to drop by to add that these are amazing cards, Silke! Gotta fly so I have time to play while we have good lighting still!
later, alligator!

Oops! In my cupcake excitement, I didn't realize Mr. Snowman was part of the same post. Snowmen are my favorite, so I {heart} this card!

I love your layering for the Christams in July card. It's so elegant in red and white, too.

Congrats on winning... the card is awesome. I espcially like how you used liquid applique to make the frosting on the cupcake look so realistic.

I love what you did with the cupcake for the icing. I had thought of the liquid applique working well on them, but I don't have any. I definitely need to get some for my Hero Arts cupcake making. Very nicely done!

Hmmm . . . I'm thinking I can use the little snowmen image from the Window Dressing set (yes, you have it, too) to try your first card . . . maybe on a bit smaller scale. Love the layout.

BTW . . . I'm nutso about the way you snip the ends of your ribbon. Another Silke idea to CASE.
