CC216, CCEEC Happy Birthday and SC226, CC216 and 2RedBananas Upsy Daisy

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Here are two cards I made for some of the SCS Challenges.

This first card is for the CC216 - using Basic Black, Real Red and Old Olive!!! The Sketch is from the fabulous CCEE ladies - you can see it right here!!!

I used the beautiful Thoughts & Prayers Set. I know it's more a Sympathy Set, but I think it's way too pretty just to use it for a sad occasion, so I turned it into a *Happy Birthday* card!!! The sentiment is from the A Little Birthday Cheer Set.

I colored straight onto my flower image using my SU Markers Real Red and Old Olive. I dressed the flowers up with some small Silver Pearls (avail. Michael's). The Real Red panels were embossed with the CB folder - D'vine Swirl. At last I added the 5/8" Old Olive Ribbon and the larger Silver Pearls on the side.

*********************************************************

I combined this card for the CC216, SC226 and the 2RedBananas Challenge - wearing Stripes.

The DP I used for this occasion is from the Summer Picnic Collection. As you can tell I use the Sketch vertical to show off the striped DP!!! BTW - check out the awesome prize you can win for playing along in the 2RedBananas Challenge!!!

The Set is Upsy Daisy and I inked it all in Basic Black. The sentiment is from the new Great Friend Set that is featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog (Page 5).

To finish it all off I added some Silver Brads. Voila!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!! Make sure to check Jessica's blog in the morning for some awesome NEW REVEALING DETAILS ABOUT TONIGHT'S RELEASE PARTY!!! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT :) !!! See you tonight!!!

***************************************************

The following cards are for the There She Goes Sneak Peek!!! Today we are featuring an Alphabet Set called A to Z and 1-2-3. I made two different Samples, because I was in the groove...LOL!!!

My middle daughter Rebecca's birthday is coming up the end of May and I figured I'd go ahead and work on some Invitations.

For these cards I used the DP from the Petals & Paisley Collection.

I personalized each card with the girls name that is invited. Jessica will be carrying a new acrylic block which I used to add the letters - make sure to check the store for it!!!

The little flower gems are from Michael's. I think it's a cute little girly girl touch :) To finish the card off I added the Pretty in Pink 5/8" Ribbon.

Hope you like them???

*****************************************************

With the second Set I went a bit more formal. I thought I'd make myself some monogrammed cards to have handy if I need to mail a card off really quick.

I used my favorite Color Combo one these :) - Black, Red and White. The DP is from Moxxie.

The circle was inked in Basic Black and the *S* was inked in Real Red.

Next I punched the image out with the 1" Circle Punch. The following Real Red and White CS were punched out with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I raised all of them onto the Scalloped Circle Punch (all Punches are from Stampin Up).

To finish it off I added a Black Satin Ribbon (Walmart).

Do you want a chance to win this Set??? All you have to do is stop by all the Trendsetter's Blog and comment on their A to Z and 1-2-3 cards and then go back to Jessica's blog to enter your name to Mr. Linky.

I really like the two-step stamp images, because I can accomplish so may different looks with them. Make sure to stop by the LSP gallery for more ideas!!!

I randomly inked the flowers and added the leaves on each side. Next I decorated them with my favorite Silver Pearls (Michael's).

SC225, LSC217 Tea for Two

Happy TGIF everyone!!!

We have been pretty busy here at the Ledlow household....Our girls have the CRCT Testing this week and we've been making sure they sail right thru it!!! I must say I'm very proud of my two older daughter's for being awesome students thru out the year!!!

Since the girls have to go to bed earlier this week I had some extra stamping time - wahooo :)!!!

I thought the LSC217 was fun and I haven't had many opportunities lately to play along, so tonight is the night!!! The theme is *to create a card after a room in your house* - well with three girls I had to go with the girls room. We have lots of pink and softer color to match.

For my card I used the SC225 Sketch from this week. The fabulous Tea for Two Set is from There She Goes. This Set always reminds me of the fun little *Tea Parties* we used to play.... :) great memories!!!

The DP is a mix between the SAB Delicate Dots Collection and the Occasions Mini Walk in the Park Collection. I limited my embellishments to the buttons and the SAB Ribbon Bundle - So Saffron. The punched border is a MS Punch. The teapot was colored with a Copic Marker - G94.

I couldn't help myself and I had to go ahead and use my new Bigz XL - Bag with Scallops Die!!! I used some Pretty in Pink Textured CS for it. I filled it with some tea bags - isn't it a cute little giveaway ???

Hope you like it?!? ~TFL~

SC225 Special Blessing, CC215 Essence of Love

Happy Wednesday!!!

This is my submission for today's SC225. What a fab Sketch!!! I know I'll be making another card with it today :)

For this card I used the Special Blessing Set. The DP is from the Parisian Breeze Collection. I punched out the little flower with the Trio Flower Punch.

I stamped the cross twice creating a 3D look. You can see this better on the second photo!!!

To finish it off I added the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon . Of course I had to add one of my sweet little Silver Pearls :)!!!

***************************

Here is my card I made for the CC215 yesterday. The colors are Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette (Pretty in Pink) and Rose Red.

I used one of my all time favorite SU Set's - Essence of Love.

I colored straight onto the stamp using Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Markers. Next I trimmed it and pierced around the image. Then I raised it up with Stampin Dimensionals before I added it onto Pink Pirouette CS.

The sentiment was inked with Basic Gray and I also pierced below it. At last I added the Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, the Dazzling Diamond Glitter and the Martha Stewart butterflies with small little Silver Pearls attached.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday

Hey guys - guess what??? It's Tuesday again!!!

Time to play the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!!

Today Kimberly Crawford has challenged us to use some *Clear Cardstock* (Acetate) on our card/project!!! To see all the Samples and to find out how you can play along swing by the Flourishes Blog!!!

For my card today I used the Crystal Clear Cardstock from Flourishes. I really like it since it is much thicker than the M3 Acetate I used before - perfect for card making!!!

My flower image is from the Flourishes Sweet Peas Set. I colored it with Copic Markers - Pale Lilac V12 and Nile Green G07. Next I added some Sugar Plum Shimmerz. Please click on the second photo to see a close up!!!

After letting the Shimmerz dry for a minute I started tearing around the image. Next I layered it onto some White Mulberry Paper and frizzed out the edges . I wanted to add a bit more sparkle so I used a very thin painting brush and added some Candle Light Shimmerz to the edges of the Mulberry Paper. I adhered the image with some Snail Adhesive.

You will be able to see the Snail Adhesive on the inside - to cover it up I added some White and Pale Plum Cardstock. Next I dressed the card up with some large Silver Pearls (Michael's), Lavender Moon Satin Ribbon (PTI) and the Styled Silver Label Holder.

The sentiment is from the Flourishes - Many Sentiments Set and it was inked in Basic Black.

Of course I had to make a little treat box with it :). I used the new SU Matchbox Bigz XL Die from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

For the top part I used the Clear CS and for the bottom I used the Pale Plum. I filled it with four Hershey Nuggets - yummy!!! I dressed the box up with the same Ribbon and added some small Silver Pearls on each side!!! Voila!!!

Now go and dig out some of your Clear CS or Acetate and play along!!! Can't wait to see what you will create !!! Please use the keyword *FTTC12*!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!!

FS115, TECC64 Nature Silhouette II

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

The FS115 was posted early, so I had to play :)!!!

Jamie - aka *jaymerz* has a cute gallery!!! I chose to case this card, because I really like the colors!!!

I tweaked the layout a bit and used the TECC64 Sketch as well. I still had some of my awesome recycled cardboard packaging leftover and added it to my card. I still had my Innovative Stamp Creations - Nature Silhouette II Set out and figured I'll show you another way to use this gorgeous Set - that is up for grabs if you want to play THIS Challenge!!!

The changes I made is - used no DP, different Stamp Set, layout and colors - Perfect Plum and Kiwi Kiss. I also added some Candle Light Shimmerz, SU Latte Button with a Purple Rhinestone and Ribbon.

Have a great Sunday!!! Hope you'll play along?!? ~TFL~

OCC Challenge - Get ready to recycle!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

In honor of *EARTH DAY* this coming week - I thought it would be a great idea for today's OCC Challenge to used some *recyclable* items on your card/project!!!

I want you to look around your household and find some items can be reused or transformed!!! Think newspaper, packaging, soda cans, containers, maybe some items that have not seen the daylight in many years - LOL -I hope you get the idea??? Make sure to stop by the OCC Blog to see all the Samples and how to play along!!!

Before I get started on my card I want to introduce you to my Guest Betsy Griffin. Betsy is the owner of Innovative Stamp Creations. Betsy also features some Challenges on her company blog - check it out right HERE. Wait that's not all - Betsy generously donated this gorgeous brand spankin' new Released - Nature Silhouette Set II for playing along - plus
Betsy just announced that she will give you a 10 % DISCOUNT on your order!!! Make sure you swing by her blog to find out the code you have to enter!!!!

If you been following my blog you should be familiar with the cards I made using Innovative Stamp Creations Stamps...if not HERE are all the cards I made with her fab Stamp Sets!!!

For my card today I used the new ISC Set - Birch Tree Painting. My recycled item is a *packaging cardboard*. I kept it because I really liked the texture plus it came in handy for my card :).

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I started out by coloring straight onto the tree image using my Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Markers.

Then I stamped the butterflies in Tangerine Tango raising them up. To make them look a bit more interesting I added some Candle Light Shimmerz - love that stuff!!!

I decided to distress the edges and sponge them with some Chocolate Chip Ink. I also added some more Shimmerz to the distressed edges.

The sentiment is actually from a different ISC Set - Passion Flower. I distressed, sponged and added Shimmerz to the edges as well. Right below the sentiment I added some Silver Pearls (Michael's).

Before I pulled it all together I added the Net-Ribbon from Stamper's Dream and the new SU Basic Jumbo Grommets.

Hope you'll find some recyclable stuff and play along??? Make sure to stop by all the other girls too - Cindy, Jennifer, Lori, Kim, Vicki, Frances, Robin, Loretta and Jenny.

**********************************************

This card was inspired by the Dirty Dozen *Go Green* - CT0409 theme, the IC176 - Skeem, this OCC Challenge and Sharon Johnson's ssnotime 82.

I have chosen this awesome looking pillar because of the bird theme and the earthy color tone. Of course it all about the *recycled* items on my card - I added the same packaging cardboard item as on my first card (basically the leftovers) and some leftover Ribbon. The Stamp Set is from Flourishes - Home Tweet Home. The layout is from the TECC63 Sketch.

I inked the branch image with Memento Rich Cocoa first and colored it with the Copic Markers - E47, G94. The CS I used is - Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi and White (PTI).

Next I stamped the birdhouse on a separate piece of CS and cut it out. I attached some leftover Light Brown Scrap Floss (Karen Foster) to make it look like it's hanging from the branch - isn't it too cute???
This is where Sharon Johnson's ssnotime82 - *Hang it Up* comes into play. I've been wanting to hang something all week long - LOL!!! Sounds funny - huh???

I stamped the bird once on the image itself and then raised it and colored it with these Copic Markers - E00, Ro8. Next I stamped the sentiment on the left side.

The button is from a button collection purchased at Hobby Lobby.

*********************

I had some time Friday morning and I thought I'd show you a card I made with the Innovative Stamp Creations Set - Nature Silhouette II that you can win by participating in the OCC Challenge this week.

Since I was in a happy mood.... I uses some colors that I usually don't combine often - Taken with Teal and Passion Pink.

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". All the butterflies were inked twice and than raised up. I dressed the butterflies up with my fav Silver Pearls (Michael's).

I pierced around the Taken with Teal CS and raised both panels up. The matching Ribbon is from Flourishes.

Can't wait to see the card you'll create!!! ~TFL~

SC224 Swing Set and CC214, 2RedBananas Sketch times two!!!

Hello everyone!!!

Yesterday was a rainy day here in the South...so what is a girl suppose to do when she doesn't feel like cleaning her house - yep - I stamped :)!!!

I made this card for the SC224 Sketch.

I used the new Flourishes Set - Swing Set. I kept it very plain according to the layout...and only added a strip of Chocolate Chip & Old Olive CS.

The image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers. Next I added some piercing with my Ornare template on the bottom of my main image. Plus some dry embossing on top of it. At last I added the yummy Old Olive Satin Ribbon.

If you like pericing on you cards come and play this fun Challenge with us!!!

******************************************

I really liked the colors from the CC214 - Bordering Blue, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette (Pretty in Pink) and Chocolate Chip optional. I also liked the awesome Sketch from 2RedBananas - so I combined the two together and out came two cards......

The first one was stamped with the Life Set from Papertrey Ink.

The BG DP is from the So Saffron Patterns Designer Series.

I inked the flowers randomly with the required colors - creating a little flower garden - LOL!!! Next I layered it onto Chocolate Chip CS and then bedazzled it with some DD Glitter. To finish it up I added the button and the Striped Pink Pirouette Ribbon.

**********************************

Next is a card with the cute little *Tweeterpated* Set from There She Goes.

The fun part is if you like this Set and would like to win it, then all you have to do is participate in this OCC Challenge.

On my last trip to Michael's I picked up the 6" x 6" Making Memories DP - Chloe's Closet. Oh it's so super cute :) You can also purchase the matching flowers, buttons and little pins....look for it if you are at Michael's!!!

Anyway - that's the DP I used on this card. My card base is Very Vanilla CS. The Chicky was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with a Prisma Marker - Jasmine. I paper pieced the little eggshell with the same DP, raised it up and then bedazzled it with DD Glitter.
I added the sweet little Pretty in Pink butterfly on the side - also bedazzled it. Next I layered the image onto Chocolate Chip CS and started piercing a frame. At last I added the sentiment with a 1/2" Chocolate Chip Library Clip. The Blue Satin Ribbon is from Michael's as well.

If you like piercing make sure to check out this Challenge!!!
So what do you think of this Sketch... - isn't it awesome??? So versatile!!! Well, I hope you get to play some of the Challenges??? ~TFL~

Next I inked the newly released Flourishes Set - Sweet Violets with Memento Black and colored it with my Copic Markers - V15, V17, G28, G94. I actually inked the image twice, cutting out different leaves and flower heads and then I raised them up - you can see it better on the second photo. I made this card for the FS114 - Inge. Her gallery is filled with fun and beautiful cards. I chose to case this one.

I changed the layout to the TECC62 (very similar layouts). I used a different Set - Soft Summer from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I also changed the colors - Textured Apricot Appeal, White and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit - Special Delivery Girl.

I added some piercing around the card. The image itself was inked in Chocolate Chip. The inside of the flower was colored with Groovy Guava using a Blender Pen. I also gave it some sparkle with the Candle Light Shimmerz. At last I added the Kaiser Chocolate Pearls I bought at Stamper's Dream.

OCC Sketch Challenge, IC175 Butterfly Happiness....

Happy Saturday!!!

For today's OCC Challenge I'm challenging you with a Sketch!!! I hope you like it and decide to play along :)!?!

Before I get started with my card I would like to introduce you to my super sweet and talented Guest - Jessica Knutsen . Jessica is the owner of *There She Goes*. Make sure you swing by Jessica's blog and subscribe - you don't want to miss all the awesome releases and giveaways!!! Guess what - Jessica generously donated one of her newly released Set's for this Challenge!!! For all the Samples, the prize and how to play along visit the OCC Blog.

Here is my take on the Sketch.
I used the *Life* Set from Papertrey Ink.

For the CS colors I used - Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon and White - also from PTI. The ink is Plum Pudding, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss.

I randomly inked the flowers and at the end I bedazzled them with Dazzling Diamond Glitter. The button is from Hobby Lobby tied together with some purple Karen Foster Scrap Floss.

He,he,he - did you notice??? No Silver Pearls on this card :)

Here is a close up - I just love how these silhouettes flowers look with some glitter one it. Click on the photo!!!

***************************

Did you all see the fabulous IC175 - Grandin Road??? OMG -what a fab place to shop and to be inspired!!!

Of course I had to make another card with this Sketch and I used one of Jessica's beautiful Stamp Set's called *Butterfly Happiness*. I drew my inspiration from this awesome Outdoor Furniture Set!!! I absolutely love the colors!!! What goes best with the outdoor theme some gorgeous butterflies....LOL!!!

For my card I used Baja Breeze, White and So Saffron CS with this card. The DP is from the Baja Breeze Patterns Design Collection.

The DP was embossed with the CB Leafy Branch folder. The butterflies are from the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die - I used the smallest one. I dressed them up with my fav Silver Pearls and some piercing.

Next, I inked the sentiment in Baja Breeze and layered onto the same CS color. I raised this panel up with some Stampin Dimensionals and added the butterflies on top and bottom.

I added a little treat box on the side using the Bigz XL Box#2 die and the So Saffron Ribbon from the SAB Ribbon Bundle. I thought I'd add another butterfly to the box and this time I used it with the Baja Breeze DP.

*******************************************

Here is another approach with this Sketch - I challenge my oldest daughter Sarah to make a card with me. She said to me - *Only if she could decided on the Stamp Set and the colors*!!! I told her I'm all game :) !!!

The Set she picked is called *Totally Cool* (it's a retired SU Set). I thought is was an awesome choice!!!

Of course you all have to visit Sarah's Blog - Zaza's Creations - for her take on the card.

The DP is from the Bali Breeze Collection. I matched it up with - Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss and White CS.

The image itself was inked in Memento Black and colored with several different Copic and Prisma Markers. To spruce the card up a bit I added some Candle Light Shimmerz on the purse, earrings and buckle. Next I added the button with the awesome hand crochet flower from my German blogger buddy Sabrina - I love those flowers GF!!! (Click on the smaller photo for a close up!!!)

The DP and colors my sweet daughter picked are awesome - they are so fun and bright!!! I'm so happy and proud that she played this Challenge with me :)!!! Her card rocks too :)!!!

Sorry - this was a long post, but I hope I /we have inspired you to play along?!?

Have a wonderful Easter!!! ~TFL~
