Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and MTSC43 Sketch

Happy Tuesday!!!

So glad you stopped by today...I have so much to tell you!!!

My birthday is in one week - wahoooo!!! And I'm cooking up some prizes for you!!! Hint, hint.....it will include your choice of one brand spankin' new Flourishes Set!!!

Speaking of Flourishes.....we are kicking off the new October Release today and the Friends of Flourishes are helping out by showing off 2 of the 6 gorgeous new Sets!!! All the Sets will be available this Friday!!!

The two Sets we are showing are called *Christmas Drummer* and *Music Score & Words* !!!

So.....for today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC37 - Cindy has created this awesome Sketch for us to try!!!

Instead of it being just one sketch, though, it is a sketch four ways. The same sketch turned a quarter turn to give us four different looks. (Check out the Flourishes Blog for the different looks!!!) We like to call it a *Sketch March* in keeping with the drum and musical sets we are showcasing. So, you can decide if you want sketch option A, B, C, or D!!! You may even want to do all four!!! We would love to see which sketch you choose and what you create!!!

I chose Sketch *A* and this is my take on it......

I thought a more *vintage* look would work perfect with this Drummer image!!!

Here is what I have done - I started out by stampin' the BG Set *Music Score & Words* first. Next I distressed the edges using a Chai Blend....and then added the DP from the Ski Slope Collection.

The Drummer image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers from the Water Collection, Evergreen Collection as well as the E47 Marker. I again distressed the edges with Ink and then added the Versamark and Glassy Glaze Enamel to accomplish the *Cracked Glass* technique. And guess what...I got it right this time - wahoooo :-) !!!

At last I finished the card off with a Brown Satin Ribbon, Chocolate Kaiser Pearls and the sentiment from the BG Set *Music Score & Words*.

Please stop by the Flourishes Blog to see all the Samples and on how you can play along this week!!!

For close up inspiration please stop by - Betty, Cindy, Dee, Kimberly and Makiko's blog!!!

Want to double your chances of winning one of these new Sets??? Play along in the *A Season That Sparkles Challenge*....you can read all about it right HERE.

Now on to Mercy's Sketch Challenge - MTSC43!!!

Just in case you didn't know Mercy was so sweet and asked me to be her *October Muse*!!! And I'm loving it :)!!! Mercy has designed this fabulous Sketch for you to try!!!

Here is my take on it........

I combined the Sketch with this weeks C4C6 Challenge. I used the *Kind Thoughts* and *Live your Dream* Sets. The colors I used are Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.

The DP is from the Parisian Breeze Specialty Collection. I finished the card off by adding some smaller Silver Pearls to the butterfly, the flourished image and the sentiment.

Please don't forget to swing by Mercy's blog and her fabulous team - Pam Speidel, Cindy Haffner, Pam Varnell, Julie Lacey, Crystal Birr, Jackie Pedro, Jessica Diedrich, Shannan Teubner.

Thank you for sticking with me to the end....hope you have time to play along with us?!?
