C4C41, TESC117 Best Wishes

Happy Saturday!!!

How is your weekend so far??? Ours is steaming hot!!!  I really like summer, but not when they forecast an heat index of a 105 F for today...yikes!!! Perfect time to get caught up on all the laundry and cleaning before we are heading out of town next week!!!

I took a little break this afternoon and found two new challenges I wanted to participate in....first is the C4C41 ~ using light Pink, light Purple and light Green.  The second one is this weeks TESC117 Sketch. It just so happens that it is Taylor Van Bruggen's birthday and I wanted to send her some birthday wishes!!! Happy Birthday Taylor...hope you are having a fabulous day!!!  I also added Buttons to my card for the CAS-tastic CWC007 Challenge.

I still had the SU *Awash with Flowers* Set on my desk from the other day and figured I'll just use it again :) today!!! The sentiment is from the PTI Fillable Frames #4 Set. My flowers were inked in Memento Black and the leaves were colored with the Copic Marker G24. The inside of the flower heads were inked in Pretty in Pink and Lavender Lace. The Green CS was embossed with the new PTI Linen & Canvas Impression Plate. I added some Pretty in Pink Ribbon and finished it off with some matching PTI Buttons. The punched out border was created with the Scallop Border Punch. I also scored some lines on the bottom....voila!!!

Stay cool and enjoy your day!!! Hugs ~S~

At first, I was going to ask you where you bought the green cardstock from...but then I read that you used the PTI impression plate...I smiled, because I have that impression plate and just have not used it...Perfect card from a perfect designer :)

We are burning up here in Montgomery, AL too...the heat and humidity is really getting bad.

LOVE it, Silke! The row of buttons is darling and look at you putting "Xs" in the two out side ones. Great use of the layout and colours!

A beautiful card Silke, I love the soft colors. I hear ya on the heat! It's a scorcher down here as well. We stepped out for church this morning, oh my, the humidity was thick enough to cut with a butter knife!
