FTTC96 Happy Holidays, C4C66 Stay Warm and some more BLOG CANDY!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend??? Sarah and I returned safely from our trip to Florida. We had a fab time and unfortunately we lost the Volleyball game vs. Florida State.....sniff!!! Regardless of the outcome it was sooooooo cool to see both teams play!!! The NCAA game was held on campus of the Florida University home of the *Gators*...holy smokes what an awesome football stadium they have and the rest of the campus was awesome too!!!

Also, I'm thrilled to tell you that it is my turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC96 this week!!! My challenge to you is to create a *holiday 3-D gift* and if you feel like it you can create a matching card with it!!!  But the main focus should be the gift!!! If you have not created any gifts yet, this would be the perfect time to get inky!!! Remember, you are not required to use Flourishes stamps, but if you have them show them off...just have fun!!! Can't wait to see your creations!!!

My inspiration came from this weeks Cupcake Challenge #88. Here is my little gift idea...........

I always loved these sweet little handmade stockings...I couldn't resist making one this year!!! I used the super duper cute snowflakes from the Warm Winter Wishes Set, the sentiment inside is from the Holiday Greetings and the outside tag/sentiment is from the Holly and Dove Set. My card base is Crumb Cake. I randomly stamped the snowflakes with SU Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso and PTI Fresh Snow. The edges were ink distressed with PTI Chai Blend. I added some small cotton crochet trim on the top and finished the card off with some matching Chocolate Ribbon, a Red Button and some Gold Beaded Cord.

Now to the fun part...since it's the season of giving and you all are the best blog readers ever....I thought it would be fun to give this sweet Warm Winter Wishes Set away for some BLOG CANDY...if you own this awesome set already you can choose a different Set!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment!!! I will announce a winner this upcoming Friday!!!

Don't forget to check out ~ Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's gift ideas!!! Have fun playing along and I'll be stopping by to see your ideas!!!

*************************************************************************

Before you take off I actually have another card for you!!! This one is for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C66. It was a Sketch Challenge and you can see all the creations from the Crazy Team right HERE!!!

I ran out of adhesive last Wednesday and didn't have a chance to buy some until I stopped at a Michael's store down in Florida. Better late then never right...??? It just so happened that I used the super sweet Warm Winter Wishes Set again!!! The colors were inspired by this weeks CTD121.

Here is my card............

I bought this awesome new DP at Archiver's last week and it's from the BoBunny Winter Frost Collection. I'm really starting to like blue :) !!! The doily in the background was sponged with the SU Frost White Shimmer Paint....that's some awesome stuff to sparkle up your card!!! The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ B0000, B04, B29, E27, YR04. At last I added the Dazzling Diamond Glitter, the Marina Satin RibbonIce-Blue Rhinestones and the SU Antique Brad.

Hope you have a chance to play the Sketch as well??? Have a wonderful week and I'll see ya soon!!! Hugs ~S~

Whoohoo, Silke, I'm so excited to hear that you visited Gainesville and the University of Florida campus and the Swamp! My family is all Gators, with the exception of my daughter who is currently at Florida State. UF is truly an awesome place - especially on a football weekend!

Your cards are wonderful. The stocking is especially adorable and I love the subtle vintage flair you are working in lately!

Have a great week!

Hugs,
Linda

Hallo Silke,

I agree with Kimberly S. "Is there a template?" I think I've seen this little stocking before but with a hinged top. Seems the "fold over" option would be much simpler.
