FTTC145 Joy is in the Air.....

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Are you excited about Thanksgiving??? We are....we'll be celebrate with some friends and family we have not seen in forever! I have been backing some yummy German Apple Cakes and cookies :) !!! This year I'm way ahead of my Christmas shopping and I don't have to battle the crowd on Black Friday...okay maybe I will...just for the thrill...LOL!?!?

Anyway, since it's Tuesday, we have a fun new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC145 for you. Heather is our hostess this week and she has challenged us to a very fun theme to try..... *DRYER SHEET TECHNIQUE* or use *ANY HOUSEHOLD ITEMS*  you can convert!!!

Unfortunately I don't own any dryer sheets....and opted for White Tissue Paper and created the *Faux Silk* technique shown on SCS. I did alter the technique just a bit...I didn't smooth out the paper and I ran the tissue with the White CS straight through my Big Shot. My darlin' image is from the newly released Joy is in the Air Set and the sentiment is from the Holiday Greetings Set.

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ C1, C3, B21, R14, R27, G14, E27, E47, Y08 and Colorless BlenderLittle tip...when you color on tissue paper make sure to add some good CS underneath to oberserve the ink, otherwise the ink will leak. Next I embellished my card with the DP and CS, Ribbon, Button, Silver Cord, Glitter, a punched out MS Border on the bottom and some Red Kaiser Rhinestones.

My layout for this card was inspired by Iwona's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #38....

Please make sure to check out the rest of the team for their ideas ~  Cindy, HeatherTammyBeate, Mona and our November Guest Designer Miriam Napier.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you for taking the time to swing by today!

                                                                     Hugs, ~Silke~
