ODBDSLC87 Bookmark...and C4C116 It's Movie Time!!!

Happy weekend you all!

It's a big weekend here in Statesboro....our Georgia Southern University Football Team made it into the FCS playoffs...GO EAGLES! It will be crazy here in town today!!! We are super lucky with the weather, it suppose to be in the mid to upper 60's....can't complain for December.

Anyway, in the middle of all this craziness this week, I had a chance to sit down and create two different projects. My first one is for the Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC87. This week we are challenging you to create a *BOOKMARK*!!! Easy peasy right?!? It can be a corner bookmark, a card with a bookmark, a ribbon bookmark, a magnetic bookmark...anything with a bookmark!!! Have fun crafting!

I was very excited about using the brand new Simple Things image.....isn't it gorgeous? It even comes with a matching die!!! I randomly stamped the image with SU Old Olive and added the bee's in SU Chocolate Brown. I layered the bookmark with SU Chocolate and Kraft CS. The DP on top is from the BasicGrey Basic Manila. Next I sprayed the bookmark with some Glimmer Mist, then I added some Laced Cotton Ribbon, Brown/White Gingham Ribbon, a matching Button with some Brown Scrapper's Floss, the SU Antique Brad on top and some Brown Pearls.....voila!

For more inspiration and beautiful samples please visit the team ~SabrinaFrancie, Lori
ChrisSue and please help us welcome the super sweet and talented Wanda Cullen as our new Guest Designer for December and January!!!

*******************************************************************************

Now onto the Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C116. The theme this week is to make a card, or project inspired by your favorite *CHRISTMAS MOVIE*. My card was inspired by the sweet *One Magic Christmas* Movie.

I immediately thought of the Flourishes Joy is in the Air Set.

The image was inked with Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ B00, B91, B93, C1, C2, E35, Y08, RV24 and Colorless Blender. I layered the finished colored image onto the Spellbinder Picot Edge Circle Die and stamped the sentiment from the same set on the side.  The Blue DP is from the BasicGrey Nordic Holiday Collection. Next I added some piercing on the side, the Large Striped Ribbon, the Button and the Silver Cord, the Silver Pearls and at last I bedazzled the image with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Please makes sure to swing by the C4C Blog to see all the beautiful ideas the *Crazies* had!

Wishing you a wonderful, fun weekend! I'll be back on Tuesday hosting the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge...hope you'll stop by again?!?

                                                                     Hugs, ~Silke~

Your bookmark has the unmistakable look of a "Silke Creation" - loving your signature bows with either buttons or brads and the subtle stamping of the clover image is the hint of sunny days!

Love that card reminiscent of that sweet holiday movie too - your little girl with her snowman is precious !
