ODBD Alumni Border Blog Hop - CHECK IT OUT!!!

Happy Day!

It's an awesome week so far...can't complain with Valentine in it plus my co-worker Megan (we are sharing the office) just had her 4th baby girl - sweet little Elizabeth - she arrived on V-day...so fun! God is so good, she is a perfect little healthly munchkin and super cute of course :) !!!

Today, I'm excited to share a new Our Daily Bread Designs card. It's time for our Alumni Team's bi-monthly *For the Love Blog Hop*. This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop for the Love of ODBD Borders and Frames!

Check out each link and leave a comment. If you came from my Australian buddy KATHY's Blog then you are right on track....and if not please go to ODBD Blog and start at the beginning. One of the post is a hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until March 14th at 6 PM. We will announced the Winner on March 16th over on the ODBD Blog!

I have the pleasure of showing off the beautiful Fleur De Lis Border Set and the Bible Verse is from the Scripture Collection 6 Set. The images were stamped onto the ODBD Tag Die. The background was embossed with the SU Striped Embossing Folder and I layered it with some leftover SU Design Paper. Next I embellished my card with the PTI Stitched Smokey Shadow Ribbon, a matching SU Button, some White Scrapper's Floss, the Flowers & Leaves plus the Silver Pearls.

Now it's time to hop on over to my super sweet friend BETTY's Blog. Have fun hopping!!!

I'll be back on Saturday with a new card...see ya then!

Hi Silke!!

Had to pop in to comment on this fantastic card! Your pop of brightly colored flowers just bring in the focus of your card - one of my longtime favorite verses from John! Looks lovely in the black and white with the embossing and DP!!

Hope all is well with you - been keeping up with David's family - Praise GOd for all He is doing !!

Silke, this is fabulous! I've never seen the background embossing stripes before. Is that a folder that can be purchased somewhere? I love black and white, and the cleanliness of it. Your pop of color in the flowers and leaves is just the right finishing touch!

The border stamp really shows off the verse, and the grey and white colour scheme is fantastic with the splash of colour from the flowers.

What I like most about this is the addition of the silver pearls. They really finish the card off. The embossing is striking too without taking away from the stamped sentiment and border.

Hi Silke~

What a wonderful card! I love that embossed paper! It just went on my list! And, I always love black and white together...so dramatic when another color is added! I love all of your details...the silver pearls, the gorgeous flowers, the perfect bow...and what is that curly-Q white thread? I love it! The Verse looks fabulous with the Fleur De Lis Border around it...with more silver pearls! It really draws the eye to the mose important part...God's Word!

Wonderful Job!
