Our Creative Corner.....Top Talent!!!

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a special post....the fabulous ladies from the Our Creative Corner have chosen this card a while back and along with winning the challenge I have the opportunity to being in the spotlight for the......

I have the pleasure of answering some questions the OCC ladies have given me.......

1.) Where do you live?
I live in a smaller University town called Statesboro, Georgia, which is about 45 minutes NW of  Savannah. It's also the home of the Eagles....Go Eagles!!!

2.) How would you describe your art for the general public audience if they have never seen it before?
I would describe it as mainly clean, fresh, fun and elegant, but yet I can easily switch to Shabby Chic or Vintage.

3.) What texture inspires your creativity?
Hmmmm....not a 100% sure, there are so many awesome texture ideas and techniques, but I think I'll run with dry embossing!

4.)
What is the one tool you couldn't do without?
Most definitely my Stylus...I really like to score lines with it!

5.) What do you enjoy most about card-making?
I really enjoy creating different looks by adding different colors, design paper, embellishments, etc. For me it's definitely a great stress reliever from a busy day at work!!!

6.) Picking only one colour of paint, which would you prefer on your carpet? It's a tough question...but I think I have to go with the WHITE color....LOL..can you tell why???

Just to show off my style a little bit more.....I've create this card......

If you follow my blog, then you already know that I like to participate in either a fun *Color* or *Sketch* Challenge......so when I saw last weeks Deconstructed Sketch # 87 I couldn't help myself but to use it for today's post.

Everything came together super fast....!!! The Design Paper is a mixture of the MME Blush and MME Lavender Collection. I also added some Kraft CS, which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Dotted Swiss Folder. Next I stamped the the sentiment from the Flourishes In & Outside THANK YOU Set onto the Spellbinder Label Eighteen Die. I embellished the rest of my card with some Flowers, Silver Pearls, some Ribbon and a Button with some Karen Foster Pink Scrapper's Floss in the center.

Hope you had fun finding out a little more about me today :) ??? I'll be back tomorrow with a new Flourishes card...hope to see you then!?!?

                                                            Hugs, ~Silke~

Your card, as always, is so beautiful! Your work has such an elegance to it. I enjoyed learning more about you! I have two questions regarding your amazing cards... 1. When you score, do you use a special paper? Your lines always look so crisp and clean. I can never achieve that look. 2. Where, where, where do you find those glorious silver half-pearls? Thanks for being so sweet, and such an inspiration!

Lovely work! I have a very special friend who is also very talented with copics and card making and will be moving to Swainsboro Ga this month. Can you recommend any LSS near there. She thinks she may have to go to Greenwood SC.

Your card is lovely!
I really had a laugh with question #6. Personally, I prefer NOT to have any colour paint on my carpet! LOL!
