Faux Cloisonne'
This is the card that I submitted for yesterdays
"Try a new technique challenge" #157.
The technique they chose was called "Faux Cloisonne". Never done it before, but it was interesting trying!!! Please read more about it over on SCS....
Of course it took me forever and I was interrupted by my girls like 10,000 times....so I opted for this layout and my all time favorite "So Much" set - I know not very creative, but I was trying really hard....LOL!!!
So I started out with Whipser White and layered Purely Pomegranate and Gold CS. We had to stamp onto a magazine page....and I found this one made by "Jello". The advertisment was for blackberry and raspberry fushion "Jello" - Yummy!!! Plus it matched the Purley Pomegranate perfectly...
The flowers were embossed with gold and cut out.
I added the Antique Jumbo Eyelets and place clear Rhinestones in the center. The flowers were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.
When it came time to pick a sentiment - I had the hardest time...I left it off for right now until I know whom I'll give it to and the purpose of the occasion. ~TFL~

Very pretty! Love the jello paper! I saw Michael Strong do this on the Carol Duvall Show (rerun of course) a few months back.
This is very pretty...
Your flowers are awesome for this challenge. Joan
I always love the cards that have the flowers. In fact you inspired me and I have been stamping flowers and cutting them out and coloring them. I also went a little crazy and bought different sized flowers from the scrapbook store. I am going to try something like your card tonight or this weekend maybe. Simple yet elegant. And for those who dont make cards and receive them, they will think it took me a day to make. Hehehehehe.
