BIC14 Best Kind of Friends

Good Morning everyone!!!

Can you believe it's Tuesday??? This week is already flying by for me....My girls will be on Summer Break this coming Friday and I'm not ready for them to be home at all - LOL!!!
I vote for all year school - he,he,he!!!

Anyway - here is Beate's Inspiration piece - a wonderful table setting. Isn't it fun??? I love all the different colors, but I have to admit I had the hardest time pulling it all together....

This is how I translated them into the SU colors - So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery, one more blueish color that I couldn't categorize and Whisper White.

As you can already tell I was inspired by the colors.....Here is what I have done with my card. I have started out with So Saffron as my base card. Then I have layered it with Whisper White and Not Quite Navy CS. I have placed a strip of Certainly Celery across the center and added a Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Ribbon (Michael's).

I just received my long scalloped rectangle Nesties (Ellen Hudson) a couple of days ago and I had to use it with this card - btw it is Beate's fault that I have bought them - LOL!!! I have used Pumpkin Pie for the frame and the Stamp Set is called "Best Kind of Friends" (SU page 85) - isn't it sweet???

The flowers were colored with Ruby Red and Certainly Celery Markers. The Vase image was
stamped with Versamark and embossed with White EP - then I have cut around the edges. I have added Stampin Dimensionals to raise the vase up. I have have also added a Karen Foster "Brown Scrapper's Floss" around the vase and attached a *Thank you* Note from the retired "Fancy Flexible Phrases" Set. To balance the card out a bit I have added 3 Micro Silver Brads.

I hope you like the card??? I can't wait to see what everyone else from the Designer Team came up with - make sure to check them out!!!

Have a great day and ~TFL~

Silke, I love your take on Beate's inspiration! The colors are fantastic!

I'm with you on year-round school. Don't get me wrong ... I love having my kids home, BUT living in Arizona where it's like 110 degrees ... about the only thing there is to do outside is swim. Even the pools get warm by mid-July ... like swimming in bath water and not refreshing anymore! I could go on and on ... but am totally dreading summer starting for us on Friday too. BORING !!!
