OCC Challenge Follow your heart, IC164 Welcome Home

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

It's time for another fun OCC Challenge!!! Swing by the OCC blog to find out *who* our Guest is!?! Guess what - Jennifer also has an awesome *prize* to give away!!!

Recently a very dear friend of ours got engaged!!! Today's Sketch helped me to finally create a card for the special occasion!!! I hope my friend is gonna like it???

If you are like me....and you got sucked into the *Rub-Ons must have* and now you are stuck with them....I have an idea on how to use them!!!

On my card I used the flourishes from the *Cherishes Memories* and the sentiment from the *Eastern Elegance* Rub-Ons. The DP is - believe it or not - from the past SU Halloween Collection *Ghostly Greetings*!!! The Stamp Set is one of my fav's from SU *Boho Backgrounds*. If you would like to see other cards I made with this fun Set - click here.

Once I added the DP to my card I started to score two lines on each side. Next I added the Rub-ons. I inked four medallions in Versamark and embossed them with Black EP. The two top medallions were punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the bottom ones with the
1 3/4" Circle Punch. Before I raised all four medallions with Stampin Dimensionals I added the large Silver Eyelets and the large clear Rhinestones. To dress it up a bit more I added a Black Satin Ribbon from *Stamper's Dream*!!!

Hope you will have a chance to play along??? If you need more inspiration swing by every ones blog - Amy Sheffer, Cindy Haffner, Dawn Easton, Denise Marzec, Jennifer Meyer, Julee Tilman, Laurie Schmidlin, Lynda Benden, Jackie Pedro and Kim Teasdale.

*******************************

I haven't had a chance to play in the Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.....and I so love to play along!!!

Not this time....while everyone was already sleeping in my house...I got crafty - LOL!!!

This time Stef inspired us with some beautiful Calenders for the IC164.

I have chosen this Calender. I don't have a Barn image...but the *welcoming feel* I sensed from this image inspired me to use this beautiful Set called *Welcome Home* from *There She Goes*.

Did you know that Jessica designs her own Stamps??? I think she does a wonderful job and I have so much fun crafting with them!!!

This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The colors of the Calender inspired me as well... this is how I ended up using the following - Whisper White, Real Red and Chocolate Chip CS. I added a Copper Eyelet on tied it off with the Taffeta Chocolate Chip Ribbon.

The sentiment and the image were inked in Memento *Rich Cocoa* and then colored with Copic Markers - R29 Lipstick Red and YG91 Putty as well as Prisma Markers - PM-197 Green Tea, PM-132 Jasmine. The door frame was colored with the SU Creamy Caramel Marker.

Hope you like my take on the IC and the OCC Sketch??? Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~
