My first PTI Blog Hop

Hey again!!!

I'm so thrilled to participate in my first Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!!

This months challenge was to reuse, repurpose or recycle packaging from your Papertrey Package. Unfortunately I didn't get to order anything this month :( , so I didn't have the *big* box anymore.....but I kept some of the *corrugated cardboard* (which is wrapped around the ends of the cardstock) from last months order :)!!! I always loved the look of them and I have done a few projects in the past using them!!!

Anyway - I finally had a chance to ink up my gorgeous Autumn Abundance Set. I created a card and a *candy bar slider* for today's Blog Hop.

First is the card....... (please click on the photos to see the images larger)

Here is my *candy bar slider*.......

Here is the *combo* look.......

I used this wonderful Sketch my sweet blogging friend Charlene hosted a little while back.

Since I used the corrugated cardboard I thought I'd continue the look on my White CS and I embossed the it with a few rows on each side.

The main image was inked in Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used Circle Spellbinder Dies to punch it out.

For the smaller circles on my card I used the awesome Plum Pudding from the Bitty Box Patterned Paper. At last I added the Ribbon and the Silver Pearls.

The *candy bar slider* was really quick and easy to make.....I took my 8" DP square (it will give you two sliders if you cut the paper in half after it's done!!!) and scored it at 2", 1", 2", 1" and another 1/2". Trim the rest of the DP off and adhere it together. Cut at desired length - voila!!!

I decorated the slider with more corrugated cardboard, the Plum Pudding Saddle Stitched Ribbon, the extra little fuzzy Ribbon I had leftover. At last I added the little tag I made with it using the same PTI Set. Oh yeah - I filled it with some yummy Dove Chocolate Bar :) !!!

Hope you like this idea???

Thank you so much for hopping by.....I can't wait to see what everyone else created!?!

OMG the colors on your slider are GORGEOUS!! I haven't used purple much, but I will now -- I got some of that webby ribbon stuff in halloween colors (orange and black) because it looked all spider-webby...I think I'll make these for the favorite neighborhood kids! Thank you soooo much for the inspiration!!
