OCC - A Technique Challenge and a bonus card!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Thank you so much for all the sweet comment you all left on my RAK card from my sweet friend Carol Southern...if you missed it...you can see it right HERE!!!  I knew you would be blown away too...it's truly a masterpiece!!! This amazing technique on her card is called *Pergamano Craft*. I found this site and it explaines this fab technique a little more, but feel free to google it a little bit more!!!

Well, how about another fun OCC Challenge??? Linda is challenging us to try a *technique* we have never done before...so cool!!! I must admit I'm not huge into different techniques...I'm a visual learner and when I read instructions...I swear at the end I usually mess it up - LOL!!! If you want to try something new then please swing by the SCS Technique Site for inspiration!!!

For my card today I tried the Wax Paper Cuttlebug Resist technique.....very easy to make and I think the outcome is just gorgeous...and I didn't mess it up - LOL!!!

My main image is from the PTI Set Bird Watching. The layout is from the Sweet Sunday Sketch #56. When I saw this weeks Moxie Fab World Challenge  - Let's Have Some Fun With Floss....I knew I had to play along. I love Karen Foster Scrappers Floss and believe it or not I have all the colors!!!

The main image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. For my Wax Resist BG I used the QuickKutz Retro Diamonds Embossing Folder. After I followed all the steps...I sponged the Glossy CS with Real Red Ink. I really like the outcome of this image :) !!! Next I finished the card with the Scrappers Floss, the Red Stitched Ribbon and Silver Pearls.

If you haven't tried this fun technique...I urge you to do so....it's really fun!!!

Now it's your turn....don't forget to stop by the OCC Blog to see all the Samples!!!

**************************************

My next card is for a few different Challenges....first I was inspired by this weeks IC220 - Lark. I chose this super sweet Butterfly Craft Kit  for my inspiration piece.

Next I chose to run with the beautiful Curtain Call Color Combo #17 - using So Saffron, More Mustard , Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Going Gray...(had to use Basic Gray). I added the
LSC260 - using Ribbon and Trim plus it also fits this weeks Belli Challenge #85 - adding Butterflies or Dragonflies.

Here is my card............

I used the sweet Set from Stampin' Up called Flight of the Butterfly. Instead of using the sentiments in the Set...I decided to add some piercing. I also added piercing around the edges.

The butterflies were first inked in So Saffron and then I added the dots with the More Mustard Ink. The trim was created with Chocolate Chip using the new Scallop Trim Border Punch. I added the Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon and dressed it up with some Silver Pearls and Buttons from the SU Latte Collection.

Thank you for stopping by today!!! Have a fabulous weekend!!!

I don't think I've ever tried that technique either. I love the results, though. What a great background you created. And your butterfly card - I love it. You know I have a thing for butterflies. :-) I hope you have a good weekend!

Oh my word Silke, they're BOTH GORGEOUS!! I don't know where you find the time girlfriend! Your first one is just absolutely precious! What a darling image, and I'm really loving your red with it. That bow and that lil cut out sentiment is fabulous!

Great job with your second card too...love those butterflies! Nice choice with that gray ribbon, and as always, I'm LOVING those pearls....I need MORE!! LOL

Enjoy your weekend girly : )

I LOVE the OCC card. When I first looked at it I was wondering what new technique there was on it, the Cuttlebug resist looks like DP. I do have a question, didn't your glossy paper crack at the embossing when you ran it through the folder? Perhaps the QuickKutz folder is easier than the Cuttlebug?

Love the one with the birdhouses too. The twine across the white panel is brilliant. Great card!!
