LSC218, WT216 Fresh Cuts

Happy TGIF guys!!!

Here is a card I whipped up quickly for the LSC218 - Border Crossing and the WT216 - using black on your card.

I was looking for an image that already has a border on it and I still had my SU Fresh Cuts on my table - I thought it's perfect for the Challenge!!! We got a bonus point *wink* if we use a flower image - so double points for me - LOL!!!

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I inked the image with Basic Black and then layered it randomly using Black and White CS. Each panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

To dress it up I used a Styled Silver Label Holder tying it off with some Black Satin Ribbon.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you for the OCC Challenge tomorrow!!! ~TFL~

My Guest Designer this week is Julia Betemps . Julia is the owner of Little Paper Shop!!! If you are not familiar with the Little Paper Shop, please make sure to swing by the the LSP Blog to subscribe!!! Julia always has some fun Challenges going on too!!!

The LPS had a brand spankin' new Release this past week and Julia is generously offering two Stamp Sets. One from the new Release called *Butterflies* and the second one is *Beautiful Things*. Hope you all play along???

Here is my card...
.
I haven't used this beautiful SU Set - Fresh Cuts in a while. For the layout I used the TECC62 Sketch. This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

The DP is from the Patterns Pack Design Collection (Hostess Level I Set) from the last Catalog.

The Real Red CS was pierced. The circles were done with the Nestie's. the 7/8" Black Satin Ribbon is from Walmart. Plus I added the large Silver Pearls (Michael's) on each side. Each of the panels were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Hope you like it???

******************************
Here is another card. I used the beautiful Fresh Cuts Set again.

The card base measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I cut the image into panels and layered them with Black CS. Next I layered them onto Whisper White and Real Red CS. The whole panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Before I added the the image onto the card base I attached the Styled Silver Label Holder with the 1/4" Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon.

*********************************

Next is my card for the IC177 - Kleenex and for the WT215 - using White, white and more white!!! You all know it's right up my alley :)

I chose this cute little box for my inspiration. I used - *Beautiful Things* from Little Paper Shop this is one of the Set's that you will be able to win by participating in the OCC Challenge :)!!!

Of course I had to use my favorite Color Combo - Black, Red and White !!!

I really like the two-step stamp images, because I can accomplish so may different looks with them. Make sure to stop by the LSP gallery for more ideas!!!

I randomly inked the flowers and added the leaves on each side. Next I decorated them with my favorite Silver Pearls (Michael's).

The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and punched out with the Large Oval Punch layered onto the new Scalloped Oval Punch found in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I also pierced right below sentiment. The image panel and the sentiment were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Hope I have inspired you to play along??? Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~Silke~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC206 Live Your Dream...

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Are you ready for another *Flourishes Timeless Tuesday* Challenge!!! This week the wonderful Dee Jackson has challenged us to use *flowers* on our cards!!! YEAHHHH - I love flowers on my cards....!!! For all the details and Samples stop by the Flourishes Blog!!!

For my card I used a combo....the brand new released Flourishes Set *Sign of Spring* image as well as some flower embellishments (Fancy Pants, Making Memories). I added some small buttons in the center of the flowers and tied them with some Scrapper's Floss (Karen Foster).

The layout came from Jen's SFYTT Sketch. I used the following colors - White, Kraft and Riding Hood Red CS. The sentiment and basket image were inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic and Prisma Markers - Go7, R08, B35, W-5 plus PM-132. The little Chickie's were inked in Marigold Morning and also colored with the Prisma Marker - Jasmine PM-132. Aren't they toooooo cute??? I raised the Chickie's, flowers and panels with Stampin Dimensionals plus I added some piercing underneath the main image.

Hope you will get out your flowers stamps, embellishment etc. and play along??? Don't forget to use the keyword *FTTC3* when you upload to the SCS gallery!!!

For more inspiration stop by my Flourishes Friends - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner and Dee Jackson.

*****************************************

Finally - here is my card for the CC206 - sorry you had to wait for this post!!!

I don't know about you, but I had a heck of a time to use this Color Combo - Rose Red, More Mustard and Kiwi Kiss (Old Olive optional). I had to try several different Sets, but finally settled for this wonderful *Live Your Dream* Set.

I really tried to minimize the More Mustard....I didn't think it's a good match at all, but that's why it called a challenge right?!? I used more Rose Red and Old Olive and accessorized the card with small More Mustard butterflies from the Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch.

The image was colored with Rose Red and Old Olive Markers. I dressed the card up with some Silver Pearls (Michaels) and scored on the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from the *Fresh Cuts* Set and I inked it Basic Black. The circles were punched out with the 1" and 1 1/4" SU Circle Punch.

Thank you for being so patient and for stopping by!!! Have a great day!!!

We were allowed to embellish our card and the only thing I have done is pierced right around the main image.

A couple of people have tagged me and given me awards - I'll try to post something next week - when everything has slowed down.....I have not forgotten - I just haven't had time to do it yet!!!

Anyway - this is my card I have squeezed in this afternoon for Julee Tilman's MOJO #43 - which you can see right here. After I have made it I realized I could post it under yesterday's TLC #174 *Watercolor with Reinkers* as well and so I did - you can see the info and cards to this Challenge right here.

This fabulous Sketch from Julee made this whole card come together so fast!!! BTW - have you all seen the fabulous new colors from Papertrey Ink yet??? OMG - hop on over there and check it out!!! I totally fell in love with the gorgeous *Plum Pudding* Color. Actually what sold me on it was the fabulous Ribbons - crazy huh??? Had to have them and when my package arrived I was itching to use them.....

Okay - so I did not stop with the Ribbons and Cardstock - LOL - I had to have the Ink Pad too....The *Fresh Cuts* Set was inked with Plum Pudding and I've colored the flowers and stems with Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery. I went for the softer look to compliment the Plum color. The scalloped edge was done with the largest scalloped rectangle Nestie and I have used the 5/8" *Saddle Stitched Ribbon* on top. The fab Rhinestones are from SU.

BIC17 Fresh Cuts

Good Morning!!!

It's Tuesday again....time for Beate's *Be Inspired* Challenge #17!!!.

Today Beate has chosen a
beautiful Coldwater Pillow.

You all know that I love *Black & White* cards....so this Challenge was a very fun for me.

This Color Combo always looks so elegant and of course that's exactly what I was trying to accomplish with this card as well.

The card was very simple to make....it measures 5" x 5".

I have used Basic Black as my base. Next I've stamped the *Fresh Cuts* image in Basic Black Ink and trimmed it to 3" x 3". The next Basic Black CS layer is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". The Whisper White CS layer is 4" x 4". This whole section was placed on Stampin Dimensionals.

Next I have added the sentiment to the *Styled Silver* Label Holder and attached it with Basic Black Satin Ribbon (Michael's). Then I have centered the image to the base of the card.

Hope you get a chance to play along??? Don't forget to check all the talented ladies from Beate's DT - you can find them on the right hand side of my blog!!!

I'm off to see what's going on over at the SCS Challenge - catch ya later!!!

Three Challenges in one - WAAHHOOOO!!!

These are the three cards I have made for today's LSC170 Challenge. The info can be found right here.

My idea for all this started when I took a look at Beate's WSC50 Sketch for today. The second idea came from Sharon Johnson's Stamp it Simple Challenge #37 - "Black and White card plus one" - OMG - are you kidding me - my favorite Color Combo - you know I had to do it - LOL!!!
I can't put this fabulous new *Fresh Cuts* down.....Ladies this set is a *must have* - LOL!!!

If you choose to case some of my idea's I have made with the *Fresh Cuts* Set I would love, love, love to see it!!! So don't be shy and sent me a link!!!
I have made a long, wide and square card using the original layout. If you like click on each card to get a better look.

CC168 Fresh Cuts

Finally - I had a quite moment to post my card I have made for the Color Combo Challenge.

The colors for today are - Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Very Vanilla. It is a beautiful combo!!!

Of course I'm stuck on the new Fresh Cuts Set....and I think it really works wonderful with this Sketch too!!!

I have trimmed the image a little bit to make it fit better. I have started out with making Very Vanilla my base. Then I have added a big Chocolate Chip CS and a smaller piece of Sage Shadow on the bottom. The image was inked in Chocolate Chip and I debated if I should color the flowers inside or not and - I just left it plain....Next, I have layered the image onto Sage Shadow and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals, but first I have added the super yummy Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. Then I have stamped the *for you* sentiment in the right hand corner and added the medium Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Just in case you have ever wondered - the *Medium* Brads are a little bit bigger then the regular Brads....and they stand out more too...!!!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out my *Be Inspired* card for today's BIC challenge it's posted right below - let me know what you think?!!!?

FS68 Fresh Cuts

Here is my second card I have made for my friend "Denise aka Peanutbee".

It's all her fault that I had a short night - LOL!!! By the time I went to bed it was close to 1:30 am and I had to get up 7:00 am!!!

But what can I say - it was all worth it!!! She totally *ROCKS*!!!

Here is the card that I have chosen this time.

I have kept the same layout and only made minor changes:

I have used the super *NEW* Fresh Cuts Set and I have used different colors - Purely Pomegranate, So Saffron and Whisper White. I have also added Silver Brads and the yummy Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon again.

Denise- my friend - I hope you like this one too??? ~TFL~

WSC49 Fresh Cuts

Wahoo - I finally made a card for Beate's WSC #49. I think I've made three attempts before I was not interrupted....

It was my girls last day of school yesterday and we had the house full of Sarah's friends and ....it was very busy around here!!! Not to mention the noise.....I can't believe it's *Summer Break* - can someone rescue me - PLLLEEEAAASSSEEE????

Anyhow - here is my card. I enjoyed this Sketch very much and I think I'll have to use it soon again!!!
I have used my favorite color combo again....- Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I have started out with Real Red as my base and layered it with Whisper White. Then I have cut a panel of Real Red and Basic Black and adhered it to the upper part of the card. I have also added the Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from SU.

The main image was cut with the a circle Nestie then layered onto Real Red and a large scalloped circle Nestie - I have raised the circles each with Stampin Dimensionals. Then I have stamped the sentiment in Real Red. To finish the card off I have added three medium Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Enjoy your weekend and check out the card below this post - I have made another *Fresh Cuts* idea!!! ~TFL~

Fresh Cuts - 3-Panel Card

This design was stuck in my head yesterday after I had made the card for Beate's WSC....of course it was late and I should have waited until today to make it, since I have goofed on the third panel....

Anyhow - I'll probably make another one later...but for right now you at least get the idea what I wanted to accomplish with this Set.
I enjoy this *NEW* Fresh Cuts Set so much - I think it's very elegant and you can do a lot with it!!!

Remember it will be available June 01st!!!
Here is what I have done...I have used my favorite color combo - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4 ". I have started with Real Red CS and layered it with Whisper White. Then I have stamped the main image and trimmed around it.

After that I have cut it into three pieces and that's were I have goofed - LOL!!! Each panel should measure 1 1/8". The Basic Black CS panel should measure 1 1/4". I've adhere them together and layered them closer to the upper edge. - so I would have room for the Styled Silver Label Holder and the Ribbon.

Hope you like the card??? ~TFL~
