Hope you all are doing okay during these crazy times? As for us...we are staying home and try to do things that we usually never get done...like getting rid of stuff we no longer need...and ordering stuff online...LOL!!!
Of course I couldn't resist buying the super cute new release from "THE GREETERY" ... if you missed it...go and check it out!!!
How cute is this Top Down Day Set ??? I added some clouds in the background and the road on the bottom...voila!
Hope you all survived the holidays and had a great start into "2020" ?!?
Ours was a whirl wind of sad, fun and very exciting events...first we had to put down our beloved boxer boy "Luke"... (he was almost 12 yrs) it was heartbreaking for sure :(.....
On a happier note, our youngest daughter Miriam celebrated her 15th birthday, our oldest daughter graduated early with her BBA in Marketing, then it was Christmas and before we knew it, our oldest daughter had a job offer that will be taking her to Houston, TX - which is about 4 hours from us...in the meantime we have done lots of driving....finding an apartment, furniture etc. and now we are in the last phase of finally moving her into the new place!
Needless to say that my crafting has once again taken the back burner...but it's all good and I finally had a little "ME" time!
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and families? Ours was yummy and yes, I did fall into a food coma afterwards...LOL! When I awoke I decided to craft a little bit....and created this card for this weeks Color Throwdown #571....
I love these fun bright non-traditional colors....
and decided to ink up my fun Peaceful Forest Set from Ink to Paper.
Wishing you all a fun Black Friday Shopping Day!!! ~SL
I'm finally back with a card...yeah! I thought I'd never be able to play this color combo....
My poor Miriam got hit with Strep and the Type B Flu ....we caught it early, but it was still pretty bad. Since it was highly contagious we all were scared and prayed that we don't get it too. Needless to say...I disinfected EVERYTHING over and over again...so far so good! I know she is excited to going back to school on Monday....and so am I... ;) !!!
As soon as I saw the Color Throwdown #569combo, my fingers were itching to ink up my With Love at Christmas Set from "The Greetery"....
Here are the colors...
Wishing you a fabulous remaining Sunday! God bless, ~SL~
I'm excited to show you this fun gift idea....I think I'll be making lots of them...
I think we all can agree that Betsy Veldman is a brilliant designer in the card making business!
She created this awesome new Speed Tagging Christmas Rubber Set with the matching dies and I have to say... I L.O.V.E this new way of tagging! Here is Betsy's video tutorial....you can see what I'm talking about!
Wishing you a wonderful day and I'll see you soon! ~SL~
My colors didn't come out as vivid as I imagined, but I definitely love the watercolor look of it! The colors I used for my card are from SU - Closed to Cocoa, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight along with my Kuretake ZIG Brushes. At last I added some matching splashed dots around, added the sentiment and the different Sequins.
If you've followed me over the years, you know I do share Laurie's passion for Kraft CS.....one of my favorite card stocks too!
For this card I also used one of my all time fav's PTI - Twig Wreath along with the matching dies, and the PTI - Give Thanks Set. Click here if you would like to see all the cards I have crafted with this awesome wreath set.
I decided to use the PTI - To the Point Edgers Die to spruce up my card, as well as adding some scored lines. At last I finished it off with some Silver Halfback Pearls anda Gingham Ribbon on top.
My inspiration came from the beautiful blue patternsand the flowers. I usually don't use a lot of blues in my card...so this was a great opportunity to incorporate this blue/yellow color combo.
The blue DP on the bottom of my card is from an old SU Pattern Paper Collection. The roses are from the beautiful PTI - Farmer's Market Florals Set along with the matching dies. The sentiment is from the PTI - Penned Elegance Set.
I used the beautiful PTI - Gran's Garden Set along with the matching dies. The sentiment is from the PTI - Penned Elegance Set. My background was embossed with a PTI - Impression Plate (no longer avail.). The colors I used are PTI - Weathervane, Aqua Mist and True Black, plus SU - Basic Gray and Brilliant Blue. At last I added the Clear Sequins.
Stay tuned...I have a new card to show you tomorrow! Wishing you a fab weekend! ~SL~
