WT168 Friends

Sorry it took my so long to post this card, but I was running late this morning to meet my PIL for lunch.
Some of our relatives from Virgina came and we all met in Savannah which is about a 45 minutes drive - I have made it in 30 - he,he,he!!!

First I wanted to play in this WT Challenge, but then I thought about it and I didn't really have a Stamp Set to work with.....but then I read Julia's instructions again and I ran with the *Vacation* theme!!!

Isn't *Vacation* the best time to take it easy and hang out with your friends???
Which led me to use the *Sweetybella* I have recently bought. This is my SCS buddy Denise aka *peanutebee* also known as this past weekends Featured Stamper - she totally rocks!!!

Anyway - that's the both of us eating our yummy, yummy favorite ice cream together!!! Make sure you hop over to Denise's blog to find her version of the *Sweetybella* Stamp!!! Isn't it an awesome card she has made for me???

For my card I have tried to use Beate's WSC#49 Sketch. I think I left one panel off - but that's where I have got the idea for this layout!!!

Since this is a *Vacation* card I went with the fun and bright colors - Yoyo Yellow, Real Red.
For the coloring of the image I have used Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Close to Cocoa, Brilliant Blue, Creamy Caramel. Everything was colored using a Blender Pen.

I have stamped the image twice and cut out the ice cream. Next I have used the 3-D Liquid Applique and dried it with the Heating Tool - I love how it pops up!!! Then I have raised them up with Stampin Dimensionals!!! I haved added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the flowers and my fab necklace I'm wearing - he,he,he!!!!

Denise's favorite flavor is Chocolate Mint and mine is Hawaiian Coconut. Do you think I have made it look alright - LOL???

Thanks flor looking!!!

TECC17 Floral Whimsy

I had a late start today....we had the bi-monthly
Exterminator visit, my two oldest wanted to get a new hair due and the bill's were ready to be paid...

So - all in all I had no stamping time this morning and early afternoon....but thankfully things calmed down and I had the chance to escape to my craft area.

Since I wasn't to crazy about the SCS Sketch Challenge today..... I thought I would browse around really quick to see what Taylor VanBruggen has come up with....and to my pleasant surprise I have found her TECC17 Sketch - Wahoooo - I knew I wanted to try it!!!

This is the card I have created with it . I have used my newly won *Floral Whimsy* Set with it and I'm so loving this Set - have I mentioned this before - LOL???

My color choices were Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose,Close to Cocoa , Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive and Whisper White. Aren't the colors beautiful together???

I have started out stamping the vase image first with Close to Cocoa. Then I have stamped the
flowers with the Purely Pomegranate Stampin Spot and Regal Rose Marker. The stems were colored with the Old Olive Marker. Next I have trimmed the stamped image to were it would fit into the long rectangle scalloped Nestie. The Nestie was cut with the Close to Cocoa CS and then raised with Stampin Dimensional.

To make the Sketch a little more elegant I have added the Ribbon (Michael's) and the small Halfback Pearls.

Hope you like the card and the Sketch I have chosen??? ~TFL~
OOPS - after I have posted the card I realized I should have added the sentiment underneath the image, but I have placed it on the side......see this is what happens when you're getting older - LOL!!!

BTW - IT'S BLOG CANDY TIME AGAIN!!!!! WATCH OUT IT'S COMING SOON!!!!

CC168 Fresh Cuts

Finally - I had a quite moment to post my card I have made for the Color Combo Challenge.

The colors for today are - Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Very Vanilla. It is a beautiful combo!!!

Of course I'm stuck on the new Fresh Cuts Set....and I think it really works wonderful with this Sketch too!!!

I have trimmed the image a little bit to make it fit better. I have started out with making Very Vanilla my base. Then I have added a big Chocolate Chip CS and a smaller piece of Sage Shadow on the bottom. The image was inked in Chocolate Chip and I debated if I should color the flowers inside or not and - I just left it plain....Next, I have layered the image onto Sage Shadow and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals, but first I have added the super yummy Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. Then I have stamped the *for you* sentiment in the right hand corner and added the medium Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Just in case you have ever wondered - the *Medium* Brads are a little bit bigger then the regular Brads....and they stand out more too...!!!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out my *Be Inspired* card for today's BIC challenge it's posted right below - let me know what you think?!!!?

BIC15 Boho Backgrounds

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Weekend?!?!

Ours was fun - we just hung out at the house and played basketball with the girls...pool time and relaxation after that....

That's why I can't believe it's already Tuesday again....WAHOOO - time for Beate's BIC#15!!!

Hope you don't mind that I have used this layout again....but I had to!!! This super sophisticated dress just screamed for it!!! When I saw the this dress I knew the *Boho Backgrounds* Set would be the perfect Set for it!!!

Of course the colors were inspired by this dress !!! I have chosen Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Basic Black and Whisper White.

I have stamped the Boho image first with Versamark and embossed it with Basic Black EP. I have used the 1 3/8" Punch to create the circles. Then I have added a *Pewter* Jumbo Eyelet and a large light blue Rhinestone in the center. Each circle was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the *All Holidays* Set and I have stamped it with Basic Black Ink and layered it with Basic Black CS. Then I have attached it on the upper right hand corner.

Hope you like my interpretation of the challenge and maybe you'll find the time to play today???

Make sure to check all the ladies on the BIC Team - they are located on the right side of my blog!!!

Have a great day and ~TFL~ !!!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

I saw Julee Tilman's MOJO#39 Sketch this morning over on SCS and I could not resist to make a card with this fun Sketch!!!

I have used the the *Essence of Love* Set and colored it randomly with Real Red and Old Olive Markers. I just love to add some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to this fun image. I have also added the yummy bright 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon from SU to my card.

This was a quick and fun card to make I hope you will have time to play in Julee's wonderful Sketch Challenge - this lady knows how to whip them up - LOL!!! I'm a super big fan of Julee's can ya tell???

Enjoy your day and I'll see what's going on with today's "Try a new Technique" Challenge - hope you'll stop by again soon?!?

FS68 Fresh Cuts

Here is my second card I have made for my friend "Denise aka Peanutbee".

It's all her fault that I had a short night - LOL!!! By the time I went to bed it was close to 1:30 am and I had to get up 7:00 am!!!

But what can I say - it was all worth it!!! She totally *ROCKS*!!!

Here is the card that I have chosen this time.

I have kept the same layout and only made minor changes:

I have used the super *NEW* Fresh Cuts Set and I have used different colors - Purely Pomegranate, So Saffron and Whisper White. I have also added Silver Brads and the yummy Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon again.

Denise- my friend - I hope you like this one too??? ~TFL~

FS68 Floral Whimsy

I was sooooo excited to see my SCS and blogger friend Denise aka *Peanutbee* being chosen as the Featured Stamper today!!!
Denise is a super talented artist and I love all of her creations - especially her talent on coloring!!!

So when I saw her announcement last night I was jumping up and down and of course I couldn't go to sleep - oh no - I went straight up to my crafting room and started making the first card!!!

I have won this fantastic Verse Visual *Floral Whimsy* Set and after picking this card from Denise's gallery I knew it work perfectly with the card I have made for her!!!
Here are some minor changes I have made:

I have used different colors - So Saffron, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa and Groovy Guava.
For the inks I have used - Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Purely Pomegranate.
I have added the Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon and some Halfback Pearls in the center of the flowers.

Denise - I hope you like it??? ~TFL~

IC129 Something Special

I could not resist playing in today's IC#129.
Stephanie has picked the most gorgeous colored fabrics...I think I really need to redo some of my living space - LOL!!!

Please click here to see the fabric combo that inspired me. Can you guess which one I have chosen???

The card measures 5" x 5". I have only used Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
The sentiment and the image are from *Cornish Heritage Farms* and it's called "Nature Silhouettes".

Here is another card I have made with this Set.

I keep this card very simple and I have dressed it up with some medium Gold Brads from Making Memories (perfect for larger cards!!!) and some fabulous Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon from SU - I'm so hoping they will have them in the new Catalog!!!

Anyway - have you checked out my cards below??? I don't want ya to miss them - LOL!!! ~TFL~

WSC49 Fresh Cuts

Wahoo - I finally made a card for Beate's WSC #49. I think I've made three attempts before I was not interrupted....

It was my girls last day of school yesterday and we had the house full of Sarah's friends and ....it was very busy around here!!! Not to mention the noise.....I can't believe it's *Summer Break* - can someone rescue me - PLLLEEEAAASSSEEE????

Anyhow - here is my card. I enjoyed this Sketch very much and I think I'll have to use it soon again!!!
I have used my favorite color combo again....- Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I have started out with Real Red as my base and layered it with Whisper White. Then I have cut a panel of Real Red and Basic Black and adhered it to the upper part of the card. I have also added the Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from SU.

The main image was cut with the a circle Nestie then layered onto Real Red and a large scalloped circle Nestie - I have raised the circles each with Stampin Dimensionals. Then I have stamped the sentiment in Real Red. To finish the card off I have added three medium Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Enjoy your weekend and check out the card below this post - I have made another *Fresh Cuts* idea!!! ~TFL~

Fresh Cuts - 3-Panel Card

This design was stuck in my head yesterday after I had made the card for Beate's WSC....of course it was late and I should have waited until today to make it, since I have goofed on the third panel....

Anyhow - I'll probably make another one later...but for right now you at least get the idea what I wanted to accomplish with this Set.
I enjoy this *NEW* Fresh Cuts Set so much - I think it's very elegant and you can do a lot with it!!!

Remember it will be available June 01st!!!
Here is what I have done...I have used my favorite color combo - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4 ". I have started with Real Red CS and layered it with Whisper White. Then I have stamped the main image and trimmed around it.

After that I have cut it into three pieces and that's were I have goofed - LOL!!! Each panel should measure 1 1/8". The Basic Black CS panel should measure 1 1/4". I've adhere them together and layered them closer to the upper edge. - so I would have room for the Styled Silver Label Holder and the Ribbon.

Hope you like the card??? ~TFL~

ssnotime36 - I just love you!!!

I have made this card for Sharon's Challenge #36. It's been a while so I thought I'd play today.

Sharon's requirements are to add a *Bug* to the card...how fun is that???

I don't have any *critter's*, but I thought I would use the beautyful butterfly that comes with the *Just Like You* Set.

For this card I have used Julee Tilman's MOJO Sketch #38. I have switched it around and I think it looks great that way too...

I have used Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White and Basic Black for this card. Very similar to the card I have made for the VV entry - except I have used Pretty in Pink for this card.

The flowers and the butterfly were colored with the Regal Rose and Certainly Celery Markers. I have added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter on all of them and the I have stamped the sentiment with Basic Black. Then I have dressed the card up with some Basic Black Brads and Ribbon.

Hope you like the card and maybe you'll have a chance to play Sharon's challenge as well.

I have the link right here!!! Can't wait to see what you have come up with!!!
Enjoy your weekend and I'll see ya soon!!! ~TFL~

LSC169 Happy Father's Day!!!

Oh my goodness - no hardware allowed on today's Limited Supply Challenge - I thought I'm gonna pass out - LOL!!!

I have discovered I'm addicted to my *BRADS*!!!

I was definitely struggling this morning....and I had to think....a lot....about what I should create. The masculine theme from yesterday's WT Challenge was also still stuck in my head and that didn't make it any easier!!!

Here is what I have come up with.

BTW - did you know that Jackie Pedro deemed me to be the *Queen* of White - LOL!!! You are too funny Jackie - LOL!!! Love the title - he,he,he !!!

Anyway - the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment is from the "All Holidays" Set. I have inked it up with the Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Stampin Spot's.

Then I have layered the sentiment onto Old Olive CS and raised it all up with Stampin Dimensionals.( I'm addicted to those too - LOL!!!)

The little Chocolate Chip and Old Olive circles are punched out with the 3/4" and 1/4" Punches from SU. I have also added the cool CC Poly Twill Ribbon from the new Mini Brochure.

BIC14 Best Kind of Friends

Good Morning everyone!!!

Can you believe it's Tuesday??? This week is already flying by for me....My girls will be on Summer Break this coming Friday and I'm not ready for them to be home at all - LOL!!!
I vote for all year school - he,he,he!!!

Anyway - here is Beate's Inspiration piece - a wonderful table setting. Isn't it fun??? I love all the different colors, but I have to admit I had the hardest time pulling it all together....

This is how I translated them into the SU colors - So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery, one more blueish color that I couldn't categorize and Whisper White.

As you can already tell I was inspired by the colors.....Here is what I have done with my card. I have started out with So Saffron as my base card. Then I have layered it with Whisper White and Not Quite Navy CS. I have placed a strip of Certainly Celery across the center and added a Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Ribbon (Michael's).

I just received my long scalloped rectangle Nesties (Ellen Hudson) a couple of days ago and I had to use it with this card - btw it is Beate's fault that I have bought them - LOL!!! I have used Pumpkin Pie for the frame and the Stamp Set is called "Best Kind of Friends" (SU page 85) - isn't it sweet???

The flowers were colored with Ruby Red and Certainly Celery Markers. The Vase image was
stamped with Versamark and embossed with White EP - then I have cut around the edges. I have added Stampin Dimensionals to raise the vase up. I have have also added a Karen Foster "Brown Scrapper's Floss" around the vase and attached a *Thank you* Note from the retired "Fancy Flexible Phrases" Set. To balance the card out a bit I have added 3 Micro Silver Brads.

I hope you like the card??? I can't wait to see what everyone else from the Designer Team came up with - make sure to check them out!!!

Have a great day and ~TFL~

LSC168 Becca

Next Thursday is my middle daughter's 7th Birthday....and he has been planning everything for months....LOL!!!! I remember when I was little - I used to do the same thing - well I think we all did - right???

When I saw today's Limited Supply Challenge I thought I could make her a personalized Birthday card.
Unfortunately her name is kinda long and I didn't feel like making a long card so I cut it short for *Becca* that's what we call her most of the time or we call her *Bextar* if she is not nice - LOL!!!

Rebecca's favorite color is pink and she is my *DRAMA* Queen - that's were the black Ribbon and CS comes in.....I think the row of Silver Brads finish the card off nicely?!?!
The Stamp Set I have used is the "Jumbo Outline Alphabet" and it was inked in Basic Black and I have colored the inside with a Blender Pen using Pretty in Pink Ink.

Hope you like it and I'll let you know what my *Becca* thought of her card soon!!!

Just in case you wanted to know!!!

I was asked already by a couple of people where I have bought the *Micro Silver Brads* for my card I have made for the Ways to use it Challenge .

I have ordered them from "Just Brads & Eyelets" click right here for the Micro Brads link.
This store has a lot of fun stuff....hope you have a minute to check them out?!?

Have a good one and thanks for asking.....

WT166 Thank you very much

What an interesting "Ways to use it challenge"....I have never heard of *inchies* - must be because I'm a foreigner - LOL!!!
Since I didn't have any I had to create my own....

My grey cells had to go in overdrive and I had to surge for a stamp set....and I didn't even had my second cup of Cappuchino yet - LOL!!!

So I finally found a set and this is what I did - I have used a wonderful set called "Spring Blooms" and it's from Impression Obsession. The images are small and I have created another card with this set that you can see here.

I have added some Silver Micro Brads in the center of each flower and underneath the sentiment from the retired "All Year Cheer II".

To give the card a little more punch I have added the wonderful new Real Red Striped Ribbon from SU. To balance the card I have added three more brads on the right hand side.

For the centerpiece I have cute the Real Red CS 2 3/4" x 2 3/4". The Whisper White layer is cut 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". The flower images and sentiment are 1" x 1" and the Real Red frame is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

SC176 Garden Collage

Happy Wednesday Morning!!!

Well by now you already know that I love Sketch Challenges....and of course I had to play today as well!!!

I've tried to keep it fairly simple, but yet I wanted to bring all the focus to the image....that's when I had to bring out my "Garden Collage" Set!!!

This gorgeous Set works so wonderful with any Color Combination and the image itself is striking!!!

For today's card I have used Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. I have dressed it up with the gorgeous CC Satin Ribbon , Jumbo Brads and green Rhinestone Brads from SU.

I have colored the image with a Blender Pen using the same colors as the CS. Hope you like it???

CC166 Essence of Love

I think the Color Combo and the Sketch Challenges are my favorites....How about you???

Of course when I saw today's CC - I thougth hmmmm - that's interesting, but as soon as I have pulled the Cardstock's together I liked it!!!

So here is what I have done with the Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky and Ruby Red colors....

I have sponged the Whisper White CS with Soft Sky first. Then I have used my Pumpkin Pie and Ruby Red Marker's randomly on the stamp. I love to do this, because you never know what the end result is.....and I think you can't do wrong with any CC - LOL!!! I also love to add the Diamond Glitter on the blooms - love the *sparkles*!!!

Very simple to do and always a great card!!! Hope you like it to??? ~TFL~

BIC13 - Kind Thoughts

It's Tuesday again... - that means it's time for Beate's *Be Inspired* Challenge!!!

This time Beate has picked this very elegant Bedding. I instantly thought of my favorite Color Combo - Close to Cocoa , Soft Sky and Whisper White!!! Don't ya just loved those colors???

Of course I had to combined this with the "Kind Thoughts" Set -I'm always drawn to it - and I think it's also perfect for the Inspiration Piece because of it's pure elegance!!! Hope you like the pearls with it...I had to dress it up for the occasion - LOL!!!

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I have also pierced right below the sentiment. The Ribbon and the "Corsage Pin" are from Michael's.

Hope we have inspired you to play along?!?
I'm already off to take my daughter to her doctor's appointment...Have a great day!!! ~TFL~

Anyway - what a great day for Jennifer aka "lovetostamp6" to be chosen the Featured Stamper - great Mother's Day surprise!!!

Here is the card that I have chosen to case.

IC127 Happy Birthday

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far???

I had to get up early..... and I thought I'd make a card for the IC #127. The Inspirations Pieces are wonderful and I have picked one of these Luma Deck Stickers called *Serenity*.

It matches my Hero Arts "Silhouette Corner" stamp perfectly and of course I was inspired by the beautiful *purple* colors as well!!!

I used Orchid Opulence and Certainly Celery for my colors and I have added some small and medium Halfback Pearls to dress the image up. The Ribbon is from Michael's and I just love these *Spring* colors!!! The sentiment is from the "It's your Birthday" Set and the butterfly is from the "Always" set!!! Hope you like it???

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll catch you all later!!! ~TFL~

WSC47 Just Married

What a fun day - I get to play a little more...my Miriam is being a good girl!!!

I had a couple of minutes to make a card for Beate's Sketch Challenge #47!!!

I found this super cheap Wedding Stamp Set at the Target $1 Spot....they have some cool stuff there sometimes!!! I don't have so many Wedding Stamps and that one was very cute and the price was right - LOL!!!

I have stamped this image in Basic Black and cut it out with the oval Coluzzle. The scalloped oval was cut with the Nestabilitie. I also have used my Cuttlebug "Swirl" Folder for the center panel.
The card was dressed up with Halfback Pearls and a Black Sheer Ribbon - voila!!! ~TFL~

LSC167 Cherished Memories

For today's Limited Supply Challenge we were to use NO STAMPING!!!
No problemo - I love to use my stash of stuff that I usually don't use....like Rub On's....!!!
I have these Rub On's from SU called "Cherished Memories" and I have bought it mainly for scrap booking purposes, but I just never get to do it - LOL!!! What the heck I'm using it for today's card- LOL!!!
I have used Julee Tilman's MOJO Monday Sketch #31 for this layout....I also had to use one of my favorite Color Combo's - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White - love the *DRAMA*!!!
I have used my circle and scalloped circle Nestie's for the main image and to dress it up a bit more I have punched out the little circles and added some black Gemstones from Hero Arts.
Hope you like it and have a great "TGIF"!!!

Just in case You wanted to know!!!

Hello again!!! Jennifer had asked me "What kind of adhesive" I use for my Glitter???

I still use the 2 Way-Glue Pen for smaller projects, but for Chipboard's I use the new "TSUKINEKO" GLUE PAD!!! I' ve bought it at a LLS in Savannah - but they closed out...but I'm sure you can find it online or ask your LLS!!!

What I like about this Glue Pad is that I can just place my project (chipboard) on it and it will glue it evenly and anything sticks really good!!! It's not an absolute must have, but I'm glad I can use it once in a while...

Thanks for asking and I hope that helped???

WT165 Flower Chipboards

Hello everyone!!!

Did you get your "CHIPBOARD'S" out yet????
Hope you'll have time to play in today's "Way's to use it" Challenge #165?!?

I have so many Chipboard's that it was really fun to use them again!!!

For this card I have used the "On Board Blooms & Basics" from Stampin Up.

I love to "bedazzle" mine with Glitter and in this case I have used the Martha Stewart "Tourmaline" color that matches the Purely Pomegranate and for the center I have used "Silver" with a clear Rhinestone Brad!!!

I like to ink my Chipboard's first with the color of the Glitter I'll be using...that way if something will wear off it's not as noticeable!!!

Hope you like the card??? ~TFL~

Just in case You wanted to know!!!

I had someone ask me where to buy the "Boxer" Stamp from my friends Shirley's card.....so I had to go and ask my friend first!!!

The company is called "RUBBERHEDGEHOG" and they have all kinds of different doggy stamps...you can check them right here !!!

Hope you'll find something good....

Keep stopping by and I'm off to see what we can throw on the grill this evening!!!
Make sure to check my two new cards on the bottom that I have made for the Color Combo Challenge # 165 yesterday!!! Take care!!!

CC165 I just heard!

The Color Combo # 165 - Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Lovely Lilac - from yesterday was not that easy to put together.....

I had to try many times to come up with the right combination.... then I saw Taylor VanBruggen's Sketch #14 and then I had a plan....
I've used my "Remembering You" Set from the Simple Sent Kit and created three flowers with each of the colors required for the CC.
To create a softer Lovely Lilac touch - I have stamped the image on a scrap paper and then stamped it on the main image....I think it's not so dark that way!!!

The scalloped squares behind the flowers were punched out with the Marvy Punch. All the flower images were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The sparkly Ribbon is from Michael's and I have fastened it to the Antique Brass Label Holder. The sentiment is from the the "Absolutely Fabulous" Set. Hope you get a chance to try Taylor's fabulous Sketch too!!! ~TFL~

CC165 Congrats on your big news!

Here is another card I have made for the Color Combo Challenge #165.

I had to use my favortite "Wild About You" Set again and create another *Baby* card!!!

For this card I have used Jen del Muro's Sketch and I've started out with the White Cardstock .
Then I've cut two of the largest scalloped rectangle Nestie's and added them together to the size that I liked. From there I've started building the Certainly Celery layer and the main image.

The Ribbon is from the SU "Flirty" Collection and then I have added some large Halfback Pearls. The sentiment is from the "Absolutely Fabulous" Set!!! Hope you like it and ~TFL~!!!
