Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC66

Happy Tuesday!!!

Hope all you mom's had a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day??? Mine was relaxing and fun....we hung out at the pool Friday & Saturday. With temperatures in the low 90's it was the perfect place to be!!! Sunday the weather cooled off and we had a yummy cook out in the late afternoon.  We played some volleyball and snuggled up watching TV!!! Can't get any better than that :) !!!

Are you ready for another fun Flourishes Timeless Tuesday??? Maki is our host and she is challenging us to "PICTURE IT" !!! Now, a photo card is one way of looking at the challenge; however, you can venture off into other avenues as well. Think magazine pictures, real image designer papers, or take a picture of some of your favorite things and print it out. The photo does not have to be the focal point of the card, either. Think layered flowers, borders, tags, etc!!! There are also many photo techniques that can be used from altered photos, vellum pictures, and "faux cloisonne". Whichever photo option you take, we would love to see what you create with this challenge!

I decided to take a photo of a rose in my garden. Isn't it beautiful??? I printed the photo onto some Glossy CS using the print size 3" x 5". I trimmed it a little shorter and added it to my card. The layout for my card is from this weeks SFYTT Sketch

Here is my card.........

I used two different Flourishes Stamp Sets - the butterfly is from the Fanciful Flourishes and the sentiment is from the Gerber Daisies. I inked the butterfly image in Melon Mambo and the sentiment in Memento Black. I bedazzled the edges with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter. The DP in the background is from the Green at Heart BasicGrey Collection. I finished the card off with some White Lace Ribbon and three Large Silver Brads.

Now it's time to check out Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's take on this challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!!

At last I added the Silver Pearls, the Black Satin Ribbon and the Sparkly Flowers.

Just in case you started at my blog first....please go back and start at the ODBD Blog.....and if you are coming from Betty's blog then you are right on track!!!

My first card was created with the beautiful *With Deepest Sympathy* Set.

I used the layout from this past Saturday's SFYTT Sketch. I flipped it to fit the new image.

The image itself was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. I decorated the card with Large Copper Brads, a Jumbo Copper Eyelet and a Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon.

**********************************************

Next is a card was created with the new *With Heartfelt Sympathy* Set.

I used the *monochromatic* look from the OCCC this past weekend.

The colors are White and Soft Suede. I again added some Copper Hardware.

*******************************************

My last card is a CAS style........I used the new *Praying for You* Set.

As you can tell I only used White CS. The Bible Verse was inked in Basic Black and I raised it up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

I embossed the layered White CS with the Vine Label Folder from QuicKutz and added the Silver Pearls.

OCC Inspiration Challenge, IC192 Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

It's OCC time!!! Loretta has challenged us to use the posters from this wonderful artist Lowell Herrero as an inspiration!!!! You can find all his posters right HERE!!! Please stop by the OCC blog for all the details and all the Samples!!!

I actually chose this poster as my inspiration....I liked the colors and the basket in it!!! Which reminded me of the super cute PTI Set - Vintage Picnic. The Sketch is from this weeks SC240.

Here is a close up on the basket.....

Don't forget to stop by - Jennifer, Frances, Loretta, Jenny and Joycelyn's blog to see what poster they have chosen!!!

~Supply List~

Design Paper: Summer Picnic (SU)
Accessories: Silver Pearls, Brown Satin Ribbon, Marvy Circle Punch, Rectangle Spellbinder Die
Technique: Coloring with Markers

****************************************

My first attempt for the OCC card was actually this image right down below.....I couldn't decide which basket I should use and ended up trying a few different ones...somehow I always like to use this particular one...I guess because I only have to use one color on the basket - LOL!!!

Nevertheless - I turned it into a quick card that I could use for the *Thanksgiving* time. As you can tell I kept it very simple!!!

Here is my card for todays IC192 - Bellacor Vase.

This one was tough ......not only did it take me forever to chose a vase, but they didn't speak to me at all....I really had to warm up to them - LOL!!! It was a good challenge afterall....I did find a vase that I liked...you can see it right HERE.

I guess the multi-colors on the vase made it easy for me to choose the Happy Birthday Set from Our Daily Bread Designs!!! This time I based my colors on the *orange* in the vase!!! Just in case you missed my post this past Thursday...here is the link...I was telling you how fun it is to color this image :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC209, SFYTT Bloomin' Beautiful

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you all are ready for another fun Timeless Tuesday Challenge??? Today the super talented Kimberly Crawford is hosting this Challenge and she has created this beautiful Sketch for us!!!

If you own a Flourishes Set *flaunt* it and if not, play along anyway. You all can enter to win a prize just by participating!!! More details and all the Samples can be viewed on the Flourishes Blog!!!!

Here is my take on Kim's Sketch.

As you can tell I kept it very simple and focused on the centerpiece. I used the Flourishes Set *Thinking of You*.

The card base is White (PTI). Before I started with the main image I scored the top part in 1/4" intervals. Next I inked the floral image onto a Oval Nestie with Certainly Celery and Basic Black. It was then layered onto a Scalloped Oval Nestie using Certainly Celery CS. The matching Twill Ribbon is from the *Ribbon Bundle Duo* featured in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.
I decorated the centerpiece with some punched out Martha Stewart butterflies using Rose Red CS. At last I decorated the butterflies with some small Pearls (Michael's) and the Hat Pin (Michael's) using the Pearls from the Prettiest Kit.

Looking forward seeing your take on this fun Sketch!!! Please use *FTTC6* as your keyword on SCS.

Swing by my Flourishes friends - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson and Kimberly Crawford to see their cards close up.

**************************************************

Here is my card I made for the CC209 - Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Basic Black. I think it's another awesome round of colors!!!

I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT Sketch. Isn't it a great one??? The Stamp Set is *Bloomin' Beautiful*. The Rose was inked in Memento Black and colored with a Prisma Marker (PM-150) and Copic Marker (G94). The senitment was inked in Basic Black. I added a Brad from the Styled Silver Collection.

Just in case you can't tell I scored the Rose Red CS in 1/4" intervals to add a little bit of interest to the layout. If you like click on the photo for a close up.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!!!

FS98 Thank You

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

I was stalking Beth this evening to see if I'm lucky to play the Featured Stamper early.....and I was - wahooo!!!

Beth has chosen Paula Tracy as the #98 FS. I'm not familiar with Paula, but she has a fabulous gallery - my goodness she can color!!! Clean, elegant style - so glad we all get to meet her!!!

I have chosen to case this gorgeous card of hers. I really liked the the layout and it reminded me of the SFYTT Sketch I have seen over on Jen del Muro's blog today - this would be my first change to Paula's card. The next thing I changed are the colors. I used Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Basic Black.

The fab Stamp Set is my new *Thank You* Set from *Flourishes*. I inked it with Black Stazon and colored it with Copic Markers. Next I added the little Rose Red Ribbon in the center of the flower. To dress it up I added the Pearls instead of Gemstones. The circles were punched out with the 1 3/8" and the 1 1/4" Punches. The sentiment was also inked in Black Stazon and then punched out with the Key Tag Punch.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!! ~TFL~

Make sure you'll sign up for my *Blog Candy* right here!!! I'll be back in the afternoon to pick a Winner!!!

SFYTT Love Matters.....

Hey you all!!!

The weather down here in the South has gone wild - we had a beautiful 77 Fahrenheit yesterday....crazy - huh???

Needless to say - it was wonderful to open up my windows and enjoy the warm air.....my girls played outside the whole afternoon too!!!

By the time you read this post I'm off to Savannah for some shopping and luncheon with my In-Law's!!! They are celebrating their 28th Anniversary in a couple off days and since those two *love birds* have a special date on their big day - I thought I'll hang out with them prior....

I don't know about you, but I needed to take a little break from making x-mas cards....and thought I'd make something *pink* for a change - LOL!!!

This super cute Set *Love Matters* from almost 2 yrs ago fell into my hands when I was looking for something else...and believe it or not *Valentine* is right around the corner!!! I even saw some *Valentine* stuff in the stores already...crazy!!!

Anyway - for this card I followed Jen del Muro's Saturday Sketch SFYTT. I inked the image with Timber Brown Stazon and colored it with Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Regal Rose Markers.

The DP is from the *Loves Me* Collection. I used Whisper White, Regal Rose, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip CS for my card. The little flowers were punched out with the *Trio Flower* and *Spring Flower Bouquet*Punches. I also added some Silver Pearls to the flowers and on the right hand side of the card. At last I pierced right below the image.

Have a great day and I'll see ya later!!! ~TFL~

BIC29 Thank You and Joy to the World Sneak Peek

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

WOW - isn't this a gorgeous Bedroom Beate has chosen for today's BIC29???

It is so bright and the colors are soooo pretty!!! Wouldn't mind waking up in this room every morning - LOL!!!

Love all the different textures too - the Seagrass Sleigh Bed is totally up my alley!!!

One day - when my girls are all grown up and won't destroy everything....I might buy one - LOL!!!

Here is my take on the room.........

I took my inspiration from the gorgeous colors of the room - I used Whisper White, Kraft, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Basic Black.

I embossed the Kraft CS with the *Argyle* CB folder and tore it on top and side. I stamped the image from the *Eastern Blooms* in Kiwi Kiss. I repeated stamping the same image with Pacific Point and Pink Pirouette on a separate CS. Next I cut some of the flowers out and layered them randomly on top of my first stamped image. I actually found this idea in the new Catalog on page 9. Isn't it pretty???

The sentiment is from the *All Holidays* Set and I stamped it in Basic Black plus I pierced right below it. The image was layered onto Basic Black CS and I distressed around the edges. This panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

At the end I added some *Black Staples* from Making Memories, some small Silver Brads (Michaels) and the Pacific Point Ribbon.

Here is a *Sneak Peek* from the brand new Set *Joy to the World* from *Our Daily Bread Designs* - this Set and two other Set's will be available November, 1st - isn't this a beautiful nativity image???

I used the same color theme from the BIC29 on this card - Whisper White, Kraft, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point and Basic Black.

The layout is from Jen del Muro's SFYTT Sketch this past Saturday.

The panel on the left side was pierced with a brand new template that will be available at *OBDB*!!! The design I used is called *Marianne*. More details about this and other templates can be found on the ODBD site starting November!!!

Don't worry - I'll show off the other two Set's thru out this week!!!

Hope you will have a chance to play along???

Please don't forget to check out all the other ladies from Beate's DT -
Charmaine Ikach, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck and Susan Roberts.

BIC21 Bloom and CC182 Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I'm always looking forward to this day, because of the BIC and the CC.

Today's CC182 - is to create a *Monochromatic* card. I already had an image that I've colored with a light purple *Watercolor Pencil* and blended it with the Delta Blending and Shading Solution for the WT181.

The main image is from *Innovative Stamp Creations* Beautiful Flower Set and the only thing I have added was the Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Next I have stamped the sentiment from the *It's Your Birthday* Set with Orchid Opulence and added the beautiful purple 5/8" Ribbon from PTI. Voila!!!

*********************************************

Next I've created a card for the BIC#21.

Beate has chosen this beautiful Console Table from *Pottery Barn*.
I really like the colors and ran with that idea.
I've used Whisper White, So Saffron, Basic Black Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango.

I wish I would have had a *tulip* stamp....but I've settled for the *Blooming Beautiful* Set - I really love this Set.

For the layout I used Jen del Muro's Sketch.

My card measures 5" x 5". I started out with Whisper White and layered it according to the Sketch. The DP is from the Tangerine Tango Prints Pack. I matted the panels with Basic Black. The top panel was cut out with a circle Nestabilitie and embossed with the *Dotted* CB folder. Plus I have raised them with Stampin Dimensionals.

The main image was colored with some Prisma Markers and Copic Markers. Of course I had to add some mini Pearls to make the flowers look pretty....The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and I've pierced right below it. Hope you like it???
Please stop by the rest of Beate's Team and see every ones take on the BIC.....
Hope we have inspired you to play along?!? ~TFL~

WT180 Just a Note

Good Morning!!!

Today marks the 2nd day of *Little Paper Shop's* Sneak Peak Preview.

Julia has designed this beautiful *Tree Stamp* called*Chirp* - it has a lot of beautiful extras....All the *new* Set's will be available August, 26th!!!

I have used the Sketch from Jen del Muro to create my card plus the wonderful WT180 Challenge -All Torn up!!!

I have started out with a Very Vanilla base and added a Chocolate Chip CS. On top of this CS I have added the SU retired DP *Outlaw*. Next I have pierced around the edges and did some *Faux Stitching*.

The main image was inked up with Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip Ink and Markers. I have torn the Chocolate Chip CS to my liking before I have added the main image. The sentiment and the *Tree* image were raised with Stampin Dimensionals. Then I have added the Sage Shadow circle according to the Sketch and added some medium Copper Brads.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~!!!

If you have time please swing by all the other talented ladies.....

CC165 Congrats on your big news!

Here is another card I have made for the Color Combo Challenge #165.

I had to use my favortite "Wild About You" Set again and create another *Baby* card!!!

For this card I have used Jen del Muro's Sketch and I've started out with the White Cardstock .
Then I've cut two of the largest scalloped rectangle Nestie's and added them together to the size that I liked. From there I've started building the Certainly Celery layer and the main image.

The Ribbon is from the SU "Flirty" Collection and then I have added some large Halfback Pearls. The sentiment is from the "Absolutely Fabulous" Set!!! Hope you like it and ~TFL~!!!

SFYTT Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone!!! I had a later start today since my friend came over and we've played around a little bit with Chalk's - I have not used mine in a long time, so it was nice to explore a little bit......

I just wanted to show you all the card I have made for Jen del Muro's new Sketch.

I have used the new Afternoon Tea Designer Paper and cut them in three 1" panels and layered them on
1 1/4" Chocolate Chip CS.

The base of my card is Very Vanilla. I have placed
the panels on Stampin Dimensionals. Then I have stamped the sentiment from the retired "In My Thought's" Set in Chocolate Chip and also layered it on Chocolate Chip Cardstock.

The flowers are from the 5-Petals, the new Boho Blossoms and the retired Spring Bouquet
Flowers Punches. All of them were randomly put together and raised with Stampin Dimensionals. I dressed them up with small Halfback Pearls.

The finishing touch was adding the yummy CC Satin Ribbon and voila that's it!!! ~TFL~
