C4C50 meets Shabby Chic
Hope you're have some fun plans??? I'm taking my middle daughter to Savannah for some shopping. Rebecca grew quite a bit this summer..and her feet grew from a shoe size 5 to a 7 1/2....crazy huh??? Anyway, Savannah here we come!!!
Are you ready to ink up your stamps this weekend??? How about playing along for this week Crazy4Challenges ~ C4C50 ??? Frances is feeling groovy and she is challenging us to add some *MUSIC* to our creations!!! It could be a music related stamp, designer paper, embossing folders, punches etc..... whatever you wish.
Here is my idea...........
The design for my card was inspired by the IC photo over at the Shabby Tea Room. I also combined it with the SSCC#51 ~ create an *apology* or *words of encouragement* card. The layout is again form the TESC123.
The beautiful encouraging Bible Verse is from the Sing to the Lord Set from ODBD. The Music BG is from an old Stampabilities Stamp called ~ Composer's Dream. The colors I used are Kraft, Vintage Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. The Design Paper is from the SU Bella Blue Collection. I added some *Faux Stitching* and *distressed* the edges. The card was dressed up with the beautiful MS Butterfly Punch, some Cotton Lace Ribbon, some Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Button, Brown Scrapper's Floss and the Halfback Pearls.
Please make sure to check out the C4C Team for all their musical creations ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, Lynda, Maria, Silke K. and Vicki.
Have fun playing along and thank you for stopping by today!!! Hugs ~S~

TESC123, Curtain Call Act # 42 Love You Much
May I just say it is fabulous having some quiet stampin' time again :) !!! For today's card I combined the Curtain Call Act #42 Color Challenge and the TESC123 Sketch !!!
Here is my take on it.............
I used one of my favorite SU Sets called Branch Out. The sentiment is from the SU Family Phrases Set. The right hand side of the card was scored. Have you tried the new SU colors yet??? I really like them and it was fun to use them onto today's card!!! The BG DP is actually from my leftover stash....and it matched the Peach Parfait color perfectly. Have you noticed something??? I have NO Silver Pearls on my card...instead I added two Chocolate Kaiser Pearls :) !!!
Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by!!! Hugs ~S~

C4C41, TESC117 Best Wishes
How is your weekend so far??? Ours is steaming hot!!! I really like summer, but not when they forecast an heat index of a 105 F for today...yikes!!! Perfect time to get caught up on all the laundry and cleaning before we are heading out of town next week!!!
I took a little break this afternoon and found two new challenges I wanted to participate in....first is the C4C41 ~ using light Pink, light Purple and light Green. The second one is this weeks TESC117 Sketch. It just so happens that it is Taylor Van Bruggen's birthday and I wanted to send her some birthday wishes!!! Happy Birthday Taylor...hope you are having a fabulous day!!! I also added Buttons to my card for the CAS-tastic CWC007 Challenge.
I still had the SU *Awash with Flowers* Set on my desk from the other day and figured I'll just use it again :) today!!! The sentiment is from the PTI Fillable Frames #4 Set. My flowers were inked in Memento Black and the leaves were colored with the Copic Marker G24. The inside of the flower heads were inked in Pretty in Pink and Lavender Lace. The Green CS was embossed with the new PTI Linen & Canvas Impression Plate. I added some Pretty in Pink Ribbon and finished it off with some matching PTI Buttons. The punched out border was created with the Scallop Border Punch. I also scored some lines on the bottom....voila!!!
Stay cool and enjoy your day!!! Hugs ~S~

TESC107, CQC27, OCCC I'm Sorry....
I had the TESC107 Sketch on my mind all week, but wasn't sure what colors to use until I found the CQC27 - using Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise and Soft Suede.
I incorporated the OCC Challenge - Break out the Buttons as well, since it works perfectly with the Sketch :).
Please click to see it larger...I have a hard time with cards that are sideways :(
I was trying so hard not to buy these super duper cute Pure Innocence girls, but couldn't resist any longer...LOL!!! This one is called Flower Girl. Isn't she adorable???
The DP is from the Tangerine Tango Pattern Design Collection. The image was inked in Memento Black and I colored most of the image with Copic Markers except the hair. I used a Blender Pen and colored it with Soft Suede color. The background was sponged with Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery...I think I found a new passion...LOL!!!
The Buttons are a combo of SU and PTI Collections. I tied them with some White Scrap Floss in the center. To stick them to the card I used some Jumbo Glue Dots...they work magically!!!
Thank you for stopping by tonight...have a wonderful evening!!!

We had a fabulous day at the beach yesterday.....oh how I love Tybee Island!!! The weather was perfect and the ocean was still a little nippy!!! We took a long stroll along the water and found ourselves some awesome sea shells, a sand dollar and my Rebecca found a sharks tooth...how cool is that??? It suppose to be in the upper 80's to low 90's on Friday I might have to take the girls again...can't think of a better place to be then at the beach during spring break :) !!!
Oh and if you want to see more of Tybee go and watch the new Miley Cyrus movie *The Last Song* it was filmed on Tybee Island!!!
Couldn't help myself to show off some fun pictures we took :) .....
Some college kids made this awesome sand castle...it was a piece of *Art*!!! They really did a tremendous job with it!!! They added so much details... I couldn't even capture it one photo, but thought I'd show you the overall idea!!!
Hope you liked the photos too???
I also have a card for you......this was my idea for the TESC106 Sketch.

Here is my take on it....... please click on the photo to see it closer - I had a few technical difficulties making this photo larger :(

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday
Our weekend was fun and exhausting...!!! I ate way tooooo much and had no exercise at all!!! Talking about being a couch potato - LOL!!!
I'm so glad Spring Break is over and the girls are back in school. I need some serious *me* time - KWIM??? I'll share some photos of the girls with you this week.....I just have to get caught up on a couple things first...!!!
Today is another round of the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!! Our host is the fabulous Becca Feeken and she is challenging us with some *PIERCING* on our cards!!! I don't know about you, but I love adding piercing to my creations - it always adds a nice detail!!!! Make sure to stop by the Flourishes Blog to view all the Samples and to find out how to win a prize for playing along!!!

The card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I followed the TECC63 Sketch. I started out by piercing my sides with this Ornare Vellum Stencil Border template.
Next I inked the newly released Flourishes Set - Sweet Violets with Memento Black and colored it with my Copic Markers - V15, V17, G28, G94. I actually inked the image twice, cutting out different leaves and flower heads and then I raised them up - you can see it better on the second photo. Once I was done coloring I added some Candle Light Sh
immerz onto the entire image. The DP is from Deja Views - Fresh Print Plum Collection. The double Satin Plum Ribbon is from Martha Stewart. The button is from PTI.
Hope you'll play along??? Please use the keyword FTTC11 to download on SCS!!!

FS114 Soft Summer
Hope you get to enjoy this wonderful day with friends and family?!?
I made this card for the FS114 - Inge. Her gallery is filled with fun and beautiful cards. I chose to case this one.
I changed the layout to the TECC62 (very similar layouts). I used a different Set - Soft Summer from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I also changed the colors - Textured Apricot Appeal, White and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit - Special Delivery Girl.
I added some piercing around the card. The image itself was inked in Chocolate Chip. The inside of the flower was colored with Groovy Guava using a Blender Pen. I also gave it some sparkle with the Candle Light Shimmerz. At last I added the Kaiser Chocolate Pearls I bought at Stamper's Dream. Saturday, March 21, 2009
OCC May God Bless you...., IC172, TECC60, LSC212, SDDC6 Mother's Day Card
This Saturday Kim has created an awesome *Sketch* for us to try. For all the Samples and to see *who* our Guest is please stop by the OCC Blog.
Here is my take on it.
This beautiful *Special Blessing* Set was also one of my *must have* items from the SU Catalog. The Old Olive DP is from the *Walk in the Park* Collection that is featured in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and it will be available April 1st. I used the Oval Spellbinder Nestie's to create the focal image and the Tag Nestie for the sentiment. I tied the tag with a Satin Ribbon. And what can I say - I'm addicted to those fab Silver Pears - LOL!!! The little flower by the cross was punched out with the Trio Flower Punch.
Now it's your turn to show us what you can created with this beautiful Sketch!!! For more inspiration please visit the rest of the OCC ladies - Cindy, Jennifer, Lori, Kim, Vicki, Frances, Robin, Loretta and Jenny. **********************************************
Here is my card for the IC172 - I chose this super cute little dress. As well as the TECC60, LSC212 and Stamper's Dream *SDDC6* - casing a Design Team Member.
I decided to case by BFF Denise - I chose this super cute card of hers. I like how Denise used the *recess window* on her card. That's what inspired me to use my Bigz Top Note Die and the Oval Nestie to create the recess window on my card.
Next, I used a different layout - the TECC60. I changed the colors - here is where the Inspiration Piece comes in - not only does this dress remind me of a beautiful summer, but I really like the colors - I used - Pretty in Pink, White, Rose Red, Certainly Celery - I added on top ot them - Yoyo Yellow, Plum Pudding and Lavender Lace.
At last I chanced the main image from a swing to flowers - here is where the LSC212 comes into play - using flowers on my main image plus the colors from the Soft Subtlet Collection (Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Lavender Lace) . The Stamp Set is from the new Papertrey Ink March Release called *Life* - isn't it fab??? The sentiment is from the PTI *Women of Life* Set
. I couldn't resist adding some Dazzling Diamond Glitter onto the flowers....plus the white and purple flower with the Filigree & Rhinestone Brad.
Anyway -hope that wasn't toooooo confusing - LOL?!? But now you know how this card came about.....I will be mailing this card to my mom for *Mother's Day*- since she lives in Germany - I had to plan ahead.... - hope she will like it?!?
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

LSC218 My first Sarah Kay image, There She Goes Dollar Find Friday....
If you are looking for my LSC210 card please go down a bit further.
Today is my turn to host the *There She Goes* Dollar Find!!! Jessica started this fun little idea a while back. She started transforming items that she had bought fairly cheap into awesome little projects and cards!!! HERE is the link to all the items that Jessica and the TSG DT has transformed so far!!!
I really liked the *Clear Container* and I figured it would make a really nice *Gift Card* Box. So I ran with that idea!!!
Next I decorated the outside of the box by adding the Tangerine Tango CS. The color choice was inspired by the *Stamper's Dream* Challenge I saw the other day - you can view it right here. The theme was to create a *monochromatic* card, once you go down a bit you will see the matching cards I have created and where my inspiration really kicked in - LOL!!! On this outside sheet I randomly inked the flowers from the *Flowers of Happiness* with Versamark and embossed them with White EP.
Then I created a scalloped band and a centerpiece for the top.

Here are the matching cards I designed for the *Gift Card* Box. Once I had my color idea going I had to choose a fairly easy design, so I went back in my gallery and found this layout. I continued with the *Flowers of Happiness* Set, but chose a different flower on each CS.

I hope I have inspired you to transform inexpensive stuff too!!! Keep your eyes open when you go to Target or the Dollar Store and have fun transforming your found treasures!!! ~TFL~Now to the fun part - DO YOU WANT TO WIN MY *GIFT BOX*???
Leave me a comment on this post and I will select a *WINNER* this Sunday evening!!! US, APO and Canadian Addresses ONLY please!!!
****************************************
Here is my card I made for the LSC210 - to create a card less than 30 minutes - ohhh this was so up my alley - LOL!!!
I chose the TECC57 Sketch - which didn't require much layering. The image that was given to me by my friend Michelle - thank you Michelle!!! It's the super cute Sarah Kay image *Country Girl* from Stampavie . This is my very first Sarah Kay image and it was so fun to color. I used several different Copic and Prisma Markers. The sentiment is from the new SU *Really Retro* Set inked in Basic Black. To finish it off I added the fab little Kaiser Chocolate Pearls and the yummy Satin Chocolate Ribbon. Voila!!!Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!!!

TSG Project and TECC45

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!I had to give Taylor VanBruggen's Sketch TECC #45 a try!!!
I used the beautiful *Lovely as a Tree* Set. I think it's so timeless and if you haven't added it to your list yet, you better hurry - no one knows how much longer it's gonna be around - LOL???
I inked the tree image in Always Artichoke and the stem in Chocolate Chip. I bedazzled the tree and the oval Nestie frame with DD Glitter. The gorgeous Ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. My buddy Denise aka *peanutebee* gave it to me for my birthday!!! Thanks Denise!!!
The DP is from last years *Wintergreen* Collection. I combined it with the Soft Sky CS and as you can see I scored the upper part of it. The Medium Gold Brads are from Making Memories. Voila!!!
Most of you know that we moved my craft room and it's unbelievable what you can find in the process - LOL!!! I found those super cute *Peppermint* Brads from *Just Brads* in one of my containers and I knew immediately that I have to use it on one of my *There She Goes* projects.Jessica just came out with these super cute *Burlap Bags* and what better way to show it all off with the *Tea for Two Special Blend* Set!!!
