WSC93 meets ODBD and a new SU Sneak Peek

Hello everyone!!!

I have two cards to share with you today....one was a missed approach on the WSC93 Sketch - yep, it also happens to me....I somehow got sidetracked...LOL..... and the second one is another sneak peek from the new SU Holiday Mini Catalog using the same Sketch!!! These new items will be available starting September 1st!!!

My first card is for Our Daily Bread Designs using the sentiment from the Jesus Set.

I dressed the card up with the Flourishes Blue Awning Rub-On I found at Michael's not to long ago.

I don't know if you can tell but I scored some lines close to the bottom of the card and added some more matching Rhinestones in between.

The sentiment was inked in Old Olive and then layered onto the matching CS. Both circles were cut out with the Spellbinder Dies.

The Ribbon is from the PTI Enchanted Evening Collection.

LSC167 Cherished Memories

For today's Limited Supply Challenge we were to use NO STAMPING!!!
No problemo - I love to use my stash of stuff that I usually don't use....like Rub On's....!!!
I have these Rub On's from SU called "Cherished Memories" and I have bought it mainly for scrap booking purposes, but I just never get to do it - LOL!!! What the heck I'm using it for today's card- LOL!!!
I have used Julee Tilman's MOJO Monday Sketch #31 for this layout....I also had to use one of my favorite Color Combo's - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White - love the *DRAMA*!!!
I have used my circle and scalloped circle Nestie's for the main image and to dress it up a bit more I have punched out the little circles and added some black Gemstones from Hero Arts.
Hope you like it and have a great "TGIF"!!!

IC122 - WSC42 Celebrate

Here is a card for all you pink and brown lovers out there!!!

We went to Beaufort, SC today and enjoyed some lunch with our In-Law's/Grandparents. If you have been there you know how wonderful this little Southern Town is....not only that, but they have a great Local Scrap Store that carries my *Hero Arts* products plus the latest DP...!!!

I had to combined two challenges since I never have enough time on the weekend to make multiple card plus it's getting late already.....

The layout comes from Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #42. The colors are from the Inspiration Challenge #122.

I have been inspired by the flower and the colors from the *girl* room inspiration picture. The *boy* room picture inspired me with the brown Hardwood Floors and the brown Bed frame.....

Here is what I have used....I bought this fabulous DP from BasicGrey*Infuse*Collection and layered it on the right hand side. I've topped it with Rose Red CS and place these gorgeous flowers from Making Memories on it. I've punched out a 3/4" Chocolate Chip Circle and centered it on the flower with a Halfback Pearl from the Pretties Kit.

Then I've punched out three 1/4" Chocolate Chip circles and placed them on the top right hand side and attached some small Halfback Pearls.

To finish it off I have used the new Chocolate Chip Poly Twill Ribbon from the Occasion's Mini
and attached the small oval punch with the CC sentiment from the SAB Love and Happiness Rub Ons.

Hope you like it???? ~TFL~

ssnotime29 - Thinking of You

Can you believe it's Friday again...???
That means it's time for what??? YEAHHH - Beate's and Sharon's fun, fun Challenges!!!

I was up early and saw that Sharon listed hers already and I love it - we have to use at least three panels - since I didn't play the last couple times I really wanted to play today.....

I already had an idea which includes the color combo Mrs. Engle has chosen from the Summer Picnic DP and I must agree they are fabulous - Old Olive, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue!!!

I managed to qualify this card for three challenges...
WT160, LSC161 and ssnotime29 - how cool is that -LOL???

This card measures 5" x 5" - are you surprised - I used it again - LOL!!!

I started out with Whisper White. Then layered a
4 1/2"x 4 1/2" Bashful Blue CS and another White CS that measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". The little colored Cardstock Squares measure 2" x 2".

I used the large Old Olive flower from the SAB "Love and Happiness" Rub Ons. In the center of the flower I have placed a clear Button and a red button both are from SU and in between I have punched out a Bashful Blue 3/4" circle. The image was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.
I also have used my "Oh why, oh why" white Brads from last weeks LSC challenge.....

Hope you'll have a chance to play one of the challenges...I'm already thinking of Beate's so if you have time stop by again soon and hey maybe I have picked your favorite colors!!! ~TFL~

WT160 - Rub Ons

I'm so glad today's "Way to Use it" challenge #160
involves "Rub Ons" - have a couple of those too...

Juanita picked this color combo - Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Barley Banana and Whisper White.

  • Very nice colors - I can see why she likes them....very soft and the brown gives it enough punch - Thank you Juanita!!!
The card measures 5" x 5". Have you noticed I like this size???

The Rub Ons are from the SAB Set "Love and Happiness" and I like that they came in different colors - hope you had a chance to get them too?!?

  • For this card I have used the large Chocolate chip flower from this set.
When I use my Rub Ons I try to trim around the image I'd like to use... that way I don't mess up the other ones...learned my lesson the hard way - LOL!!!

Hope you have a change to play today too...~TFL~
