I have the pleasure of showing off the Japanese Washi Making Tape Trio - Expresso Cafe Mocha...sound yummy doesn't it??? It was really quick and easy to add the tape to my card.....so I made a second one.

Both of the cards were inked in SU Early Espresso. Both sentiments are from the ODBD With Deepest Sympathy Set. I added some Brown Pearls on both cards and on the last card I added some Flowers...voila!!!

Both of my layouts were inspired by this weeks Clean & Simple Sketch #201......

Hope you have a chance to play along and good luck on winning! I'll be back on Tuesday!!!

Clean & Simple 100th Sketch Challenge!!!

Happy TGIF everyone!!!

I'm so thrilled to show off my card for the 100th Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge!!! Natasha was so sweet and invited me to this aweome event and I hope you have time to celebrate with us!?! Lots of fabulous stampers have made samples too and you can find all the links on the bottom of my post!!!

Here is the *Celebration* Sketch....

and here is my take on it.....

I used the colors from the CC280 ~ Regal Rose, Old Olive and Peach Parfait. The Dessert Option was to *pop it up* and I used that idea as well!!! Couldn't help myself...I had to add a few more Dirty Girl Challenges as well....the first one is for the DTGD10cindy_haffner ~ using Dies and Punches, the butterfly idea is from the DTGD10flowergal36 and the scoring fits the DTGD10AmberDawn01 Challenge.

I hope you don't get tired of me using the fab PTI Butterfly Dreams Set?!? I just love this this Set :) ....the leaf image is also from a PTI Set called Turning a New Leaf. The butterflies were inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R000, R00, R32, YR01, YR02. I added a few Silver Pearls in each center. The border was created with the Large Scallop Die also from PTI. The card was finished off with some piercing, some Black/White Gingham Ribbon, matching Button and some Black Scrapper's Floss. Oh yeah.....did you noticed my little punched topper??? I saw this idea on a few blogs now, but always loved how my blogging buddy Dawn Burnworth uses it!!! The border I used is from the SU Scallop Trim Punch!!!

Okay guys...now it's time to check out all the other ladies that made a special card for the event!!!.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC71 and FS175!!!

Happy Tuesday friends!!!

We are heading out of town tomorrow and boy did I try to get some stampin' in before we leave!!!

My first card is for today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC71 Challenge!!! Our host is Cindy Haffner and she is challenging us to *EMBOSSING*. There are a lot of different types of embossing options to choose from, such as heat, stencil, plates, folders, scoring, textured die cuts, and more. In addition, there are many different techniques to combined with embossing. You can also use anything from vellum, clear cardstock, or other textures for your embossed projects. We would love to see what you all create!!!

This is the card I made last week already, when I confused the challenges...oops!!! I used the fab layout from last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch # 72 ( I flipped it)!!! The super gorgeous blossom and sentiment is from the Cherry Blossoms Set. I inked both in Versamark and heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder. I colored the blossom with various Copic MarkersR000, R00, Y15, G24 and Colorless Blender. The white panel was dry embossed with the Linen & Canvas Impression Template. The So Saffron DP was also dryembossed with the Elegant Bouquet Folder. I finished the card off with some Black/White Checker Ribbon and some Silver Pearls!!!

Please make sure to check out  Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog for their ideas!!!

**************************************

My second card is for this weeks CAS71 ~ Things That Fly and this weeks FS175 - LeAnne Pugliese. Congrats LeAnne...your gallery and blog are filled with so many gorgeous creations and I chose to case this CAS card. I switched the layout to this weeks Sweet Sweet Sunday Sketch #73.

I changed the image to the fabulous newly released Humming Along Set....isn't it fabulous!?! The colors were changed to Green and Red. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R27, R29, R000, YR91, Y17, B35, G00, G21, G24 and Colorless Blender. I added some scoring to the Green CS, a double tied Red/White Checker Ribbon and some Silver Pearl on the side.

Thank you so much for swinging by today!!! I'll see you again next week when it's my turn to host the FTTC!!!

I have my awesome new i-Pad with me...so I don't miss your fabbo creations!!! Have fun playing!!!

CTD95, FTL91 Thank You and Curtain Call #32 Thank You

Happy TGIF!!!

I finally had some *me* time. I made two cards...wahooo!!! Not much, but better than none :) !!!

I thought being on summer break would slow things down, but so far, we have been super busy...deep cleaning our house, we watched the new *Shrek the Final Chapter* movie yesterday, hanging out with friends. Poor little Mimi came down with an ear infection and needed some extra attention not to mention my fun night out with hubby!!! Next week my two little ones are starting VBS and I hope I get to have some more *me* time :) !!!

Anyway, my first card is for the CTD95 - using Pink Passion, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black. The layout is from this weeks FTL95 Sketch.

I used the PTI Turning A New Leaf Set. The sentiment is from the PTI Giga Guide Lines Set. The flowers were punched out with the SU Boho Blossom Punch. I decorated them with some Silver Pearls.
To finish the card off I added the two Buttons on the side and pierced around the card base edges.

***************************************

My second card is for the Curtain Call# 32 using ~ Regal Rose, Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal and Rose Red.

The sentiment is again from the Giga Guide Lines Set and the main image is from the Dot Spot Set. I added an accordion ribbon treatment. I followed the tutorial Renee Van Stralen has on her blog. I definitely have to practice some more...LOL...but I really like the look of it :) !!! This square card measures 5" x 5".

Okay guys...that's it from me...have a fabulous weekend!!! Hugs ~S~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC67

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

It's time again for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC67!!! Betty is our host and she is challenging us to use any kind of *CHIPBOARD* to your card/project!!! You can use some already decorated chipboard or find some "bare" chipboard and dress it up! You can make tags, embellishments, or stamp your focal image directly to the stuff! Whether you are painting it up, cutting it out, or using some already pre-cut and decorated chipboard, we would love to see what you create using chipboard!!!

Here is my idea.....

I went thru my stash of old chipboards that I have hoarded for years and found these two Large Tag Chipboards. My idea for this bag and card combo came from this weeks CAS67 ~ Shabby Chic.

I added some Very Vanilla CS and stamped the super gorgeous new Cherry Blossom image on it. The edges of the VV CS were distressed plus ink distressed. The tags were finished off with some Green Checker Ribbon, Pink Buttons, some Brown Scrap Floss plus some Black Pearls.

Did you all see the gorgeous new Flourishes Release this past week??? It was definitely WOW...I loved all the sneak peek cards the Senior Design Team has created!!! Since I haven't had a *BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY* in a while I figured I surprise you and let one winner chose one of the new Release Sets!!!
All you have to do is leave me a comment!!! I'll pick a winner this coming Friday, May 21 about
8:00 PM EST!!!

Please make sure to stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog for more chipboard gorgeousness!!!

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. The DP is from the BasicGrey Nook & Pantry Collection. The Flower Border Punch is from Martha Stewart and I added some Small Silver Pearls to the center of the flowers. The BG was embossed with the QuickKutz Striped Label Folder.

For my sweet little Nugget treats I added a stripe of  1" x 3 1/4" White CS and added a Black/White Checker Ribbon. I finished them off by adding a small punched out Flowers and Silver Pearls.

Stamper's Dream...JustRite and Northwood

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Did you all play Betty's awesome CC258 yesterday??? Well... I really loved this color combo and I had to make two more cards :)

For my first card I used the beautiful JustRite image from the Plant a Little Love Borders & Centers. It's back in the Stamper's Dream Store...just in case you've been waiting for it!!!

I inked the flower image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers.

The corners on the bottom of my card were punched with a Corner Rounder. I don't recall what brand the DP is from...I found it in my leftover stash...sorry. I dressed the card up with some Lace Ribbon, some Soft Suede Dotted Ribbon that I flipped around. I added some Silver Pearls on top and some punched out Scallop Trim Borders on the DP edges.

****************************************

My second card was inspired once again by the CAS54 - Wishing for Spring. The layout is from this weeks MMSC41 Sketch.

Easter is only a few weeks away and I thought I'd start working on some of my *Easter* cards. This sweet image is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps called Bunny with Tulips. Isn't it cute???

I inked this image with Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers.

The image was layered onto another White CS and I pierced right around it. My BG colors are So Saffron and the Green DP is from the KaiserCraft called Lilac Avenue Collection. The card was dressed up with some Ribbon, some Small and Large Silver Pearls.

Hope you like my *Spring* cards :) !?!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see ya soon!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC54!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Did you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day??? We sure did...we were again total slackers..!!! We enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics!!! We are always blown away by all these amazing athletes!!!  On Saturday afternoon our middle daughter Rebecca played in the *Championship* game for her age group, but unfortunately they lost by 3 points...!!! It was a really good game...and we are extremely proud for making second place!!!  Of course we had to celebrate with some yummy ice cream - LOL!!!

Okay...moving on to today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC54!!! Dee Jackson is our host and she is challenging us to an "All About Me" theme. Use what you love and what makes you happy!! Use your favorite colors, stamps, layout, and embellishments! Whatever ROCKS your world! We would love to see what you create!!!

Did I ever mention that my main reason getting into stampin' was to create personalized presents...treat bags, boxes etc.??? Well over the last few months I've been trying to get back to my original idea...!!! I have bought plenty of dies and templates to create my projects!!! A few other things that make me happy are - a great Stamp Set, the color purple, my fav Silver Pearls (hopelessly addicted - LOL) and a good Sketch!!!

Here is my take on the challenge....

I used the beautiful newly released From the Garden Set. My idea for this Set came from this weeks CAS54 - Wishing for Spring!!! The Sketch is from last weeks Mojo125....I tweaked it a little bit. I just saw that my card also fits this weeks CC258 - Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Soft Suede.

The flower images and sentiments were inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Marker Collections - LilacMeadow plus YG91.

For my little gift box I used the Fancy Favor Sizzix Bigz Die. I decorated it with the same Lilac Avenue DP and the same Plum Pudding Ribbon as the card. On the sides I punched holes and attached some Large Silver Eyelets to hold the Ribbon better. For the inside I added some purple Gift Tissue and some packages of  Flower Seeds...voila!!!

Please make sure to stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog to see their take on the Challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!!

I actually made this card for the CAS48 - Happy Valentine Challenge and the layout was inspired by this weeks awesome MMSC35 Sketch.

As you can tell my card is pretty straight forward....the senitment was created with the JustRite Times Roman Font Set. The image was inked in Memento Black and I colored it with several different Copic Markers. I embossed the Real Red CS with the Heart Block Cuttlebug Folder. I finished the card off by adding the Red Scrap Floss, the Pink Flower and the Red Gemstones.

Hope you like it???

Happy Day!!!!

It sure was a busy one.....I had a dermatologist appointment, I finally did some Christmas shopping for the girls teachers, bus driver etc. plus I've been by myself with the girls.... Jerry went on a business trip and thank goodness he is coming home tonight *wink*!!!

Anyway - I was browsing the web the other day and I came across this super cute TLC248 - Stocking Gift Card Holder Challenge. Since I haven't made a *stocking* yet...I thought this would be a perfect little gift idea for my oldest daughter Sarah. It was so easy to make - you should try one too!!! I also combined this stocking with this weeks C4C14 Challenge - Create a Gift Card Holder.

After printing out the template I decorated the stocking with DP, Faux Piercing, Ribbon, Leaves, a Button. Next I added *Sarah's* personalized name tag plus the sentiment inside of the *Gift Card Holder*. I used the beautiful JustRite - Curlz Complete Font Set to complete this whole card. At last I distressed all the edges with the Ranger Tea Dye Ink.

What do you think...isn't it cute???

*************************************

Here is another fun card I made. It's for this weeks Mojo116 Sketch and for the CAS44 - Red & Brown.
