OCC Sketch meets IC182 and TSG Sneak Peek Blog Hop!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Today is a long post.....the OCC is featuring a Sketch Challenge!!! I took the opportunity to combine this Sketch to showcase the There She Goes Sneak Peek and the IC182 - Book Covers!!!
For all the Samples the OCC ladies have created please check out the OCC Blog!!! Hope you will play along??? Jennifer is giving some more goodies away!!! Plus we have another Guest Designer!!!

There She Goes is releasing two new Set's tomorrow...we'll showcase them both today!!! This first Set is called Act of Kindness !!!

I waited till the last minute to create this card, because I really wanted to play the IC182 and I figured it would help me decide which route to go on my card.....well I was darn lucky, because Stef has chosen some awesome book covers for the inspiration pieces...and when I saw this book *Breakfast at Tiffany's* I knew what to do.....!!! The colors go perfectly with the There She Goes Color Challenge - using Black, White plus one other color of your choice!!! Swing on over to Jessica's blog to find out all the details and on how you can play along!!!

If you follow my blog you know that my favorite color combo is - Black, White and Red. Wahooo - I chose Red as my third color!!!

I started with a Real Red card base and layered it with a White CS. The corners of the White CS were punched with an EK Success Corner Adorner Punch.

I stamped the tree image in Basic Black. I added on some leaves to the tree from the same Set. Next I inked the flowers in Real Red and cut them out. I added some Stampin Dimensionals to raised them up . Then I decorated them with my favorite Silver Pearls.

I also decorated the inside of my card. I cut another smaller White CS and punched out the corners. Next I inked the smaller floral image in each corner and the sentiment in the center.

To finish the Sketch off I added the three Real Red panels in the center and also decorated them with Silver Pearls.

****************************************

On to the next Sneak Peek......

This Set is called Rejuvenate!!! It's a perfect girly girl Set!!!

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I inked the image with Memento Black and colored it with Copic & Prisma Markers - E00, B34, R27, PM-132 and PM-208.

For the the *bubble bath* I added some Angel Wings Shimmerz - it gives it a super awesome shine :).

Next I trimmed the image and layered it onto White CS. For the BG panels I used Real Red and So Saffron CS.

To finish the card up I added some 1/2" Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and some Silver Pearls.

Okay everyone.... now to the fun part - do you want to win these Set's??? Comment on all of the Trendsetters Blogs on their Sneak Peek post. When you are done go to Jessica's blog and add your name to the Mister Linky. You do not have to have a blog to play along, you can also use the URL of your favorite online craft gallery!!!

Since I'm last in the blog hop line I want to make sure you have seen all the awesome cards my team members have created!!!

Hop on over to - Jessica, Becky, Christi, Faith, Holly, Jessie, Joanne, Jodi, Julie, Krystie and Makiko.

Have a fabulous weekend and I hope you get a chance to play all the Challenges??? ~TFL~

Blog Award

Hey you all!!!

I took a few days off.....I really needed to clean up my stamp room and prepare for the upcoming There She Goes Sneak Peek this Saturday!!! Plus the girls have their last few days at school and we are hopping from one party to the next!!!

Since I don't have a card for you all I wanted to share this wonderful Blog Award I received from Diane Stader - also known as *lost in the 60's* over on SCS.

"The Exalting Christ Blog Award" is given to bloggers who consistently exalt the name of Christ on their blogs. What a joy to see crafters blend their passion for Christ and paper crafting. This award is given to bloggers who share Christ through their posts or through the design of their artwork. We are commanded in Scripture to be ’salt and light’ sharing the Good News of Jesus no matter where we are (Matthew 5:13-16). This award is just a way members of Women to Women: Sharing Jesus can say thanks for exalting Christ with us!" We are asked to "pass it on" to others who share our passion for Christ.

I'm awarding this badge to

1. Sabrina Jackson
2. Connie McCotter
3. Amy Sheffer
4. Tosha Leyendekker
5. Cindy Motherway

Here are the Rules:

Post the blog award in a regular post on your blog with the explanation, including the original link to WTW and the rules for passing the award along
1. Name five people to whom you want to offer this award and link to their blogs. The blogs need to obviously exalt Christ in some manner.
2. Contact the bloggers you have named to let them know they can pick up their blog award from you.
3. Invite them to permanently display the WTW blog badge and/or the award on their blogs. The badge can be obtained on the WTW site."

Thank you Diane for thinking of me!!!! Ladies I hope you'll play along???

Hey everyone!!!

Today is another fun Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!! This week we are introducing our first Flourishes Guest Challenge Host Connie McCotter!!!

Thanks so much Connie for hosting this week!!! Connie is challenging us to *sponging*. Sponge coloring, sponge distressing, sponge shading, and sponge stenciling to name a few are some of the hottest techniques in stamping. So, grab you ink pad and sponges and add a little sponging to your card. We can't wait to see what you'll create!!!

I basically got carried away with my sponging project - LOL!!! I used the image from the Flourishes Set - Swing Set!!!

I inked the image in Memento Black and started sponging the clouds around it with the Baja Breeze Ink. For the inside of the tree I used Kiwi Kiss. The tree branch, the girl and the flowers were colored with Copic Markers - E47, RV19, and R08.

The CS in the BG is Raspberry Fizz from PTI - I scored it in 1/8" intervals. Next I decorated the card with the matching Ribbon and some Silver Pearls!!!

Hope you'll play along?!? Please use *FTTC17* as your keyword to download your creations over on SCS!!!

The Bashful Blue DP from the SAB Delicate Dots Collection. The So Saffron Ribbon was also from the SAB Ribbon Bundle. I hope SU will bring it into the new Catalog :) ??? Oh - I'm so counting the days for the new Catalog - how about you???

I'm sad.....

Hey you all???

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far??? Ours was good I guess....until we received the sad news that our friend and neighbor died in the early morning hours.

Benjie was suffering from a brain tumor many years ago and thank goodness for almost 5 years he was doing good until he started having trouble about 6 months ago.....He just went thru some intensive radiation the last 5 weeks and was suppose to come home this weekend, but things didn't go as planned - God took our friend Benjie home and made the suffering go away!!!

If you can find it in your heart please pray for this family as they see thru this difficult time!!!

Thank you

OCC Challenge, SC229 Nature of Friendship !!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Today's OCC Challenge is about adding a *sentiment* as your main focal point. For all the Samples and on how to play along please visit the OCC Blog.

For my card I used the beautiful Our Daily Bread Designes Set - *I am the Way*.

The DP is from Making Handmade Card. The fab matching Satin Ribbon is from Flourishes. I finally had a change to use some of my Square Green Rhinestone Brads I have bought two years ago :) - I know sad story... LOL!!!

Have fun playing and don't forget to stop by Cindy, Jennifer, Lori Boyd, Frances, Loretta, Jenny and Joycelyn.

*************************************

I had to stamp some more - I needed some serious *therapy* - LOL!!!!

I didn't get the chance to play the SC229 on Wednesday, but once I saw the Sketch I knew it would work with my card for the There She Goes - Week in Review Giveaway that Jessica is hosting every Sunday on her blog. Watch out for the post tomorrow!!!

Again I made the sentiment my focal point and this time I used the There She Goes Set - Nature of Friendship.

How do you like this color combo??? It's so fun and bright - I love it :)
The DP is from the SU Designer Paper - Rainbow Sherbert. I used the matching Gable Green , Green Galore and Whisper White CS plus a splash of Only Orange .

The Gable Green CS was embossed with the CB Folder - Leafy Branch. I inked the sentiment with Basic Black and pierced a frame right around it. Next I added some punched out butterflies. Before I adhered them with Stampin Dimensionals I dressed them all up with my favorite Silver Pearls.

The yummy matching Satin Ribbon is from Flourishes - unfortunately I think they are out right now :( !!! To finish it off I added some more Silver Pearls on the side!!!

Hope you'll find a favorite sentiment stamp and play along?!? Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

Some quick and easy projects!!!

Happy TGIF everyone!!!

My girls have been very cooperative these last few days....and helping me out preparing for a few upcoming events!!!

This allowed me to hop on the computer and show you some little projects I've been working on....nothing major - very simple designs!!!

Here is a little gift bag/card combo I made with the E-Kit - 'LeJardin Kit. Check out this site Making Handmade Cards. These are download-able , printable Kit's - very convenient!!!

Anyway - I needed a gift bag with a matching card and thought I'd give this 'LeJardin Kit a try.

I printed the DP Paper out and cut it to the size I needed...wrapped some Ribbon around it. Next I printed the different Shape page and cut out the one I needed added a flower and Rhinestone Brad....same for the card - voila it's done!!!

*********************************

Here is another very easy , quick card.
I used againe the 'LeJardin Kit. It includes different colored Designer Paper.

This time I'm using the beautiful turquoise color. I basically just printed the DP out, trimmed it and adhered it to my card. I added some Black Satin Ribbon to it and wrote the *Thinking of You* with a Black thinner Writing Marker. At the end I opted for some of my favorite Silver Pearls!!!

Don't forget to stop by for the OCC Challenge tomorrow!!! Hugs ~S~

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Hope you had a great weekend???

Today is my turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday again - wahoooo!!! It's an easy one....if you follow my blog regularly you know I have a passion for square cards so my challenge for you is to create a card or project that is *SQUARE*!!!

I couldn't resist showing off the brand spankin' new *DIY Topiaries* that was just release last Friday!!! Check out the Flourishes SCS Gallery and see what the DT has created with this awesome new Set!!!

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Before I started I decided to do a *Grid* Background. I scored my White CS in a 1/4" interval.

Next I inked the image Memento Black and colored it with these Copic Markers - R27, G07 and E47.

Once I was done coloring I added some Royal Red Shimmerz to the roses.

The sentiment is also from a Flourishes Set - Many Sentiments. I inked it Memento Black and punched it out with the SU Key Tag Punch. Each panel on my card was raised with Stampin' Dimensionals.

FS119 meets Banana Split Sketch Challenge!!!

Happy Sunday!!!

I was pleasantly surprised that the FS119 was posted early - wahoooo!!! I was even more pleased that Joan Ervin is the featured Stamper today - she is a fabulous Artist and I love her creations!!!

If you haven't met her yet, please take the time to check out her gallery!!! She is so deserving to have this day in the *spotlight* !!!

I chose this super cute card of hers and combined it with the 2RedBananas - Banana Split Challenge!!!

Here is what I've changed - the colors, less DP, the Stamp Set and the layout. I added some Prisma flowers at the end!!!

The Set I used was designed by Jami Bova for 2RedBananas. It's called Flourish with Flowers and it's actually a *Sneek Peek*!!! Remember all Set's will be released tomorrow - make sure to swing by the 2Redbananas Store!!!

I know my main image is not oval according to the Sketch......., unfortunately the largest Oval Nestie barely fit around it - so I ended up using the rectangle - like Joan's!!! Learned a lesson - I should have cut the Oval first....not do it backwards..LOL!!!

Anyway - I kept the square card theme. This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with these Copic & Prisma Markers - E00,V01,V15, PM25 and PM125.

The DP is from PTI. I punched each side with the MS Punch. The wings were bedazzled with some Candle Light Shimmerz. The Ribbon is also from Martha Stewart.

I decorated the rest of the card with some Prisma flowers that my sweet BFF - Denise Marzec has given to me :)!!!! Thanks GF - they look great and I'm glad I can finally use them again :)!!!

Make sure to swing by Cassie, Deb, Jeanette , Denise, Teresa, Wendy and Jami to see what they have created this week with all the Sneak Peeks.

Have a wonderful day with you families and friends!!! ~TFL~

OCC meets *There She Goes* & SCS Inspiration Challenge mixed up with 2RedBananas

Hello everyone and a happy Saturday to you!!!

It's been a crazy week for me and I'm glad it's finally weekend :) I haven't had much stampin' time the last couple of days...so I went ahead and multi tasked - LOL!!!

I combined three Challenges into one card. The first one is the OCC Challenge which is a *Color Challenge* - using Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue plus a Neutral Color. Which leads me to the second Challenge - the IC180 - the Inspiration Photo includes pretty much the same colors plus some more....but I ran with the above colors.

The third Challenge is from There She Goes and it's also an *Inspiration Challenge*. Click right HERE for more info - not a member yet - sign up to play along!!! I chose these super yummy flower cupcakes as my main focal point.

Here is some info about my card ........

I used the There She Goes - Flowers of Happiness Set.

I inked the leaves and flowers with Memento Black and colored them with these Copic & Prisma Markers - RV19, B34 and PM-197.

The flowers were cut out and raised with Stampin Dimensionals. I dressed them up with my fav Silver Pearls.

The sentiment is from a different TSG Set - Cupcake Mix & Match. I also raised them up.

To dress this card up I added a row of piercing to the top and bottom as well as some scoring. The 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain is from Stampin' Up.

Please visit the OCC Blog for all the Samples on the Color Challenge!!! For the Inspiration Challenge please visit the new There She Goes Forum!!! Check out Jessica's take on the challenge :) and see what else is going!!!!

I had one more idea....keep going.....

******************************************

I continued with the There She Goes - Inspiration Challenge and chose this yummy cupcake next.

I decided to use this cute Stamp Set - Flourish in Thought. It was designed by Jami Bova for 2RedBananas!!! Make sure to swing by the 2RedBananas Blog to see some Sneak Peeks from other Set's that will be released on May 18th!!!

As you can tell I kept it very simple. My card measures 5" x 5".

I first punched the border with the MS Wavy Dot Punch and then scored the Tempting Turquoise CS in 1/8" intervals.

Next I stamped the image with Memento Black and colored it with Copic & Prisma Colors - E00, R08, PM125 and PM134. .

I accessorized the card with some Angel Wings Shimmerz, Prisma flowers, a matching Rhinestone Brad, Silver Brads and some 5/8" So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon.

We hope you will come out and play with us??? Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

SC228 Thinking of You, 2RedBananas Sneak Peek and CC218 For you.....

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Here is my card for the SC228.

I used a Set I haven't inked up in a long time - it 's the retired SU Spring Solitude Hostess Level II Set.

I use these colors - Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Blue Bayou.

I still have so much *older* CS, Ink and Ribbon leftover that I need to incorporate them into my cards.

The sentiment is from the new SU Bird on a Branch Set (Page 95). I was looking for a thin Set and this was just perfect!!!

To add more interest to my card I added the Silver Brads and the piercing around the main image.

Hope you like it???

**************************************

The 2RedBananas are still in the middle of showing off some of the Sneak Peeks for May.

This Set is called Party Bee's.

I was once again inspired by the WT217 -to use Kraft CS on my card.

I inked the bee image twice with Basic Black. The second image was trimmed and colored it with Pretty in Pink and Basic Gray Ink using a Blender Pen. I raised the image up with Stampin Dimensionals.

Next I bedazzled the wings with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The BG was inked in Pretty in Pink using a flower in the same Set. I also added the same little flower on the upper left corner!!!

The sentiment is actually from the May Journaling Spot Sneak Peek Set that you can see right HERE!!!

What do you think??? Isn't it a cute little card :) ?!? If you have time stop by Cassie, Deb , Jeanette , Denise, Teresa , Wendy and Jami for some more Sneek Peeks!!!

****************************************

Here is my submission for yesterday's CC218 - using Summer Sun, Only Orange and Kiwi Kiss.

I thought this is a fun combo and to me it screamed for a birthday card. Plus I was still in the groove from the Flourishes Challenge which you can find on the post below :)!!!

The layout is from the *Little Paper Shop's* Sketch Challenge - LPSC15.

For the image I used the SU Crazy for Cupcakes Set. I colored the cupcakes with SU Markers - Summer Sun and Only Orange. On the tray I used a Blender Pen using Only Orange Ink.

Then I applied the Liquid Applique for the frosting. I love that stuff - sooooo yummy looking. I know you can't see it very good, but I also applied some Angel Wing Shimmerz.

The sentiment is from the SU All Holidays Set and it was inked it in Basic Black.

To finish off the Sketch I tied the Striped Kiwi Kiss Ribbon with a White Button on top and attached the sentiment from the SU All Holidays Set.

Thank you all for stopping by - have a great day!!!

I used three different Flourishes Set's for this card.

The main flower image is from the *Thinking of You* Set. The center image is from the *Vintage Wallpaper* and the sentiment is from the Sweet Violets Set.

I mainly used Groovy Guava CS and Ink. I had to smuggled a little bit of Kraft Cardstock behind the main flower image.

The DP is from PTI Guide Lines Collection. I bedazzled the blossom with Dazzling Diamond Glitter. I also added some Silver Brads.

This time I used the super cute and fun Happy Day Set from There She Goes!!! I made this card for today's IC179 - Bonjour Mon Coussin. This store is featuring some funky pillows - LOL. I was inspired by this pillow - I really liked the colors together!!! Which gave me the idea to combined it with the LSC219 - That's a Holiday???. I chose the Love a Tree Day Holiday - you can read about it HERE!!!

I inked the tree image twice with Memento Black. I created a 3-D look by cutting the second image out and raising the leaves up randomly. I used Copic & Prisma Markers to color the tree - E47 (Dark Brown) and PM-197 (Green Tea).

The DP is from the So Saffron Patterns Designers Series Collection. The second color is Wild Wasabi. I again scored the Wild Wasabi CS.

Here is another card I made with the So Saffron/Basic Black combo.

This is my submission for the Our Daily Bread Designs May Sketch Challenge - more info can be found HERE.

As you can tell I flipped the Sketch around - for some funny reason I don't like to do cards sideways - LOL!!! Anyway - I do love these awesome Scripture Stamps from ODBD, I have been so busy that I rarely have a change to use them anymore, but not today - I made sure I played along!!! After all what a better way to thank the Lord for giving me this artistic talent - *wink*!!

This flower image is from the I'am the Way and the sentiment is from the Sing to the Lord Set.

I inked the flower image twice with Memento Black. The second one was trimmed and colored with Copic/Prisma Markers - Go7, R08 and PM-132.

I also added some piercing to the top and bottom of the DP as well as on the sentiment panel. The Black Satin Ribbon is the same as on my first card. The only other item I used is the Silver Pearls :)!!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!! Have a great day!!!

OCC Challenge - Mother's Day!!!

Hey you all!!! Can you believe it's May already???

Okay - I'm really freakin' out , because the end of this month my girls will be on *Summer Break* - YIKES!!! I know these next couple of weeks will fly by in no time.....help!!!

Anyway - I had so much fun hosting last months OCC Challenges!!! Thank you all for playing along!!! You guys rock and it was so fun to see people from all over the world participate - wahoooo!!!

For the month of May - Robin Willis is hosting the OCC Challenges!!! She has challenged us today to create a Mother's Day card/project!!! Make sure to swing by the OCC Blog to see all the Samples and what awesome prize you can win for playing along!!!

For this card I used the beautiful SU Bloomin' Beautiful Set.

The DP is from the Raspberry Tart Collection and I used the layout from the SC169.

The rose image was inked in Basic Black. The stem was colored with a Blender Pen using Kiwi Kiss. The rose bloom was paper pieced with the Raspberry Tart DP.

The sentiment is from the SU Fresh Cuts Set. I inked it in Basic Black and punched it out with the Small and Large Oval Punch. Next I layered it onto the new Scalloped Oval Punch.

Of course I had to use my Silver Pearls again!!! I had a lot of people asking me where to get these Pearls - they are available at Michael's!!! These are a must have for sure - LOL!!!

Thank goodness the IC178 - Faviana Prom Dresses helped me to create another *Mother's Day* card ( I actually have two Mother-in-Laws!!!). OMG - you have to stop by this store to see all these fabulous dresses!!! I want one of each and the bodies to match - LOL!!!

Since I still had all my stuff out from the day before I decided to go with this fantastic dress!!!

I used the same colors as above - White, Kiwi Kiss and the Raspberry Tart DP Collection. I changed the Stamp Set to Live Your Dream.

This layout is from the SC143.

The sentiment is from a different SU Set - Just So Sayings. It was inked in Basic Black. I punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and layered it onto the Scalloped Oval Punch. I also added some piercing right below.

At last I added the Silver Brads on the outsides and the Small and Larger Silver Pearls on the flowers.

Hope you like the cards and decide to play along with us?!? Just in case you wonder what card I made for my mother.... you can view it right HERE in this post!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~
