OCC, IC169 Thinking of You....

Hello everyone!!!

Today is a very special day - my oldest daughter Sarah is turning 11 years young!!! I have to admit I'm freaking out a little bit, because she will be in *Middle School* this fall!!! It all has gone by so fast....my husband I were talking about her *first* day in Preschool just the other day.....how can this all happen so fast...???

Sorry - I know you didn't stop by to hear me whine - LOL!!! On a happy note, I'm taking my *birthday girl* shopping today....she has outgrown a lot of her cloth and it's time for a new spring wardrobe!!!

Anyway - here is what's going on with the OCC Challenge - Laurie as challenged us to another fab Sketch of hers!!! I love Sketches!!! For all the awesome Samples and more info please visit the OCC blog!!! If you follow Laurie's blog you know that sweet little Ali had to undergo a biopsy on a tumor in her brain this past week. I made this card especially for Ali today!!!

I only had time to make one card so I combined the Inspiration Challenge #169 and the OCC Sketch!!! Did you see the fabulous Designer Store??? All I can say is WOW!!! I have chosen this beautiful plaque.

I used the gorgeous new *Thoughts & Prayers* Set from SU - the little flowers in the plaque reminded me of this image. I think this is the my favorite Set out of the new Catalog!!! I used this color combo - Cameo Coral, Baja Breeze and Old Olive!!!

I used my little Cameo Coral Ink Spot on the flowers and the Old Olive Marker on the leaves. I used the large oval and scalloped Nestie for the centerpiece. I dressed the little flowers with small Pearls and I also placed a bigger Pearl in the center of the Designer Button from the Button Bouquet Collection. The side panel was punched out with Scalloped Edge Punch. I added a thin Baja Breeze CS on top and pierced it.

Here is a direct link to all the OCC ladies - Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, Laurie, Lori, Lynda, Jackie and Kim.

Hope you have a chance to play along??? Have a great weekend!!!

Do you see the *Build-A-Brad* inside my flowers ??? The stamped image inside is also part of this new Set. When I first saw this little image I was hoping it would fit into the Build-A-Brad and wahoooo it does!!!

I used my Oval Nesties on the sentiment and before I raised the DP/CS panel with Stampin Dimensionals I added the Riding Hood Red Ribbon. Voila!!!!

TSG Sneak Peek #2

Hello again!!!

What do you think of this cute Set called *Slow and Steady*??? Isn't it super cute???

I did a little masking with this Set.....this is one technique I haven't done in a while, but I think it turned out okay?!? Did you see my cute little sponged clouds - he,he,he???

I started out stamping the snail twice with the Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. The second snail was cut out and layered on top of the original stamped image. Next I inked and colored the grass in Wild Wasabi.

Then I punched out a Scalloped Circle with the SU Punch cutting it in half. Before I started sponging my clouds I added the little *dragonfly*. With a fine pencil I drew the line I wanted to pierce the little loop -I gently erased the line after. Next I started sponging around the scalloped edged repositioning it to my liking. The snail and the dragonfly were colored with Copic Markers - E00, N1, R08 and E47.

I used Kraft, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White CS for my card. The Tangerine Tango was embossed with the Swiss Dots CB folder. The sentiment was also inked in Memento Ink and punched out with 1 1/4" plus 1 3/8" Circle Punches. The main image and the circled sentiment were raised with Stampin' Dimensionals. At the end I added some Copper Brads.

For the inside I used a 4th Set Jessica is releasing. It's called *Holidays Galore* - it is an all *Sentiment Set*. When I created this card my oldest daughter Sarah thought this Set was awesome....what she didn't know was...... it's *her* Birthday card!!! My baby is turning 11 years on Saturday - I can't hardly believe it!!!

Anyway - if you like this *Slow and Steady* Set and would like to win it - stop by each and every DT Member and leave a comment. Jessica Knutsen should be the last one on your list....after commenting on her blog add your name to Mr. Linkey!!!

If you like to participate in this months TSG challenge bring out your Rhinestones, Glitter, Sparkle Pens, Stickles and everything else that you can use to *BLING OUT* out your card. Use *TSG Stamps* and you will be entered to win a free NEW RELEASE Stamp Set! You have until Saturday 12:00 AM EST to get create a project!!! Please use the keyword *TSG04* on SCS or PCP. Make sure to add your project to Mr. Linky as well - HERE is the direct link!!!!

TSG Sneak Peek #1

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hope you all been following Jessica's Blog and kept up with all the fun Challenges she has going on??? What do you all think of our new Design Team - we are the *Trendsetters* now - aren't they all awesome??? Have you seen I've moved up to the Senior DT - waahhhhoooo???

Today we are featuring the first Set of the new Release, it is called *Blessings*. I really like this Celtic Cross that Jessica has designed!!!

For this card I used the brand new *Manchester* DP. I thought it was perfect for the *Irish* theme. I combined it with the Kraft and Always Artichoke CS. The cross and the sentiment were stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I raised the cross twice, first the whole cross and then I added a different centerpiece. Next I dressed it up with some Copper Brads.

For the inside I used a sentiment that is also included in this new Set. Again I added the Manchester DP and the Always Artichoke CS.

Now to the fun part.....are you ready to win this Set??? Stop by each and every Design Team Member and leave a comment!!! Jessica Knutsen would be the last card to comment on.

TSG New Design Team and more....

Hello again!

Today Jessica is announcing her new Design Team. Check out her blog!!! So much awesome talent coming on board!!!!

We'll be be showing you Sneak Peeks the next three days plus a sentiment set. Play along and you will have a chance to win every day!!!

Jessica has combined some of the question to the TSG design team. She has chosen this questions down below. I have answered them right below and you can also swing by the rest of the TSG team to see their answers: Becky, Bev, Christi, Denise, Holly, Jessica (owner), Jessie, Joanne, Jodi, Julie, Maki, Stephanie and Wendy.

1. What do you typically start a project with? What's picked first: stamps, embellishments, DP, colors???
I think most of the time I start out with a Stamp Set......I like to chose at least 2 to 3 Set's and then I'll go from there!!! Of course if I'm playing a color challenge then I'll start with the colors first and then decide on the Stamp Set.

2. Do you give away your cards, sell them, send them or hoard them???
I totally admit that I'm hoarding most of my cards - YIKES!!! But then when I create a specific card...like a birthday card - I'll mail them off!!! I think I really need to work on mailing some more cards out - LOL!!!

3. If you could design your own stamp or stamp set, what would it be???
I would love to create flower silhouette Stamps. Can't have enough flower images - LOL!!!

4. Where do you get your inspiration???
If you follow my blog you already know that I'm a huge fan of playing the SCS Inspiration Challenge!!! But I guess most of my inspiration comes from my fellow Stampers over on SCS plus the SU Catalog!!!

5. How do you balance your stamping time with your personal time/work/kids/etc???
Well, my oldest Sarah is turning 11 this upcoming Saturday, Becca is almost 8 and Miriam is 4. Since I started stampin' I started delegating some chores!!! Becca has to do the dishes, Sarah is washing her own cloth, feeding the dog and Miriam is supervising - LOL!!! Some of my stamping is done when the girls are in school and when they are in bed!!! Plus I have been fortunate to be a SAHM since the girls came along...but I guess once I'll start working...we'll have to reevaluate - LOL!!!

6. What is your favorite embellishment?
Hmmmmm - that's tough!!! I think *Sparkles* of any kind!!!!

7. What is something that not a lot of people know about you???
That English is not my first language!!! I was born and raised in Germany - so if my posts sound funny, it's because of my language barrier!!!

8. On average how long does it take to create one of the cards we see each week???
You know that's funny, because sometimes I can create a card within 10 minutes and then I have cards I work on all day.....it really depends on the Challenge!!! Plus I'm my worst critic - LOL!!!

9. What is your favorite coloring medium???
I think my all time favorite is water coloring!!! Closely followed by Copics!!!

10. What time of day do you prefer to do your creating???
Definitely in the mornings - if I can!!!

Jessica is also hosting a new monthly *There She Goes Challenge* - it's all about adding some *Bling* to your card (Glitter, stickles, gemstones you name it)!!! If you play along please use the *TSG04* keyword !!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great day!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC207, FS107 Casing Jami

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I'm so excited to tell you that it is my turn to host the *Timeless Tuesday* Challenge!!!

I have challenged the *Friend of Flourishes* ladies to use *VELLUM* on their cards!!! I always loved the look, but must admit I rarely use it....and when I moved my stamp room I came across an unopened package...that's how I ended up with today's challenge!!!

I hope you like the task and play along??? For all the Samples and more info please visit the Flourishes Blog!!!

Can you tell I was in the *Plum Pudding* mood - LOL!!! I used the Flourishes *Thank You* Set. The flower was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers - G94, Vo9. Next I used the oval Nesties. All CS, DP, Vellum and Ribbon is from PTI. The border was punched out with the Eyelet Punch and accessorized with some small Gemstones (Hero Arts).

I was totally in the groove and made this cute little pillow box (SU Pillow Box Die) as well. I kept it really simple and embellished it only with Ribbon and matching Gemstones.

I already have a special person to mail this too....do you think she will like it???

For more inspiration and close up views visit my friends - Betty, Cindy and Kimberly.

I'm so looking forward to your creations!!! If you play along please use the FTTC4 keyword over on SCS!!!

********************************************

Here is my card I made for the FS107- Jami Bova!!! I combined this with today's CC207 using - Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

I had the pleasure of working with Jami last year on the ODBD Design Team and it was so nice to see that she was selected. Of course I had to play along.....and I have chosen this beautiful card of hers to case.

I've kept the layout very simple and didn't add any CS or DP. I chose a different Stamp - Flourishes Set *Sign Of Spring*. The of course the colors are different.

Have a wonderful day!!! ~TFL~

OCC Challenge *For You*, IC168 *For You*

Howdy everyone!!! Wow, this Saturday has come by fast.....!!!

It's another fun OCC round!!! This time Laurie has asked us to add a *TAG* to our card or project!!! All of the DT Samples and more info can be found on the OCC Blog.

I have seen so many gorgeous cards with the new *Fifth Avenue Floral* Set, that I had to use it on my card today!!!

I stamped the individual flower and the stem with Basic Black. Next I used a Blender Pen and colored it with Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi. The image was layered onto Pink Pirouette CS and dressed up with the DS Pink Pink Pirouette Ribbon using a Styled Silver Ribbon Slider. The DP is from the Wild Wasabi Prints Collection plus I added a punched Pink Pirouette Eyelet Border below. At last I added the small Silver Pearls (Michaels) in the center of the flower, the Silver Brads and of course the tag (self made) using the *All Holidays* sentiment.

************************************************

Here is a card I made for the IC168 - isn't it a fun store to shop???

Once I saw this pillow I knew I wanted to use the beautiful *Morning Soft* Set. I haven't used this one in a while and I'm glad I had a chance to ink it up again!!!!

I tried to add the *blue* color into my card, but I just did like it, hope that's okay???

I settled for these colors - Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Whisper White. I inked the image in Basic Black and colored it with a Blender Pen. The center flower was raised up and accessorized them with Rhinestones. The DP is from the *Rose Red* Patterns Designer Series. At the end I added the 1 1/4" Mellow Moss Grosgrain Ribbon and attached the tag with the *All Holidays* sentiment on the side. I'm glad I still had some tags left from the OCC Challenge!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~

There She Goes Blog Hop!!!

Hi everyone!!!

Welcome to the first *There She Goes* Blog Hop!!! If you just get started....please go to the beginning and you should be back here in a few minutes!!!

Our super talented DT Member Holly has challenged us to create a card/project based on a *famous quote*. We all were assigned a *There She Goes* Stamp Set's as well!!! WOW - I had to get my gray cells going on this one - LOL!!!

This is the quote I have choosen......

*Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our
irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place*.
Mark Twain 1835-1910, American Humorist, Writer

and here is my card with the *You're so Punny* Set.

I thought this image and sentiment works perfectly with the quote!!! Every time I see this little piggy I have to giggle......!!!

I used Very Vanilla CS as my base. The DP is from Imaginisce. I also used Bashful Blue, Kraft and Pretty in Pink CS. I loved how my DT buddy Maki used the *piggy* on her card the other day!!! You can view it right here. Isn't it super cute???

The image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa four times - trimmed and layered!!! I water colored the different layers with Close to Cocoa using the Aqua Painter. The cheeks are colored in Regal Rose. Of course there were tons of Stampin Dimensionals involved - LOL!!! The sentiment was inked in Rich Cocoa as well and punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. For the layeres I used the 1 3/8" and the 1 1/2" Circle Punch. At the end I added the Silver Brads.

Thanks for stopping by!!! Now you get to hop on over to the super talented Denise Marzec!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC206 Live Your Dream...

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Are you ready for another *Flourishes Timeless Tuesday* Challenge!!! This week the wonderful Dee Jackson has challenged us to use *flowers* on our cards!!! YEAHHHH - I love flowers on my cards....!!! For all the details and Samples stop by the Flourishes Blog!!!

For my card I used a combo....the brand new released Flourishes Set *Sign of Spring* image as well as some flower embellishments (Fancy Pants, Making Memories). I added some small buttons in the center of the flowers and tied them with some Scrapper's Floss (Karen Foster).

The layout came from Jen's SFYTT Sketch. I used the following colors - White, Kraft and Riding Hood Red CS. The sentiment and basket image were inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic and Prisma Markers - Go7, R08, B35, W-5 plus PM-132. The little Chickie's were inked in Marigold Morning and also colored with the Prisma Marker - Jasmine PM-132. Aren't they toooooo cute??? I raised the Chickie's, flowers and panels with Stampin Dimensionals plus I added some piercing underneath the main image.

Hope you will get out your flowers stamps, embellishment etc. and play along??? Don't forget to use the keyword *FTTC3* when you upload to the SCS gallery!!!

For more inspiration stop by my Flourishes Friends - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner and Dee Jackson.

*****************************************

Finally - here is my card for the CC206 - sorry you had to wait for this post!!!

I don't know about you, but I had a heck of a time to use this Color Combo - Rose Red, More Mustard and Kiwi Kiss (Old Olive optional). I had to try several different Sets, but finally settled for this wonderful *Live Your Dream* Set.

I really tried to minimize the More Mustard....I didn't think it's a good match at all, but that's why it called a challenge right?!? I used more Rose Red and Old Olive and accessorized the card with small More Mustard butterflies from the Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch.

The image was colored with Rose Red and Old Olive Markers. I dressed the card up with some Silver Pearls (Michaels) and scored on the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from the *Fresh Cuts* Set and I inked it Basic Black. The circles were punched out with the 1" and 1 1/4" SU Circle Punch.

Thank you for being so patient and for stopping by!!! Have a great day!!!

FS106 My friend Julie......

Is the Featured Stamper #106 today - wahooooo!!!

Not only can you find her divine gallery over on SCS, but also on her blog. I have been stalking my friend pretty much from the beginning.....I sooooooo love Julie's clean and crisp designs!!! She rocks!!!

I chose this gorgeous card from Julie's gallery. I used the same Stamp Set *Echoes of Kindness*, but changed the colors to Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip and Haiku DP. I did less layers and changed the layout.

Hope you like it???

IC167 Happy Valentines Day and OCC *L.O.V.E*

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

It's time for another OCC Challenge and today Laurie has a Sketch for us. You can see the Sketch, all the Samples and *who* Laurie has invited as a Guest (I heart her!!!) right here.

I figured I make a card for the special occasion!!! I have bought the wonderful *A Happy Heart* Set and have not had much of a chance to use it....silly - huh!?!

So today is the day I inked it up....I used Riding Hood Red on the heart and Close to Cocoa on the sentiment. The card base is Very Vanilla. I also punched out some Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Riding Hood Red Circles. The Designer Paper is from the *Candy Lane* Collection. As you can tell I raised some of the Circles and the main panel with Stampin Dimensionals.

The card was dressed up with some Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, the super cute Bouquet Buttons plus some piercing.

For more inspiration visit - Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, Laurie, Lori, Lynda, J
ackie and Kim.
********************************************
Here is my card for the IC167. What a fun choice it was this week - LOL!!! I choose this bra (Page 2) *Still in Bloom*. Okay - my card is not as flashy as the bra...LOL - I went for a softer look - he,he,he!!! But I thought it matches the *Valentine* theme perfectly *wink*!!!

My color inspiration not only came from the IC167, but also from the fabulous CCEE Stampers. Our special OCC Guest - Tosh - was hosting this Color Combo on their site...and I had to play as well!!!
I promised myself at the beginning of the year to try to use a lot of my *older* stuff when I create cards....When I saw the colors - Pink, White and Kraft for this Challenge I thought of some Long Notes I had bought a while back. Silly me.....by the time I looked closer to write up the the recipe I realized it's Sahara Sand instead of Kraft - YIKES. I blame it on my sleep deprivation LOL.....I hope the CCEE ladies will forgive me....?!? I do like how the card turned out though....it's such a soft combo!!!
Okay, so here is some info about this card. The gorgeous image and sentiment is from There She Goes *Roses & Chocolate* Set. I inked them in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Prisma and Copic Markers (Green Tea, Pink Rose, Ballet Pink & Putty). I trimmed the sentiment and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals.
The Designer Paper is from the *Candy Lane* Collection and I had to use my new Eyelet Border Punch as well. To top it off I added the Silver Brads.
Alright - I hope I/we put you in the stampin' mood with these Challenges and you play along??? If not - have a wonderful and romantic Valentine's Day?!?!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Hugs ~S~

LSC207 Daffodils

Happy TGIF!!!

Thank you for all the well wishes for my daughters!!! Unfortunately both are still sick and hopefull will recover over the weekend...!!!

We are still completely off schedule and have turned the night into day - YIKES!!! Thank goodness the girls are on *Winter* break next week and we'll try to get back into the groove then!!!

I was stalking the LSC207 and I'm so happy to play along.....Judy has really put us to the test!!! I didn't have to think very long to figure out what I wanted to create....a card out of my comfort zone!!!

If you all have been following the Flourishes Design Team you already know about the Sneak Peek. If not - this is the third day of showing the newest Set's and all of them will be released tonight!!! Don't miss the Release Party over on SCS!!! Flourishes is featuring the *Sign of Spring* Set today!!! For more info and all the Samples please visit the Flourishes Blog .

I designed a similar card for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge the other day - you can view it right here. Like I said and if you know me.... this is usually not a card I would create - I like them clean, simple and fast....- LOL!!!

For this Limited Supply Challenge - we had to use at least *two* or more things we don't do so often or are a *stretch* for us.....Well - I used 4 layers and that's without the sentiment - LOL!!!! This is my second time using a *Recess Window* - still getting used to it. I also like buttons, but for some funny reason I don't use them that often - did I mention I have tons?!? This is definitely a card out of my comfy zone!!!

I used the new SAB Designer Paper *Delicate Dots*. The frame was created with the Bigz Top Note Die and in the center I used an Oval Nestie. The colors I used are -Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Kraft and Whisper White. The pretty Border Punch is from Martha Stewart. I inked the daffodil and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Prisma Markers (Green Tea, Jasmine).

On the senitment I used the small and large Oval Punch plus I added some piercing right below it. At the end I added a Button (unknown source) and the DS Wild Wasabi Ribbon.

Hope you like it??? If you like stop by again tomorrow for the OCC Challenge!!!Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~

CC205 I'm here for you, SC215 Thinking of You

Hello everyone!!!

Miriam and I went shopping in Savannah yesterday....and when I came home I checked the CC205 - what beautiful colors Emily has chosen!!!

Of course I had to play right away. As soon as I was done I planned on posting it here on my blog, but instead I had to take my two daughters Sarah and Miriam to the doctor. Nothing serious.....both of them caught a head cold that has been going around at our schools....!!! Well, our Rebecca had it last week and of course if one gets it, the other one will get it too!!!

By the time I came home from the pharmacy last night my husband said he wasn't feeling so great either - oh no....I can handle the girls, but having a sick husband is worse - KWIM - LOL?!!?

Okay - here is some info about my card. My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The colors are Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum and Old Olive. The Stamp Set is from Innovative Stamp Creations - *Natures Silhouette I*.

I colored the image with Perfect Plum and Old Olive Markers plus Pink Pirouette Ink. Next I layered the image onto Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Perfect Plum CS. I used a Spellbinder Ribbon Tag and stamped the sentiment from the There She Goes - *Here for You* Set in Old Olive Ink. I tied it with the *Plum* Satin Ribbon from Martha Stewart. At the end I dressed the card up with the Martha Stewart *Butterfly Punch* and some small Pearls (Michael's).

*****************************************

Here is the card I made for SC215.

I used the same colors as above for the CC205 - Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum and Old Olive . The Set is *Essence of Love*. I used the same Markers on the image plus Pretty in Pink.

To dress it all up - I added the piercing around the image , bedazzled the flowers with Dazzling Diamond Glitter plus added the Silver Brads.

Hope you like it??? ~TFL~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, TLC206 Be Mine....

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

It's time for another fun *Timeless Tuesday Challenge*!!! I hope you all had fun playing with us last week??? Please make sure to stop by the Flourishes blog to find out the *who* the winner is from last weeks entry!!!

Are you ready to find out what's going on this week??? Well, let me tell you - the super talented Betty Wright is hosting this weeks TT Challenge. She is challenging us to use *BUTTONS* on our cards/project. How fun is that??? I have sooooo many buttons and I must admit I had a really hard time selecting which ones I should use...- LOL!!! Have you noticed these little embellishments are super trendy right now???

When I started making this card I was in a very happy mood, because the weather has turned around for a few days and it's in the 70's - wahhhoooo!!! I felt like happy Spring colors and ended up using the beautiful 6"x 6" *Euphoria* DP from BasicGrey (available at Flourishes) as well as the Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette, Tempting Turquoise plus Whisper White CS.

My layout and idea for this card came from last weeks TLC206, I loved how the *Recessed Window* looked and thought I'd try it. I used the *Bigz Top Note* die and created an oval window in the center using an Oval Nestie. The image is from the Flourishes Set *I love Roses*.

I inked it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the Rose with the following Prisma and Copic Markers - Green Tea, Ballet Pink, Pink Rose and Putty. I softened the look with the Colorless Blender. I had to use my new Eyelet Border Punch on the bottom. The pink and turquoise buttons are from SU and the white one from an unknown source. I tied some Scrapbook Floss in the middle of the buttons and adhered them with Glue Dots.

The sentiment is from the same Set and it was also inked in Tuxedo Black and punched out with the Small Oval Punch. The TT CS was punched out with the Large Oval Punch. Once I adhered them together I pierced below the sentiment. Of course there were tons of Stampin Dimensionals used in the process - LOL!!!

I hope you get your neglected buttons out and join us for this fun Challenge!?! Please use the keyword *FTTC2* to show off your project on SCS!!!

Here is a direct link to all my team members - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson and Kimberly Crawford.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

OCCC A Note of Thanks, IC166 and JBE038 Smile

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Did your week go by as fast as mine??? I can't hardly believe we have February already?!?

Well - that also means the OCC ladies have a new hostess. This month all the Challenges are created by Laurie Schmidlin. Come and stop by at the OCC blog - see *who* our Guest is and we added a *new* OCC Member as well!?!?

For this weekend Laurie came up with an *Inspiration Challenge*. She is challenging us to use our *favorite Embellishment* (Ribbon, Hardware, Charms, Flowers, etc.) and to create our whole card around it!!!

I have chosen my absolute favorite embellishment *PEARLS*!!! Yep - I love them on my cards and especially when I can coordinate them with a *Hat Pin*!!! I think it adds so much elegance to a card when you use them.

For my card today I used one of my favorite Stamp Set's from *Innovative Stamp Creations* that I have neglected badly.....it is called *Artsy Victorian*.

The card measures 5" x 5". I used Whisper White, River Rock and Basic Black CS. The image was inked in Basic Black Craft Ink and embossed it with Clear EP. I layered the image on the different CS's and raised it up with Stampin Dimensionals. I added Black Satin Ribbon and attached the Hat Pin on the side. To finish it all up I added the big Halfback Pearl in the center. The sentiment is from the SU Set *Thank You Kindly* and it was inked in Basic Black.

Here is a quick link to the other OCC ladies - Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Jennifer, Julee, Laurie, Lori, Lynda, Jackie and Kim.

Hope we have inspired you to play along???

Next is my card for the IC166 and JBE038 - casing Michelle Woerner.

It actually started with a fun Challenge on her blog - the Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge!!! We had to *case* Michelle.....and since I'm a big fan - I thought I'd play along.

I chose this card. Did you notice Michelle has *Pearls* on her card - hint - LOL - I thought I'd continue the OCC Challenge as well!!! I also liked the flower and the sentiment together.......I changed my layout as well as the colors.

Here is where the IC166 comes in..... I was inspired by this flower pillow - the colors are so fun and bright!!!

I used Kraft, Raspberry Fizz (PTI) and Whisper White. If you follow my blog you already know how much I love the Raspberry Fizz from Papertrey Ink. The Stamp Set is from the new Release *Flowers of Happiness* from *There She Goes*. The sentiment is from the same Set.

First I inked the the vine and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with the Prisma Marker *Green Tea* (PM-197). Next I inked the flowers in Raspberry Ink and colored it with the matching Copic Marker *Red Violet* (RV19) . The colors were softened with the Colorless Blender. I dressed the flowers up with some Silver Pearls (Michael's). Next I added the yummy Raspberry Satin Ribbon. The image panel was raised and I added two rows of piercing on the left hand side.

Thank you for stopping by!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~

LSC206 Here for you......

Happy TGIF!!!

My goodness what a busy day it has been.....My middle daughter Rebecca had to stay home from school with a little cold/fever....dropped and picked up Miriam....we had an appointment to refinance our home this morning - the bank had to pushed the appointment back to later, that didn't work out either until we finally had a chance to close at 1:30pm....I really don't like days like this when you can't control the process - KWIM??? Anyway - it's all good now!!!

Of course I was tracking the LSC206 this morning....and as you know it was kinda late, but thank goodness Jen came to the rescue and created one instantly - waaahhhhooo!!!

I was under time pressure to pick up the little one and had to make a really simple card. I decided to decorated the inside and finished it just a few minutes ago.

The Set I used is from *There She Goes* called *Here for You*. The colors I used are - Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

The sentiment looked so plain....that I decided to add a little piercing on the corners. I added some flowers and a cute SU Designer Button on the side and tied it all together with a Karen Foster Scrapbook Floss.

Hope you like it??? Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all stop by again for the OCC Challenge tomorrow??? Have a great weekend!!!
