OCC Music Challenge and IC217, SC265, Curtain Call #14

Howdy friends!!!

Thank you for all the well wishes...my girls and I are feeling much better!!! First it was Miriam and me and then on Tuesday evening Rebecca joined in with a stomach bug...fun, fun, fun!!! Thank goodness it passed quickly....now we are just trying to get back to our regular sleeping schedule!!!

Well, it is Joycelyn's last OCC Challenge for the month and she is challenging us to create a card using *Music* for your inspiration. Any instrument, any song, any genre!!!

When I saw Betty's SNTODBD02 this week I knew exactly what Set to use!!! This Challenge was also to add *Dimension and Texture*!!! Can you actually believe I made this four layered card...crazy huh??? Not my usual style, but I must admit I like it :) !!!

The bird image is from the ODBD Sing to the Lord Set. The BG Set is from the ODBD Amazing Grace Hymn.

I inked the bird image with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with Copic Markers. I inked the image a second time, cut some of the flowers out, colored them and raised them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The card was finished off with the Laced Ribbon, some sponging and my fav Silver Pearls.

Please make sure to stop by the OCC Blog to see all the wonderful Samples the Team has created!!!

************************************

My next card was created for a few different Challenges.

First the IC217 - Espe. I chose these bangles in the second row as they match this weeks Curtain Call Color  Combo #14. The Sketch is from the SC265.

I totally fell in love with these colors....but must admit I had to think about what Set I'd use with it?!?

I opted for my fav PTI Set Life - it's perfect for multi colors!!!

I started out by scoring my layered CS. Next I randomly inked the flower with the CC colors, tied a Ribbon around it and added the Button with the Silver Pearl.  To finish it all off I added some more Silver Pearls between the scored lines.

Hope you like it???

Have a wonderful weekend and make sure to come back on Tuesday for a fabulous Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!!

Stamper's Dream - JustRite and Impression Obsession

Howdy friends!!!

I haven't been feeling so hot these last few days....I came down with a *head cold* and my poor little Miriam has *strep*!!!

I think I mostly slept yesterday and took Miriam to the doctor....my poor baby did look good at all. I hate when my babies are sick!!! Thank goodness for medicine.....we are almost good as new - LOL!!!

I felt like stampin' this afternoon and created two cards. Both cards feature the same SSCC49 Sketch.

My first card has the colors from this weeks CTD77 - using Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery.

I used the newly released Plant a Little Love Borders & Centers Set from JustRite. I think Michelle already sold all of her stock...so please keep your eyes open for a new shipment to the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

The border image was inked in Elegant Eggplant. The flower itself was watercolored with Elegant Eggplant and Baja Breeze. The leaves were colored with Copic Markers. The BG was embossed. I finished the card off with the yummy Satin Ribbon, Glitter and Silver Pearls.

**************************************

My second card was created for the JustRite Challenge - JRC_003

The heart image is from the My Funky Valentine Set from Impression Obsession.

I inked the the heart with Real Red and trimmed right around the edges. The sentiment was created with the Times Roman Font Set from JustRite.

I found the cute Heart DP in the Dollar Section at Target. I finished the card with the Red Satin Ribbon, Button and a Red Square Rhinestone.

All the images are from the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

Thank you for stopping by today...have a great evening!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC51!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I was a total slacker this weekend.....how about you?!? I sooooo need this little break :) I did a little stampin' yesterday and finished up my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday project for today!!!

Talking about today's FTTC51 Challenge.....we have a Guest Designer!!! It's no other than my sweet blogging friend *Pat Adam* also known as *The Rubber Maid*. Pat is hosting today's Challenge and here is what she is challenging us with in her own words......!!!

"For this week's challenge be inspired by the letter *P*. Sounds a bit crazy, but not really if you think about it for a bit. I'm thinking pink, pearls, poppies, purple, punches, and piercing. Do you get the picture? Sure you do so let's get moving and make those perfectly pretty and positively pleasing presentations. Don't think you've been challenged in this way before, so I will be excited to see how you all do." Pat

I used the beautiful Sweet Violets Set on the card and box. The sentiment on the card is from the brand new Taglines Set. The images were inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Marker Collections - Hollyhock, Dahlia and Holly.

Here are all the *P*'s I used on my card..... the color *pink*, *piercing*, *punches*,*pearls* and I added a *present* on the side :) !!!

I combined this project with a few different challenges.....my main inspiration came from this weeks FS155 - Karen Barber. I chose to case this beautiful card from her!!! I changed the layout to the CCEE1003 Sketch. I added *pink* for the C4C21 Challenge and a touch of *green* for the SSCC23 Challenge. Adding Design Paper was this weeks CAS51 Challenge. The box idea came from the JUGS17 - Template Challenge. My template is from Stampin' Up.... if you are interested in this templae pls e-mail me and I'll send you the pdf.file.

Please make sure to stop by Betty, Cindy, Dee, Maki and Pat's blog to see their take on the Challenge!!!

OCC Sketch Challenge!!!

Happy weekend everyone!!!

I'm so happy it's relaxing time.....I've been working very hard this week preparing for an upcoming garage sale, so we don't have to move all this stuff!!! We are ready to put our house on the market within the next two weeks..... so I've been cleaning and decluttering!!! I forgot how stressful moving can be and I definitely like to be prepared way in advance!!! We even had a showing yesterday and I hope we can sell our house before we put it on the market...but that's of course only wishful thinking - LOL!!!

Anyway - moving on to today's OCC Challenge......Joycelyn created this super awesome Sketch for us.

Since I didn't get to stamp very much this week I combined this card with a few different Challenges:

The colors were inspired by Stacey's awesome Curtain Call Color Challenge # 13  and the IC216 - Echo Challenge. I actually used this handbag as it fit's Stacey's colors perfectly!!! How cool it that ??? Next is the Moxie Fab World - Start to Finish and the C4C21 - Pretty in Pink

My card is pretty straight forward.....I used my new fav SU Set *For All You Do*.  The colors are - Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Basic Black and White.

All the flowers were raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals and I added  Small Silver Pearls in the center. For the inside I used the butterfly from the same Set and added the Medium Silver Pearls.

I had many people asking me were I bought these Silver Pearls...they are a Michael's brand!!! Watch out they are highly addictive - LOL - but a must have!!!

Please stop by the OCC Blog to see all the wonderful Samples the team made!!!!

Have a great weekend and have fun playing along!!!

The Challenge is all about adding *Glitter and Rhinestones* to your card or project...how could I have said no to this awesome Challenge - right?!?

Here is my take on it......

I couldn't help myself but to use the awesome SU Set - For All You Do again :).  If you missed the cards I've made with  this Set then click HERE and HERE.

The colors were inspired by a color combo from the SU Catalog - Real Red, Crushed Curry and Basic Gray. Aren't they fun together???

I added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter and Silver Pearls to the flower petals and the embossed
butterfly. Hope you like it???

Please make sure to check the creative Belli Challenge Design Team - AnneCeal, ChrisDebbie, FernHolly, JennyJoan, Robin and Steph.

Hope you all join us in playing this fun Challenge?!? Have fun!!!

*****************************************

My second card was created  for yesterday's CC252 - using Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Handsome Hunter.  The dessert option was to add Pink in any other form then using Cardstock!!!

These were some really tough colors, but I really like how they look together!!! Betty just knows how to mix them up!!!

I used a this cute Treemendous Stamp Set from There She Goes.

The tree itself was inked in  Handsome Hunter. The little flowers were inked randomly with the CC colors and  I added some small Silver Pearls in the center. To finish the card off I added the Melon Mambo Ribbon with a White Button and Pink Scrap Floss. Voila!!!
