MTSC71, Moxie Fab World and C4C34,CC266 Casing Barb

Aloha friends!!! I have two cards for you !!!

When I saw the Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday Challenge I knew I had to play!!! Isn't this a fabulous inspiration photo??? I'm so ready to hang out at the pool!!!

Here is my take on it.....

I received my PTI package and could help myself to ink up the awesome Delightful Dahlia Set. I loved the April PTI Blog Hop idea - creating something with tissue paper so much I had to do make another flower card :) !!! The layout from this weeks MTSC71 Sketch was the perfect with it!!!

**********************************************

My second card is for this weeks C4C34 - casing on of the DT Members. I chose to case this beautiful CAS card my sweet and super talented friend Barbara Anders made.

I love that Barb and I share the same passion about PTI :) and when I saw her card I had to play with the same Guide Lines Two Set. I changed the layout a bit and added a flower instead of the ribbon. The colors are from the CC266 - using Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral, Ruby Red. The dessert option was to add Creamy Caramel or Close to Cocoa....I chose the yummy Creamy Caramel!!!  At last I decorated the card with some Small Gold Pearls and the flower on the side.

Have a wonderful evening!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC64

Happy Tuesday!!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC64 !!! It is the end of the month so we have a challenge hostess! This week Karen Wallace is our host! Karen is challenging us to create a *VINTAGE STYLED* card/project!!!!

Everyone has their own take on *vintage*, so without giving you any direction we want you to create a card that defines your own vintage style!!! We would love to see what you create!!!

Here is my idea.....

I couldn't help myself, but to use the super gorgeous Spring Bouquet Set again!!! First I inked the floral image with Melon Mambo onto the Melon Mambo DP. Next I distressed the edges and added the White Lace Ribbon.

The bouquet image was inked with Memento Black and colored various Copic Markers that can be found at the Flourishes Store!!! After coloring was done I color distressed the egdes with a Chestnut Chalk Ink Spot. Next I added the *Cracked Glass* technique and again color distressed the edges. At last I decorated the card with the Large Halfback Pearls. Hope you like it :) !?!

Please make sure to stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee, Maki and Karen for their vintage ideas!!!

Just  a quick reminder....each FTTC Challenge has a weekly winner, we also draw a monthly winner from all of the FTTC for that month. So, if there was a Challenge in April you still would like to participate in, there is still a chance to win! You can play as often as you like! Check out FTTC61, FTTC62, and FTTC63. The weekly and monthly winners will be announced next week!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!!!!

PTI April Blog Hop

Happy Sunday!!!

I had a chance to escape and make a card for the PTI April Blog Hop...wahoooo!!!

I used three different PTI Stamp Sets on my card - Turning a New Leaf,  Dots Spot and  the sentiment is from the Giga Guide Lines.

The colors were inspired by this weeks Curtain Call Color Combo #27 - using Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Certainly Celery. For my tissue idea I cut out my flowers with the PTI Beautiful Blooms II Dies. I inked them up with the Dot Spots Set and layered them....voila!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you hopping along!!!

IC229 Happy Mother's Day and MTSC70 Friends

Happy weekend!!!

The weather is once again fabulous here in the South...(sorry for rubbing it in)!!! Mimi and I are getting our hair done today...did I mention Miriam gave herself a little haircut a few days back?!? Well it looks terrible...it's right on the side and I can no longer hide it.....so today she will get a *cool for the pool* haircut!!! It's the second time she has done that and I was a bit mad, because her hair finally started growing longer and now we have to cut at least 3 inches off...yikes!!! Oh well!!! If Mimi let's me I'll show you a photo of her this upcoming week.

I noticed a new Challenge over on SCS called *Queen for a Day* hosted by the fab Mrs. Ann Ryan.....and this week *Cathleen aka ctorina* is the lucky *Queen*!!!  I love Cathleen's cards...she has a very elegant style and of course I couldn't resist playing along. I chose this gorgeous card from her gallery.

I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to use on my card....until I saw the IC229 ~ Green Rainbow Challenge. I saw these super cute Eco-Paints and they reminded me of the SU In-Colors. Well, I really have not used them too often and before some of them retire I figured I better use them a few more times!!!

The flowers are from the SU Vintage Vogue Set. The DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade Collection. I I used the Top Note Die for the center. The leaves were created with the Sizzix Little Leaves Die and at last I added the Silver Pearls.

*****************************************

Since I had everything out I created another card with the same Stamp Set, DP and changed the sentiment. I used the layout from the MTSC70 Sketch. I combined this card with the WT267 - Mixing Patterns and the TLC269 - Piercing.

The sentiment is from the Friends 24/7 Set. I added the piercing, the Silver Pearls and the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon. Hope you like it???

Here are few more challenges my cards fit to:

ODBDSLC11  ~ Mother's Day
OCC Challenge ~ Blooming Blossoms

Have a wonderful weekend!!! Hugs ~S~

VSAPRBP01, TLC269 Thank You; CQC29, C4C33 Birthday Hugs & Kisses

Howdy friends!!!

I have two cards to share with you this evening. My first one is for this weeks Verve Beach Party Color Challenge  - using Orange, Aqua and Green.  I combined it with this weeks TLC269 - Piercing.

I figured I dig some of my Verve Sets out and ink them up for a change...they haven't seen much love in a long, long time!!!
This flower image is from the Floral Whimsy Set. As you can tell I added a lot of piercing!!! I usually use my Mat Pack from Stampin' Up for most of my piercing...the templates are very easy to handle.

***********************************************

My next card is another birthday card. I used the layout from the C4C33 Sketch again. The colors were inspired by this weeks CQC29 - using Bravo Burgundy,  Tangerine Tango, Yoyo Yellow and Green Galore. I also combined it with the SSCC35 - adding flowers and it also fits the TSC Challenge -  creating a *birthday card*.

The floral Set is from Rubberneck called Wild Flower.  The seniments are from SU. The floral images were inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. I added some Medium Silver Pearls. For a change I also added the same floral images inside!!!

Have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping by!!! Hugs ~S~

C4C33, CCCC26 and SSSC65 Happy Birthday

Hello sweet stampin' friends!!!

I finally took my first Zumba class last night and I LOVED IT!!! I'm a little sore today, but I guess that's part of working your hips, legs and upper body...LOL!!! I was the OLDEST participant in the class....but the girls & guys (mainly 18 to 22 years olds) were so sweet and made me an awesome compliment...they thought I was in my early 30's  - wahoooo!!! When I told them my *real age* (41)  they couldn't believe it!!! They totally made my night...LOL!!!  I'm looking forward going again on Sunday.

Today I have two cards to share....my first one is for the Curtain Call Challenge #26 - using Basic Gray, Going Gray and Crushed Curry. I really love the chic look of these colors!!!  The layout is from this weeks C4C33 Sketch.

I can't remember what this new SU Set is called, my friend was sweet enough to let me ink it up!!!  I think I'll have to have it....just one more week and the new SU Mini comes out!!!

The second card is for this week Sweet Sunday Sketch #65. Once again I used the colors from the Curtain Call #26.

This is a new Two-Step SU Set called Awash with Flowers. Isn't it neat!?!

I scored the background first and then stamped the image. The DP on the top card and on this card is from the  SU Urban Oasis Collection. I topped this card off with a matching Basic Gray Corduroy Button and some White Scrap Floss that I colored with the Crushed Curry Marker.

I'm also submitting these card to this TSC Wednesday Challenge...the theme is to make a *birthday card*!!! Plus the SSCC#35 - adding flowers to your card!!!

Thank you for stopping by....I have to go and feed my little monsters now!!! Have a wonderful evening!!!

Hugs ~S~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC63

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I was hoping to tell you something about my Zumba class, but unfortunately they cancelled the class due to a banquet they had going on. I was so disappointed
:( ...... sniff!!! There will be a late night class tonight and I guess I have to try that one...I'll keep you posted...if I survive it...LOL!!! !!!

Well, are you ready for another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC63 !?!? Our host today is Cindy and she has created this fabulous Sketch for you to try!!! It's pretty straight forward.....you can turn the Sketch and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!! We cannot wait to see what you do with it!

Here is my take on it......

I combined my card with the April Dirty Dozen Challenge CT0410 -  Very Vintage Central Theme and the Inspiration Theme. I don't do *vintage* very often, because I suck at it.....but for some reason this fabulous brand spankin' new SPRING BOUQUET Set did it for me!!!

I inked the floral image in Memento Black and colored it with these Copic Marker Collections - Buttercup,  HollyLilac, Violet and Colorless Blender. The DP is from the KaiserCraft Lilac Avenue Collection. The edges and the White Lace Ribbon were distressed with the KaiserCraft Lilac Stampin' Spot. At last I bedazzled the floral image with Dazzling Diamond Glitter and added the Large Halfback Pearls.

Don't forget to stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's blog to see their take on this Sketch!!!

Looking forward seeing your cards!!!

The images are from the Stampin' Up Hostess Set God's Beauty. Love this Set!!! The sentiment is from the Papertrey Set - Butterfly Dreams....still had it on my desk from the other day and I thought it works perfectly with this butterfly image!!!

Howdy friends!!!

Life is busy around here....Rebecca started playing Tennis and she has practice twice a week. I started working out again Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and man it's really kickin' my butt, but it feels so awesome doing something again for my big butt...LOL!!! Since I started working out I can sleep like a baby again wahooo!!!

Anyway....don't want to bore you with all my chit chat....I finally had a chance to edit some of the photos from the Stampin' Up event the beginning of the month and some more pictures we took at the wedding. But first I would like to share a card I made with the Clear & Simple Sketch #85.

It's pretty straight forward....I actually flipped the Sketch...and used these colors - Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Yoyo Yellow. Both Stamp Sets - Butterfly Dreams and Turning A New Leaf are from Papertrey Ink.

*********************************************************

Okay here are Shelli Gardner. Did I mention she is super sweet and I really enjoyed meeting her in person!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC62

Happy Tuesday!!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge- FTTC62 !!! This week Dee is our challenge host!!! Dee is shaking things up a bit....or, better yet, she is challenging us to shake things up!!! We are making *Shaker Cards*!!! Now, you can have a big shake or a little shake. You decide if your shaker is the focal point or the accent. We would love to see what you create!!! So, go get busy and "shake it" with us this week! Here is a wonderful shaker card tutorial at SCS by Beate Johns to get you going!

Here is how I *shook* it up......I created a Gift Set.

I used the beautiful *Crocus* image from the  A Year In Flowers I Set. The sentiment inside the card is from the Tag Lines Set. The flower image was inked with the Hollyhock & Holly Collection plus R000, R35 Markers.

The *shaker windows* were created with the Label I Spellbinder Dies. I added a fitted sheet of the Clear Cardstock in between and then filled it with some Gold Micro Beads. I added some piercing around the window and added some Gold Pearls for decoration.

My background on both projects were embossed with the Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug Folder. I added a MS Flower Border Punch to the card and decorated it with some more Gold Pearls. The Gift Box is from this Slip Cover Template. I finished the card and the box off with some Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon.

Now it's time to check out Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki's take on the Challenge!!!

Thank you for stopping by today...I hope you like this idea!?!

IC227, CTD87, CCEE1014, TPE61 Silhouette Gift Idea

Happy weekend everyone!!!

We are off to a wedding today!!! I stayed up way toooooo long and  I'll probably regret it in the morning...yikes!!! I blame it on Mona, Pam, Stephanie ....*wink*!!! Yes...it's all their fault...LOL..., they keep blowing me away with their fabulous creations!!!

Here is what happened... I recently won a Lauren Meader template...wahooo....and every time I stop by one of these ladies blog (Mona, Pam and Stephanie) they have another amazing *Gift Set* done. Here I am still haven't printed my fabulous prize out.....I guess my bad conscience kicked in....and I FINALLY did it!!! I made my first *Slip Cover* Box and I created a matching card as well. May I just say...this is one fabulous template...so easy to work with...love it!!!

The colors were inspired by this weeks CTD87 - using Pink, Gray and Olive. My inspiration came from a few different Challenges this week... IC227 - Home Sweet Germany. We are challenged to make a card that inspires us from our home town, state or country. Well....I grew up in a beautiful town called *Ebermannstadt* which is located in Franconia/Bavaria, Germany . We were surrounded by acres of beautiful flower fields and I will never forget the smell and the beauty of them!!! Unfortunately I haven't travel home in a few years, but hopefully this fall I can take a trip back to memory lane!!!

So when I saw todays IC227 and the CCEE1014 Challenge - using Silhouette images. I knew I had to use my favorite ISC Nature Silhouette I Set!!!  My favorite thing to do with this Set is using the *Misting with Water* technique. My theme also fits this weeks Pink Elephant #61 Challenge - using a Nature themed image.

The gorgeous Basic Gray Satin Ribbon and the Buttons are from Stampin' Up. The super cute Flower Dies are from PTI. I finished both projects off with some piercing and the Silver Pearls. Oh and before I forget I also scored the bottom part of the Slip Cover Box. Hope you like it!?!

Have a fabulous weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

TESC107, CQC27, OCCC I'm Sorry....

Happy Wednesday evening!!!

I had the TESC107 Sketch on my mind all week, but wasn't sure what colors to use until I found the CQC27 - using Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise and Soft Suede.
I incorporated the OCC Challenge - Break out the Buttons as well, since it works perfectly with the Sketch :).

Please click to see it larger...I have a hard time with cards that are sideways :(

I was trying so hard not to buy these super duper cute Pure Innocence girls, but couldn't resist any longer...LOL!!! This one is called Flower Girl. Isn't she adorable???

The DP is from the Tangerine Tango Pattern Design Collection. The image was inked in Memento Black and I colored most of the image with Copic Markers except the hair. I used a Blender Pen and colored it with Soft Suede color. The background was sponged with Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery...I think I found a new passion...LOL!!!

The Buttons are a combo of SU and PTI Collections. I tied them with some White Scrap Floss in the center. To stick them to the card I used some Jumbo Glue Dots...they work magically!!!

Thank you for stopping by tonight...have a wonderful evening!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

It's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday  - FTTC61!!!! Our host is Barbara and she is challenging us to use the stuff we bought. A "bought it use it" Challenge so to speak. Now, if you purchased some pretty embellishments and put them away for a very special card, or you got some fancy smancy tool/punch that you just had to have, or better yet, you bought a gorgeous pack of Designer Paper and you have yet to use a piece, this is YOUR challenge! Tear off those wrappers girls, if we bought it we are using it this week! You have our permission! We would love to see what you create with the stuff you bought!

Here is my take on it.....

Sparkly version....sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist

I had to case one more card from this weeks FS165 - Theresa Momber...just love her creations!!! I chose this beautiful card from her gallery. The colors where changed to this weeks Color Curtain Call #24 - using So Saffron, Garden Green, Kraft and Tempting Turquoise.

Here are the new items I used on my card - the new Friendly Reminders Set. The SU Pink Flamingo DP just arrived last week and I had to use the beautiful Tempting Turquoise sheet  from this collection!!! I also used a brand new package of Black Pearls I bought last week. I sprayed it with some Pearl Glimmer Mist for the Belli #88 Challenge (sorry it's hard to see, but I promise it's one sparkly card!!!).

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Marker Collections - Buttercup, Daffodil, Holly plus E35 and Colorless Blender. I was very daring and sponged the background just like Theresa's card :) wahoooo...I really had fun casing her card!!!

Please stop by Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Makiko's  blog to see their take on the Challenge!!!
