Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

How was your weekend??? Ours was uneventful and very relaxing...love those kinda days...LOL!!!

How about playing along in our new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC82??? It is the end of the month and we are happy to introduce you to our challenge host!!!! It is Traci Major and she is  challenging us to a theme of *Summer Memories*!!! With summer quickly drawing to a close, Traci wants us to reflect on one of our summer activities and create a card capturing one of our favorite memories of Summer 2010! How fun it that??? Hope you will come and play with us :) !!!

Here is my take on it......

I immediately thought of our times at the beach!!! My girls and I just love to hang out and and enjoy every minute we have at the beach!!! If you are interested in some of our summer photos ~ click here.

Of course I had to use the beautiful Flourishes Beach Life Set. Unfortunately my coloring skills are not good enough to capture the beauty of the ocean/beach!!! So I decided to participate in this weeks TPE82 ~ Mostly White Challenge....after all these images speak for themselves :).  I matched the beach images up with several different Flourishes sentiments from the ~ Chairs for You,  Friendly Reminders and Sweet Violets Sets. Of course I HAD to add some Silver Pearls for a little more pizazz :) !!!

Now it's time to check out ~ Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee, Maki and Traci's  take on the challenge!!!

Thank you for stopping by today...I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project!!! Hugs ~S~

My first card was combined with this weeks TSTR24 ~ A Little Bit of Metal. I added an Aged Copper Label Holder with matching Brads and tied it together with the SU Espresso Ribbon.  The sunflower image it self was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ YR00, YR02, Y15, Y17, Y35, Y38, G12, G19, G21, G24, E37, E39, E47, E97, R17, R27 and Colorless Blender. The DP is from this PinkPaislee Collection and the ribbon is from Walmart. At last I added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

*********************************************

My second card has almost the same elements, but a different layout...I used the awesome C4C51 Sketch again.

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with the same Copic Markers as above..I just mixed the coloring up a bit :) !!! For this card I added some Wild Wasabi CS...which I decided to score, some Brown Buttons and some yummy Kaiser Chocolate Pearls. At the end I added some more Glitter....voila!!!

C4C51, IC246 Just For You....

Happy weekend everyone!!!

I combined the Sketch with this weeks IC246 ~ Pink Taffy. I was inspired by the colors from this super cute photo!!! Here is my take on it...........

I chose the SU Just Believe image...it was perfect for the long oval center. The sentiment is from the same Set. The flower image was colored with ~ Always Artichoke, Real Red and Summer Sun Markers. The card base is a retired So Saffron Long Note. I added some Real Red Satin Ribbon and So Saffron panels according to the Sketch. As you can tell I also added some scoring to then larger center panel. In addition I added another Real Red Ribbon in the center and tied it off with a Styled Silver Ribbon Slide. At last I added the punched scalloped border on the bottom and topped the card off with some Silver Pearls.

Now it's your turn, but first go and check out the awesome cards the *crazy* team has created ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Vicki.

Moxie Fab, CTD106, Home Tweet Home and more.....

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous week so far??? For me the week has just flown by....!!! Not sure if I mentioned something before, but I'm actually trying to go back to work!!! I've been a SAHM for over 13 years now and it is time for me to create *my own* little independence again, plus I have to start paying for my own *little* stampin' addiction...LOL!!! Anyway, yesterday I did something I have not done in over 18 years...I had a *job interview*....I know it's crazy...LOL!!! I was pretty nervous and I had no idea *what* to expect!!! Not sure how it went, but I guess I'll find out soon....wish me luck :) !!!

Today I've been surfing blog land a bit and found a few challenges I wanted to play along with. I actually have two cards for you. First up, is my idea for the Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday Challenge.

The layout was inspired by the Fussy and Fancy Sketch #17 A. The colors also match the CTD106.

The sweet image and sentiment is from PTI Bird Watching Set....I think this is my second favorite PTI Set :) !!! The image itself was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers. I finally had a change to add some fun clouds to my card....using the PTI Cloud Dies. The DP is from the SU Soft Sky Collection. The big Kraft CS circle was cut out with my Cricut Machine and the White CS panel was scored. The card was finished up with some awesome Brown Crochet Ribbon, matching Brown Buttons and some Silver Pearls.

********************************************

My second card was inspired by my sweet friend Mercy.....she always has some fabbo Sketches going on and this layout is from this weeks MTSC87. The colors are from this weeks Curtain Call Act #43.

I must admit, these colors were harder to combined than I first thought...LOL...but after all I like how this card turned out!!! Here is my idea................

The flower image is from the SU Watercolor Trio Set. The Design Paper is from the SU Kiwi Kiss and the Tangerine Tango Collection. I scored the left side of the White CS panel and finished the card off with some Pacific Point Ribbon, the MS Butterfly Punch as well as some of my favorite Silver Pearls.

Have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping by!!! I'll be back on Saturday for the C4C Challenge....see you then!!! Hugs ~S~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - my turn!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend??? Our shopping trip to Savannah was very successful!!! We litterly shopped till we dropped...LOL!!! We finally had some nice rainfall down here too....which allowed me to stay inside and stamp...wahooo!!!

I'm happy to tell you that I'm hosting today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC80!!! I created a *COLOR COMBO* for you and I hope you have time to play along??? This one is not only easy and fun, but the colors are sure to make a beauty!!!. Simply make a card using the listed below and link it over on the Flourishes Blog!!! While Flourishes stamps are not required, if you have them by all mean use them! We would love to see what you create!!!

Here is my idea.......

My main image is from the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms Set!!! I think it has become my favorite Set this summer!!! The sentiment is from the Tag Line Set. As I was thinking of what to create for this challenge....I  sort of had a *light bulb* moment..LOL!!! A *gate fold* theme came to mind....I took this idea and ran with it!!! I really like how it turned out!!! What do you think???

This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded. If you like to try one there is a great tutorial over on SCS!!!
Back to my card....The *cherry blossom* was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R000, R00, R02, RV04, Y02, Y15, YG91 and Colorless Blender. Once I was done coloring I decided to add some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the center of the blossoms. The embossing in the front was created with an SU Elegant Bouquet Folder. At last I added the punched MS Butterfly, a Button and the some Black/White Gingham Ribbon.

Now it's time to check out the gorgeous cards Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki created!!! Hope we have inspired you to play along?!?

I'm also submitting this card to this weeks SFC16 Challenge ~ Think Floral and the TPE80 ~ adding Ribbon & Sparkles*!!!

Frances is feeling groovy and she is challenging us to add  some *MUSIC* to our creations!!!  It could be a music related stamp, designer paper, embossing folders, punches etc..... whatever you wish.

Here is my idea...........

The design for my card was inspired by the IC photo over at the Shabby Tea Room. I also combined it with the SSCC#51 ~ create an *apology* or *words of encouragement* card. The layout is again form the TESC123.

The beautiful encouraging Bible Verse is from the Sing to the Lord Set from ODBD. The Music BG is from an old Stampabilities Stamp called ~ Composer's Dream. The colors I used are Kraft, Vintage Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. The Design Paper is from the SU Bella Blue Collection. I added some *Faux Stitching* and *distressed* the edges. The card was dressed up with the beautiful MS Butterfly Punch, some Cotton Lace Ribbon, some Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Button, Brown Scrapper's Floss and the Halfback Pearls.

May I just say it is fabulous having some quiet stampin' time again :) !!! For today's card I combined the Curtain Call Act #42 Color Challenge and the TESC123 Sketch !!!

Here is my take on it.............

I used one of my favorite SU Sets called Branch Out. The sentiment is from the SU Family Phrases Set. The right hand side of the card was scored. Have you tried the new SU colors yet??? I really like them and it was fun to use them onto today's card!!! The BG DP is actually from my leftover stash....and it matched the Peach Parfait color perfectly. Have you noticed something??? Here is my take on it (I flipped the Sketch)........

I used the gorgeous Berry Sweet Set. Aren't the raspberries delicious??? I still had some Kraft CS Notecard/Envelope laying around and decided to use it for today's project. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic MarkersR000, R17, R22, R27, R29, G12, G24.

The DP in the BG is from the BasicGrey ~ Basic Manila Collection. I topped it with some Real Red CS and another Kraft CS which was embossed with the PTI Linen & Canvas Impression Plate. The Red Striped Ribbon is also from SU. The edges were ink distressed using the Ranger Antique Linen Pad. At last I embellished the card with a matching Red Button and some Silver Pearls.
