FTTC86 Home Tweet Home and more!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Did you all have a nice weekend??? Ours didn't turn out as quiet as I was hoping....our oldest daughter Sarah came down with the flu and had a very hard time breathing. I took her to the new Urgent Care Center here in town and they ended up giving her some cortisone pills and an inhaler so she can breath again. We had to rule out pneumonia and thank goodness she didn't have it. I totally forgot what a *BIG* baby she is when she is sick...LOL...thank goodness she doesn't get sick much!!! The medication and inhaler are working and she is on her way to recovery....yeah!!!

Afterall I did get a chance to make a card for this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC86. Matter of fact it's the end of the month again and that means we are having a Guest Designer. Please help us welcome Debbie Marcinkiewicz!!!! Debbie is challenging us create a card, project or gift set with a *fall/harvest* theme using these colors ~ Green, Brown, Orange/Russet, and Cream!!! Hope you have time to join us this week???

Here is my idea.....

I used one of my all time favorites Set ~ Home Tweet Home. All the required colors work perfectly with this Set :) !!! My cardbase is Classic Ivory. The images were inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and color with
these Copic Markers ~ YR07, YR01, E27, E00, YG91, YG67, G24, G0000 and Colorless Blender.  I added some *corrugated cardboard* in the BG and inked it up with the same Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. The awesome Mashed Ribbon was a great find up in Atlanta!!! My little birdhouse was tied down with some Brown Scrapper's Floss!!!  At last I added some piercing around the edges, the sentiment and the pearls.

Now it's time to check out the rest of the team ~  Barbara, Betty, Cindy, DeeMaki and Debbie!!!

Remember you DO NOT have to use Flourishes images to play along...just get inky and play along!!!!

My card was also created for these challenges in mind:

4 Crafty Chicks ~ Celebrate Fall
Paper Sundaes #37 ~  Things with Wings
Meljens Designs #26 ~ Autumn Colors
Create for Card ~ Make a card with leaves

Curtain Call Act #49....Remember

Happy Sunday!!!

Hope you are enjoying your day so far?!? We are heading to church this morning and then I hope I get to play some of the challenges I have printed out from this past week :) ?!?

Today I'm happy to share the new Curtain Call Act #49 colors. I must admit even though these are beautiful colors I had a heck of a time putting them together!!! I guess, because I didn't have anymore Sahara Sand colors to add to my card...so I opted for some Crumb Cake colors instead.

Here is my take on it......

I thought this beautiful There She Goes Set called Poppies was perfect for today's color challenge!!! I bought this Set about 6 months ago and it's about time I inked it up!!!

The poppy image was inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ R17, R27, V0001, R08, YG91, C1, E27, E37 and Colorless Blender. I decided to add some piercing and used my Crumb Cake Marker to create the *Faux Stitching*. The Black Laced Ribbon with the Pearl flowers in front is from Hobby Lobby and the Satin Pleat Ribbon is from Flourishes. I also embellished my card with the Large Scallop Border, some Black Pearls and Dazzling Diamond Glitter
Don't forget to checkout the Curtain Call Team:

Crazy4Challenges C4C56

Happy weekend everyone!!!

This past week really flew by way tooooo fast....(I think I'm saying this a lot lately)....yikes!!! I hardly had enough time to get my design commitments done, but nevertheless I kept my head above water...LOL!!!

Today I'm sharing a card for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C56. This is Joycelyn's last round of hosting and I'm happy to tell you that I'll be hosting the upcoming October Challenges...yeah...all I'm saying is you don't want to miss it :)!!!

Anyway, Joycelyn came up with another fabulous idea for this weeks challenge...*ADD SOME BLING* to your card or project!!! I know...how fun is that...I think I actually went a little overboard...LOL!!!

Check out my super duper blinged up card.....

I've been dying to add this awesome Prima Bling Flourish to a card!!! I found this particular sparkle thingy at Hobby Lobby!!! My *Thank You* sentiment is from the Flourishes Many Sentiments Set. I inked it onto the PTI Fillable Frame Die #4 and I also used the dotted border from the Fillable Frames
# 4 Set. The Design Paper in the BG is from the BasicGrey Granola Collection. The border on the bottom was punched out with a Martha Stewart Punch.

Hope I have not blinded you tooooo much with this bling card...LOL??? Check out the rest of the C4C Team for their ideas ~  Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Tammy.

Have a fabulous weekend!!! I'll be back with my Curtain Call card :) tomorrow!!! Hugs  ~S~

Color Throwdown #111

Happy Day everyone!!!

Gosh it's already Wednesday...and I'm back to work. Mimi is doing much better thanks to the meds!!!
Thank you for all the sweet get well wishes for my little bugger!!! I'm so happy she is feeling better too!!!

I can't hardly believe it, but next week is my last week with Color Throwdown...time surely flies by fast!!!
Today's colors are awesome....are you ready for a challenge ....check them out!!!

Here is my take on it....

I dusted off an older Verve Visual Set called Floral Whimsy. I started out with a River Rock card base. I topped it off with a scored White CS and some Pacific Point DP. My flowers were created with this 3-D Flower Die. The leaves are from a small SU Leave Die. I finished the card off with a large scalloped border, some piercing, the Pacific Point Ribbon, a matching SU Button, some White Scrapper's Floss and the large Halfback Pearls in the center of the flowers.

Make sure to check out the fabulous Color Throwdown Team ~ Barbara, Broni, DanielleKristin, Laura, LeAnne and Tammy !!

We went to see the doctor yesterday and she was given antibiotics right away!!! Unfortunately all the funky diseases are floating around in our schools again and it was just a matter of time till we get it!!! At least I get to stay home with her and I'm able to work from home today...plus lots of snuggling times are in the forecast :) !!!

We have an easy Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC85 going on this week!!! Dee is the challenge host and she is challenging us to create a *CELEBRATION* card!!! Celebrate anyway you like! Now that I'm working in a large office I need tons of *birthday cards*!!! Matter of fact October is another busy one!!!

The DP in the BG is from the Rich Razzleberry Collection. The branch was inked in Wild Wasabi and the leaves were inked randomly with the rest of the Curtain Call colors. Before I inked the images up I decided to add some piercing and some scoring on the side. The sentiment was inked in Rich Razzleberry. I added a matching SU Button and tied it off with some White Scrapper's Floss that I colored with a Rich Razzleberry Marker.

Don't forget to checkout the Curtain Call Team:

C4C54, IC249 Friend

Happy weekend everyone!!!

Hope you have something fun planned??? I think I'll take some extra naps this weekend and recuperate from this past week....working full-time again is kickin' my fanny :) !!! So much to do so little time!!!

Here is my take on it....

My card was inspired by this weeks IC249 ~ Cost Plus World Market!!! I love that store and all the fun items they carry...I'm so lucky we have a store down in Savannah :) !!! I ran with these iron butterflies as I was able to incooperate them onto my *Hinged Card*.

The top of the Kraft CS was punched out with the Scallop Edge Punch. I added a new SU Antique Brad for the *hinge*. MTME Final September Project!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

The entire MTME Team is showing off their last September Release project today. Lauren has asked us to show off the awesome Homemade Card and Envelope © Cut File.

Before I tell you all about it, I decided with a heavy heart to step down from the MTME Team. I know...I can't believe it myself!!! My new boss told me he will need me full-time for awhile and I won't have time to create all the fabulous projects Lauren has designed in the future. After all, she deserves someone that puts their whole heart and soul into it and I just can't do it right now. I hope you'll keep stopping by to see me regardless?!? I also want to *thank* Lauren for allowing me to design for her...Lauren and the MTME ladies are super sweet and I will follow their journey from here on out!!!

Back to my card....I had to create a quick *thank you* card for a friend of mine and it was the perfect way to show off this sweet house card!!! Since I couldn't decide on any colors I decided to go for my favorite color combo ~ Black, White and Red!!!

Here is my idea..........

My roof was created with one of the Digi Papers from the Custom Construction Materials © Collection. The *Coffee House* image on the front of my card is from the Color Me Pretty Collection called Simply Sensational Shoppes ©.....it was simply printed out and attached...no stampin' involved!!! Lauren has a video tutorial on her blog on how to use this Digi Paper ......you can see it here!!!

For the inside, I quickly created a little pocket for a Gift Card. I inked up the label with the sentiment from the Sign It © Set and decorated it with some Silver Pearls.....voila!!!

Now it's time to check out all the sweet MTME friends ~  LaurenKatie, Kristin,LesaPam,
StephanieTracey, Dawn, Tammy and Lisa!!!

Thank you all for stopping by today...I'll be back on Saturday with my C4C card!!! Hugs ~S~

I have done some different from my ususal White CS style and I kinda like it :)......

I dug out my beautiful SU Elements of Style Set and colored it with the Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz Ink. I actually used my SU Blender Pen for a chance to create this look. I almost forgot how fun it is to color with these pens :) !!! I don't have the Daffodil Delight CS yet and replaced it with So Saffron, but added some Daffodil Delight color inside the rose image with the SU Marker. The Tempting Turquoise CS was embossed with the SU Texture Folder and I also added a matching SU Button to the Ribbon. I finished the card off with some ink distressing, some Dazzling Diamond Glitter and  Silver Pearls :). Can't find any Silver Pearls in your area...check out my friend Judy's new store....right HERE!!!
