C4C61 Sweet Friend!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Sorry I've been so quiet this week....I was working out of town for a few days. I didn't have a chance to catch up with my e-mails, blogs and stampin'!!! If I have not responed to your e-mails, I promise I'll try to do so this weekend!!!

Once I again I can't believe another month has almost gone by!!! Today, I'm hosting my last Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C61 !!! I thought of a fun Sketch for you to try and I hope you'll play along as well???

Here is my take on it....

The inspiration for my card came from my sweet blogging friend Mona Pendleton!!! She started a new color challenge ~ CR84FN ~ and I'm so happy I had a chance to join her on her new journey!!!! These colors also match this weeks CTD116.

I used the gorgeous image from my Flourishes Apple of my Eye Set. I inked it in Memento Black and colored it with different Copic Markers. The DP is from the SU Deck the Halls and Newsprint Collection. I decided to ink and edge distress my card with the PTI Vintage Duo Ink. My card was embellished with some Chocolate Pearls and some fabulous Tan Satin Ribbon!!! I also added a beautiful Anitique Brad from SU.

Now it's time to check out my sweet Crazy Friends ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Tammy.

Have a wonderful Halloween weekend!!! I'll see ya again tomorrow!!! Hugs ~S~

FTTC90 Sunflower, SSCC62 Think Pink and more!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

How was your weekend??? Ours went by quickly....is it just me or does time fly by faster these days???

Since it's already the last Tuesday of the month, the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC90 has invited a Guest Designer!!! Please help us welcome the fabulous Mrs. Linda Coughlin. Linda and I had the pleasure of being on another Design Team together and I'm so thrilled to have her host today's challenge!!!
Here is what Linda is challenging us to *ANYTHING GOES BUT BUTTONS AND BOWS*...love how that rhymes...LOL!!! Okay everyone, get all of your other embellishments out and show us what you have stored in your drawers all this time!!! Have fun :) and I can't wait to see your ideas!!!

I have actually two different cards for you today. My first card was inspired by the Embellished Vintage Color Challenge ~ Green, Yellow and Rust.

As soon as I saw these colors I immediately wanted to grab my gorgeous Flourishes Sunflowers Set. I did make it *vintage*, but my photograph kinda took away the entire look :(..... I promise I ink distressed, edge distressed and made it look *old*!!!

Here is some more info about my card ~ I used Dusty Durango for the *Rust*. The DP is from the PinkPaislee Bayberry Cottage Collection. For my embellishments I used some matching Rust Ribbon, a Small Paper Doily, some Lace Ribbon, some Halfback Pearls and some Copper Hardware. I also pierced around the edges, tore a bit of the DP in the upper right hand corner plus I added some Glitter on the Sunflower...voila!!!

Please don't forget to stop by ~  Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee , Maki and Linda's blog to see their ideas on this weeks FTTC90 challenge!!!

My card is also for these challenges ~

Stampin' Royalty #42 ~ Ribbons, Ribbon, Ribbons
Daring Cardmakers ~ Autumn Leaves
One Stitch At A Time #36 ~ Anything Goes

******************************************************************

My second card is also created with a Flourishes Set that is dear to my heart ~ Think Pink - Fight like a Girl !!!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness I decided to play the fun challenge over at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #62 ~ use a Pink Ribbon and primarily the color Pink on your card!!! The colors on my card are also for this weeks ODBDSLC34 ~ using Kraft, Black plus one other color (Pink)!!! The layout is from this weeks MMSC76 Sketch.

I kept this card pretty simple, since I wanted the focus on the super cute shirt!!! The DP is from an old SU Stash. I added some White Cotton Lace, some piercing, scoring and finished it off with the Pearls in the corners!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness is so important ladies and gentlemen!!! Please go to your yearly check up!!!

Thank you for swinging by today!!! Have a fabulous week??? Hugs ~S~

I dressed the card up with some Black Satin Ribbon, a matching Black Button and of course I had to add the Silver Pearls again!!!!

Please make sure to check out the fun ideas the Curtain Call Team has created with this color combo ~

Here is my idea.....

My main image is from the Inkadinkado's Crow Stamp. I just love this awesome image!!! I also love this new Flourishes Halloween Set called Witching You a Happy Halloween. All the sentiments I used are from this super cute Set. I inked it in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers ~ Y18, Y15, Y000, YR09, YR18 and Colorless Blender. I used the Design Paper from my old SU Halloween stash. I ink and edge distressed the paper. I dressed the card up with a Martha Stewart Spider Web border, Silver Pearls and some Ribbon.

How do you like the cool coffin??? I found those little boxes at Michael's.....super spooky!!! The are more a grayish color...and of course I wanted the coffin to match my card, so I ink distressed in Black to make it look more creepy!!! Hope you like my idea???

Here is my idea.....

I inked up the beautiful sentiment from the Lily of Hope Set. Matter of fact I'll be mailing this card to my co-worker Janice. She is currently hospitalized and still waiting for a heart transplant. If you follow my blog, you know she survived two very critical surgeries this past Friday and it's truly a miracle that she is still with us!!! Her live is a real roller-coaster right now and I hope this card will bring a smile to her face!!!

For my card today I used the DP from the SU So Saffron Collection. I added some *faux stitching* to it with a White Gel Pen. The right side of my card was scored. I also scored the So Saffron CS behind the sentiment. Since I love the look of the sweet little Paper Doilies...I couldn't resist and added one in the background. I also added some Silver Pearls and some sparkly new White Prima Flowers.

Now to the fun part :) !!! My birthday is tomorrow and I decided to celebrate it with some Blog Candy!!! One lucky winner will be able to pick one Flourishes Set of their choice!!!  I will also put some extra goodies in the mail for the winner!!! The DP in the background is from the SU Bermuda Bay Collection. The Tangerine Tango CS was scored and embellished with a punched out Scalloped Border plus some Satin Ribbon. The butterflies were cut out with the matching Butterfly Die and I colored them with some matching Copic Markers. At the end I embellished the border and the butterflies with some Silver Pearls. I also decided to add some scoring and piercing on the top of my card.

I'm glad it's weekend..!!! It's been a long and very busy week!!! One of my sweet co-workers has been hospitalized last week...she has a heart condition and was in very critical standing for a few days. Matter of fact Janice is the person I directly work for....she was so spunky and fun when I first met her...I hope and pray that she'll be her own self again soon!!! Today she underwent two very difficult procedures and made it out okay!!! I think at this point they are trying to keep her staple so they can place her on the heart transplate list!!! If you find it in your heart please say a prayer or two for Janice!!!  Thank you!!!

Thank goodness I only worked half a day today...I was able to calm my nerves with stampin' and created two cards for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C59. C4C58 Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

What can I say...this past week has flown by again....!!! I had the best intensions to create some cards for some fun challenges and somehow I couldn't get going :) !!! But I'm happy to bring you this weeks Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C58!!!

I chose a very easy theme for you this week....October is my birthday month and all I want you to do is create a *Birthday* card or project!!!

Wanna know what your reward is for playing along???? Verve Stamps has again graciously donated a $25 Gift Certificate for one lucky winner...so get going and show us your gorgeous ideas!!! Make sure to check the C4C Blog for all the details on how to play along!!!

Here is my idea for the *birthday theme*....

Julee was also super generous during this sponsership and allowed us to pick a Verve Stamp Set of our choice. I chose the beautiful Big Wish Set. You can't have enough birthday sets...right???

Anyway, I decided to use one of Julee's fabulous Sketches she designed for the Release Party this past week.

Isn't it an awesome Sketch??? I really wanted to keep the focus on the beautiful birthday cake and went with some easy colors ~ Real Red and So Saffron. The DP is from the SU Real Red Collection. All I basically did was added the Red Satin Ribbon with a matching Button above the sentiment and the Silver Pearls around the cake....voila!!!

Now it's time to check out the Crazy Team for their ideas ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Tammy.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!  Have a fantastic weekend!!! As always....I'll be back with my Curtain Call card  for tomorrow!!! Hugs  ~S~
