Happy Easter weekend everyone!

I hope you will get to spend this wonderful holiday with your family. We are staying home and we'll enjoy going to church and watching the girls participating in the *Easter Egg Hunt*...love watching them...LOL!

It's time again for a new ODBD Shining Light ~ ODBDSLC58 Challenge. Chris has created this awesome Sketch for us to try and I hope you'll have a chance to play along. Please note this challenge will last 2 weeks!!!

I also added this weeks C4C84 theme to my card which is to create a *Easter* card. Please stop by the C4C blog to check out all the fab ideas the *Crazies* had.

Here is my idea...I flipped the layout to the side.

I told you I'm in the *purple* mood lately.....and I just had to use it on this card again. The DP is from the PTI Guide Lines Collection and so is the Ribbon as well as the CS I used to punch out the MS Butterflies. The tag was created with the ODBD Tag Die. I added the Fleur de Lis Border Set and the sentiment from the Daffodil Tag Set. To finish the card off I added the the PTI Medium Scalloped Border which I scored, the Prima Flowers and the Silver Pearls...voila!

Please make sure to check out the ODBDSLC team for their gorgeous ideas on the Sketch ~ Sabrina, Chris, FranciePat and please help us say farewell to our March/April Guest Designer Lori.

The image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and I also *ink distressed* all the edges with some PTI Chai Ink. Next I embellished the card with some Gingham Ribbon, a SU Antique Brad, some Halfback Pearls and the Prima Flowers....voila quick and simple!

CR84FN24 I comfort you.....

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far??? We have been busy....we were watching a
Volleyball game here on campus yesterday...GSU was playing a friendly game against GA State. Right after the game my oldest daughter Sarah and I went to see the pageant at her Middle School. All the girls were just beautiful!!! It was really interesting to watch and I think my Sarah wants to participant next year too....I can't wait to see her walking across the stage :) !!!
Anyway, moving on to Mona's fabulous CR84FN24 color combo....here are this weeks colors.....

Here is my take in it....

I used the beautiful brand new ODBD Mother's Day Set. My card started out with some PTI Vintage Cream CS. My second CS was scored and I layered it with a triangle cut from this BasicGrey Hello Lucious DP. Next I added the doily and inked with the PTI Chamomile to take off the bright white shine.
I inked the sentiment onto the Label One Spellbinder Die plus the PTI Vintage Label image and embellished it with some Halfback Pearls. At last I added the Aqua Prima Flowers, the PTI Satin Aqua Ribbon with a matching Button and some Vanilla Scrapper's Floss.

ODBDSLC57, C4C83 Happy Easter....and more!

Happy weekend!

Do you have anything fun planned? We'll most likely stay at home. The weather is a bit unpredictable this weekend and I think we'll just concentrate on cleaning, doing laundry and hopefully some stampin' :) !!!

If you have some spare time how about playing two really fun challenges??? The first one is the ODBD Shining Light ~ ODBDSLC57. The challenge this week is to create a card/project *WITHOUT ANY COLORING*. You may sponge a background or use colored ink to stamp an image but NO coloring!!!

The second challenge is the Crazy for Challenges ~ C4C83. The task is to create an *Easter Gift*.... make a basket, a box or whatever you wish. Please stop by the C4C blog for all the details.

Here is my idea on both challenges....

I used the beautiful Easter Set from ODBD called I am the Way... This time I used the smaller image from this Set and inked it in SU Peach Parfait. The DP is also from the SU Peach Parfait Collection. The upper part of my card was scored and I added the matching Ribbon as well as a matching Button. I embellished the card a bit more with some Scrapper's Floss, a  punched out MS Border, MS Butterfly and lots of Silver Pearls. The basket was created with the SU.......... Die.  The handle was punched with the same MS Punch and I added some SU Flower Brads on each side.  I pretty much included the same elements as on the card....plus the yummy candy :) !!!

Now it's your turn, but be for you go check out the rest of the ODBD team with their ideas ~ Sabrina, Chris, FranciePat and our Guest Designer Lori.
