ODBDSLC90 Christmas Wishes....

Hello my sweet loyal stampin' friends!

First off I would like to wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and very relaxing Christmas. May the Christmas spirit lighten your hearts and bring you everlasting Joy! I also hope Santa will be good to you...*wink*!!!

Our family is celebrating the birth of our Savior tonight and will be taking it easy in our P.J.'s tomorrow. Before I kick back for a few days I want to share my last ODBD Shining Light ~ ODBDSLC90 project for this year. The theme this week is *ANYTHING GOES* as long as you use an ODBD Stamp Set!!!  We hope you will have a chance to play....this is actually a two week challenge!!!

I felt like making a little goodie bag and card......

The card features the beautiful Christmas Rose Set and the treat bag is showing the sentiment from the Christmas Door Set. Both projects were embellished with a Large Red Striped Ribbon, a matching Button some Silver Cord and some Silver Pearls. For my card I used the SU Top Note Die and some SU DP in the background. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ R14, R17, R27, YG11, G21, Y08 and Colorless Blender. At last I bedazzled the Christmas Rose with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Please make sure to check out all the ideas the team had ~ SabrinaFrancie, LoriChrisSue and don't forget our Guest Designer Wanda Cullen.

If you have time this weekend ......we have another fun Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC89 going on....Use each letter of the word in *NOEL* to create your card. For example....

I used the beautiful Flourishes Set called Vintage Postcard. The image was inked in Memento Black and colored the image with these Copic Markers ~ B0000, BG000, B00, YG11, G21, G21, YG94, E27, R14, R17 and Colorless Blender. FTTC148 Opposites Attract...

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend??? We went a little shopping over the weekend, relaxed big time and enjoyed a nice luncheon with our extended family! I'm so excited...I have only two more days to work...yeah!!!

Since it's Tuesday again, how about a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC148??? Maki is our hostess this week and she has challenged us to a fun theme ~ *OPPOSITES ATTRACT*. Use the same image and make two cards/projects with two totally different looks, style themes or colors. For example, you can make CAS and lots of layers, feminine and masculine, monochromatic and lots of colors, for a child and adult, for birthday and sympathy, etc. Have fun crafting!!!

Here is my idea.....I started out with a *combo* look....

Here is my first card.....

I used a very simple CAS design first.  My cards feature the beautiful Dove and Holly Set. The sentiment is from a retired Set. I basically just stamped the image with Memento Black and colored it with these Copic Markers ~ C0, C1, C2, C3, YG11, G21, G24, R14, R27 and Colorless Blender. Next I added the Black/White Gingham Ribbon and an SU Antique Brad...voila!

Here is my second design....

The opposites on this card are the *square and circle* shapes vs. the *rectangle* look from the first design. I also added some different elements like the punched out MS Border on the side, some *scoring*, the Striped Ribbon with the matching Button plus the Silver Cord, the Silver Pearls and of course the colors are a bit different as well. The leaves were also colored in different color *greens*. I used the Copic's ~ YG93 and Y67. The punched out sentiment is also different ...it's from the Holiday Greetings Set. Hope you like my two different approaches :) !?!?

Now it's your turn!!! Don't forget to check out the rest of the team ~ Cindy, Maki, Heather, Tammy, BeateMona and our December Guest Designer Theresa Pollack.

Thank you so much for swinging by my blog....have a great week!!!

ODBDSLC88 It's Sketch Time

Happy weekend!

Our weekend will hopefully be relaxing :) ?!? I need a break and I'm counting down the days till I'm off...yeah!

I only had a chance to make one card for the Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC88. We have an easy one for you....it's a Sketch.

Here is my take on it....

I couldn't help myself and used the gorgeous Simple Things Set again. The clover image was inked in Memento Black and this time I actually used the matching Clover Die along with it. As you can tell I switched the panel to the left side :) !!! The DP in the background is from the BoBunny Et Cetera Collection and decided to *edge distress* it. I also added a Large Striped Black Ribbon below and added a little bit of *scoring* and a punched out MS border on the bottom. At last I added the sentiment and the Silver Pearls.

For more beautiful samples please swing by ~SabrinaFrancie, LoriChrisSue and don't forget our December/January Guest Wanda Cullen. Have fun crafting!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

                                                                  Hugs ~Silke~

The image was inked in Tuxedo Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ E27, R14, R22, R24, G93, YG67 and Colorless Blender. The Design Paper in the background is from the BoBunny Father Christmas Collection. For embellishement I added the Red/Cream Striped Ribbon, a Doily and some Silver Pearls.

ODBDSLC87 Bookmark...and C4C116 It's Movie Time!!!

Happy weekend you all!

It's a big weekend here in Statesboro....our Georgia Southern University Football Team made it into the FCS playoffs...GO EAGLES! It will be crazy here in town today!!! We are super lucky with the weather, it suppose to be in the mid to upper 60's....can't complain for December.

Anyway, in the middle of all this craziness this week, I had a chance to sit down and create two different projects. My first one is for the Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC87. This week we are challenging you to create a *BOOKMARK*!!! Easy peasy right?!? It can be a corner bookmark, a card with a bookmark, a ribbon bookmark, a magnetic bookmark...anything with a bookmark!!! Have fun crafting!

I was very excited about using the brand new Simple Things image.....isn't it gorgeous? It even comes with a matching die!!! I randomly stamped the image with SU Old Olive and added the bee's in SU Chocolate Brown. I layered the bookmark with SU Chocolate and Kraft CS. The DP on top is from the BasicGrey Basic Manila. Next I sprayed the bookmark with some Glimmer Mist, then I added some Laced Cotton Ribbon, Brown/White Gingham Ribbon, a matching Button with some Brown Scrapper's Floss, the SU Antique Brad on top and some Brown Pearls.....voila!

For more inspiration and beautiful samples please visit the team ~SabrinaFrancie, Lori
ChrisSue and please help us welcome the super sweet and talented Wanda Cullen as our new Guest Designer for December and January!!!

*******************************************************************************

Now onto the Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C116. The theme this week is to make a card, or project inspired by your favorite *CHRISTMAS MOVIE*. My card was inspired by the sweet *One Magic Christmas* Movie.

I immediately thought of the Flourishes Joy is in the Air Set.

The image was inked with Memento Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ B00, B91, B93, C1, C2, E35, Y08, RV24 and Colorless Blender. I layered the finished colored image onto the Spellbinder Picot Edge Circle Die and stamped the sentiment from the same set on the side.  The Blue DP is from the BasicGrey Nordic Holiday Collection. Next I added some piercing on the side, the Large Striped Ribbon, the Button and the Silver Cord, the Silver Pearls and at last I bedazzled the image with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

Please makes sure to swing by the C4C Blog to see all the beautiful ideas the *Crazies* had!

Wishing you a wonderful, fun weekend! I'll be back on Tuesday hosting the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge...hope you'll stop by again?!?
