CQC148 Just a Note...

Happy Tuesday!

This is a quick post today...as always it's been a bit crazy here at the Ledlow castle! The girls met their new teachers yesterday...so much excitement. I was totally worn out after we had travel to the Elementary, Middle and High School this year! Sarah, Becca and Miriam are really excited for their first day of school tomorrow...yeah...and so is Jerry and I...LOL!!! 

Here is my take on this weeks Color Q #148....

The image from the Flourishes Summer Blossoms Set. The image itself was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers.

I combined the Color Q palette with this weeks Retro Sketch #22.....

Catered Crop Recipe Swap, Clean & Simple #201

Happy Sunday to you!

I have the pleasure of showing off the Japanese Washi Making Tape Trio - Expresso Cafe Mocha...sound yummy doesn't it??? It was really quick and easy to add the tape to my card.....so I made a second one.

Both of the cards were inked in SU Early Espresso. Both sentiments are from the ODBD With Deepest Sympathy Set. I added some Brown Pearls on both cards and on the last card I added some Flowers...voila!!!

Both of my layouts were inspired by this weeks Clean & Simple Sketch #201......

Happy weekend...

Are looking forward to the Olympics??? Did you watch the opening ceremony? I thought it was really neat!!! The British sense of humor tickled me....I loved the scene when the Queen jumped out of the helicopter with James Bond!!!

I love Christmas in July.....how about you?!? Matter of fact that is the Flourishes topic for today!

My card was created with the Flourishes Classic White CS. I could not resist pulling out the super duper cute snowman from the Warm Winter Wishes Set. The image was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ R14, R27, B23, B24, E29, C1, C3. The background panel was embossed with the Grunge Stripe Embossing Folder. Next I added a Doily, some Red/Cream Striped Ribbon, some Metallic White Curling Ribbon, a Red Button and some Glitter.

CQC147 A Happy Hello....

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all had a great weekend??? We had Rebecca and Miriam's bedrooms painted this weekend. They are fighting like cats and dogs lately.....and it was time to separate them...wink!!! Does that sound familiar to you??? They were sharing a Jack & Jill setting and we had to place them each into another corner of the house. Lots of work, but hopefully this will solve some of the issue :) ?!?

Other then that we went shopping for school stuff...yeah...our girls are going back to school August, 1st. Needless to say Jerry and I are sooooooooo ready to have a routine in our house again!!! 

I did have some precious crafting time and created this card...... 

  

My card was inspired by this weeks Color Q 147...check out this color palette.....

My card came together by inking up the newly release Flourishes Passion Flower Set onto some Flourishes Classic White CS using Memento Tuxedo Black. The image was then colored with these Copic Markers ~ YG11, YG13, YG17, G12, G24, R81, R83, R85 and Colorless Blender. The sentiment is from another Flourishes Set called Medallion Motif. Next I embossed the second layer with an SU Embossing Folder and added the Baja Breeze DP along with the matching Ribbon, a Button & White Scrapper's Floss and some Silver Pearls.

C4C146 Butterflies Flutter By......

Happy weekend everyone!

I'm still trying to catch up from our trip doing laundry, cleaning, crafting, working.....etc....never ending story :) !!!

In between all the craziness I created a card for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C146. The theme is to add *STITCHING*...it can be real or faux.

I have the pleasure showing the sweet Butterflies Flutter By image. The image was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with these Copic Markers ~ YG11, YG13, G21, G24, B12, R14, R27, YR04, YR07 and Colorless Blender. The DP is from SU and it was *faux stitched* with a Black Marker. Next I added a layer of Kraft CS and embellished it with some Orange Stitched Ribbon, a Button with some White Scrapper's Floss. At last I added the Silver Pearls...voila!

It's time for another Flourishes Free For All Friday Challenge!!! The Design Team is sharing projects using some of their favorite Stamp Sets from the July Release.

My first card is showing the Flowers and Frames Set. The image was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and I decided to color the sweet little flowers on the second layer using these Copic Markers ~ YG11, G20, Y15. Again used some of the 123 Create Kits - Country Garden that was also released with this month. The only extra thing I added was the *scored* panel using the Flourishes Classic White CS and the Petite Mini Roses.

Here is my idea....

I immediately thought of the Flourishes Denim Ruffles that I received with one of my older 123 Create Kits. I also used the super cute newly released Flourishes Bike Ride Set. The image was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with these Copic Markers ~ C1, C2, C3, YG11, YG13, G21, G24, B63, B66 and Colorless Blender.

The DP on the side is from the Authentique Genuine Collection. Next I finished the card off with some *scoring*, some Blue Stripe Ribbon, the super cute Floral Brad and some Silver Pearls...voila!

The sentiment was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black. The Kraft DP is from the My Mind's Eye Sunshine Collection. Next I embellished the card with some *scoring*, some gorgeous White Scalloped Lace Trim, SU Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, Kraft Jute Twine,  Silver Pearls, Flower & Leave.

Introducing Bike Ride...

Hello and happy *TGIF*!!!

Today is the last day of the Flourishes Sneak Peeks.......and do we have a cute set for you...check it out!!!

This set is called Bike Ride....

Here is my take on it....

Again, I kept my design clean and simple...by using the fabulous 123 Create Kits....if you have not placed it in your shopping cart yet...you are missing out! The colors are fun and perfect for summer!!!  If you have missed my previous release cards...make sure to see what else I have cooked up with this fun kit.

Here is how my card came together...the image was stamped onto Flourishes Classic White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then I colored it with these Copic Markers ~ CO, C1, C3, Y08, Y15, Y19, R27, G21, G24, YG11, E27 and a Colorless Blender. Next I added some *scoring*..and finished it off with all the goodies from the 123 Create Kits...voila!
