Flourishes Timeless Tuesday

Hello everyone!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend??? Ours was fun, but unfortunately our little Mimi got sick Sunday night with a high fever :( !!! We went to see the doctor yesterday and she was given antibiotics right away!!! Unfortunately all the funky diseases are floating around in our schools again and it was just a matter of time till we get it!!! At least I get to stay home with her and I'm able to work from home today...plus lots of snuggling times are in the forecast :) !!!

We have an easy Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC85 going on this week!!! Dee is the challenge host and she is challenging us to create a *CELEBRATION* card!!! Celebrate anyway you like! You can choose any theme ~ baby, birthday, friendship, holiday, or come up with you own reason to celebrate! Hope you come and play along!!!

Now that I'm working in a large office I need tons of *birthday cards*!!! Matter of fact October is another busy one!!!

I used the beautiful sunflower image from the Sunflowers Set. The sentiment is from the Many Sentiments Set. The sunflower was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~  Y15, Y17, Y19, Y35, E27, E37, E39, E47, G24, YR19, R27 and Colorless Blender.  I added two different DP's from the PinkPaislee Collection. According to some of the extra challenges I played I added some *Faux Stitching*. The awesome Lace Ribbon in the BG was given to me by my friend Judy.  I topped the card off with some piercingDazzling Diamond Glitter and some Chocolate Pearls.

Now it's time to check out the rest of the team ~  Barbara, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Maki!!!

Here some fun ideas I've added to my card :
Stampin' Royalty #37 ~ Stitching
Secret Crafter #101 ~ Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' #44 ~ Stitching
Scrappekammeret #15 ~ Use two different kind of DP's and stamped text
Stempel Maggie #19 ~ Autumn Colors
Paper Sundaes #36 ~ Fall Colors
Totally PaperCrafts  #34 ~ Happy Birthday

Have a fabulous week and as always thank you for stopping by!!! Hugs ~S~

Curtain Call Act 48 Autumn Leaves

Happy Sunday you all!!!

I'm so thrilled that our GSU Volleyball Team won the Invitational Championship last night...yeah!!! They fought so hard and deserve this awesome honor!!! GO EAGLES!!!

In between all the volleyball action the last couple of day I created this card for today's Curtain Call Act #48. Stacey, just knows how to keep a big smile on my face with her fabulous color combos :) !!! Check out this weeks colors I know you will love them too...........

Here is my take on it...

I couldn't help it and had to ink up my poor neglected new Papertrey Ink ~ Falling Leaves. I thouhgt it was perfect for this color combo :) !!!

The DP in the BG is from the Rich Razzleberry Collection. The branch was inked in Wild Wasabi and the leaves were inked randomly with the rest of the Curtain Call colors. Before I inked the images up I decided to add some piercing and some scoring on the side. The sentiment was inked in Rich Razzleberry. I added a matching SU Button and tied it off with some White Scrapper's Floss that I colored with a Rich Razzleberry Marker.

Don't forget to checkout the Curtain Call Team:

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments
                                     Jean Martin ~ Stampin' Scrapper
Julie Lacey ~ Stamps & Taxes

Piali Biswas ~ Touch of Creation
Stacey Schafer ~ Stacey's Stamping Stage
Teresa Kline  ~ Enjoy the VA Sunshine

and our September Guest Designer, Vicki Dutcher ~ All I Do is Stamp.

Just in case you are feeling crafty...come and play the Sketch Joycelyn has created for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C55 !!! Check it out......

Here is my take on it....I flipped the Sketch sideways!!!

I coudn't resist playing in this weeks IC250 ~ Garnett Hill. Once I saw the Garnett Hill shopping site I immediately knew I wanted to ink up my new PI Sets called ~ Being Cute Is What I Do. I simply chose the Kids Clothing Site for my inspiration and changed the colors to this weeks CQC50.

I also played along in this weeks CBC100B-Themed Embellishements!!! I used a Button, Brown Pearls, Bow, *Birthday* themed card.

My PI girl was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers ~ G24, G14, E47, R39, R22, YR07 and Colorless Blender. The BG was embossed with this dotted Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I also scored on each side of the dotted sides and finished the card off with some Ribbon, Button, Scrap Floss, Pearls and the birthday sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the CrazyTeam for their take on the Sketch ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Tammy.

The DP is from the new SU Elegant Soiree Collection. The tree, swing, bird house and sentiment were inked in Early Espresso. The boots and leaves were inked in Always Artichoke and I randlomly added some Crumb Cake leaves as well. I really love the look of these rich colors!!! To finish the card off I added some matching Brown Satin Ribbon, the Brown Pearls and the Button.

C4C54, IC249 Friend

Happy weekend everyone!!!

Hope you have something fun planned??? I think I'll take some extra naps this weekend and recuperate from this past week....working full-time again is kickin' my fanny :) !!! So much to do so little time!!!

Anyway, I'm here to show off my card for this weeks C4C Challenge ~ C4C54. Joycelyn is still our host and she has cooked up with this fabbo color combo for us to try!!! Hope you'll get inky and play along???

Here is my take on it....

My card was inspired by this weeks IC249 ~ Cost Plus World Market!!! I love that store and all the fun items they carry...I'm so lucky we have a store down in Savannah :) !!! I ran with these iron butterflies as I was able to incooperate them onto my *Hinged Card*.

The Stamp Set I used is from the SU Great Friend Set. The DP is from the Red Riding Hood Collection. The top of the Kraft CS was punched out with the Scallop Edge Punch. I added a new SU Antique Brad for the *hinge*. The card was finished off with some scoring, Black Pearls and the Black Satin Ribbon.

Please check out the CrazyTeam for all the samples ~ Angela, Barbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, JoycelynLyndaMaria, Silke K. and Tammy.

Have a wonderful weekend!!! See ya again tomorrow with my new Curtain Call creation!!! Hugs ~S~
