OCC Crazy for Hearts - Casing Vicky Gould, ssnotime72 and IC165

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

*Crazy for Hearts* is today's OCC Challenge theme!!! Swing by the OCC blog to find out all the details!!!

First I would like to show you the card I made in conjuction with this weeks OCC Challenge. My main inspiration came from this past weeks *Featured Stamper Challenge #103*-Vicky Gould!!!

Vicky is a fabulous Stamper and she is so sweet too!!! She always leaves the nicest comments!!!

Her gallery is devine and I found this card to case. I changed the colors, the theme, did some piercing, attached a Hat Pin and added a couple more layers.

I couldn't resist using my yummy PTI *Raspberry Fizz* CS!!! I combined it with Whisper White and Pink Pirouette. The hearts are from the *Best Wishes & More* Set and the sentiment is from the *A Happy Heart* Set.

I started out with the centerpiece...I punched out the Raspberry Fizz scallops with the SU *Scalloped Edge* Punch and then I adhered it to the Pink Pirouette CS. Next I pierced a row on both sides. Then I punched out three *White 1 3/8" Circles* and attached the trimmed *Raspberry Fizz hearts* with Stampin Dimensionals. The circles, the bottom panel and the centerpiece panel were all raised with Stampin Dimensionals. I added a *Raspberry Fizz Ribbon* in between the panels plus added a *Hat Pin with Pearls*. The sentiment was attached with some matching *Scrappers Floss*. At the end I added the Hat Pin.
**************************

Next is my card for the IC165 and ssnotime72.

I was inspired by this *Love Note* and I also used Sharon's Challenge theme *Love is in the Air* for my inspiration!!! Can you tell Valentine is right aroud the corner - LOL?!?

This Set is from *There She Goes* called *Year Round Sentiments*!!!

I used this Sketch that was featured by Julee Tilman a while back and I think it fits this Set perfectly!!! Click here to see another card I made with the same Set for Thanksgiving.

I used so much pink the last few days that I had to use the red writing on the inspiration piece and switch to one of my favorite combos - Black, White and Red Color Combo...love it!!!

First I created the Real Red CS with the *Heart Blocks* Cuttlebug folder. Next I inked the image in Basic Black and the heart in Real Read. I punched the circles with the 1 3/8", 1 1/2" and the Scalloped Circle Punch. I raised the heart and the circles with Stampin Dimensionals. I also added some small Red Rhinestone Brads on the image and the larger ones on the side. Before I attached everything I added this Black Satin Ribbon I bought at Stamper's Dream.

I kinda like how this card turned out - I think I need to make a few more!!!

Can you tell I was on a roll last night..... I made a cute little matching *Pillow Treat Box*.

I used the 3M Multipurpose Transparency paper (Office Max) and cut it with the Sizzix *Pillow Box Die* from SU. The box was adhered with Sticky Strips. Then I dressed the box up with the same elements from the card and filled it with some yummy Jelly Beans.

I hope we inspired you to play along??? Looking forward seeing your creations!!!

On a sad note....Denise is having her last day with us OCC girls.....I know I'll miss her fabulous creations already, but I know she'll play along once in a while!!! See you in blogland my friend!!!

Have a great weekend!!! ~TFL~

TSG Sneak Peek, #3, LSC205

Happy TGIF!!!

Today is the last day of *There She Goes* Sneak Peeks!!! Hope you've enjoyed all the cards you have seen so far?!?

This beautiful Set is called *Flowers of Happiness* and it was partly designed by Petty Utley.

The layout I used is from Jen del Muro's SFYTT Sketch this past Saturday!!! I think it worked perfectly with this image!!!

The colors I used for this card are - Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. The image and sentiment were inked in Memento *Rich Cocoa* and the leaves were colored with the Prisma Marker - Green Tea. I don't know if you can tell....but I stamped another image from the same Set onto the Pink Pirouette CS using the same color Ink (click on the photo for close up). I had to add the yummy Satin Chocolate Chip Ribbon. Right below I attached some Copper Eyelet and some Halfback Pearls.

*******************************************************

Here is a quick card I made for the LSC205 this morning. I love simple white cards and of course I had to squeeze this one in - LOL!!!

I randomly inked this new *Flowers of Happiness* Set in Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango. The sentiment was also inked in Baja Breeze. Next I added the cute little Styled Silver Ribbon Slider and tied the Tangerine Tango Ribbon - voila!!!

Don't forget to play along in the *There She Goes Monthly Challenge* - use Stampin Dimensional on your project and added to the Gallery under *TSG03*. More info can be found on Jessica's blog!!!

Roses and Chocolate....yummy!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

Today is the second Sneak Peek for *There She Goes*. The Set we are showing you today is called *Roses & Chocolate*.

This fabulous Set is a design concept by no other then our awesome DT member *Faith Hofrichter* !!! If you haven't settled on a Valentine Set yet - this is definitely a yummy one!!!

For my card I used Pink Pirouette, Rose Regals and Whisper White. I colored the box of chocolate with Copic and Prisma Markers.

As most of you already know....the *There She Goes Challenge Theme* this month is to use *Stampin Dimensionals* and I sure used a lot of them!!!

I used the Mojo71 Sketch for my layout. The sentiment and the image were inked in Memento *Rich Cocoa*. Did you know that this is the best ink to stamp your images if you use Copic or Prisma Markers??? I learned this helpful hint from my buddy Denise - thanks GF!!!

To dress the card up a bit I embossed the Pink Pirouette CS with the CB folder *Heart Blocks*. The Ribbon is from SU - 5/8" Regal Rose and I added the fancy Styled Silver Ribbon Holder. At the end I added some Silver Brads.

Want to win a TSG Mini Set??? Comment on this post thru tomorrow, Friday at 7:00pm EST for a chance to win !!!! We will announce the winner during the *RELEASE PARTY* this Saturday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm over on *Paper Craft Planet*!!!

TSG Sneak Peek and SC213, CC203 Butterfly Happiness

Happy Wednesday!!!

Today starts the Sneak Peek for *There She Goes*. We'll be showing you 3 different Set's the next few days!!!

We are starting out with the Set called *Very Punny*. As you can tell it's a fun one!!! This Set is also a design concept by our super talented Team member Holly McMillen!!!

Since I didn't get a chance to play the CC203 yesterday.... I thought I'd use it on my card today!!! Jessie did a fab job hosting the Challenge yesterday by choosing the following colors - Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Garden Green. Another combo I would have never tried - LOL!!! But I'm glad I did, because I think it's too darn cute!!! Perfect for my little whale image I used from the featured Set!!!

The sentiment and image were stamped in Memento *Tuxedo Black* Ink. The whale was water colored with Baja Breeze and the water with Pacific Point. Next I layered the image with more Pacific Point, Whisper White and Garden Green. The last layer was again Whisper White and I pierced around the square. I dressed the card up with some Pacific Point Ribbon using a Styled Silver Ribbon Holder. I also added some Silver Brads. Of course I used tons of Stampin Dimensionals for the *There She Goes Challenge* that's going on over on Jessica Knutsen's blog .

**************************************

Next is my card for the SC213 I made last night.

The Sketch was so fun that I had to play along right away!!! I couldn't sleep again..... and at least creating the card kept me busy!!!

The card came together fairly quickly. I used the same colors as the above card CC203. I used another Set from *There She Goes* called *Butterfly Happiness*. The DP is from the Pacific Point Pattern Collection. I inked the vine image lightly with the Baja Breeze Ink first and then I added the sentiment with the Garden Green Ink. Next I layered the sentiment with Baja Breeze, Pacific Point plus the larger Whisper White CS - which I pierced.

According to the Sketch I added the flowers (Walmart) - dressing it up with the SU Filigree Flower plus some smaller Martha Stewart ButterflyPunch (Michael's). Again - I added tons of Stampin Dimensionals by raising the different panels.
Please check out my Team members card as well Holly, Faith, Bev, Maki and Stephanie.

Hope you'll stop by again tomorrow to see the second part of the Sneak Peek?!? ~TFL~

TECC52VC Live Life

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and had a chance to stamp???

For our family the weekends are usually very busy....our girls had a basketball team and kicked butt big time - they won *27:40* and my oldest Sarah scored 26 points out of the 40 - wahhooo!!! All the girls did a fab job!!! I'm sooooo proud of them!!! My husband is coaching the team and as you can imagine he is the proudest coach right now - LOL!!!

Anyway - I did have a chance to make a card for Taylor's one year Anniversary Sketch. This Sketch was created by Vicki Chrisman.

I thought I'd use the cute sentiment from Treehouse Stamps called *Live Life Passionately*. I was in a purple mood last night - LOL - and used my Papertrey Ink *Plum Pudding* Collection!!! I combined it with the *Pretty in Pink* from SU. I received these gorgeous flowers for Christmas from my friend Denise - Thanks GF I love them!!!
I scored the longer PP CS. For the scallop border I used the Scalloped Edge Punch . The flowers were dressed up with some Pearls and I also added some on the side.

Before I forget - Jessica Knutsen is also celebrating her first year blogging. Jessica is giving away *THREE* Stamp Sets!!! Click here for more info!!!

Have a great week!!!~TFL~

OCC Challenge Follow your heart, IC164 Welcome Home

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

It's time for another fun OCC Challenge!!! Swing by the OCC blog to find out *who* our Guest is!?! Guess what - Jennifer also has an awesome *prize* to give away!!!

Recently a very dear friend of ours got engaged!!! Today's Sketch helped me to finally create a card for the special occasion!!! I hope my friend is gonna like it???

If you are like me....and you got sucked into the *Rub-Ons must have* and now you are stuck with them....I have an idea on how to use them!!!

On my card I used the flourishes from the *Cherishes Memories* and the sentiment from the *Eastern Elegance* Rub-Ons. The DP is - believe it or not - from the past SU Halloween Collection *Ghostly Greetings*!!! The Stamp Set is one of my fav's from SU *Boho Backgrounds*. If you would like to see other cards I made with this fun Set - click here.

Once I added the DP to my card I started to score two lines on each side. Next I added the Rub-ons. I inked four medallions in Versamark and embossed them with Black EP. The two top medallions were punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and the bottom ones with the
1 3/4" Circle Punch. Before I raised all four medallions with Stampin Dimensionals I added the large Silver Eyelets and the large clear Rhinestones. To dress it up a bit more I added a Black Satin Ribbon from *Stamper's Dream*!!!

Hope you will have a chance to play along??? If you need more inspiration swing by every ones blog - Amy Sheffer, Cindy Haffner, Dawn Easton, Denise Marzec, Jennifer Meyer, Julee Tilman, Laurie Schmidlin, Lynda Benden, Jackie Pedro and Kim Teasdale.

*******************************

I haven't had a chance to play in the Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.....and I so love to play along!!!

Not this time....while everyone was already sleeping in my house...I got crafty - LOL!!!

This time Stef inspired us with some beautiful Calenders for the IC164.

I have chosen this Calender. I don't have a Barn image...but the *welcoming feel* I sensed from this image inspired me to use this beautiful Set called *Welcome Home* from *There She Goes*.

Did you know that Jessica designs her own Stamps??? I think she does a wonderful job and I have so much fun crafting with them!!!

This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The colors of the Calender inspired me as well... this is how I ended up using the following - Whisper White, Real Red and Chocolate Chip CS. I added a Copper Eyelet on tied it off with the Taffeta Chocolate Chip Ribbon.

The sentiment and the image were inked in Memento *Rich Cocoa* and then colored with Copic Markers - R29 Lipstick Red and YG91 Putty as well as Prisma Markers - PM-197 Green Tea, PM-132 Jasmine. The door frame was colored with the SU Creamy Caramel Marker.

Hope you like my take on the IC and the OCC Sketch??? Have a wonderful weekend!!! ~TFL~

SC212 Thanks.....

Hello everyone!!!

Have you seen today's SC212 - I thought it's a tough one. I really had to think hard to come up with something!!! I really wanted to play, since all my kiddos are back to school - wahhoooo!!!

So I was sitting in my craft room browsing thur the older catalogs and there it was - the *So Much* Set. I always loved this Set....once I saw Faith Hofrichter creating some cards with it I knew I had to buy this Set too!!!!

The colors I used today are - Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, Marigold Morning. The Designer Paper is from the *new* Delicate Dots Collection that will be available in the upcoming *SALE-A-BRATION* Brochure.

First I inked the flowers in Versamark and embossed them with Black EP. I trimmed them, added the Antique Eyelets and Rhinestones. Next I added Stampin Dimensionals on all the flowers to create different heights. The Bashful Blue panel was embossed with the *Dots* Embossing Brass Template. After I created the centerpiece I added the Antique Brass Label Holder with the sentiment. I tied it all together with a Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon.

Hope you like it??? Have a wonderful day!!! ~TFL~

CC202, Mojo70 You and Me....

Happy Day everyone!!!

It's about time that I participate in the Color Combo Challenge again.....I've been so swamped with housework, trying to catch up....plus it didn't help that my kiddo's were home for MLK-day.

Anyway - I'm so happy I had a chance to stamp this morning....the CC202 colors are - Regal Rose, Bavo Burgandy and Kiwi Kiss. Hmmmm - I wouldn't thought of this Colors Combo at all, but I must admit it looks really nice.

I used an old time favorite Set of mine *Art of Life*. I saw Julee Tilman's Mojo70 yesterday and knew I wanted to give it a try.

I think it is one of the easiest cards I ever made too - LOL. My goal was to minimize the Bravo Burgandy as much as possible, since it is such a dark color. I used it on the flower background and the sentiment - which is from the *Best Yet* Set. At the end I added some Silver Brads - voila.

Hope you like my take on the CC??? Have a great day!!! ~TFL~

OCC Technique Challenge.....

Happy Saturday!!!

Are you all ready to play along in this weeks OCC Challenge??? Today Jennifer asked us to use the *Emboss Resist* technique!!! I haven't done this in a while, but I was excited to try it again!!!

My card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I used Kraft, Bashful Blue and Whisper White CS. As well as the Glossy CS for my image.

I started out by inking the *Upsy Daisy* image in Versamark. Then I embossed the flowers with the retired Maze EP from the Earth Powder Stack. Next I inked the *moon* with the smaller dot from the *Dots Are Hot* Set in Versamark and embossed it with White EP. My next step was to sponge the background....I used Bashful Blue, Soft Sky and Tangerine Tango Ink for it. I was actually trying to create a pretty afternoon sunset.....I'm not sure if I succeeded, but I kinda like how it turned out!!! What do you think???

After I was done with the image I started embossing the Bashful Blue CS with the *Mesh* Cuddlebug folder. Below I layered the Kraft CS. Next I raised the image with Stampin Dimensionals and started piercing on the right hand side. Something was missing.... so I added the Silver Brads. At last I inked the sentiment from the H&M Set *A Time of Caring* in Basic Black.
Please swing by Amy Sheffer, Cindy Haffner, Dawn Easton, Denise Marzec, Jennifer Meyer, Julee Tilman, Laurie Schmidlin, Lynda Benden, Jackie Pedro and Kim Teasdale's blog to see their version of the technique!!! ~TFL~

If you want to play along and don't know how to use this technique, please use this link over at SCS for instructions http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/embossing_resist

Have fun!!!

Next I colored the chairs with the following Copic Markers - Putty (YG91), Lipstick Red (R29) and Skin White (E00).

The Real Red panel and the River Rock panel were raised with Stampin Dimensionals. The DP was punched with the SU *Scalloped Edge* Punch. I added a Silver *Library Clip* with the Ribbon I bought at Michael's. At the end I added the Silver Brads.

*I love my Roses* Set......

Happy TGIF everyone!!!

It's been pretty busy around here....my girls are finally back in school and I had a chance to straighten up my house again!!!

I haven't had much time to stamp the last couple days....but here is a card I squeezed in yesterday!!!
I received my new *I love Roses* Set from Flourishes - it was mailed so fast that I feel so guilty that I have not inked it up - LOL! !!

Remember the Flourishes Blog Candy I was able to give away thanks to Flourishes??? Well Holly B. was the lucky Winner and her favorite Set from Flourishes is this *I love Roses* Set.....since it was so close to Christmas I surprised Holly with this particular Set as a Bonus from my home to hers.....I also promised that I would show you all some samples!!! Here is my first one!!!

I started out with a Whisper White base and added the yummy new Papertrey Ink *Raspberry Fizz* CS. The RF CS was embossed with the Cuddlebug folder *Leafy Branch* and raised it up with Stampin Dimensionals.

The blooms were colored in *Raspberry Fizz* and the petals in *Always Artichoke* Ink onto Watercolor CS . Then I used my Aqua Painter to color the inside of the image. Next I tore the CS around the image and layered it onto *White Mulberry Paper*. This panel was also raised with Stampin Dimensionals. My next step was to add the *Styled Silver Label Holder* - the sentiment inside is from the same Set and it was inked in Basic Black and punched out with the small *Oval Punch*. I attached the Label Holder with the Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon.

I felt like something was missing....so I started piercing right below the sentiment and below the image panel. At last I added some *Angel* Shimmerz that my bud Denise has surprised me with for Christmas!!! Thanks Denise - I love my Shimmerz!!!! If you like.... click on the little photo to see the sparkels close up!!!

What do you think - do you like it???~TFL~

CC200 Tough Colors and a bonus card.....

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Today's CC200 is - Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green. Some tough colors to combine!!! I thought I'd keep it really simple!!!

I embossed the Brilliant Blue CS with the *Leafy Branch* folder. The flower from the new *Echoes of Kindness* Set was colored with the Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green Marker. The inside of the blooms were colored with PP Ink and a Blender Pen. Next I stamped the sentiment from the *All Holidays* in Brilliant Blue Ink. This whole panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals and I added some piercing on the side.

What do you think about this fun St. Patrick Day's image???? Even though I'm not Irish - I really think it is sooooo fun!!!
Did you know that Savannah, GA has a really huge population of Irish immigrants??? Every year they are celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a fun parade.....hopefully this year I'll have a chance to check it out!!!
Anyway - this new Set will be Released by *Treehouse Stamps* on January 9th!!!
Some of you have asked me how I do I do my clouds...I punched out two of the Scallop Circle CS, matched them up and started sponging....it's very simple and I just played around until I liked the results!!!
The BG DP is from the retired *Holiday Harmony* Collection. I inked the image in Black Stazon and colored it with Copic Markers. The clouds were inked in Bashful Blue. Next I layered the image onto Always Artichoke and Whisper White CS. For the *gold* I used some Stickles. To finish it all up I added the row of Gold Brads.

FS100 Welcome Home.....

Happy Sunday!!!

Can you believe it's already the 100th Featured Stamper Challenge??? Beth is featuring the fabulous *Julie Ebersole* also known as *JulieHHR*.

I have never been to Julie's gallery before, let me tell you there is soooo much *eye candy* - that you really need to stop by and let your imagination go wild!!! I found this cute little card to case.

The reason I chose this one was, I just received the newly released *There She Goes* Set called *Welcome Home* and I had to ink it up....!!!

Here are the changes I made:

- Different layout & size.
- I used different CS - Close to Cocoa, River Rock and Very Vanilla.
- My image was colored with Copic Markers instead of Watercolor Pencils.
- I added some piercing instead of Ribbon plus added some Mini Brads.
- I almost forgot I also added some scoring on top of my card.....

Have a great weekend and ~TFL~.

I received this cute *A Happy Heart* Set from Santa!!! I thought it would work perfect with this layout.

I used Regal Rose and Old Olive Markers to color it. The sentiment is from the retired *Fancy Flexible Phrases* and it was inked in Old Olive. I started out with a Whisper White base and added the retired *Loves Me* DP. Next I added the colored image and layered it onto Regal Rose and Old Olive CS. The heart on the side is a Chipboard from the *On Board Accents* and I bedazzled it with Martha Stewart Glitter. The beautiful scalloped Velvet Ribbon is from Cosmo Cricket and the wonderful Ashley Bowen has sent it to me!!! Thank you Ashley!!!

FFFC4,LSC201 With Graditute

Happy New Year and TGIF!!!

I can't believe a new year has started.....boy oh boy time flies by fast!!! I don't know about you, but I totally failed on my last years resolution - I wanted to lose 30 pounds....well, I was somewhat good and had lost 17 pounds, but as the girls started *Summer Break*.....these hard lost pounds creeped right back on...at least 12 of them - LOL!!!

Well, another year another try - I have no idea where my willpower has gone....LOL??? Has anyone seen it??? Please give it back to me.....I really need it - LOL!!!

Hope your resolutions for this new year will come true!!! I keep my fingers crossed for you and me!!!

Anyhow - my card is for the LSC201 - *My Favorite Things* and the *Flourishes Friday Challenge* - FFFC4 - use something *NEW TO YOU*.

I must have been a really good girl this past year....Santa has brought me a whole bunch of new goodies!!! I love Santa - he's the best - he,he,he!!!!

I used my brand spankin' new Papertrey Ink CS *Raspberry Fizz* plus Ribbon!!! I also received a new box of the SU *Pretties Kit* - I love those hat pins and had to use a new one on my card!!!
The base of my card is Pink Pirouette CS. I inked the large sentiment image from the *Thank You* Set in Pink Pirouette. Next I created the scalloped edge with the SU Punch. The flower was inked in *Raspberry Fizz* - I colored the inside with the Ink using a Blender Pen - and the stem was inked in *Kiwi Kiss*. The sentiment is from the same *Thank You* Set and was inked in Versamark then I embossed it with some White EP. Next I tore the right side of the Whisper White CS and distressed the other corners. The flower image was layered onto Kiwi Kiss CS and raised with Stampin Dimensionals. ~TFL~
