BIC26 Forever Friends and A Dream

Happy Tuesday you all!!!

Isn't this one fabulous looking living room Beate has chosen???

Even though it is gorgeous I had a hard time to get inspired.....I think I'm losing my Mojo....!!!

I started making my first card, but wasn't really excited about it.....so I made another card.

I took two different approaches and I'm still not sure which one I like....take a look for yourself!!!

My first card took me into a totally different direction..... - I think it came out to elegant for the cosy Inspiration Piece??? What do you think???

I used the blue pillows as my inspiration. I don't use *blue* a lot so I was very limited on what I could create. I think this was my last sheet from the Night of Navy CS....I had to come up with something simple....

The image is from the newly released *A Dream* Set from *Little Paper Shop* and since I'm behind in showing it off - I thought it would look really great in the center of my card!!!

To dress it up a bit I added some Halfback Pearls and a Hat Pin!!! The Satin Ribbon is also Navy and I bought it at Walmart. Hope you like it???
Here is my second approach on the BIC.....

This time I used the sandy/krafty color looking pillow as my inspiration.

My base card is Kraft CS and I used the gorgeous new SU Set *Beautiful Borders* (pg.132).

The image was inked in Night of Navy. I left enough space on each side so I could pierce. Next I distressed the Whisper White and Night of Navy CS. Below I added another Whisper White CS and tore the bottom before I layered the rest of the panel.

Then I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and added some Clear Rhinestones. All items are SU!!!

Hope you like it??? If you have time - play along!!!

Make sure to check out Beate, Charmaine, Danielle, Dawn, Jennifer and Susan!!! ~TFL~

You get my vote for best inspiration card this week. I love the first card. Too elegant? Not possible. It is truly beautiful.

So pretty! I love the pearls and the clean, elegant look of that first card-wouldn't that make a beautiful invitation-type card, too? You are so good w/ white cs. I feel like everything I do w/ white is too 'stark" but you always make them look so elegant and beautiful...great job!!!!

Your mojo looks perfectly intact to me. These are stunning! Love the black and white with kraft combo for it's casualness but the pearls and stick pin are also stunning. Loveliness!

These are both beautiful Silke! Of course I am a bit biased towards the second one because you used Kraft... I'm lovin' that color right now! :)

Silke, these are GORGEOUS! I love the elegance of the first one with the pearls and stick pin. I have the pretties set, mainly bought it for the pins, and I still haven't used it. Seeing this card totally makes me want to try.

Stunning, simply stunning, each in their own way. I LOVE both of the cards, again each in their own way. You did an awesome take on this challenge.

Hi Silke: I'm ecstatic that I finally purchased (and am waiting for) Beautiful Borders. You were my enabler.

These cards are so beautiful. The first so simple but incredibly elegant (loved that you used the hat pin . . . I really struggle with uses for the pretties--especially the hatpins). And the second is trés cool with the border and torn edging below.

Great work . . . Mary

Both cards are great but I think I like the second one. I like the kraft and navy together (like the color combo in clothes too) and the torn piece-very pretty. tfs
