Flourishes Timeless Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!!!

Are you ready for another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday???

The wonderful and super talented Dee Jackson is the hostess this week. She is challenging us to *GO GREEN*!!! What does that mean? Well, it means that you have to find something to redo, to reuse, so we can say we recycled!!! I know you have many items that were created that did not quite make it on a card and you stashed it away for another time. Also, there are all kinds of non-craft items in the home waiting to be reused for something crafty. So, the time is now!!!! Let us go green and recycle those items!!!!

For my card today I used some left over Certainly Celery CS - I tore it and added some Candle Light Shimmerz onto the torn edge. The top part was distressed and I also added some Shimmerz.

The ribbon is actually from a birthday party my daughter Rebecca went to two weekends ago. The girls were given some *thank you* cookies all wrapped up and tied with this super cute bright ribbon - I took it off the wrap and held on to it!!! As you can tell it came in handy for today's Challenge :)!!!

To my pleasant surprise it matches the PTI Raspberry Fizz color perfectly - wahooo!!! The button is from the new PTI Hibiscus color - perfectly match as well!!!

The roses are from the fabulous Flourishes *I love Roses* Set!!! I inked them twice in Raspberry Fizz and cut them out. The first rose was water colored with the same color and then I added some Candle Light Shimmerz. On the second rose I only added Shimmerz. The leaves were inked in Certainly Celery and softly water colored with the same color. I also added some Shimmerz to the leaves. Each of the roses were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

At the end I inked the sentiment from the Flourishes *Mixed Greetings* Set with Basic Black and added some piercing on the top of the card.

Now it's your turn to get your left overs, put set a side items out or just finish up a project you've been holding off - can't wait to see what you will do?!? Make sure you'll stop by the Flourishes Newsletter to see all the Samples as well as all the other information to play along!!!

Please use the keyword *FTTC9* when you download your card to SCS!!!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!!!

TSG Sneak Peek, #3!!!

Hello again - so glad you stopped by for the final *Preview Day*!!!

This Set *Taste like Chicken* is a humorous one - my girls and I laughed our fannies off - LOL!!!

This card is a longer one 3 3/4" x 7 1/4". I used these colors - Kraft, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze plus Watercolor Paper (Art & Supply Store).

I inked the car and trailer image with Black Stazon. The BG was water colored with Kiwi Kiss. The main image was also water colored...using - Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Basic Gray and Chocolate Chip.

The edges of the Watercolor Paper were distressed before I layered it onto the Baja Breeze CS. Next I pierced around the Very Vanilla CS and once I was done I raised this whole panel up with Stampin Dimensionals.

I really thought the sentiment was funny as heck - LOL -*If the trailer is a rockin'.....don't bother knockin'!*

I inked the sentiment in Basic Black. The first part of it was attached with a Chocolate Chip 1/2" Library Clip and I added some Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to it.

The second part was inked inside the card - I finished it by layering the Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla CS.

I'm the end of the *Blog Hop* line and I just want to make sure you'll go and see all the other girls as well.... if you are just starting out on my blog!!!

IF YOU WANT TO WIN ANY OF THESE FEATURED SET'S MAKE SURE YOU COMMENT ON ALL THE TRENDSETTER'S BLOGS TO QUALIFY FOR THE DRAWING and MOST IMPORTANT ADD YOUR NAME TO MR. LINKY!!!

Jessica Knutsen will *show off* all three sets in their entirety on her blog tomorrow!!! As well as the *WINNERS* of the Blog Hop Challenges!!! On Tuesday she will announce the *WINNER* from the TSG05 Challenge ( casing Bev, Stephanie, Wendy and Denise)!!!

*There She Goes* - Sneak Peek #2

Happy Sunday!!!

Today we are featuring the second *There She Goes* Sneak Peek Set - *Tweeterpatend* - designed by Nina Brackett.

I was in the mood to create something super cute with it - just like the Set itself!!!

This card is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The colors I used are - So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink and White.

The DP is from the upcoming *Walk in the Park* Collection - love this DP - have you noticed I'm using it a lot?!? I created the *Recess Window* using the Circle Nestie and for the framing I used the Scalloped Circle Nestie.

The *grass* was trimmed with my little Paper Trimmer. I inked the little *eggshell* in Pretty in Pink onto the same color CS and cut it out. Next I ran it thru my Big Shot using the CB *Dotted* folder. The image itself was inked in Black Stazon and then *water colored* with So Saffron Ink. I also added this cute little *butterfly* on the side...it was stamped in Pretty in Pink.

The sentiment was inked in Black Stazon as well and punched out with the SU Key Tag Punch. The *little flower* was inked in Pretty in Pink and it fits the Trio Flower Punch perfectly!!!

To dress it all up I added the DS Wild Wasabi Ribbon above the little chick. I also added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the butterfly, eggshell and the little flower by the sentiment.

I couldn't stop there...I had to add a little something next to my card - I think I'm excited about Easter coming up - LOL!!! As I was browsing over on the SCS site I found this template and this cute basket!!! Isn't it super cute???

I kept my basket very simple - I used the So Saffron Pattern DP Collection and punched the edges with the Scalloped Edge Punch. At the end I added the same DS Wild Wasabi Ribbon as on my card.

Here is a photo of the card and basket together - just click on it to see it larger!!!

Since I'm the end of the *Blog Hop* line - make sure you stop by all the other Trendsetters to see what they have created - IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO WIN ANY OF THE FEATURED SET'S MAKE SURE TO COMMENT ON ALL THE BLOGS IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE DRAWING - MOST IMPORTANT ADD YOUR NAME TO MR. LINKY!!! Jessica Knutsen, Angela Jones, Becky Carafa, Christi Thorsen, Faith Hofrichter, Gabby Arriaza, Holly McMillen, Jessie Rone, Joanne Grzelak, Jodi Collins, Julie Lacey and Makiko Jones.

See you tomorrow for the last Preview!!! Have a great weekend!!!~TFL~

Oh my, I really had to think about this Color Combo, but after searching for a perfect Stamp Set - I came a cross the *Happy Harmony* Set and figured it would be perfect for the task.

I used the Mojo79 Sketch for my layout. The Not Quite Navy DP is from the Hostess Level I Patterns Pack featured in the past SU Catalog. The Ribbon is from American Crafts. I also used a new EK Success Punch (Michael's) on the top and bottom of the Bashful Blue CS. At the end I added the big Silver Brads.

For all the close ups please visit the OCC ladies on their blog - Cindy, Jennifer, Lori, Kim, Vicki, Frances, Robin, Loretta and Jenny.

This is the *official* right post now - LOL. This card is for the There She Goes - Blog Hop!!!

Well - let me show you the right one we are *featuring* - this Set is called *Cupcake Mix & Match* - designed by Nina Brackett.

The layout is again from the Mojo79 Sketch. I used a monochromatic look on my card using Basic Gray and White.

The DP is from the upcoming *Walk in the Park* Collection. The Punch is from Martha Stewart (Michael's). Of course I had to add my favorite Silver Pearls to spice up the card....LOL!!!

At last I added the Organza Ribbon and raised the main panel up with Stampin Dimensionals.

Since I'm the last in the blog hop line - I want to make sure you get to see all the other Trendsetters as well - REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO COMMENT ON ALL THE BLOGS IN ORDER TO WIN THIS AWESOME SET!!!! Flourishes Timeless Tuesday casing Beate

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Hope you all had a great weekend???

As usual ours went by way tooooo fast!!! My hubby left for a business trip Sunday and I'm home with the girls....so you know I'll be doing some serious stampin' - LOL!!!

Anyway - it's another round of the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - this week brought to you by the fabulous Betty Wright!!!

For detailed information on this Challenge plus all the Samples please visit the Flourishes Blog!!! Don't forget to check out the SPECIAL OFFER ON SPELLBINDER DIES as well!!!!

Betty is challenging us to *EMBOSS IT* our cards/projects. There are a lot of different types of embossing options to choose from. In addition, there are many different techniques to combined with embossing. We would love to see what you all create!!!

My choice of embossing was - dry embossing - using the Cuttlebug Folder *Leafy Branch*. I think it's one of my fav folders!!!

Now to my card - I just had to combined today's *FTTC8* with the *FS111 - featuring Beate*. If I haven't mentioned it before, I adore Beate and love her creations!!!

I have to tell you really quick how much I have grown as a Stamper because of Beate - she was so sweet and allowed me to be part of her past *Be Inspired* Design Team!!! She is and will always be an inspiration to me!!! Beate you will always have a special place in my heart - thank you!!! I decided to case this fabulous *Flourishes Fold Card* from her. I also love how Beate did the inside of her card - click here to see it.

I kept the same layout and changed the following :
- Used different colors - Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze DP.
- Popped my chicks up with Stampin Dimensionals.
- Added a flower (Making Memories - Chloe's Closet Collection)with the button (SU Latte Designer Button).
- Used a different sentiment from the same Set inside the card.
- Plus I added the embossing with the CB *Leafy Branch* folder.

Since I was in a mood to create a little something extra....(actually I was playing with my new Big Shot machine - love that thingy!!!!)..... I decided to make a little matching pillow box and as you can tell I also embossed it with the same CB folder and added the same flower with the SU Latte Designer Button.

Well I hope you like my take on Beate's card??? Now I can't wait to see what kind of embossing you will choose!!! If you want to play along please use the keyword *FTTC8* when you download your card into the gallery!!!

Don't forget to check my friends on their take of the Challenge - Becca, Betty, Cindy, Dee and Kimberly.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

OCC May God Bless you...., IC172, TECC60, LSC212, SDDC6 Mother's Day Card

Hello everyone!!!

This Saturday Kim has created an awesome *Sketch* for us to try. For all the Samples and to see *who* our Guest is please stop by the OCC Blog.

Here is my take on it.

This beautiful *Special Blessing* Set was also one of my *must have* items from the SU Catalog. The Old Olive DP is from the *Walk in the Park* Collection that is featured in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and it will be available April 1st. I used the Oval Spellbinder Nestie's to create the focal image and the Tag Nestie for the sentiment. I tied the tag with a Satin Ribbon. And what can I say - I'm addicted to those fab Silver Pears - LOL!!! The little flower by the cross was punched out with the Trio Flower Punch.

Now it's your turn to show us what you can created with this beautiful Sketch!!! For more inspiration please visit the rest of the OCC ladies - Cindy, Jennifer, Lori, Kim, Vicki, Frances, Robin, Loretta and Jenny.

**********************************************

Here is my card for the IC172 - I chose this super cute little dress. As well as the TECC60, LSC212 and Stamper's Dream *SDDC6* - casing a Design Team Member.

I decided to case by BFF Denise - I chose this super cute card of hers. I like how Denise used the *recess window* on her card. That's what inspired me to use my Bigz Top Note Die and the Oval Nestie to create the recess window on my card.

Next, I used a different layout - the TECC60. I changed the colors - here is where the Inspiration Piece comes in - not only does this dress remind me of a beautiful summer, but I really like the colors - I used - Pretty in Pink, White, Rose Red, Certainly Celery - I added on top ot them - Yoyo Yellow, Plum Pudding and Lavender Lace.

At last I chanced the main image from a swing to flowers - here is where the LSC212 comes into play - using flowers on my main image plus the colors from the Soft Subtlet Collection (Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Lavender Lace) . The Stamp Set is from the new Papertrey Ink March Release called *Life* - isn't it fab??? The sentiment is from the PTI *Women of Life* Set. I couldn't resist adding some Dazzling Diamond Glitter onto the flowers....plus the white and purple flower with the Filigree & Rhinestone Brad.

Anyway -hope that wasn't toooooo confusing - LOL?!? But now you know how this card came about.....I will be mailing this card to my mom for *Mother's Day*- since she lives in Germany - I had to plan ahead.... - hope she will like it?!?

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC210, CCEEC Chicks need to stick together...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Welcome to another round of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!! This week the fabulous Cindy Haffner is hosting this Challenge. She is challenging us to use *RIBBON* !!! You may think…Ribbon??? I use Ribbon all the time. Of course, you do!!! We all do!!! But wait there is a little twist!!!

You may only use a certain type of ribbon all the time…yet you hoard a boat load of others. It is time to cut those ribbons that bind you….LOL!!! Try to venture from your normal comfort zone or try to use ribbon in a different way. Do not fret, though. If you are not feeling awfully adventurous, any card with some ribbon will do!!!! We would love to see what you do either way!!!

Show off your fab Flourishes Set's as well and play along!!! If you don't own any Flourishes Stamps yet, make sure to play along anyway, because you might be the lucky one that will win the prize...!!! Please use the keyword *FTTC7* if you post on SCS!!! More info and all the Samples can be viewed over on the Flourishes Blog!!!

For my card today I used the beautiful *All Wrapped Up* Set and the sentiment is from the *Chairs For You* Set. I thought this would be the perfect image to use, since it goes with the *Ribbon* theme.....LOL!!!

The colors are Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and White (PTI). I added the yummy Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon. To finish it all off I placed some Silver Brads on the left side of the image and also added some Shimmerz to the whole image.

If you like swing by every ones blog to see their close ups - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson and Kimberly Crawford.

***********************************************

In honor of our DT Member Stacy Morgan - *Twinshappy* being the Featured Stamper #110 this week - I thought I'd continue with another little project!!!

Not only was I inspired by Stacy's awesome *Gift Set*, but once I saw my friends Denise's case I knew I wanted to try this with another fabulous Flourishes Set's. I also made a similar card with these Curved Rectangle Nestie's not to long ago for the FTTC5 - you can view it HERE!!!

I used one of my all time favorite Color Combo's - Real Red, Basic Black and White (PTI).

This flower is from the *Thank You* Set. I colored it with Copic Markers - R29, G07 and N1. At last I added the Silver Brads and the Shimmerz and the Black Satin Ribbon!!!

I wish I would had the time to created the purse that goes along with these Note Cards, but I guess I'll have to continue with it this week and show it off all together when I'm done!!!

BTW - if you've never tried Shimmerz before, let me tell you it's easy as 1-2-3 !!! You just add a little bit of the liquid substance onto a fine paint brush and add it to your image - voila!!! They come in all kinds of colors too....so don't be intimated and add some sparkle to your cards!!! It really adds just the right amount of elegance to your project/card!!!

*******************************************

OMG - I was dying to play the CC210 this morning....and finally Jenn rescued the day!!! What fabulous colors she has chosen - Kraft, Summer Sun and Riding Hood Red (Real Red opt.).

I immediately thought of this awesome Set from Flourishes called *Sign of Spring*!!! Since it's a Flourishes kinda day with the Ribbon Challenge going on it was the perfect choice for me....as I was browsing the blogs a bit - I came a cross the fabulous ladies over at the CCEE sight and they have a Sketch Challenge going on...perfect match for the image I've used!!! Thank you CCEE ladies because of you it came all together fairly quickly!!!

Anyway - I hope you like what I have created??? I'm looking forward seeing what you'll come up with for this Challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day!!! ~TFL~

FS110 Make a Wish.....

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far??? We took it really easy on Saturday!!! I started on some Swap cards that I've signed up for and I can't wait to show them to you soon!!!

I'm also very excited to show off some more new goodies I have ordered from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog plus the new Textured Impressions Die - Manhattan Flower that is now available!!

Everything came in handy and very quickly together for today's FS110 - Twinshappy. Most of you probably know her already and I'm so happy to know her too!!! Stacy is super sweet and she is also the Flourishes Guest Designer these past two months!!! Congrats - Stacy - enjoy your day!!!!

I'm very familiar with her gallery and it was really fun to browse some more.....I chose this beauty to case.

The changes I have made are - I used the new flower die instead of the flourished image. I used different colors - Tangerine Tango and Whisper White. The sentiment is from the *A Little Birthday Cheer* Set plus I layered the punched out oval sentiment onto the new Scallop Oval Punch that is featured in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. At the end I added the DS Tangerine Tango Ribbon.

All in all I change a Flourishes card into an SU card - kinda weird....LOL!!! But guess what I'll be back on Tuesday casing some more of Stacy's creations!!! Hope you'll stop by for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge?!?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!! ~TFL~

Hello everyone!!!

The weather down here in Georgia has been really awesome!!! Sorry - I don't mean to rub it in - he,he,he!!!

The last few days the temperatures were in the low to mid 80's and when it's nice here the whole family loves to be outside - that means I don't get much stampin' done!!!

We also had to do a lot of yard work and spring cleaning!!! But I have some photos I'd like to share with you. You all haven't seen our *puppy* Luke in a while and let me tell ya - he is not that little anymore - LOL!!!

He is a little over 9 months now and still very rambunctious!!! Boxers don't really settle down until they are about 3 yrs old....at least that's what we have experienced!!!

Here is photo from our little Miriam. We had Pre-K sign up they other day at our local school and this past Tuesday was the drawing to see *who* made it into the 20 spots they have available...well Miriam's number was #21 - that means she is the first one on the waiting list!!!

So hopefully everything will work out and she can attend the public school and ride the bus with my middle daughter?!?

Isn't she stinkin' cute??? I'll be doing the *HAPPY DANCE* the day she starts Pre-K - LOL!!!

Have a great week!!! Hugs~Silke~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, CC209, SFYTT Bloomin' Beautiful

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you all are ready for another fun Timeless Tuesday Challenge??? Today the super talented Kimberly Crawford is hosting this Challenge and she has created this beautiful Sketch for us!!!

If you own a Flourishes Set *flaunt* it and if not, play along anyway. You all can enter to win a prize just by participating!!! More details and all the Samples can be viewed on the Flourishes Blog!!!!

Here is my take on Kim's Sketch.

As you can tell I kept it very simple and focused on the centerpiece. I used the Flourishes Set *Thinking of You*.

The card base is White (PTI). Before I started with the main image I scored the top part in 1/4" intervals. Next I inked the floral image onto a Oval Nestie with Certainly Celery and Basic Black. It was then layered onto a Scalloped Oval Nestie using Certainly Celery CS. The matching Twill Ribbon is from the *Ribbon Bundle Duo* featured in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.
I decorated the centerpiece with some punched out Martha Stewart butterflies using Rose Red CS. At last I decorated the butterflies with some small Pearls (Michael's) and the Hat Pin (Michael's) using the Pearls from the Prettiest Kit.

Looking forward seeing your take on this fun Sketch!!! Please use *FTTC6* as your keyword on SCS.

Swing by my Flourishes friends - Becca Feeken, Betty Wright, Cindy Haffner, Dee Jackson and Kimberly Crawford to see their cards close up.

**************************************************

Here is my card I made for the CC209 - Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Basic Black. I think it's another awesome round of colors!!!

I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT Sketch. Isn't it a great one??? The Stamp Set is *Bloomin' Beautiful*. The Rose was inked in Memento Black and colored with a Prisma Marker (PM-150) and Copic Marker (G94). The senitment was inked in Basic Black. I added a Brad from the Styled Silver Collection.

Just in case you can't tell I scored the Rose Red CS in 1/4" intervals to add a little bit of interest to the layout. If you like click on the photo for a close up.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!!!
