ODBD - Amazing Grace, Stamp Simple #95

Happy TGIF everyone!!!

This week has been flying by so fast......Jerry came back safely from his trip to Chicago. Our oldest daughter Sarah is heading out for her first Christian Camp this upcoming week!!! She is been packing and getting her last neccessary items together!!!

This is her first time away from home with out any family around....hmmmmm I feel a little weird about it, but this is just me her mom speaking!!! I can't hardly believe how much she has grown this past year!!! I'm very proud of her - she is very independent and she has made very good decisions so far - LOL!!!

So while I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off (funny expression) trying not to think about her leaving us for a whole week - I desperately needed some stampin' therapy - LOL!!! I found a lot of comfort in my new Our Daily Bread Designs Stamps.

My card also fits the Stamp Simple #95 Challenge - Let the *Sparks* fly!!

On both of my cards I used the Amazing Grace Set as the centerpiece plus on my first card I added the Amazing Grace Hymn in the background.

I stamped straight onto the Designer Paper and and distressed the edges.

Once I was done with the distressing I added some Candle Light Shimmerz with a very fine Paint Brush.

If you click on the photo you will see it a little better!!!

~Supply List~
Stamps: Amazing Grace and Amazing Grace Hymn (ODBD)

Here is my second card..........

This card turned out a little more simple.

I stamped the Amazing Grace Set straight onto the Kraft CS using Fresh Snow Ink Spot I distressed the edges using the Vintage Touch Dye Duo.

I scored the top and the bottom with two lines and added the Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon bow .

My last finishing touch was the Brown Gemstones.

If you have time swing by the ODBD Gallery and see what the Design Team has created with these awesome Set's!!!

Well - I hope you like the cards??? Have a fabulous weekend!!! Hugs ~S~

Oh Silke, these are so beautiful. As always, your cards are amazing. Your daughter will be fine - it's momma I'll be praying for! I know what you are feeling! Someday, she'll be telling you she's off to live in China for a year....lol! Seriously, I will pray for her safety, and your peace of mind - how's that?

My parents would totally love these cards since Amazing Grace is their favorite hymn. I love them, too. I'll go check these stamps out now at OBDB. Have a great weekend!

Both cards are so very pretty, Silke! Elegant, each in their own way. Elegance and simplicity really do go hand in hand, I think. Love the music background and subtle pattern of the paper in the first card.
