ODBDSLC50, C4C76 Flower Power!!!

Happy weekend everyone!

I'm working in Savannah this weekend at the British Commonwealth Conference and unfortunately I won't get to enjoy my family or the beautiful weather we have :(.... sniff!

Before I headed out of town I had a chance to make this card for this weeks ODBD Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC50. We have a really cool Sketch for you to try and I hope you get a chance to play it along with us!?!

I also combined my card with this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges ~C4C76. Which is to add *FLOWERS*.
So if you feel like it, combined both challenges and show us what you got! Please make sure to stop by the Crazy Blog to see all the flower power cards!

Here is my take on it.........

The beautiful Bible Verse from The Lord has Risen Set was inked onto a Spellbinder Die. I added a round doily in the background. The DP is from the SU Poppy Parade Pattern Print Collection. Next I added some matching Prima Flowers, Silver Pearls, matching SU Stitched Poly Ribbon, Silver Button, Red Scrapper's Floss and a punched out Flower Border.

Now it's time to check out the other Sketch ideas from ~ Sabrina, Chris, Francie and Pat. Swing by the ODBD Blog and help us welcome our new Guest Designer!

ODBDSLC49, C4C75, I am the Way....and more!!!

Happy weekend everyone!

We are having fabulous weather here in Georgia. The temps climbed to *81 F* yesterday and we pretty much spend all day outside! Today we are heading to Sarah's *Allstar Tournament* games. We are playing against a few different counties...and my Sarah is very excited to play a few more games before it's all over! She has reached her age limit with her upcoming birthday and won't be able to join her Rec team next year! Kinda bitter sweet for her, but my big girl is ready to move on! She is turning 13 at the end of the month...HELP!  This afternoon I promised my two younger daughters to take them swimming. We have this fun *Splash at the Boro* Indoor Dome where they can wear themselves out!

Anyways, we have a fun challenge going on at the ODBD Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC49.

So Saffron DP on the bottom. The rest of my card was embellished with a punched out Flower Border, some Black & White Gingham Ribbon, a Black Button, Black Scrap Floss and some Black Pearls.

Curtain Call Act 68 Lifes Moments....

Happy Sunday you all!

We had a fun, fun day yesterday...the girls had basketball picture day, games right after. Mimi felt good enough to take her team picture, but I didn't let her play the game. In the later afternoon we went to see the GSU Womens basketball game. Becca and Sarah won their games and so did the GSU Team...yeah! Right after the game we went to our favorite pizza place with our friends and celebrated the happy and very successful day :) !!!

Somewhere in between coming and going I created this card for this weeks Curtain Call Act #68. Here are the gorgeous colors Stacey chose....

Here is my quick take on it......

I decided to use the beautiful SU Elements of Style Set. The rose image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ R0000, R000, R00, RV00, R85, R23, YG11 and G24. I added some PTI Hibiscus Stitched Ribbon, a Silver Button and some matching Karen Foster Scrap Floss. At last I bedazzled my card with some Silver Pearls and Dazzling Diamond Glitter. Hope you like it :) ?!?!

ODBDSLC47 Happy One Year Anniversary!

Welcome to the ODBD Shining Light Challenge!

Today we are celebrating our first Anniversary...yeah!!!

Chris thought of a very fun task for you to do...choose any of the top 10 Challenges from the first year to create your card...how easy is that???

Here are the Challenges from the past:

ODBDSLC22 - Distress it
ODBDSLC26 - Dies and Punches
ODBDSLC27 - Texture it
ODBDSLC28 - Forgotten Embellishments
ODBDSLC29 - Sparkle
ODBDSLC31 - Wing it
ODBDSLC32 - Leaves
ODBDSLC33 - Charm it
ODBDSLC34 - Three of Something
ODBDSLC43 - Something new something old

Here is my take on it ~ I added distressing, dies, forgotten embellishement, sparkle, wing it, something new something old ~ to my card.

My inspiration for this card came from this weeks VLVFeb Sketch. I used the beautiful Faith Set and the brand new to me Butterfly Corner. The images were inked in Memento Black and the butterfly was colored with Copic Markers. The edges of the Kraft CS were distressed. The DP is from the SU Poppy Parade Print Designer Collection. My forgotten embellishment is the matching PTI Berry Sorbet Ribbon and Button! My sparkles were sprayed on with the Iridescent Glimmer Mist. Of course I have to mention the fabbo Spellbinder Dies....I love the Beaded Circle one the most :) !!!

Now it's time to check out the rest of the Shining Light Team ~ Sabrina, Chris, Francie and Pat.

Please check out on how to play along and what the rules are at this blog post ODBDSLC47!!!

Thank you for swinging by today!!! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon:) !!! Hugs ~S~
