CCEEC and BVC08 Everlasting Life

Hey you all!!!

Today has been a very cloudy and rainy day - perfect stamping weather - LOL!!!

My friend Denise aka *peanutbee* made me aware of this fabulous blog. Some super duper talented ladies are running the show and believe it or not I had no idea that this blog existed - you can find out more right here. Thank you Denise for stirring me in the right direction - you are the best - LOL !!!

Today's challenge is to create a card using only *Brown & Black* - wow - I wasn't sure about that comb, but now after putting this card together I'm so happy that I gave it a try - I really, really like it!!!

Remember I was telling you about the Bible Verse Challenge (BVC08) over on SCS??? Well - I was always behind on the Challenge and now thank goodness I'm one moth ahead....I combined the Challenges and I have used this fabulous Bible Verse from John 3:16 reading.....

For God so Loved the World He Gave His Only Son that whoever Believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life.

Isn't that a beautiful Verse??? I have found this Stamp at *Cornish Heritage Farms*.

For this card I have started out with a Whisper White base and layered it with Basic Black and Chocolate Chip CS. Next I have stamped the *Stitched BG* Stamp with Chocolate Chip and layered it with Basic Black CS. This layer was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.
Then I have cut a smaller panel with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I have added a Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon onto the panel and adhered it across the card.

Next I have stamped the Bible Verse with Chocolate Chip and layered it onto a Basic Black Nestie - I've also raised it with Stampin Dimensionals. To finish the card off I have added some Black Medium Brads from Making Memories.

Hope you like the card and give this color combo a try!!! ~TFL~

MOJO44 Flowers

Happy Monday everyone!!!

I'm always excited when Monday comes around - I can't wait to see what Julee Tilman's has in store for us with her fabulous MOJO Monday Sketches!!!

I jumped out of bed this morning and went straight to the computer....now you know how addicted I'm - LOL!!! What I found was this awesome Sketch you can see right here.

Not only do I love Julee's Sketches I love this wonderful *Floral Whimsy* Set from her VV Store!!!
I had to make this card 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" to fit this beautiful flower image.....

I bet you are already tired of seeing the *Plum Pudding* again - sorry guy's - I'll try not to use it for the next cards - if I can - LOL!!!

I have started out with Whisper White and layered it with Plum Pudding (PTI). Next I have added another smaller Whisper White and a Apricot Appeal DP panel. The flower image was inked in Plum Pudding, Apricot Appeal, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi and Close to Cocoa. I have made a sweet little bow on the vase with a matching purple Scrapbook Floss from Karen Foster . I have layered the image on Apricot Appeal and then on Kraft CS Nestie. This panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Next I have stamped the sentiment that is also from the *Floral Whimsy* Set with Close to Cocoa and Purely Pomegranate - it was also raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Then I have started punching the *Photo Corners* with the SU Punch. I have used the smaller ones for this card. I have added some Silver Brads on both of the corners and also next to the main image.

I hope you will have a chance to play and ~TFL~!!!

FS73 Friend

Good Morning!!!
I'm usually not home on Sunday's, but my oldest came down with a *cold* and I'm staying home with her today.
Of course I had to get my fingers busy while she is resting....and I've decided to play along on today's Feautured Stamper. The lucky girl is Michele Kovack aka *Chelemom* and you can see all the details right here.
Michele has a gorgeous gallery full of cards and scrap pages and I have chosen to case this card right here.
I have kept the layout of the card and made some minor changes:
I have changed the colors of the card and I've used Basic Grey DP for the side panel plus Old Olive CS. I have used different Ink - Plum Pudding and a different Stamp Set - *All Holidays*. I also added some Rhinestone Brads from SU instead of the sentiment. The Ribbon was switched to a Satin Plum Pudding Ribbon from *Papertrey Ink*.
Have a great Sunday and ~TFL~!!!

LSC173 Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.....

What a fun, fun LS Challenge today - it's *NOT* Hip to be square!!! More info right here.

This was the inspiration I was looking for when I wanted to create a card for Little Paper Shop's 2nd Sneak Peak Set called *You're Invited*. It came in so handy - YEAHHH!!!

I have search my house for a *Star* template and thank goodness I have found one.....I have traced and cut the star on a Bashful Blue CS. Next I've dry embossed the CS with the Classy Brass *Shapes* Template from SU.

The sweet little *Giraffe* image is also from Little Paper Shop's May Release called *Farm Yard Fun*.

I have stamped the *Giraffe* with Chocolate Chip and colored it with More Mustard Watercolor Pencil. Next I have stamped the sentiment *Baby Shower* in Bashful Blue Ink. Then I have punched out a 3/4" More Mustard circle and adhered it to the right hand side. To finish the card off I have added a 5 /8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon from SU. The whole image was raised on Stampin Dimensionals. Voila!!!

This is my second card I have created for the Little Paper Shop Sneak Peak. This cute little Invitation Set is called *You're Invited* (same as above).

Basically the same idea but I have made it square 5" x 5".
Plus it was much easier to create - LOL - I know I'm not hip an more - LOL!!!

Hope you like it anyway??? Have a great weekend and I'm off to see what else I can create - so if you like stop by later - I might have a surprise for ya!!!

WT171 Surprise!!!

Yep - I'm definitely going thru some stampin' withdraws - LOL!!!

I had to make another card...and this time I have made it for the *Ways to Use it* Challenge #171 - using *Rick Rack* Ribbon or etc.

I knew I had some Ribbon somewhere.....I have found these at the $1 Spot over at Target - they are shimmery Turquoise and Pink colors - perfect for today!!!

Based on the Turquoise Ribbon I have started making this card. I have started with a Whisper White base and layered Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Whisper White again on top. Next I have added the image with a Basic Black BG and placed it on Stampin Dimensionals.

The image was colored with SU Markers - So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Pixi Pink, Green Galore. I have added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the present and finished the card off with the Ribbon and Silver Brads.

Don't forget to check out my cards below - some more fun cards with the new June *Sneak Peak* Birthday Surprise Set from Little Paper Shop!!! ~TFL~

Little Paper Shop June Sneak Peek!!!

Hi you all - I love how the say that here in the South!!! Today is the kick off for the Little Paper Shop June Sneak Peek!!!

I have not been stampin' for a while so I went a little crazy yesterday and played a lot with this new Set called *Birthday Surprise*. Isn't it super cute???

Definitely a Set that I'll be using a lot for all the birthday parties that are coming up!!!

On this card I have used the softer look with Pretty in Pink and So Saffron. To make the image stand out a bit more I have used the Basic Black CS for the background.

I have finished it off with a Pink 5/8" Ribbon form Michael's and some Black Brads from SU.

On this card I went a little bolder and more dramatic - LOL!!!

I have used Pixi Pink and Basic Black for the Cardstock.

The cute image was colored with SU Markers - Yoyo Yellow, Pixi Pink and Tempting Turquoise.

The sentiment comes with this Set and I have stamped it with Basic Black Ink.

Here is a combo I have created with these bold colors. Isn't this Set fun and so many possibilities?!?

The square card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I always love how simple Embellishment's - like Brads - can make a card look so different!!!

Here is another softer approch. I have used Pretty in Pink and So Saffron again plus I have added Certainly Celery.
This time I have used matching color Brads and added a fourth color - Bashful Blue.

Hope you like the cards??? Stay tuned for more fun releases!!!

YEAHHH - I'm Back!!!

Hello everyone - I'm home again!!! Time does fly by fast and I had a super great time seeing my friend Anneke again!!!

We haven't seen each other for almost 10 years - I know - isn't that crazy?!? We used to live next to each other in Germany and both of our husbands worked for the Military Hospital in Heidelberg.

Anneke was born and raised in the Netherlands and the best part this weekend was - she became an *American Citizen* and I was there when she was sworn in - how super cool is that???

Of course she had a *Party* on Saturday and it was so nice to see her family again and meeting all the neighbors and friends....plus the kids have grown so much in the meantime!!!

It is so funny I was only gone for four days and my girls and husband acted like I was gone for a whole year - LOL!!! I have spent my entire day yesterday and today with my girls and of course I didn't get a chance to stamp either days.......but I'm slowly catching up with things and maybe by tomorrow I'll get a little *ME* time - LOL!!!

It was so sweet of you all to wish me a good time and that you have included me in your prayers!!! It's nice to be home again and I'm so ready to get started again......see ya soon!!!

Hugs,

BIC17 Fresh Cuts

Good Morning!!!

It's Tuesday again....time for Beate's *Be Inspired* Challenge #17!!!.

Today Beate has chosen a
beautiful Coldwater Pillow.

You all know that I love *Black & White* cards....so this Challenge was a very fun for me.

This Color Combo always looks so elegant and of course that's exactly what I was trying to accomplish with this card as well.

The card was very simple to make....it measures 5" x 5".

I have used Basic Black as my base. Next I've stamped the *Fresh Cuts* image in Basic Black Ink and trimmed it to 3" x 3". The next Basic Black CS layer is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". The Whisper White CS layer is 4" x 4". This whole section was placed on Stampin Dimensionals.

Next I have added the sentiment to the *Styled Silver* Label Holder and attached it with Basic Black Satin Ribbon (Michael's). Then I have centered the image to the base of the card.

Hope you get a chance to play along??? Don't forget to check all the talented ladies from Beate's DT - you can find them on the right hand side of my blog!!!

Blog Candy Sketch - A Light unto My Path

Good Morning everyone.
Hope you all had a great weekend?

It was very hot here in Georgia and we hung out at the pool in the later afternoons.....plus we shopped till we dropped so to speak....didn't take very long in this heat - LOL!!!

I didn't get to stamp very much, but I've made this card last week for the *Blog Candy Sketch Request*.

This is Beate's WSC31 which was requested by Sandyh50 (no blog info) and by Jennifer L. *Created by Jen*.
For this card I have used the *A Light unto My Path* Set. I love this Set - it is so serene!!!
Here is a little trick on how I have been able to add some extra colors to the image. I have first stamped it with Blue Bayou - stroking the Ink Pad in one direction - love that look. Next I have taken a *baby wipe* and wrapped it around my finger and wiped off the area I wanted to add different colors to.
I have used a Chocolate Chip Marker next and colored in the light house. Then I have taken the River Rock Ink Pad and inked the bottom of this Set. Voila - that's it!!!
I have started out with a Whisper White CS. The image was trimmed around the edges and also placed on a Whisper White CS. Next I have raised these two layers up and added it to a larger Chocolate Chip CS.
The panel on the right hand side started with Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou and Whisper White. Then I have added Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets and *medium* Brads from MM.
The sentiment is from the *Hugs & Wishes* Set and it was inked in Chocolate Chip.
Sandy and Jennifer I hope you like what I have done??? Thanks for playing!!! I love this Sketch too!!!

TECC19 - Boho Backgrounds

Hello again!!! Sorry I have kept you waiting, but I had to run around with my girls to find some presents.....

Here is my card I've made for Taylor Van Bruggen's TECC19 Cupcake Challenge. You can see the Sketch right here.

I couldn't go to sleep last night... ...I guess I was to excited about the Inspiration Challenge - LOL!!! Had to get the IC card out of my system first and then I was all wired up.......so I thought I'd tackle this one too.

This card measures 3/14" x 6 1/2". I have used So Saffron as my base and added a layer of Whisper White and for the center I have used Basic Black and another Whisper White.

Next I have pierced above and below the Basic Black CS. The main image is from the *Boho Backgrounds* Set and it was stamped in Versamark and embossed with Black EP. I have punched the image out with a 1 1/2" circle Punch then I've layered it on top of a circle So Saffron CS and a Basic Black scalloped circle - both are cut out Nestie's. I have added a *medium* Silver Brad in the center and the whole medallion was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The card was looking a little *plain* - so I had to add a strip of So Saffron on top and one on the bottom. I liked that much better!!! The sentiment is from the *Essence of Love* Set and it was stamped it Basic Black.

Hope you like it??? Have a great weekend!!!

It is a 100 F here in GA and I'm taken my girls to the pool - see ya soon!!!

IC131 Happy Birthday

Good Morning everyone!!!

Have you seen today's *Inspiration Piece* that Stephanie has chosen??? If not I have the link for you right here.

I have chosen this picture for my card. I was inspired my the colors and the mirror. After seen the Great Swap Girls Sketch Challenge I knew I wanted to use this layout.

My base is Whisper White. I have added a bigger strip of Bashful Blue and a small strip of Pixi Pink first. Then another smaller strip of Bashful Blue on the bottom. Next I have added the DS Bashful Ribbon.

The main image is from the fabulous *Live Your Dream* Set which I have stamped with Wild Wasabi and Pixi Pink Stampin Spots. The little butterfly was inked in Basic Black. Next I have cut the Basic Black scalloped oval and the center piece with Nestie's. This part was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the *All Holidays* Set and it was also inked in Basic Black. To finish it all off I have added the *medium* Silver Brads from Making Memories.

Hope you like it and maybe you will be inspired by Stephanie's awesome *IC*?!? Stay tuned I have another card coming!!! ~TFL~

Actually this would have been a combined submission for Sharon's and Beate's Challenges until I have messed up....the image ended up to big for the WSC Sketch and I figured I just have to suck it up and make another card.....(hate when that happens - LOL)!!!

At least I had a Sketch already....I have started with a Whisper White card base. Then added the Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin Pie CS. I have adhered the cute DS Wild Wasabi Ribbon. Next I have started piercing along the top and bottom of the CS's.

The image was colored with Pumpkin Pie and my self made Wild Wasabi Blender Pen. The image was raised with Stampin Dimensionals before I have added it onto the card.

The sentiment is from the *All Holidays* Set and I have stamped it with Chocolate Chip and I also pierced right below the sentiment. ~TFL~

Make sure you check out my card below that I have made for Beate's WSC51. Don't want ya to miss it - LOL!!! Have a great weekend!!!

WSC51 A Tree for All Seasons

This card is my submission for Beate's WSC#51. You can check the Sketch right here.
I have started coloring the image from the *A Tree for All Seasons* with Chocolate Chip, Pink Passion and Wild Wasabi (Blender Pen) Markers and stamped it in the center of the square Metal Tag from SU.
Next I have adhered the scalloped CC CS which was cut out with the long rectangle Nestie and trimmed to the 5 1/2" size. Then I have added the Wild Wasabi strip on top and started piercing right along the top. Next I have added the cute Wild Wasabi DS Ribbon.
The image was placed on Stampin Dimensionals before I have added it onto the card. The sentiment is from the *Absolutely Fabulous* Set and I have stamped it with Chocolate Chip Ink right above the tied Ribbon.

Blog Candy Sketch - One of a Kind

This card was made with Angel's favorite Sketch . She has created this Sketch herself and you can see it right here.

Angel also has a blog that you can check out *Angel's Creative World*.

I have started out with layering the Purely Pomegranate CS on top of my Whisper White card base. Then I've stamped the flowers in So Saffron on another WW CS and trimmed the CS down to were I liked it and layered it on top of the PP CS.

Next I have stamped the flowers in Purely Pomegranate and trimmed it down to a panel and layered it on top of the So Saffron and Purely Pomegranate CS. This panel was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Then I have added the gorgeous Swarovski Crystal's my friend Denise has sent me - aren't they gorgeous??? Next I have stamped the sentiment from this Set in PP and layered it on top of So Saffron. Then I've punched out two little PP 1/4" circles and added the Crystal's on top and adhered it to the large panel.

Angel - thank you for sharing your wonderful Sketch - I had fun playing with it!!! Hope you like what I have done with it???

Blog Candy Sketch - Spring Solitude

This is a card I have made for Glenda (SCS gallery) and Angie Britt (no blog). They both favor Beate's WSC#29 Sketch which you can see right here .

For this card I have used the fabulous Hostess II Set - *Spring Solitude*. It is such a pretty Set and I don't use it that often....and today I thought it would work great for this particular Sketch!!!

This card measures 5" x 5". I have started out with the long strip of Chocolate Chip CS and adhered it. Next I have added the DS Blue Bayou Ribbon.

For the main image I have stamped the flowers randomly with Pumpkin Pie Ink. Then I have stamped one solid flower image with PP and cut it out. Next I've layered it on top of the main image and added a Copper Brad in the center. The stem and the leaves were colored with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Markers. The *bird* was inked with Blue Bayou both images were cut out and raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Next I have used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the sentiment from the same Setand punched it out with a 1" cirlcle Punch. Then I've layered it onto a 1 1/4" circle Blue Bayou CS. It was also raised with Stampin Dimensionals. To finish it all off I have added some Silver Brads. Voila!!!

Glenda and Angie - I hope you like what I have done with your favorite Sketch??? ~TFL~

Blog Candy Sketch - Always

Here is a card I have made for *Sara* (no blog info). Her favorite Sketch is this one from SCS.

I have never participated in this SC and I tought it would be great to make a card with it...- it is a awesome Sketch!!!

You guys really keep me on my toes.... I have really learned so much from the Sketch Challenges that this has become my favorite Challenges.

For this card I have used the *Always* Set. I have started out with stamping the image first with Chocolate Chip *Classic* Ink and then again with Chocolate Chip *Craft* Ink. The Craft Ink image was embossed with *Clear* EP and I have cut it out and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals on top of the first stamped image.

The half circle was cut with the round Coluzzle Template and I have used the gorgeous *Afternoon Tea* DP from the Occasions Brochure. The scalloped rectangle was cut with the Nestie and I have used Groovy Guava CS. The sentiment was also stamped in CC Ink and I have pierced right underneath it.

Of course I had to add the yummy Satin Chocolate Chip Ribbon plus some Silver Brads.

Sara I hope you like your card??? Stay tuned the *BLOG CANDY WINNER* is coming up!!!

CC169 Thank You

The colors for today's Color Combo are Blue Bayou,
Soft Sky and Real Red. It's definitely a combo I would not choose everyday - kinda tough!!!

I grabbed my Catalog for some inspiration and came across the *Block Party* Set on Page 13. I really liked how SU has made the bag look with this Set.
I think I'll have to remember this Set for the next birthday party - I could make some great treat bags with it!!!

For this card I have started out with Blue Bayou as my base. Then I have layered the Whisper White CS on top and a strip of Soft Sky across.

Next I have used the Stamp Set and stamped it first with Soft Sky and then with Real Red Ink. I have trimmed the Real Red sections to fit on top of the Soft Sky print and adhered them.

Then I have cut a scalloped long rectangle Nestie and adhered the image. I have raised the image with Stampin Dimensionals. Before adding it to the card I have tied a DS Blue Bayou Ribbon in the center of the card and finished it off with some Styled Silver Brads.

Have a great day and ~TFL~!!!

BIC16 and Blog Candy Sketch

Good Morning!!!

It's Tuesday again and it's time for Beate's "Be Inspired" Challenge #16.

Today I've combined the BIC with my Blog Candy Sketch.
I have chosen Julee Tilman's request to try this Sketch right here. I thought it would work wonderful with the inspiration piece.

First of all I was so excited the Julee had played in my Blog Candy Game.....that I took her sketch and matched it with the super *Floral Whimsy* Stamp Set from Verse Visual. Which gave me the inspiration for this card - with all the lovely flowers and colors.

The colors I have used on my card are Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White CS.

For the *Floral Whimsy* image I have used Wild Wasabi, Close to Cocoa, Apricot Appeal and Purely Pomegranate.
Then I have added a *Brown Scrapper's Floss* from Karen Foster right on top of the vase and tied it into a bow. I thought that was just tooooo cute - LOL!!! To balance the card out I have added two *Silver Flower Brads* from the *Styled Silver* SU Hardware.
Hope you like my card??? I'm off to the next request.
Please check out all the other ladies from Beate's BI Team. You can find them on the right hand side of my blog.
