C4C68 Happy New Baby and Guest Designing for Meljen's Design

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!

WOW this past year has just flown by!!! It definitely was a fun year, even though it was overshadowed with the passing of my Stepfather. Nevertheless, I'm extremely excited about all the new and fun things that I'll be doing in *2011*. I have only a few more days till I have to go back to work...yikes!!! The girls and I have been busy going to the movies, ice skating and shopping. All the fun things girls like to do!!! I actually thought I'd have more time stampin' while I'm off, but I guess I was only wishful thinking...LOL!!!

I did get to stamp a card for today's new Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C68....yeah!!! Maria is hosting and her theme this week is *CELEBRATE SOMETHING*!!! I'm celebrating a very happy event. My sweet co-worker Marie gave birth to a super duper cute little baby girl named *Brooks* right before we all went onto our Christmas vacation. Brooks was only 4 pounds and 12 ounces....she is sooooo little and sooooo sweet! Thank goodness she was healthy as can be!!! Best Christmas present e-v-e-r  for my co-worker!!! I can't wait to visit them and hold that little munchkin in my arms :) !!!

For my card I'm using this sweet Stuffed Baby Elephant image from the Meljen's Design Collection. Nicole, from the Meljen Team invite me to be their Guest Designer for January. I'm really excited trying these sweet digi images and I hope you like my ideas along the way!!! If you are not familiar with the Meljen images then please check them out right HERE and the fun Challenge Blog!!!

My inspiration for this card came again from Mona's awesome CR84FN8 color combo (You can see my 1st card HERE)!!! This time I focused more on the bright *pink* color....very fitting for sweet little baby Brooks :) !!! My digi image was colored with these Copic Markers ~ C0, C1, C2, RV09 and Colorless Blender. I embellished the card by adding some scored lines behind the main image. The DP is from the SU Rich Razzleberry Collection and the matching Ribbon is from the PTI Razzberry Fizz Collection. I finished the card with a punched out flower border (Martha Stewart) on the bottom, some piercing on top, some matching Buttons and some Silver Pearls...voila!!!

Now it's time to check out all the fabulous ladies from the Crazy Team ~ Tammy, Maria, VickiBarbara, Cindy, Frances, Jessie, Joanne, Joycelyn, Lynda, Silke K. and Angela.

FTTC98, Mojo171 For You....

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

It's been freezing cold down here in Georgia...yikes!!! Thank goodness we don't have snow!!! Living in Michigan for 6 years cured me of all my snow desires...LOL!!! Hope you all are safe and sound though!!! I'm definitley ready for some warmer weather...how about you?!?

I need a lot of birthday cards in January....it starts out with my sweet hubby, then my mom, my little sister and some friends and so on!!! Today's card is for my mommy....she is turning *60* and since I can't be there celebrating this big event with her I have to at least send her this birthday card!!!

My card idea started out with this weeks Mojo171 Sketch (I opted for the square layout) and this weeks CR84FN8.

I got myself in the mood for warmer weather with this beautiful Flourishes Cherry Blossoms Set. I think it compliments Mona's color challenge perfectly!!! Hope spring comes soon...LOL!!!I inked the blossom in Memento Black and colored it with these Copic MarkersR0000, R00, R30, R35, C1, C2 and Colorless Blender. The DP is from the SU Walk in the Park Collection. I added some Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, an Antique Brad, some Silver Pearls and some Silver Beaded Cord. At last I added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to the blossom...voila!!! I hope my mommy is gonna like it :) ?!?

FINALLY!!!

Happy holidays!!!

Are you ready for Christmas...have you wrapped all your presents yet??? I think I'm close...I have to bake a cake in the morning and wrap Jerry's presents while he is out golfing with his dad and then I finally exhale.....wahooooo!!!

The girls have kept me pretty busy the last few days and tonight I had a chance to escaped for a pedicure
plus I got to see the movie *How Do You Know* with Reese Whiterspoon. It was a really fun movie and I had to laugh so hard....watch it too if you can :) !?!

Anyway, I finally had a chance to make a card as well...yeah!!! I browsed the challenge blogs a bit this afternoon and out came this fun little card!!! I couldn't help it, but my sweet snowman from the Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes was calling my name again!!! Did I mention I *L.O.V.E* this little guy??? It was really hard to resist him!!! My inspiration for this card came from this weeks The Shabby Tea Room #41 and this weeks Belli Challenge #107 ~ Merry Christmas.

All that *red* made me dig out this really fun SU DP from the Merry Moments Collection. I topped it off with a Red Stitched Ribbon, a matching Red Button, some Silver Pearls and the Silver Beaded Cord (all purchased at Michael's). At last I added the Dazzling Diamond Glitter...voila!!!

Have a fabulous evening and thank you for stopping by...see ya soon!!! Hugs ~S~

Happy 4th Advent!!!

How fun....Christmas is just a few days away and I can't wait to celebrate this joyfull event! As a Christian it's one of the happiest days out of the year I can think off!!! Besides hanging out with my family I/we don't have anything planned and I'm sooooo enjoying my days off :) !!!

Before I tell you all about today's Curtain Call Act 61 colors I would like to share a photo of my sweet Miriam. She celebrated her 6th birthday on Friday. I can't believe my baby is already so grown up...sniff!

Okay, so onto Stacey's awesome color combo for this week...check it out!!!

I loved the snowflake idea on the inspiration photo and thought I'd run with it.

I used the Flourishes Warm Winter Wishes Set. The snowflakes were inked randomly with the required colors and I added a tag from the PTI Tag 1 Die. The sentiment is from the Flourishes Holiday Greetings Set and the flourished image above and below the sentiment is from the Flourishes Many Sentiments Set. Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

How was your weekend??? Did you get snowed in??? We had a super busy weekend ....we pulled off Mimi's surprise party perfectly....yeah...she had no idea what was coming...LOL!!! She was so happy to see and play with her friends!!! At 6:30 pm that night she fell a sleep on the couch snoring like an elk...LOL!!! On Sunday my In-law's celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary with another fun party! All I can say is I'm tired and partied out......I need this week to recuperate!!!

Thank you all for playing my FTTC Challenge last week!!! All of your gift giving ideas were fabulous!!! I loved them all!!! I can't hardly believe it, but it's time again for another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC97!!! Maki is our host and she is challenging to a theme!!! We are looking forward seeing what delicious looking creations you can create!!!

Perfect timing, because I needed a birthday card!!! As promised no more snowmen cards...*giggle*!!! I pulled out the beautiful Let them Eat Cake Set and created a birthday cake with this weeks CR84FN7. colors. I used SU Early Espresso, Cameo Coral and Crumb Cake on my card.

As you can tell I kept the design very simple. The Crumb Cake CS was embossed and I added some Dark Brown Satin Ribbon on the side. I punched out a little flower with the SU Trio Flower Punch and distressed the flower with a Stylus. At last I added the Gold Pearl, the Button with the Gold Beaded Cord and I bedazzled the image with some Glitter...voila!!!

Curtain Call Act 60, C4C67 and I'm Guest Designing!!!

Hello sweet stampin' friends!!!

I can't believe it, but I finally have a card to share...wahooo!!! I actually have two cards today..yeah!!! My first card is for today's Curtain Call Act 60. Here are this weeks colors.....

Here is my idea.....

I combined the colors with this weeks C4C67 Sketch and this weeks ODBDSLC41 ~ I chose the snowman inspiration picture!!! I was trying really hard not to use the snowman image from the Flourishes Winter Warm Wishes again, but the ODBD Inspiration Challenge pushed me over the edge...wink!!! It was also the first stamp set I spotted on my super messy desk :) !!! I promise my next post will NOT have this image again!!!

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers ~ YG11, YG95, R29, C1, E27 and Colorless Blender. The DP is from the SU Ski Slope Collection. I finished the card off with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter, some yummy Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, matching Button and some Gold Beaded Cord.

Now it's time to check out the Curtain Call Team for their ideas ~

Christina MacLaren ~ Seaglass & Sentiments
                                     Jean Martin ~ Stampin' Scrapper
Julie Lacey ~ Stamps & Taxes
                                     Laurel Seabrook  ~ Seabrook Designs

*****************************************************************************

My second card is very special too!!! The sweet ladies over from Gingerloft invited me to play along for their GL8 Challenge!!! The challenge is *DISTRESSING*...one of my favorite techniques to do!!!

Here is my idea.....

You all know that I'm a sucker for cute snowmen right???...and I could not resist to try this super cute digi image called Woodland Snowman!!!
After I printed the digi image I colored it with some Copic Markers ~ R14, R29, R46, E27, E47, B29, C1, C2 and Colorless Blender. Of course I had to bedazzle the snowman with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter :) !!! The DP is again from the SU Ski Slope Collection. I distressed and also ink distressed the edges with the PTI Chai Blend. At last I added the sentiment, the Enchanted Evening Ribbon, a matching SU Button, some Silver Beaded Cord and the Silver Pearls.

Hope you have time to play along in this fun challenge too??? Thank you so much for stopping by today and for always taking the time to leave me a sweet comment!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back with a new card on Tuesday!!! Hugs ~Silke~

FTTC96 Happy Holidays, C4C66 Stay Warm and some more BLOG CANDY!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend??? Sarah and I returned safely from our trip to Florida. We had a fab time and unfortunately we lost the Volleyball game vs. Florida State.....sniff!!! Regardless of the outcome it was sooooooo cool to see both teams play!!! The NCAA game was held on campus of the Florida University home of the *Gators*...holy smokes what an awesome football stadium they have and the rest of the campus was awesome too!!!

Also, I'm thrilled to tell you that it is my turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ~ FTTC96 this week!!! My challenge to you is to create a *holiday 3-D gift* and if you feel like it you can create a matching card with it!!!  But the main focus should be the gift!!! If you have not created any gifts yet, this would be the perfect time to get inky!!! Remember, you are not required to use Flourishes stamps, but if you have them show them off...just have fun!!! Can't wait to see your creations!!!

My inspiration came from this weeks Cupcake Challenge #88. Here is my little gift idea...........

I always loved these sweet little handmade stockings...I couldn't resist making one this year!!! I used the super duper cute snowflakes from the Warm Winter Wishes Set, the sentiment inside is from the Holiday Greetings and the outside tag/sentiment is from the Holly and Dove Set. My card base is Crumb Cake. I randomly stamped the snowflakes with SU Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso and PTI Fresh Snow. The edges were ink distressed with PTI Chai Blend. I added some small cotton crochet trim on the top and finished the card off with some matching Chocolate Ribbon, a Red Button and some Gold Beaded Cord.

Now to the fun part...since it's the season of giving and you all are the best blog readers ever....I thought it would be fun to give this sweet Warm Winter Wishes Set away for some BLOG CANDY...if you own this awesome set already you can choose a different Set!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment!!! I will announce a winner this upcoming Friday!!!
