LSC157 Pretty Petals Birthday

I'm always in need of birthday cards and todays LSC #157 is just perfect to create some...

This card is made with the "Pretty Petals" BG stamp.

I colored the stamp with Always Artichoke, Orchid Opulence and Pink Passion.
The image was stamped onto Whisper White CS. Then I layered it onto Pink Passion and Basic Black CS. For a more elegant look I added some pearl gemstones and I also bedazzled the butterfly with Dazzling Diamond Glitter before it was placed close to the flower.

I had to play around to see how I wanted to display my main image.....and decided to add another Pink Passion CS underneath.

The sentiment is from the "It's your Birthday" set and it was stamped with Basic Black Ink. ~TFL!!!~

LSC157 I'm Praying For You

Good Morning everybody!!!

It is 1:54 AM EST and I can't sleep....

If you follow my blog, you know that it was my oldest daughters 10th birthday yesterday - actually just a couple of hours ago.

We had my in-laws over for dinner and of course a birthday cake and as you know I have been a very good girl losing weight and that cake is really giving me a hard time right now!!! I'm not used to eating anything sugary.....and I think I'm all wired up from that cake....LOL!!!

So I was browsing to see what's going on over at SCS and to my pleasant surprise the LSC was posted...- YEAHHH!!!

I can't believe I'm getting an early start, but than I realized that a lot of others already posted their cards...I guess I'm not the only one up!?!

So todays Limited Supply Challenge #157 is that we can only use one flower stamp - I don't have a problem with this challenge...I think most of my supply is flowered based!!!

Here is what I have done - I used the same layout like I did with the "Boho Backgrounds" card I made just three days ago - I really liked that one. But when I planned on making this card - I knew this card would be for someone very special and I can't reveal it yet, since it's suppose to be a surprise.....

I used Groovy Guava as my base and layered it with Basic Black. Then I did the same again just with smaller Cardstock and added Whisper White. The smaller layered CS was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The flower is from the "So Much" Set and they were stamped in Versamark and embossed with black EP. I added the Jumbo Eyelets and the clear Rhinestone Brads in the center. All of the flowers were raised with Stampin Dimensionals as well.

The sentiment is from Verse Visual called "Serenity" and it was stamped in Basic Black Ink.

Hope you get a change to make a fun card for todays challenge...I'll think of another one later....I'm gonna clean up my mess now and hopefully get tired!!! ~TFL~

WT155 Cherish

This is my card for todays WT#155.

I'll write some more about it later...

It's my daughters 10th birthday today and we are having a small party for her.....

TFL!!!

I'm back...had to compliment my fellow card makers on their ideas for todays challenge...which I can't believe I came up with this cheesey one from
Cool and the Gang??? What was I thinking ???

I wanted to use the "Wild About You" set first...but I have used it a couple of times in the past...
I then decided to try something different....I should have stuck with this cute set!!!
The damage is done....and I'll try to move on - LOL!!!

Just in case you are interested in this card - this is what I have done....

The card measures 4 1/2" x 9" - it's a big one!!! I used So Saffron for my base and stamped it also in the same color ink with the "Baroque Motifs" Stamp Set. The largest stamp turned out to be a gorgeous background stamp!!!

My main image is from the "Illumination" Stamp Set and I stamped it with Purley Pomegranate twice. The second "C" was cut out and raised with Stampin Dimentionals. I also wished I would have embossed it, but of course I thought about this after the fact....maybe on the next card!!!
Then I layered it onto So Saffron CS.

I used the largest scalloped Nesti on the Purely Pomegranate CS and raised it also. Of course I had to use the "gorgeous" Satin Ribbon.....

Since it was a large card I thought the Jumbo Eyelets would look really good with it...and I always like to add a little bling as well and that's when I used the Rhinestone Brads...

Have a good night and "Thanks" again for stopping by!!!

SC165 Hapyy PTI

Good Morning!!!

This is my card for todays Sketch Challenge #165.

I know it's not a Stampin Up Set....,but I had to use my Papertrey Ink Stamps today!!!!

The base of my card is Close to Cocoa. It was stamped with the same color and I use the "Polka Dot Basic" Set. Quick and simple to do with the PTI Stamp.....

Then I layered a Purely Pomegranate CS on the left hand side. The main image is the "Women of Life" Set and I used the largest flower in this set -it was stamped in Purely Pomegranate. The stem was stamped with Old Olive .

At first I was not sure what to add in the center of the flower.....- but then the buttons caught my eyes and that's what I used - an Old Olive button. The pink twill in the middle is from the Karen Forster "Floss" - I think I have every color too!!!!

I layered the main image on Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegrante and then Pretty In Pink CS again - which I then pierced....and raised it all up with Stampin Dimensionals!!!

It kinda looked naked....LOL - so I added a Ribbon around the stem image. Oh boy - I realized the embellishment 0n the bottom left handside was missing from the Sketch... I couldn't add more flower - a tab came to mind!!! I stamped it in Old Olive and arranged it with the Stamp-A-Ma-jig!!! ~TFL~

CC Elegant Boho

I like this trio so much I had to make another one....

This time I used the "Boho Backgrounds" Set!!!
I absolutely love this Set...it is so versatile!!!

Again - I started with a River Rock base. Then layered it with Basic Black CS.

For the center part I used another River Rock, Basic Black and Whisper White CS - which was raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the Boho stamp with Versamark on River Rock and embossed it with Black EBP. The circles were cut with the circle Coluzzle.

By now you know that I love to raise my images up....but before I did that I placed Pewter Jumbo Eyelets in the center and added a clear Rhinestone in the middle!!!

The sentiment is from "A Little Birthday Cheer" and it was stamped with Basic Black Ink. ~TFL~

Thanks So Much

Isn't todays Color Combo gorgeous??? You can create so many elegant cards with it!!!

Here is mine....

I used my all time favorite set "So Much"!!!

The base is River Rock. Then I layered it with Basic Black and another River Rock which was stamped with the "Sanded" BG Stamp.

I used my scalloped round Nesti and stamped the dotted circle stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink and lightly embossed it with White EBP.

The flowers were stamped with Versamark and embossed with Black EBP. Then I cut them out, added a Pewter Jumbo Eyelet and placed a Rhinstone Brad in the center. Both flowers were raised with Stampin Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Ink and placed on a Pewter Hardware. I tied it around the card with a Basic Black Ribbon. ~TFL~

Weigh In Day

I took a little time off....but I was still being good!!! My weight is still 161 pounds and I'm starting it all up again today - so lets see if I can shed another 10 pounds????

You know that at the end I'll be giving away another BLOG CANDY!!! So keep stopping by and see how I'm doing....

Beautiful Double

Howdy everybody!!!

My goodness I can't believe I finally finished this card.....
Monday's are usually pretty busy around here.

Miriam's preschool had a "Royal Ball" today and I'm still exhausted from all the action!!! It was pretty cute - kinda like "Halloween" when everybody is dressed up in their "Princess" outfits.

Anyway - I was hoping she would fall asleep on the way home, but no luck - she was all wired up!!!

It's about 4:30 pm EST and now she is sleeping....

So I had to think fast and this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is River Rock. It was layered with Chocolate Chip and a DSP from Basic Grey called "Motifica". It comes in a 6x6 Scrapbook Pad with a bunch of different paper - great colors too!!! I actually cut two different DSP at a triangle and matched them in the middle.

Then I took a Very Vanilla CS and layered another Chocolate Chip CS on top. For this card I used the "A Beautiful Thing" set and stamped the sentiment on the bottom. The edges of the VV CS were distressed.

In the meantime I've stamped the flower image with Versamark on Very Vanilla CS and embossed them with gold EBP. They were all cut out and raised with Stampin Dimensionals. I also added a medium gold brad in the center of each flower and finished it of with the DS River Rock Ribbon.~TFL~!!!

Country Living Inspired

This is my second Inspiration Challenge....
How fun are the colors on this challenge ??? I totally love them!!!

I actually got inspired by the pink pillow on the right hand side. I instantly thought of the "Boho Backgrounds" Stamp.....

Did I mention the fabulous colors...oh they are right up my alley!!!

Here is my card...I started with Green Galore as my base. Then I stamped randomly with Pretty In Pink, Green Galore and Tempting Turquiose Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.

I wanted to add one more bright color and I thought I would use Yoyo Yellow to frame the stamped image.

I still have plenty of different colored SU Brads and what a perfect time to use them up....so I placed them in the center of each stamped image.

The sentiment is from PTI "Women of Life" Set. ~TFL!!!~

Have a great weekend!!!

Women of Life

I bet most of you have been following Papertrey's latest editions.....I got swept away in all the great new items that they offered!!!

I always hoped to be one of the lucky duckie's who would win some of their *new* stuff, but I ended up buying it.....!!!

I absolutely fell in "L.O.V.E " with the "Women in Life" Stamp Set!!!

I was so delighted when it arrived today in the mail... I have been playing around with it ever since.

This card is also my submission for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge # 36.

I started out with Whisper White CS as my base.
Then I stamped the flower pieces all over the Real Red CS and adhered it on the left hand side of the card base.

For the main image I stamped the flowers and stems with Real Red and Old Olive Ink. The center of the flowers were "bedazzled" with the Dazzling Diamond Glitter and then placed on
Old Olive Cardstock. I also added the cute little butterfly from the "Pretty Petals" BG Stamp and raised it close to the flower.

I finished the card by adding some Silver Brads. ~TFL!!!~

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Pretty Petals

Happy TGIF!!!

I love Fridays....,because of Sharon's and Beate's challenges!!!

I didn't get my creative juices flowing for their last challenge, so I was very happy to see todays.....

Sharon's is about "Flourishes".....who doesn't like that???? Oh my goodness most of my stamps are flowers...

Here is what I created today with the "Pretty Petals " Background Stamp.

I colored the BG stamp with the following Markers -
Old Olive, Pumkin Pie, Real Red and Ochrid Opulence. I do love that combo!!!

I did raise one of the Pumkin Pie flowers up with a Stampin Dimensional and I added a clear gemstone on each flower.

Since Sharon's challenge stands out for simplicity - I had to add the gorgeous new Silver Hardware from SU!!! I bet you can't wait to get you hands on that....- tease!!! LOL!!! You will love it!!!

The sentiment from the "Sweet Serendipity" was randomly colored with the Markers too. ~TFL!!!~

Baroque Motifs

Good Morning everybody!!!

I like todays "Way to use it" challenge #154...it's about "Window" cards!!!

I made a similar card not to long ago with the "A Beautiful Thing" set....so this layout came in handy today!!!

For todays card I used the "Baroque Motifs" set and also the "Brocade Background" DSP.

The DSP was placed on a Old Olive CS. Then I used my square Coluzzle template and cut the window. Then I used the distressing tool in the window.

For the center piece in the window I used the flower from the "Baroque Motifs" set and stamped it in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and embossed it with the Dark Brown Embossing Powder from the retired Powder Stack.

I cut the image out and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals before I placed it on a square piece of Whisper White CS which was attached on the inside of the card.

Then I used the Mat Pack to decide where I wanted to place the Jumbo Brads. The Brads were finished off with some "Pearl Gems" from the "Pretties Kit".

For a more elegant look I used the Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. ~TFL~

I Just Love You

Nice Sketch for todays challenge #164!!!

Here is what I came up with....

I used Groovy Guava as a base and added Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip Cardstock.

The Certainly Celery CS was stamped with the same ink and I used the "Background Sampler" Set for it.

The So Saffron CS was also inked in the same color and I used the "Three For You" Punch Box Set.

The Chocolate Chip CS was punched with the Corner Punch to make "Scallops". I also added some "Mini Silver Brads" on it.

The main image is from the "Sassy Stems" Set and I used the Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron
and Groovy Guave Inks. I colored it all in with a Blender Pen.

The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink and it is from the "Just Like You" Set.

The finishing touch was the Groovy Guava DS Ribbon and the Dazzling Diamond Glitter on the flower. ~TFL!!!~

Laughter

Todays color challenge #154 is so pretty -
Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery and Pumkin Pie.

Interesting combo.....but I do like it!!!

I rarely use non SU stampin products, but this one is really growing on me. It is a set from "Hero Arts"
called "Fanciful Filaments". I have used it on another card....which you can find if you browse further down on my blog!!!

For the image on my card I used the same colors that are required for the challenge and I also added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to make it "sparkle"!!!

The sentiment is from the "Sweet Serendipity" set and I randomly colored it with the Markers.

I have been holding on to my beautiful new silver hardware....., but today I thought it would give my card the perfect touch!!!

The Ribbon was bought at Michaels and it fits the Pumkin Pie color to a "t"!!! ~TFL~

Birthday Treat Pouch

Okay - I must admit - these little pouches are just too cute...and so , so easy to make!!!

I thought I'd try one with a kids birthday theme....
and I had to use the "All in the Family" plus the
"Family Accessories" sets!!!

You could use these as a "Thank You" gift or as a bring along.....

I'll definitely make some for my oldest daughters birthday which is the end of the month...she loves to make jewelry and we'll stuff the pouches with something handmade!!!

On this pouch I used So Saffron, Tempting Turquiose and Pretty in Pink Cardstock. I also used Tempting Turquiose, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and Regal Rose Markers.

As you can tell I pierced around the envelope and on the handle. I also used the Crystal Effect on the balloons. I did not add any sentiment at this time....TFL!!!

Envelope Pouch

This "Envelope Pouch" was todays "Try a new Technique" challenge theme #156.

Super easy to make.!!! For my pouch I used a white standard size envelope. I decorated it with the
embellishments from the Simply Scrappin Kit -
"Friends & Flowers"....not much stampin involved.

I only added the "i just love you" sentiment from the "Just Like You" stamp set. Then I punched out the Tempting Turquiose flower with the 5-Petal Flower Punch and added the Build-A-Brad in the middle.....which was also raised with some Stampin Dimensionals.

To finish it off I pierced around the envelope and voila - there it is!!!

Cute little treat pouch - great idea for Easter!!! TFL!!!

Good Luck

Hello again - I felt like making another card ....

I used the "Boho Backgrounds" set for this card.

The card base is River Rock and I layered Groovy Guava on top. I stamped the circle background stamp in Groovy Guava on top of the GG Cardstock.
Then I used the circle Coluzzle and cut the Purley Pomegranate CS and the Whisper White CS out. I also distressed both circles....

The circled Boho image was stamped twice in Purley Pomegranate. The second center image was cut down to the flower and placed on top of the first one with a Stampin Dimensional. A clear Rhinestone Brad was place in the center of the flower.

At last I pierced the card in the corners and stamped the "Good Luck" sentiment from the "Fundamental Phrases" set.

Have a good weekend!!!

Happy Birthday

This is my card for today's Limited Supply Challenge # 155. The theme is "Round & Round We Go".....

For this card I chose these stamp sets: Dotted BG, Little Birthday Cheer and Big Flowers.

I started stamping the "Dotted" BG stamp on Pretty in Pink CS and cut it just a little bit smaller in width and length. Then I adhered it to my base card which I made Purely Pomegranate. I placed the PP Satin Ribbon on the bottom edge of the Pretty in Pink CS.

The round Chipboard is from the retired "On Board Trimmings" set. I added some Martha Stewart Glitter on top. I also added some Stampin Dimensionals on the back to raise it up....

The next step was stamping the flower stamp from the "Big Flower" set in Purley Pomegrante Ink twice...the center flower was trimmed and raised onto the first one. I also added a clear Rhinestone Brad from the "Pretties Kit".

After I had stamped the flowers I punched the image out with the 1 3/8" punch and added a Pretty in Pink CS behind it which I had punched out with a 1 1/2" punch (EK-Success). At the end I stamped the sentiment from the "Little Birthday Cheer".......TFL!!!

Fashion Diva

Oh boy, oh boy....the "Way to use it" challenge #153 is a tough one for me today....- it's fashion related - not that I have a problem with fashion, but I had so many options that I could not decide what to do?!?

Then I remembered this super cute set called "Totally Cool" I have bought my oldest daughter Sarah - who is the absolute "Fashion Diva" in our house - and I guess it came in handy today!!!

I used all bright colors from Stampin Up - Ink and Cardstock . The image was colored with a Blender Pen. After all the coloring I "bedazzled" some areas with the Diamond Glitter.....TFL!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Nicole has asked me "What I meant about the self-made Marker...."

It's when you use a "Blender Pen" and let it soak in the choice of your "Re-Ink" color.

In my case I used the Wild Wasabi "Re-Inker" and made my own Marker (Blender Pen) , since SU does not sell the "In Colors" as Markers!!!

Hope that help....~Silke

Add on: Carol asked "if you could use an older, dried up Blender Pen....???"

I always used a "new" Blender Pen, since you want the Pen to really be able to soak it up!!! But then again I have not tried an older BP....I also know that some stores sell the "Re-Inker" for the Blender Pen too - just another option to bring your older Blender Pen up to speed!!! ~Silke~

Just Like You

What a great sketch for today's challenge #163....

I finally used my "Just Like You" set that I have bought last year!!! Not only is it a cute set , it also supports a great cause the "Ronald McDonald" House Charities!!!

For this card I used Wild Wasabi CS as the base.
Then I added the Pretty in Pink CS on top - which I stamped the "wavy" stamp in the same color. After I layered it I started piercing around it and then I placed the Dotted Wild Wasabi Prints Pack DSP in the left hand corner.

I also punched out the WW and PP with the "Photo
Corner". Then added some green Rhinestone Brads.

The main image was colored with Regal Rose , Pretty in Pink and self made Wild Wasabi Markers.
To finish that off I "bedazzled" it with the Diamond Glitter and placed it on PP CS.

The sentiment was also stamped in Wild Wasabi....TFL!!!

Birthday Whimsy

You can never have to many birthday stamp sets.....and this fun set is called "Birthday Whimsy" from the Sale-A-Bration brochure - which can be yours with a $50 order - for FREE!!!

When I saw today's Color Challenge #153 - Green Galore, Kraft and Tempting Turquiose - I thought of birthday colors!!!

I love bold and bright colors!!! And to be quite frankly - I would have never picked this color combo...but that's why I like to participate in this challenge too!!! Also I think this combo is super fun.....!!!

I started with Kraft as my base color then added the other colors as layers.

The image was stamped in Tempting Turquiose and Green Galore on Whisper White. I used the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" for precise setting and after the colors had dried I added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The sentiment also comes with the set and it was stamped in Tempting Turquiose on Whisper White.

Again I had layered the CS with the image and placed some Stampin Dimensionals to raise it....
one of the TT "birthday" boxes was also raised with the Dimensionals. TFL!!!

Everything

Happy Monday!!!

Always a busy day for me.....just had a chance to make this card for today's TLC #155.

Faith Hofrichter aka "markie's mom" on SCS is hosting this challenge and she came up with this technique a couple of years ago. It's called Ink-Spray & Smash - doesn't that sound like fun???
By the way - I absolutely love Faith's creations!!!

I have been meaning to try this technique for a long time, but I always get sidetracked....so today is the perfect day.

Do not ask me why I choose the colors that I have ....no clue they just fell in to my hands - LOL!!!
No - that's not quite true - I wanted to create something bold, but yet with a soft touch...and I came up with Yoyo Yellow and Pretty in Pink.

Step number one was that - I followed Faith's Ink-Spray & Smash tutorial she has listed on her blog . I used Glossy CS for this and I had to let it dry for a couple of minutes before I layered it onto Basic Black CS. The base of my card is Yoyo Yellow. The pretty hearts are from the new "Always" Stamps Set and I stamped them with Basic Black Ink straight onto the blended Cardstock. I did the same with the sentiment and as you can see I dotted around the black rim of the individual pieces...I got that idea also from Faith!!! I guess it was a Faith's kinda project....-LOL!!!

Hope you had a chance to play too??? Don't forget tomorrow I'll pick a WINNER.....for my Blog Candy!!!

Delight Yourself

Hello everybody......hope you had a chance to sleep in???

I did a little...but with three girls who have to much energy it's not always possible....

I'm participating in the Bible Verse Challenge "BVC08" over in the SCS forum. You can also read more in Lori Craig's Blog which is listed on the left hand side.

I was one card behind since this started already in January, but I caught up today with this card.....

Have you ever used Elegant Eggplant and River Rock together??? Well if not - here it is....I think it is stunning!!! If you have these colors at home put them together and let me know what you think...hey maybe create your own card and leave me a link to your card on my blog - I would love to see what you come up with!!!

Anyway, on my card I started with River Rock. The Elegant Eggplant CS was embossed with a Cuttlebug template and I destressed the edges. Then I also embossed the second RR CS layer and distressed the edges as well. The Psalm was computer generated and printed on Whisper White Cardstock.

I punched out a couple flowers with the new Boho Blossom and the 5-Petal Flower Punch. I completed them with the lilac Rhinestone Brad. All the flowers were place on Stampin Dimensionals .

Looking forward to some Elegant Eggplant and River Rock Cards......TFL!!!

Boho Backgrounds

Ladies, if you don't have this "Boho Backgrounds"
Set yet - make sure you order it!!! It is gorgeous.....and the prize is right too!!!

This is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #34. Another great layout!!!

For the base of my card I used So Saffron, the strip to the left is Groovy Guava and I also stamped the Background Stamp with the same color. I also used Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

The circle image was inked in Chocolate Chip and also in Groovy Guava. The GG image was cut down to the center flower. I added a Silver Brad in it and placed it on a Stampin Dimensional.

For the sentiment I used a Chocolate Chip Marker.

Love You Defined

Happy TGIF!!!

This is my card for todays Limited Supply Challenge #154 making "Non Traditional Valentine" cards.

Wow - this challenge did not allow flowers, hearts, any red colors including pink....tough!!!

So I had to think ..... sticking to "plain" was the answer.

Well - here we go. The base is River Rock. I added Blue Bayou, Really Rust and Watercolor CS.

The "love" sentiment is from the "Jumbo Outline
Alphabet". I stamped it on with Black Stazon and blended in with Blue Bayou. Then I layered the image on the Really Rust and started piercing it.

On the Blue Bayou CS I used the new "Dotted Lines" Jumbo Wheel and matched it with the same color ink.

I also stamped the "you" sentiment from the "Define Your Life" Set in River Rock Ink right below the "love" image and finished the card off with Copper Brads.......TFL!!!

Baby Combo

I had to show you these two cards together....

Aren't they pretty???

Baby Boy

This card is the same as the "Baby Girl" card below....

What I love about this patteren CS is that it matches the SU colors!!!

If you ever have the time - go and check out
their website

http://www.creativeimaginations.us/

Baby Girl

This is an idea I have seen a couple of years ago in a magazine....I can't recall who made it - but I always loved it!!!

For this card I used the patterned Cardstock from "Creative Imaginations". They have some great color choices... I also added So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. The Ribbon is "Apricot" from SU and I also added some Copper Hardware from SU.

The center part was distressed and the image was placed on Dimensionals. I had to add the cute small and large "Star" from SU too....TFL!!!

Elegant Inspirations

We had a busy morning already...We are planning to send Miriam to a Preschool that's a little closer to us, so we had a chance to go with my friend Sharon to the FBC here in town.
Mimi's boyfriend Brayden showed her around and I wish you could have seen the both of them...just too cute!!! Mimi loves him with all her heart.....

I made this card for two challenges - WT152 and BVC08.

I had bought this "Elegant Inspiration" Set a while back and I thought it was perfect for the Bible Verse Challenge. The WT152 Challenge is about
"Polka Dots" and let me tell you I have plenty of them...I already have an idea for my next card.....

Anyway, for this card I used this Polka Dot DSP made by "Creative Imaginations". It was thick enough to make it my base card. The sentiment was placed on a rectangular "Nesti". I added a red flower to give it a little punch....and to balance all the polka dots out I added a strip of Basic Black CS and placed some red brads on it.....TFL!!!

My Wonderful Friend

Have you seen today's Sketch Challenge #162??? I really like the layout of this Sketch......

Here is my card - the base is So Saffron. I also used Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

For the Ink I used Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip.

The new "Dotted Lines" Jumbo Wheel was used on the Groovy Guava strip.

I also used the new large "Star" Punch and the little "Star" Punch from Stampin Up. I finished the card with adding some Copper Brads on the sentiment - which is from the "Wonderful Favorites" Set - and on the "Star".

Go and try to make a card for today's challenge......and have fun!!!~TFL~

Glorious Gift

While I'm waiting for my clothes to get dry -I had time to make another card....

Plus the colors for today's challenge and the beautiful weather down here in GA are getting me into "Spring Fever"!!!

The "Glorious Gift" Set was one of my favorites last Spring and since Easter is right around the corner I thought this would be a great choice to make another "Easter" card - actually I'm trying to break free from that darn cute "Chicken"!!!

This time I used Real Red for my base color. The sentiment was stamped with Ballet Blue on Whisper White Cardstock then I crumble it all up and straighted it up again to layer it onto an Apricot Appeal CS.

The flowers were stamped in the same colors as the Cardstock. Then I cut them out and raised with them with Dimensionals plus I added small red Rhinestones from SU on each smaller flower.....Thanks for stopping by again!!!

Love that Chick

This "Chick" is growing on me!!! It's just too darn cute!!!

I had to use it again for today's Color Challenge #152 - which is Ballet Blue, Real Red and Apricot Appeal.

These colors are again - just beautiful!!!

I started with Ballet Blue as my base color. Then I stamped the "Chick" with Black Stazon on Whisper White twice and layered the second part on top of the first on with Stampin Dimensionals. I also stamped the "Chick" on Real Red Prints Pack DSP - then I cut that the "egg" part out and adhered it to the image.

I watercolored the inside of the "Chick" with Apricot Appeal.

The whole image was layered on Real Red and on Apricot Appeal Cardstock. Then I pierced around the AA CS.

The "Happy Easter" sentiment is from a $1 Set I bought at A.C. Moore and I placed it on a square Copper Label Holder and attached it to the new Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
Today is weigh in day again.....Tuesdays come around fast now!!!

I'm 163 pounds and that means I lost 8 pounds so far!!! Actually I was hoping it's more....but I guess I have to be happy with this result after all this is suppose to be a long term change, not just a quick fix right??? LOL!!!

I added some more walking to my daily routine....and even though I did not lose that much - I really can tell that I have lost some inches around my tummy and hip area.

Just stick with me and hopefully I be able to give some BLOGCANDY away soon......~Silke~

Wild About You Centerpiece

How cute are the Centerpieces for today's TLC154
challenge???

Even though it's been a busy day I knew I wanted to try one!!!

I knew instantly that I wanted to use the "Wild About You" Set again...since I made a birthday card with this Set on Saturday - this was the perfect addition to my "Birthday" theme.....

The "Centerpiece" was made with the new 6"x6"
Wild Wasabi Print Pack DSP. I also used So Saffron, Chocolate Chip CS. The Ink was the same.

I filled it with "Mini M&M's" - yummy - I better hide this from my girls......

Isn't that a cute idea for a birthday party???

Wild About You

Beate's Weekend Challenge was so much fun that I had to use it again today to make my favorite little man "Jordan" a birthday card!!!

Everyone knows I am "wild about him"!!! LOL!!!

I can't believe he is "1" years old today....time does fly by fast!!!

I was being lazy all day browsing the SCS Site and by the time I got to make the card the daylight was not so great anymore....so this is the best picture I made.

For this card I used Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron Cardstock - same Ink colors. I layered the CS and raises them with Dimensionals. I also pierced in between the images and added some Copper Brads......The card was finished off with the DS WW Ribbon and a tag.....TFL!!!

For You - WSC#33

This card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge#33.

Wow - this one took a little longer than I thought....
but I absolutely love the end result!!!

I used my favorited "So Much" Set...and for the tag I used "One of a Kind".

The colors for this card are Chocolate Chip and Groovy Guava, GG DSP and Very Vanilla.

I had to play around a little bit to make everthing fit...I added the gorgeous Chocolate Satin Ribbon, Antique Jumbo Brads and the Pearls from my newly earned "Pretty Kit"!!!

I think I'm done for the day - LOL!!!

Have a great weekend and make a card.....TFL!!!

Go Team

This is my submission for the LSC#153 - it's all about Superbowl!!!

I guess I'm hoping for the Patriot's to win!!!

Okay , I don't have any "ball" stamps so I had to settle for the "Cheerleading" one...Hey - they are part of it!!! Plus I just redesigned the outfits for the Patriot's Cheerleaders - LOL!!!

This is one is dedicated to my daughter "Rebecca" - she always goes with my husband to the GSU Football Games and she loves to watch the Cheerleaders - of course she cheerleaded this
past Summer too!!!

The colors for this card are Real Red, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White.

The images are from the "It's a Cheer Thing" Set.
I stamped the larger one with Black Stazon first and stamped it again...for the "Pom Poms" and they were cut out and raises with Dimensionals.

The "Cheerleader" image was colored with Watercolor Crayons in the same colors as the CS.....I also added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter for the "Pom Poms". The sentiment was stamped in Real Red Ink and cut out. Then I placed it on a 1 1/4" RR circle and raised it on a punched out NQN Designer Label. The Ribbon is from Michaels and is a perfect match to the whole set.....TFL!!!

Hope you'll have fun watching the Super Bowl and may the "best" Team win!!!

Sweet 16

As you already know I like to work with "Chipboards".....this card was created for a very sweet young lady that turned sweet 16 - our babysitter Hannah!!!

My girls just adore her....and I wanted to make something special for her. She celebrated her birthday the other day so she saw the card already and I asked her if I could reveal it on my blog.....

The base of the card is So Saffron, I also used the Prints Pack DSP Preetty in Pink and some Purley Pomegrante for the punched out flower.

The chipboard numbers are from Basic Grey and I glittered them with Martha Stewards Glitter which matches the Purley Pomegranate colors....I added some DS PP Ribbon and some pretty turquoise Rhinestone Brads. I finished the card off by distressing the edges of the DSP , then I did some piercing around the punched out circle and in the corners of the card.......TFL!!!

I just saw Sharon's challenge # 20 "To make your card look pretty" so I filed it under her challenge.....because - glittered chipboard really make a card look pretty - LOL!!!
